Hints
Punting
Due to the fact that the punt blockers do not like
to block very much, you should select the "Punt Block"
formation instead of any other punt return formation. With the
"Punt Block" formation, the punting team will not be
spread out, therefore allowing your blockers to somewhat block
for you; which in turn will give you more time to field the ball
and have a little space to start something big.
Onside kicks
This trick works with any kicker. When you are kicking
off, select "Onside Kick" when the return team is switching
formation. When they are set, take the power bar all the way to
the top, but do not select it. Bring it all the way down so that
the power is at 31. Next, make your accuracy 97 to 99. The ball
will hit the ground and go up straight up in the air every time.
Have one of your Kick Off that is close to the ball sprint toward
it. This makes all your players follow, and you will get it every
time.
Easy sacks
Be a defensive lineman and back up a few feet. When
the play starts, immediately run forward and hitsick an offensive
lineman. He will fall down and your person will still be running
fast towards the quarterback. Then, sack him.
Pause game play, then go to the settings. Go to the penalties,
then turn off offsides. You will now be able to hold Run
and never cross the line of scrimmage. Grab a linebacker and set
a new record for sacks in a game.
Line up in the 4-3 defense and run the LOLB <player's name>
Blitz, and use it every play. You will get between five and ten
sacks per game. This is also a good way to develop young linebackers.
Go to the settings and turn off offsides. Get a fast runner, go
to the line of scrimmage, and keep running. He will be running
in place. When the QB calls hike, he will run past the defenders
and get a sack. This works about 80% of the time.
Easy touchdowns
Take the best wide receiver on your team and put him
in the tightend position. Audible his route so he does a fly (straight)
route. Because he has such a low overall rating, they might just
have a line backer on him or he might not even be covered. Throw
it to him and he will easily be able to burn the defense.
Before playing a game, whenever you are selecting your jersey
choose a different playbook. Select the "NE-Coach" playbook.
On offense, first down or any down (works best for fourth and
long), make sure you have a fast wide receiver like Santana Moss
or Randy Moss. Choose the "SIngleback- Twin TE WR" formation.
Next, select the play "PA Rollout". Audible all your
players to do a five yard in, except for the optioned WR (first
string) and TE on the right-hand side. Snap the ball and roll
out to your right. Keep rolling out and wait until the play develops,
which only takes a short time. Throw the ball to the optioned
WR once he is wide open. If there is a CB waiting there to intercept
the ball, just lob the ball to your TE who will always be wide
open. About 90% of the time the WR will be wide open (although
he may have one CB directly behind him covering; throw the ball
regardless if he is very fast). This should result in a gain of
about 17 yards. Do not overuse this play. Usually if the WR is
very fast, he will burn the CB, LB, SS, etc., catch the ball,
and run for a touchdown. If the ball gets knocked down or intercepted,
it is probably because you did not execute the play properly.
This play must be executed very well for it to work. You should
try practicing it with your franchise team/Superstar team before
actually using it in a game. The Redskins are recommended for
this play, because they have a good QB and Santana Moss is fast.
This works best with a fairly accurate QB and a WR with Spectacular Catch (preferably tall). It works even better if your WR is mismatched. If you are inside the redzone, call for a pass play. Pick a play where your best WR with Spectacular Catch runs a fly route. During the play, throw a high bullet pass to the WR when they reach the endzone. The WR should catch up high with one hand, pulling it in for a touchdown.
Easy 2 points
After you score a touchdown, go for two. Select the
play "FB Run". Snap the ball, run up a little, then
dive into the endzone. Your fullback should dive over the linemen
and go into the endzone. This works about 95% of the time.

Touchdown on goal line
If you throw a touchdown pass and your receiver catches
it on the goal line and it is ruled a touchdown, it will add a
touchdown to your stats. If the other coach challenges the touchdown
and it is called back and put on the inches line to the goal,
you will still have thrown and caught a touchdown.
Easy blocked field goals and punts
When playing against the CPU and it is a punt or field
goal situation, switch to the end player on defense. If the opposing
punt team is in a regular punt formation, select punt block on
defense. The offense will adjust to a protection formation. If
not, this is easy. Before the last player makes his adjustment,
he puts his hands on his knees. If you begin to charge at the
kicker you should not get a penalty if timed correctly. You will
get an extra jump on the kicker and should tackle him or block
the punt or field goal.
Recommended defense
Pick a Nickel defense and go to Overstorm Brave. When
your defense goes to the line, move your defensive line out, your
linebackers in, and your defensive backs in. Select any of the
defensive lineman or linebackers. This will work over 85% of the time.
Easy training camp points
When on offense, select an offense with three receivers.
Trip Bunch in Single Back formation works very well. Put the defense
on goal line Zone CB cover. By doing this, no one rushes your
QB, and once your receiver gets past the zone, they are left unguarded
in the endzone for a guaranteed 48 points per play almost all
of the time. This should work with most short zone coverages and
does not take many attempts to learn which receiver to pick, mostly
anyone running a long slant.
Booth review under two minutes
When under two minutes in the second or fourth quarter,
when a play is questionable press RT + LT
Xbox 360 when you
return to the play selection screen. Booth will then review the
play most of the time it is overturned.
Touchdown celebrations
When you play as the Eagles against the Ravens and
score a touchdown with T.O., dive in the endzone by pressing X
Xbox 360 .
He will do a Ray Lewis dance in the endzone as a celebration.
If you are playing as either Donovan McNabb or Daunte Culpepper
and you get tackled into the endzone scoring a touchdown, they
will do their trademark dances. Daunte will "get his roll
on" and Donovan will do the moonwalk.
When playing as the Steelers and Antwaan Randle El scores a touchdown,
press X
Xbox 360 . He will make a showoff jump, and after that he
will sometimes do the same slide as he did in the 2002 Divisional
Playoffs against the Browns, after he returned a punt for a touchdown.
Player nickname
With a player named Troy Siegel (a drafted rookie three
seasons into a franchise), Al Micheals will call him "Simian"
in his commentary when he makes a play.
Increase salary cap
Use the following trick to increase your salary cap
by millions. This works with or without fantasy draft. First,
completely simulate the draft (faster) or you can pick your players
yourself. Trade for all the players you want. After satisfied
with your team , have one extra player in every position. Select
a player, go to "Edit Player", then to "Information".
Go down to position and change the players position. Then, release
the edited player. Resign the player (his wanted salary is a lot
cheaper). Do this to all your players except the extra ones, which
you should get rid of. For an great FB, turn Jamal Lewis (HB)
into a FB. All line backers make good DEs. Turn QBs into WRs (except
M. Vick, who should be turned into a FS). Turn HBs, FBs, and TEs
into MLBs. Turn all OL into DEs. Turn all DL into OL. Turn all
LBs into HBs. Turn all WRs into HBs. Turn all DBs into WRs. WRs,
SSs, FSs, and CBs, are difficult to do this with trick. First,
you have to have them TEs for one year, then in the next offseason
turn them into LBs for a year. You can then release them, resign
them, then turn them back to what you had them at originally.
Easy first round first pick
Use the following trick to get the first pick in every
round in the draft. First, turn off the trade deadlines. Then,
trade all of your picks with the team with the worst record before
the wild card week. You will get all of their picks, and if you
have a good season, you can even trade one of your picks for two
of theirs.
Get your team in first place at a good record at week 13 to 16.
Try to get about twelve wins. Then, go to "Standings"
in "Play Week" to learn which team is worst. Go to "Trade
Player" and select your first round pick. Go to the worst
team and select their first and second round picks. Next, go to
the second worst team and trade your second, third and fourth
picks for their first and fourth round pick.
Getting good players
Before going into franchise mode, go to "View
Rosters". Go to any player that you want on your fantasy
team. Next, edit that player and go to the "Information"
screen. Change the player's position to something different than
what they started at. For example, edit Randy Moss and change
his position from "WR" to "HB". This will
make his overall stats for the new position low, because they
do not play it. Continue editing the position of the players that
you want on your fantasy team. Note: There are some players that
cannot change positions because there are too few players at that
position on the team they are on. Once you are done editing, go
to franchise mode, turn "Fantasy Draft" on, select your
team, then start the draft. Sign the players during the draft
that are available that you were not able to change positions,
then simulate the rest. Once the draft is over, go to the rosters
then to "Free Agents". Go to the positions that you
changed your players to and sign them for seven years and for
the least amount possible. Note: Some of the players may have
been drafted because they were still decent at the new position.
Release the players from your team as you are signing the players
you picked to allow enough room on the roster. You can trade for
the players that you edited and got drafted. Once you get all
the players that had edited positions, edit them again and change
their positions back to what they normally play/ You will be able
to have the players you wanted and for a low price.
In franchise mode, if you choose Fantasy Draft and you want a
good cornerback but the good ones are all gone, do not worry about
it. If it is the first round, draft a QB, RB, or WR. Then, in
the next round draft Ed Reed. After the Fantasy Draft, switch
Ed Reed to a cornerback. You will need three SS, including Ed
Reed. Also in the Fantasy Draft, pick up Rodney Harrison (switch
him to a OLB). He will be a 98 overall. Then, pick Sean Taylor
and Troy Polamalu for you starting safeties.
Injured players
Go into the depth chart and switch an injured player with the regular starter. They will act as if they had no injury. For example, if you switch Daunte Culpepper with Brad Johnson he can throw and run just as well as he would without an injury.
Making players suffer
If there is a player you dislike, do the following
to make him suffer. Go to "Features", then to "Rosters".
Select his team then choose the player and go to "Attributes".
Reduce his injury to "0". This may take awhile; you
may also want to set the game to four or five minute quarters.
