Unlockables

Shadow mode

Successfully complete a mission in Normal Story mode. You can now press Start at the mission selection screen in Story mode to switch to Shadow mode. This will allow you to replay the completed missions with more enemies, less items, and alternate layouts.

Rikimaru's unbreakable sword

Collect all scroll parts as Rikimaru.

Ayame's unbreakable sword Onibi

Get all of the map pieces in Stages 6 through 9 under the Normal difficulty. Alternately, collect all scroll parts as Ayame.

Ninja Tabi '08

Successfully complete Story mode.

Three random endless items

Get all mask parts as Rikimaru.

Oni mask

Get all mask parts as Rikimaru and Ayame. Wear it to use Onikage. If equipped with a sword he will wield an unbreakable large sword that does a big amount of damage.

Ancient Hissatsu

Complete 30 assignments.

Classic Tenchu costumes

Complete Story mode.

Colored rice

Complete all fifty training assignments with an "S" rank.

Art Gallery

Successfully complete ten assignments with an "S" rank in Assignment mode.

Music gallery

Successfully complete twenty assignments with an "S" rank in Assignment mode.

Sound gallery

Successfully complete twenty assignments with an "S" rank in Assignment mode.

Memories option

Successfully complete 40 Assignments. The "Memories" option is a gallery of videos.

Ultimate Power

Earn an "S" rank on all 50 Assignments.

Extra assignments

There are a total of four extra assignments that can be unlocked for each mission in Story mode. Your rank in a mission will determine how many of its extra assignments will become unlocked.

Two extra assignments: Get a "B" rank in a Story mode mission.

Three extra assignments: Get an "A" rank in a Story mode mission.

Four extra assignments: Get an "S" rank in a Story mode mission.
