Edit game
- Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "constant.ini" file in the game directory. Change the number in the PlayerStartMoney line to any desired value. You can also change the maximum number of visitors, dinosaurs, and fences in the park.
- Use the following steps to change the stats for every unit in the park. Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the files in the "data/units" folder in the game directory. These are the files that you can modify. You can make them do anything. For example, open the "Turret" file. Scroll down until you find a section labeled Unit Specifics. In this section you can change the number of sentry turrets in the park. If you open the "Raptor" file (for the Velociraptors), scroll down until you find a line labeled LifeSpan=<number>. Change the number to however long you want it to live. The number to the right of the decimal are months, the number to the left of the decimal are years. Note: Do not modify the files without the gears on the icon.
- Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit one of the following files in the game directory: "trex.ini", "dilopho.ini", "carch.ini", "spino.ini", "raptor.ini", and "acro.ini". You can change anything in the file except of its name as desired.
- There are many different factors you can change by editing the "constant.ini" file, but some are more useful than others. For example, changing the HuntingRifleTimeToLoadRound, HuntingRifleRecoilMagnitude, and HuntingRifleReloadWait to a zero value will result in a hunting rifle with no reload time and no recoil, which is extremely helpful in some mini-games. Also, by editing SafariMaxPhotos and JeepFuelLimit, you will last longer in the safari rounds. In addition, you can edit the MaxDinoPopulation variable to have as many as 999 dinosaurs onscreen at one time. There are other variables for stating park money, entry fees, how much money is earned by the money cheat, the cost for paths, and dinosaur incubation times, which allows for dinosaurs to spawn immediately.
- Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "fsl hunt" file in the game directory. Change the No. of dig sites=5 line to No. of dig sites=9 to unlock all dig sites.

Hints
More visitors
- If you want more people to visit your park, build four or five entrances on all different sides.
- Enable the "Seal Of Approval" code to get five stars. Put as many entrances as you can, then open your park. The chopper should appear instantly, and lots of people should walk through the entrance.
- Create a no enclosure safari (still fencing off carnivores). Place a large square fence around the area where people arrive in the space. Fill it with dinosaurs that do not eat humans, then create a small gap in the fence to let humans pass through. Place musters there to stop dinosaurs crossing. On the other side of the fence, continue building a fenced-off dinosaur park. If done correctly, your star rating will keep going up.
- Before you open the park, set the entrance fee to 5,000 and 100 people will come in at full price. After that, lower it to 200 so that it will be normal, otherwise no one will come again.
Avoiding visitor deaths
- Never build a Safari Adventure in your T-Rex cage. The visitors inside of the car will not live too long.
- Never put more than one T-Rex in one cage. One will be killed and the other badly injured; and the visitors around the cage will get scared to death. This costs you a lot of money, for the T-Rexes and the fines.
- If you have a Safari adventure ride and want large carnivores in the enclosure where the ride is located, simply put two carnivores fighting for territory in the enclosure and wait for a winner. The winner will not attack the land cruiser. However, this will not work for Charcardontosaurus or Acrocanthersaurus. They will still attack the land cruiser. Allosaurus will only attack the land cruiser if it beeps its horn, makes other dinosaurs upset, or if it just gets annoyed. You must get rid of the loser after a big carnivore fight; they will attack the land cruiser and also stress-out and kill other dinosaurs.
Getting high authenticity level for Safari ride
Have two large enclosures, one for Jurassic dinosaurs
and another for Cretaceous dinosaurs. Fill them both with paleo
trees. Keep enabling the money cheats to add as many as possible.
Try not to make too many mechanical object too visible, such as
hatcheries. Try to hide them with small mountains or lots of vegetation.
Have a mixture of herbivores and carnivores in both enclosures.
You will then get a rather high authenticity level.
Impressing visitors
- Place Gallimimus or any four star attraction dinosaur in a large enclosure. Give them lots of friends and place a safari ride that drives away from them. Make sure the land cruiser does not scare the dinosaurs away. Soon, the Fun Lovers will leave happy. This also works the same way for Dino Nerds, only put the same time period dinosaurs from the same region in an enclosure.
- Build an enclosure with a gap and lots of herbivores. Create a path through it. Put Avoidance Beacons and Amenities on the path, and your star rating will go very high.
- Dino nerds are the most difficult visitors to impress. Try using dinosaurs from the same time period (for example, the late Cretaceous) that are mixed (herbivores and carnivores). They may also like a carnivore taking down a herbivore. If you do not have any dinosaurs from the same time period, use dinosaurs from the same place of discovery (for example, Arizona or China).
High rating
Fence in your park and let dinosaurs wander outside
the fence. Keep small herbivores inside roaming free.
Saving money
- To save a little money, build a small enclosure around a hatchery. When you hatch a dinosaur, sedate it, and move it to its cage.
- Build your concessions and park entrances inside a fence. Then, run a fence through the middle of the land and make some hatcheries. Also, put some Auto Lures near the fence so that people can see the dinosaurs. This saves time and money, as you do not build individual cages.
Edmontosaurus
Unlock the Hell Creek Formation B. Buy five teams if you have the money, then search for Edmontosaurus. When it has 100% D.N.A., look at a hatchery. Notice that it lives for six years.
T-Rex
To get some T-Rex DNA, unlock Judith River Formation B and put your dig teams there. They will find T-Rex remains.
Spinosaurus: Rampages
Spinosaurus always go on a rampage sooner or later.
Be prepared to kill one and hatch a new one. Never put more than
one Spinosaurus in a cage. If you do, one will go on a rampage
in the first few months. Never put a Spinosaurus in with other
large carnivores. The Spinosaurus or the other type of dinosaur
will go on a rampage.
Dinosaurs fights
No dinosaur will fight a Brachiosaur, but you can get
many carnivores to fight each other. However, Acrocanthersaurus
and Charcardontosaurus will fight each other at site B only when
when stressed. They will not fight for territory. T. Rex and Spino
will fight Ankylosaurs, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus when they
are hungry. The biggest fights are the T. Rex vs. Spino. If Spino,
wins they will be impressed. If T. Rex wins, it will not look
too authentic. Raptors will not attack each other, Dilophosaurus,
or any other small carnivores unless they are stressed.
Rescue The President level
Shoot the Raptors first. Then, run fast and escape.
Once they are all dead, take out the Spinosaurus and then any
desired dinosaur.
Helicopter disappears
After a helicopter arrives with visitors, follow it.
As it starts to fly over the ocean, it will disappear.
Vegetarian-friendly Site B
You can place herbivores and carnivores on the same
Site B without them hurting or eating each other. Build mountains
where you would normally put fences in a park. The dinosaurs will
not attempt to cross over the mountains. The carnivores cannot
eat your herbivores or fight with other carnivores.
Fossil locations
The following dinosaurs can be found at the indicated sites. Note: The Judith River Group A and Morrison Formation A sites have less tornados.
- Hell Creek Formation A: Parasaurolophus, Torosaurus and Acrocanthosaurus.
- Judith River Group A: Albertosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus and Ankylosaurus.
- Morrison Formation A: Ceratosaurus, Dryosaurus and Stegosaurus.
Accurate dinosaur placement
If you place animals in their correct period it helps
with "realism" for your tourists and thus improves your
star rating.
