Animal Crossing

When riding in Kappn's taxi at the start, you can hear the song Kapp'n sings in the original Animal Crossing. Also, on the dashboard is a little figurine of Kapp'n in his boat.

Legend Of Zelda series

Go to a neighbor's house that has the Kiddie set of furniture. This is the set with the floor that looks like puzzle pieces. Find the long dresser that takes up two squares. Press A or tap yourself while facing it to open the drawer. A message box will pop up, reading "You found 10 rupees! Lucky! Too bad you can't use them in this town."

In the back of Katrina's tent is a trident.

Sometimes Tom Nook and Redd will sell items such as the Triforce and Master Sword. Also, sometimes neighbors will have items of value, for example the Blue Falcon. Give them shells and talk to them until they give it to you. Note: It might be in the recycling.

Mario series

Get a Pinball Machine. Zoom in and place it so that it is facing away from you while you are facing down. Look carefully at the designs. You can see Mario on the bottom part and the Mushroom Kingdom on the top part.

In the clothes shop, sometimes they will sell a Luigi hat. It will be called "Lil Bro's Hat".

The Arcade Machine (Furniture) has a picture of the Mario brothers on it, fighting.

Sometimes in the clothes shop, you will see a hat with an "M". It is called the "Big Bro's Hat". Also, sometimes you will find the "Big Bro's Mustache" and the "Big Bro's Shirt". After all are bought you will resemble Mario.

Get a Big or Lil Bro Cap and Big Bros Mustache. Then for 350 Bells at the Able Sisters, make a custom set of overalls. Your character will look like Mario.

Mario Bros.

In Pierce's (the buff blue eagle) room, open the refrigerator. The text "What are Luigi's clothes doing in here?" will appear.

Pikmin

If Gulliver falls in your town, he might say some references to Pikmin, such as "I would love to see the flowers bloom out of your seed-shaped head..." or something similar.

Sonic And Tails

After shooting down a UFO, successfully help Gulliver and chat with him. He might say something similar to "I am not sure if our kind has made contact" before. Tell me, do you know a certain bounty hunter who rolls into a ball. And a small fox? He flies a fighter. Perhaps you have seen it?" This is a reference to Sonic The Hedgehog, Tails Prower, and the Tornado.

Super Mario Sunshine

Go upstairs and listen to the music. It is the same music when you are picking a level with the stars in Super Mario Sunshine.

Kiki's Delivery Service

There is a reference to the Studio Ghibli anime film Kiki's Delivery Service. One of the random characters in Animal Crossing is a cat called Kiki. In Kiki's Delivery Service, Kiki has a cat called Jiji (or Gigi). This is an indirect reference, but the cat does bear some similarities with Jiji.

Tortimer

Go to the Post Office and talk to Pelly at the Civics part. If you look at the background, you can see a bit of Tortimer's face behind a counter.

Gamecube

Buy the Pink Box. On the top shelf of the box is an Indigo Gamecube with a controller. There are a few Gamecube games on the bottom shelf.
