Buy a new car without paying
Go to the car lot and buy a car once you have saved up the necessary amount of money. Enter the race for a discount when Sam asks you. At start of race, press the "Pause" button (Start by default) and select "Return to Main Menu." Back out of the menus to your car status screen. You will have the new car you selected, but also still have your money.
