On December 25th, the "Greetings, sire" dialogue will be replaced by "Merry Christmas, my liege".
Hints
Getting weapons, soldiers, resources, or food
Enable the [Alt] + X code repeatedly
until you arrive at a large sum of money. Then, buy a marketplace
so that you can buy as much food, weapons or resources desired
to get a lot of civilians to become soldiers. Make the bribe to
the maximum. Also give them double rations and builds a lot of
huts. This brings in many people, and you will soon be able to
make as many soldiers as desired.
Keep bears away
When bears kill civilians, your popularity decreases.
To avoid this, simply build a wood fence around a bear when it
appears.

Keep catapult or trebuchet firing
When your catapult or trebuchet is out of ammunition
and you have no stone in your stockpile it is not necessary to
build another one. You can still fire it if you click on the "Launch
Cow" button and click a wall or something else. Immediately
after the order is issued, click "Stop" and the catapult
or trebuchet will fire a rock. Repeat this process to keep firing.
You have to have cows remaining to do this.
Archers fire farther
During a siege such as "Kill the Rat", set
your archers at a location where they are not under attack and
are somewhat near the wall. Have them fire at something such as
a wall, gate, or tower. Immediately afterwards, click on an enemy
or building to fire upon (somewhat close to the area you targeted).
If done correctly, your archers should fire upon the new target.
This is useful to make your men fire farther and keep them out
of harm's way.
Instant transportation of goods
Isolate the stockpile, granary, and armory by surrounding them with a wooden fence, or by placing them in a non accessible area (on top of cliffs, etc.). All goods will be transported instantly to each of them. Note: Granary and armory must have at least one open space to each section as a delivery port or they will only fill up once. If the granary can not be isolated, surround farms and bakers with wooden fence for instant transport of food to the granary. If the armory can not be isolated, surround arms buildings with wooden fence for instant transport of weapons to the armory.
Faster stone transport
To speed up stone transport, surround one ox with wooden fence. One ox can handle 13 quarries in this manner.
Extra stone
Ruins can be used for extra stone.
Block enemy tunnels
Enemy tunnelers can not tunnel under caged war dogs or ruins.
Block mothers and children
Mothers and children can be confined with a wooden fence to keep them from getting in the way of building.
Rogue apples
Leave at least one space between apple farms to produce rogue apple trees. Rogue apple trees are not affected by the witch, so your apple farmers can continue to produce while your apple trees are barren. Rogue apple trees can not be chopped down for removal, but they can be burned for removal by surrounding them with pitch ditches and lighting them on fire.
Ghost
A ghost appears when a shrine is built. When two shrines are built, the ghost will go from one to the other.
Prevent wolf attacks
Repeat wolf attacks can be averted by placing a building on top of their appearance square. It must be a building that can not be stood upon by your army. If no building can be placed on top of the entry square, surround the entry point with wooden fence.
Last level
If you are having trouble completing the last level,
the last fight with wolf, because you cannot get past his defense,
take about ten archers and kill all of his archers from a distance.
It might take a while to do this, but at least you will have more
men to fight with. Note: Look out for the long range ballistas.
Another way is to kill all archers is from one side, the take
the tower and let all of our mace men kill the archers remaining.
Note: After killing the second gate house, a fire pit will appear
and will kill all men that are there. Another location is around
Wolf's keep. Do not send all of your men at once because they
will die by fire.
Map editor
Use the map editor, whatever size, and select free
build. Use invasion making map mode. When you create units and
such, you can command them and make them fight. Thus, you can
just make a map without the hassle of mining and such for those
who just love killing an enemy. You can also pick your enemy color,
or maybe be a com color and have some allies. Build your best
castle, and see if you can defeat yourself. Beware though, as
archers will kill anything nearby. In case you want to come into
a castle and have a ton of units attack you, just be the opponent
and set them to aggressive.
Iron ore in map editor
In Create A Map mode, iron can be placed at the lowest level by making a high plain, cover it with iron ore, then drop the high plain to the lowest level.
Glitches
Battering ram does not get attacked
Remove the engineers from a battering ram then order it to attack a wall or gate. The battering ram will attack its target, but will not be attacked.
