Cheat mode (game play)
Press one of the following keys during game play to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: The cheats are valid only in certain versions of the game.

Cheat mode (title screen)
Enter one of the following codes at the title screen that features the words "Bubble Bobble" written in a cloud. A message will appear to confirm correct code entry.
|Power up mode with fast feet and fast bubbles||Left, Jump, Left, [F1], Left, Bubble, Left, [F1]|
|Original game mode with bonus doors to treasure rooms||Bubble, Jump, Bubble, Jump, Bubble, Jump, Right, [F1]|
|Super mode with new monsters and true ending||F1, Jump, Bubble, Left, Right, Jump, [F1], Right|
Cheat mode (high score screen)
Enter one of the following initials at the high score screen to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Some codes only have an effect on the second bonus object that appears on the first set of levels. The best way to see the effects are to bubble the three monsters and wait for the second bonus to appear. Collect the bonus, then blow as many bubbles as possible to get the maximum points. Also blow bubbles and burst them while you wait or are running along the bottom of the screen to force certain bonuses to appear on the following level.

Level 1: Bonus fruit
Shoot the first two monsters with bubbles, then fill the screen with bubbles. Then, bubble and burst the third and final monster. All bubbles still on the screen will turn into fruit.
