Easy skill points

• When you fill up your and your opponent fills up their point bars, wait until your opponent uses Power Blast. Strike the batter out with Big Heat and you will get 100,000 points for a Big Strike Out. You must do this a few times.
  

• If you have Big Heat when the other team has Power Blast, use the Big Heat. If you strike the batter out with Big Heat, you will get an additional 10,000 skill points (enough for a Power Blast).
  

Easy runs

A few batters before your rookie is up, try to get base hits with them. For example, use Carl Crawford, Hank Blaylock, and Justin Morneau. If you want to do this, load up the bases if possible. Once they are loaded you should be able to hit a home run with your rookie without problems. If you do this four times you will receive unlimited Power Blasts for the rest of the game.

Easy homeruns

When you can get bat graphics, select the flame bat. Then, try to get your power ratings to the maximum. Once you have done that you will automatically hit home runs.

 Wii  When each batter comes up to bat, hold Nunchuk Up then hold Wiimote A to hit homeruns easily.

 Xbox 360  When at bat, aim the batter in his batting direction and slightly up then press B to hit a homerun. For example, if the batter is right-handed, aim him to the right and up and press B. Usually this will result in a homerun.

Rookie Challenge: Easier Contact/Distance hitting

Note: This excludes All Star weekend. You can get a better score for hitting in these drills if you place a pitcher with the fewest pitches in the #1 slot in your pitching rotation. The fewer the pitches, the more likely you will know what he is going to throw. This works even better if you have a relief pitcher who has all fastball types of pitches, (for example. fastball, 2-seam fastball, cutter). If you know what is coming, you should not have a problem hitting the ball. Make sure the pitchers you wish to use during the game are not on the "bench" otherwise you cannot use them during the game. With this exception, it does not matter what your pitching rotation order is, because you can select them before the start of the game.

Recommended players

On the Rookie Challenge you have the opportunity of stealing ten players. These are two groups of outfielders that have all that. These outfielders should improve your win percentage and increase your number of shutouts and no hitters for experienced players.
