Easy money

Xbox  After you are done creating your character, go over to the shelf in the first room to find a limeware platter worth 650 gold. To steal it without getting it taken away, take it then quickly press B to put it in your inventory. Then, drop it on the floor and press B .The guard will approach you and say something. Accept his offer, then look on the floor and pick the platter up, without getting into trouble. This can be done with any item on the shelf.

After you choosing you race, class, and sign, exit the office and go to the room with man who tells you your duties. He has a shelf with many low-priced items. However, look closely on the right side. Tucked away in the shelf, you will see a small key called the Storage Room Key. Quickly pick it up, then drop it before the guard catches you. Make sure to save before attempting this. When he walks away, pick up the key and go outside to the building parallel to the one you just walked out of. Use the key, and once inside you will find a number of boxes and urns to your right. The guard does not see you in there -- stock up on whatever you can then sell it to the trader in town. If you have a high level in Mercantile, you can sell all of it for a hefty price (usually around 800 to 100 gold).

As soon as you start finding and acquiring more expensive items by stealing, fighting, or receiving, bring the items back to a good person to barter with and drop the items nearby on the floor. For example, use the people in Balmora and others (Creeper in Caldera). In the Mage's Guild, put alchemist tools next to Ajira, and weapons next to the lady upstairs (you can barter your scrolls here also). Then, barter when you need the money, using the sell one/buy many/sell back/wait method. It is easy to get a few hundred thousand in gold with this trick. One good way to keep this going is to fight the Ordinators and bringing back their weapons and armor. If you have been paying to have the price on your head removed in the Thieves Guild, you can get this money back by bartering scrolls or books in the same way. Also, when fighting guards and Ordinators, make sure you pickpocket them first,. If you kill too many in cold blood you will be served with a death warrant.

Join Guilds, empty out their equipment chests, then sell the items to other Guild members. There is a new chest in each town with a Guild.

Buy a good summon spell such as Summon Flame Atronach. Then, buy many Greater Soul gems and Gem Feeder scrolls. Summon the Flame Atronach and cast a Gem Feeder scroll on it. Kill it and you will increase the amount of the Soul Gems. You can do this as many times as desired.

Get a Summon Spell Of Golden Saint (in a tower in Tel Branora). Go to a spell maker and lower the time to where you can use it. Then, summon and kill it somewhere safe (in a room of Ald Run Mages Guild). Just before it disappears, try to get the items. If you do not see the body behind the screen, do not pick up the items or the game will crash. Restore your Magika and try it again until successful, then sell the items.
DeathZone.

In Tel Branora (southeast islands), there is a sorceress shop in the first house coming off the boat. She sells unlimited Common Soul Gems and in Caldera (Ghorak Manor, second floor) is a Scamp named Creeper that will buy Soul Gems for 5,000 gold. Buy about fifty Common Soul Gems at 40 gold, summon an Ancestral Ghost or Greater Bonewalker, trap their soul, and sell them to Creeper for 5,000 gold.

Look in any town or hut for crates, barrels or other such things. They usually contain a little money. You may take this money without fear of being caught.

East of Vivec is the dwarven base Mzahnch. You can see it on the paper map that was included with the game. Just east of that is an island with a Mudcrab on it. The "H" in Mzahnch covers the island on the paper map. He can talk, and is a merchant with 10,000 gold. He will buy weapons and armor. He also pays 95% to 99% of the item's full price. It is the best way to sell any items. Instead of taking a loss on items more than 10,000 gold, sell him all the things that you have that are less than 10,000 gold, (Orcish, Dreugh, some Glass and Ebony things work well). A lot of higher level characters should have a lot of these items. Sell until you get enough gold (for example, 100,000), then buy back the items you sold him for very little lost profit. The Mudcrab now has that 100.000 gold. You can now sell him things like the great artifacts and get paid the full price.

Xbox  First, get at least 1,000 gold. Go to the Nalcarya Of White Haven: Fine Alchemist. Buy two Masters Calcinators, then go to your menu and select the Calcinators. You can duplicate the Calcinators by deselecting them from the alchemy screen, then re-selecting them. The calcinators will show a "3" instead of a "2". Exit out of your menus and talk to Nalcarya. Go to her barter screen, then exit. Then, do the same process as you did before. Do this as many times as desired, but do not to go very high (about 500,000 gold). Only getting about 500 to 800 gold is recommended. Then, sell about 23 Calcinators. Nalcarya will not have any money. Press Black and wait for 24 hours. Go back and talk to her then sell again. Keep selling until you get the desired amount of money. Note: Your days will go up very high. Once you run out, you can just do the trick again to get unlimited money.

If you are low on finances, enable the "Health" code, then go down to the Godsreach sewers. Kill every Goblin you can find. Their shields are worth 1,000 gold and some of them have clubs that are worth 3,000. Also, you can go to the Great Bazaar sewers. There are a lot of the Dark Brotherhood down there, with very expensive items. Go down there with pack rats, or better yet, a mercenary to help carry your goods.

Create a spell of Fortify Agility (include Soul Trap). Cast it at least twenty times. Then, create a powerful Feather spell (include Soul Trap). Cast the spell fifteen to twenty times. Buy an Almsivi or Divine Intervention scroll/spell or Mark and Recall spell. Mark a place where you will be near a rich merchant. Purchase a good weapon and get ready to fight. Try going to the Tower of Tel Fyr, southeast of Wolverine Hall in Sadrith Mora. You will need a levitation potion or spell that lasts long. Enter the tower and kill one of Divath Fyr's "daughters". Save the game before you do this. Enter Divath's Study and use the spell/potion. They will attack you, but will miss every time. Kill off the other daughters. If you have not been through the main quest with Divath Fyr, do not attack him. If you kill him, load your game again. Now that the daughters are dead, take their items. Divath Fyr cannot hit you; start taking the items in the rooms. He tries to hit you, but you will not take any damage. In the room where Divath was standing, there is an index to Indoranyon, a Dwemer Cylinder, and a key to one of the chests in the Corprusarium. Take those and anything else you left behind. Note: If you are in Telvanni, you will be expelled. Enter the Corprusarium and do not talk to the Argonian. Find the first chest and take everything in it. Search the other chests until you find the key to the chest in the Corprusarium Bowels next to the diseased dwarf. Open it and take the weapon Volendrung. Then, use your scroll/spell to get back to a nearby merchant.

Look for shells under water. Open them and collect the pearl(s). Also, in Pealegia, you will find a small village. It includes people with braces on their wrist. Go in the building with the two male blue people. Upstairs is a 44,000 gold gauntlet. Enable the "Unlimited health" code, kill the person near it, but be prepared for the other person to teleport behind you. Kill him and steal everything in their house. Sell their valuables to anyone who will buy them.

With bound Battle Axe and Levitation Spell/Rising Force potion, a good conjuration spell/axe skill, and a few thousand gold, go in the upper tower in Tel Branora. Levitate up and find the man who has the "Summon Golden Saint" spell for sale. Buy it and make a spell that summons Golden Saint for about 10 to 20 seconds. Cast the "Bound Battle-Axe" spell, and then your "Summon Golden Saint" spell. Hit the Saint with a strong chop. Before it hits the ground, activate it and take the valuable weapons. Sell them to the talking Mudcrab south of the Dwemer ruin east of Vivec.

Go to Balmora. Go to the High Alchemist and buy a pestle and mortar. Also buy Muck and Scales. There should be 10 Muck and 11 Scales. Buy 9 Scales and stop talking to her. Talk again and sell the Scales back to her. Then, buy the 10 Muck and sell it back the same way as the Scales. After that she will always have 20 of each of those items. Turn them into Drain Personality potions. They will sell cheaply at first, but you will get to level 100 Alchemy quickly. Then, they will be worth from 180 to 250 gold each. While doing this you can sell them back to her to get your money. After you get enough money, buy the Grand Masters pestle and mortar and everything else she has. Buy back the 20 Muck and Scales from her and sell them back until she has 500 of each. Buy 500, then another 500, and make 1,000 potions. Go to the Creeper in Caldera or the Talking Mudcrab. The Creeper has 5,000 gold and the Mudcrab has 10,000 gold. This is a very fast way of making money. Once you get a lot of money, go to every one you can and train everything possible. Join a house and do everything for them. They will build you a stronghold to hold your items.

In the Game Of The Year edition, get to the point where you get attacked by the assassin when you are about level 7, 8 or 9. Kill him and tell a guard. He will tell you that the assassin was a member of the Dark Brotherhood. Once you reach Mournhold, you may need to do a few quests. However, you will eventually learn where the assassins came from. Find their hideout and kill a few of them. They should drop a Glass Dagger, depending on rank. Be careful, as about six of them will attack you at a time sometimes, and they will paralyze you. When they are dead they should drop an enchanted Glass Dagger, some lock picks, and a full suit of Dark Brotherhood armor. Take it all. Because it is light armor, you can carry a lot of sets .Go to a trader or blacksmith and sell the items. If the trader runs out of money, rest 24 hours.

Go to Mournhold then to the Great Bazaar armory. Kill the High Ordinator. Take his armor and weapon(s) and sell them.

Go to Fort Frostmoth. From there, go northwest to Thormorre's Watch. Help him get rid of his curse and he will give you a key to a barrow filled with gold and other valuable items.

Go to anybody's house. Take the pillows from the top of their beds. Sometimes you may find an item that may range from from a steel dagger to a dwoemer shortsword. If you do not want the pillows, drop them or sell them to the Creeper in Caldera. He also buys bottles, bowls, anything item also sold at a local general store, or at someone's house. This is useful when trying to get some quick money when starting out.

Books

Reading some books will increase certain skills, locate places on your map, tell how to defeat various enemies, give you great history and background for the game, give you chances for quests, give riddles, tell jokes, give racial backgrounds, and tell how to make certain potions and what ingredients to use.

Azura's Star

An easier way to get Azura's Star is to get a spell to unlock 50 pts on the chest marked evidence at the beginning of the game. It should be inside.

Chrysamere

You can find a weapon named Chrysamere that is worth 95,000 gold. It is located on an island to the northeast of Tel Fyr. (Screenshot)

Daedric Dai-Katana

Use the following trick to easily get a Daedric Dai-Katana (the strongest weapon in the game) as early as first level. First, take a Silt Strider to Molag Mar. You will probably have to go to Vivec or Suran first and take a Silt Strider from there. Then, go northeast to Mount Assarnibibi and head just northeast of the Assarnibibi shrine to find an Eggmine named Maesa-Shammus. Note: This is just a general area. You may have to look around for the Eggmine. Once inside the Eggmine, go all the way to the end. The Kwama workers in here will attack you, but they die easily. When you get all the way to the Queen, look around for a wall that you can climb over. Behind it is a dead hero. Loot his body for some armor and the Daedric Dai-Katana. Note: The Daedric Dai-Katana is a two-handed long blade. If you are not skilled with long blades or like to use shields do not get it. Also, it is a very powerful weapon. Having it this early may reduce your enjoyment of the game..

Dragbone Cuirass

The Dragbone Cuirass is an 180,000 Drake cuirass with a good armor rating and 100% resistance to fire. To find it, go to a grotto called "Mudan Grotto" south of Ebonheart. It is mixed in with about five other islands. Most of the grotto is underwater. You must go through a series of underwater halls and find some keys to reach it. There is a Steam Centurion also guarding it.

Ebony Longblade and Templar Armor

At the starting room where you pick your class, steal the Limeware Platter and quickly drop it. After the guard talks to you, pick it up again. Then, sell the all of the things you found except for the platter. Quickly travel to the Silt Strider and go to Balmora. From there, travel to Caldera and enter the manor across from the traders store. Go to the top story and sell the platter to Creeper. From there. go to the Balmora Mages Guild and buy either Bound Longsword or Dagger. Then, get some armor. Travel back to the manor in Caldera and cast bound for your weapon and kill the Orc downstairs with the shirt. This will get you the Ebony Longsword (worth 20000 gp). Save the game. From there, go to Balmora and get some money by killing the trader. Then, sell all his items. Get some training in Conjuration and go to Seyda Neen. From there, go to the excise office and save the game. Then, cast bound for your weapon and attack. Resist and kill him. Go to the guard and pay around 1,000 gold. Return and collect your armor.

Ebony Armor

To find a full set of Ebony Armor, go to Vivec and make sure your skill level is high enough to kill a guard or someone similarly powerful. Go to the Arena Compound. Go to the trainers area in the Fighter's Guild. There will be someone wearing pitch black armor. Taunt him enough until he wants to fight you. He is a high elf, therefore it is very helpful to get a scroll to summon a Flame Atronach and let them fight.

Fargoth's magic ring

If you give Fargoth the ring at the start of the game you will get good deals at the store in Seyda Neen. Once you have given him the ring, go upstairs in the shop in Seyda Neen and talk to a Nord. Select the hiding place and he will tell you to look for Fargoth's hiding place. Wait until night then follow Fargoth from a distance. He will go in some water with a tree stump. Once he goes away, walk up to the tree stump. The ring is in there, as well as 300 gold.

Glass Armor

To get full glass armor, you need about 300 gold, weapons and armor, and a minimum of about 45 minutes. First, go to Suran. Go to the clothier. Directly in front of the shop will be an Orc with Glass Pauldrons, Kill her. Next on the list is Dagon Fel. Go to the smith's shop. Inside will be a person with a glass shield. Kill him and sell what you do not want to the smith. Finally, go to Malog Mar. Go to the waste works and find the door that reads "Armigars stronghold". Inside will be two Dark Elves wearing almost full Glass Armor. You can kill them if desired. Go down the stairs to the right. At the bottom should be a door to the right. Inside will be a Dark Elf with nearly full glass armor. This is who you must kill. He has the rest of the Glass Armor needed, and he has a Daedric Claymore, the game's strongest weapon. Be careful; he will use it on you. It helps if you enable the "Restore health" code before you fight him. If you kill him fast enough, he will not use the sword on you. You will have about 40 seconds to kill him. When you kill him, go out the same door and look to the right. There will be an open door. Go into there and kill the first Dark Elf you see. He has some good weapons and 2,000 gold pieces.

Imperial Newtscale Curiass

In the Game Of The Year Edition, start the game and go to the locked door in the second floor of the Seyda Need Tradehouse. Unlock it. The NPCs will not attack you, but your crime will be reported. Enter the room, and look carefully underneath the bed. You will see the armor there. It is light armor, and is good starting armor for a Khajiit.

Indorial Armor

The best armor for a Khajiit is Indorial Armor (armor rating of 117). The only way to get it is to defeat a guard patrolling the city of Vivec or Molag Mar. You must be at least level 10 because they have powerful magic and an Ebony Mace. The armor rating is only that high for a Khajiit. For everyone else, it is 47 or lower.

Keening Shortblade

You can get this sword in a part of the main quest. However, you do not have to follow the main quest to go claim it as your own. Instead, go to Odrosal, A Dwemer ruin southeast of Dagoth Ur. Inside the Dwemer Ruin, climb the ladder to retrieve the Keening Shortblade. You can get the key to the ladder from Dagoth Odros, after you kill him. Note: This sword requires Wraithguard to be worn before it can be wielded.

Lord's Mail

Use the following trick to get the Lord's Mail without having to go through the Imperial Legion's quests. Go to the castle in Ebonheart on the farthest west side. There should be a tip on the north-eastern part of the little island you are on. Jump in the water and go to that tip. There should be a door under the water. Go in it. When you are inside, walk around looking for a man with a special kind of armor. He is not difficult to find, since he is the only person in there besides yourself. Talk to him or kill him. Either way, you will get that armor if you defeat him. This is a difficult battle if you are not at a high level. However, if you are it takes only a few swings to knock him dead. Once he is defeated, take his money, armor, and sword. His sword is the Demon Katana and his armor is the Lords Mail. Its enchanted and is very good if you are skilled with heavy armor.

Orcish Armor

The best armor for an Orc is Orcish (armor rating of 97). You can get Orcish Armor behind the armorer's desk in Suran and Balmora, and in the attic of an inn in Caldera. You will know if you are in the correct location if the entire inn consists only of Orcs and a naked demon.

Redas Robe of Deeds

This has a constant effect of Feather 50 points and Detect animal for 25 feet. It can be found at the Redas Ancestral Tomb in Zantiartis. Its is south of Mar Gan on the Azura's Coast.

Sougems

Xbox  Get the spell Greater Bonewalker. Cast it, then kill it. Press A to find either a Lesser Soulgem or a Greater Soulgem.

Wraithguard gauntlets

You can get these gauntlets two different ways. One, follow the main quest and Vivec will give them to you. Or, kill Vivec and get Kagrenac's Planbook and Journals from Tureynulal and Endusal. One is a Dwemer Ruin northeast of Dagoth Ur, the other one is southwest of Dagoth Ur.

Sword Of White Woe

There are a few locations for one of the best weapons, the Sword Of White Woe.

Balmora Guard Tower: On top of dresser in the very top. Either taunt and kill the guard or find a way to grab it unseen.
Suran Guard Tower: You will need about 20 gold to do this trick, but will get a weapon worth 17,000 gold. Go to the tower in Suran by using the traveling bug thing by Seyda Neen. Go to the tower there. Go up the stairs. A guard is watching the room. Get the torch to the left by the staircase and run down the stairs. When you get to the bottom, pay the gold and return the torch. The guard will go up the stairs, but not all the way. Under the bed is the sword White Woe. Also, there are some helpful things in the closet.

Very good lockpick

A easy way to pick any lock in the game is to first get a Grand Soul Gem and Soul Trap scroll. Then, find or summon a Winged Twilight, or preferably a Golden Saint. Next, enchant an Exquisite Ring with Open Lock: Magnitude 100. You will now have a lightweight pick that will open any lock in the game, and generally has five uses before it must be recharged.

You will need 200 gold for this. When you get the Jack of Trades spell, or find a way to get a Fortify Attribute spell, go to a Spellmaker. Make a spell called Caldec's Luck, or any name desired. It should be the following: Fortify Luck 100 points (magnitude 100-100) two seconds on self. Soul Trap one second on target. Buy the spell. It will only be 160 gold. Use the spell a few times (at least two to three times recommended). Your stats should stay enhanced. Then, go to the nearest person that sells picks. Buy the Journey Man's Pick for 40 gold. You now have a pick that will open any lock (level 100) in the game.

Invisibility

in order to become Invisible, Soultrap a Golden Saint. Then, get an Exquisite Ring and either enchant it with Chameleon 100% constant effect yourself or pay someone to do it for you. Wear the ring. You can now only be seen by someone ten levels higher. This works better than Invisibility, because you will stop being invisible when you do something.

Unlimited Daedra Hearts and good weapons and shields

Xbox  Note: You must be able to cast Summon Dremora and/or Golden Saint for this trick. First, summon a Dremora or Golden Saint. Equip a powerful weapon and kill the monster. Press A just as it is falling down to get into its inventory. Sometimes the Golden Saints will even appear with a Daedric Tower Shield, which has the highest enchantment rating out of all enchantable items. Note: When you get into the monster's inventory do not press the White (dispose corpse), as it it will freeze the game as soon as the summon wears off.

Avoid damage from Scroll Of Icarian Flights

To avoid the Scroll Of Icarian Flight's damage, rest or sleep before you hit the ground.

Keep stolen items

Use the following trick to keep your stolen items if you get caught. Rather than paying someone to relieve the bounty on your head, drop everything in your inventory, except gold, somewhere you will remember. The objects will not be removed from the game. Then, pay a guard. You will not lose your stolen items and the bounty will be gone. As an additional bonus, the person you stole from will not attack you anymore or be sour towards you.

For free items, go to anyplace that has them laying about (guarded or not). Steal a couple, then run to the nearest Thieves Guild and clear your bounty. Drop gold and it is free. Then, go back and steal whatever else is desired.

If you have a wanted level, put all your stolen items, gold, etc. in the house. Go to a guard and go to jail. Then, walk back to the house and get your items. Your items will stay in the house until you take them out.

Keep bound weapons

To keep bound weapons in you inventory, enchant any weapon with a constant effect of Bound Weapon. When you equip the newly enchanted weapon, it will be replaced by the bound weapon. Then, check the menu. You should have both the enchanted weapon and the bound weapon in your inventory. The enchanted weapon can then be dropped, and the bound weapon will remain in your inventory. The weapon is not only powerful, but is weightless and will fortify the skill of the weapon by 10 points. The enchantment can be done for a cost of around 5000 to 10,000 gp, depending on who you have enchant it and how much they like you. Also, the "Constant effect enchantment" trick can be used so that a good Soul Gem is not wasted. Note: Save the game before trying this trick, as the game may freeze. Additionally, you cannot get rid of the weapons.

Getting good weapons

Use the following trick to get Daedric, Ebony, and other great weapons. Go to someone in the Mages Guild and buy the spell Summon Dramora. Kill it and just before if vanishes, click on where it died. You can take whatever desired from the Dramora. Note: You have to be good in Conjuration, and be strong or have a very good attack.

Easy armor and weapons

Look in guard towers and forts. You will notice weapons and other such things. If there is no guard, then you can steal them without worry. If there is, wait for him or her to walk away or get behind something so they cannot see you. If you cannot see them, they cannot see you. However if you are arrested or discovered, you will lose all of the items you took. It is recommended that you only look for the best items.

Permanently summoned creatures

Make spell of summon creature (for example, Summon Daedra 1 second on self with a Soul Trap on target). Look at the ground between your feet then cast the spell. You should see a purple design. The creature will be permanent until killed. Note: The creature will attack you if you attack it. Also, this will work with multiple creatures and one Soul Trap on the same spell. For example, Soul Trap, Golden Saint, Greater Bone Walker, Frost Atronach, Fire Atronach, Storm Atronach, Winged Twilight, and Ascended Sleeper). The spell can be cast multiple times for an army of creatures.

Spell costs

If you are short just a few gold to get a spell, you do not have to resort to stealing or selling your items. Join the Mage Guild and go to the spell you require. If it is just a few gold more than you have, keep asking the man and the price

of the spell will fluctuate each time.

Cheaper item enchantment

When you are going to enchant an item, always befriend the enchanter to like you 100%. You canend up saving thousands of gold. Also, if they have any scrolls, you can buy them for half of what they actually are. Note: The Mages Guild enchanter in Caldera, probably will not enchant or sell you anything until you get a higher rank in the guild.

Keep identification papers

Xbox  When you first start, run up to the guard that takes the identification papers from you. As soon as you get close to him, press B and drop your identification papers. Resume the game and he will tell you to continue. Then, pick up the identification papers from the ground.

Merchant replenishment

Unlike as commonly thought, you do not have to leave the room and rest for a merchant, such as the Mudcrab or Scamp, for their gold to replenish. To save time, just stay in front of them and just "Wait".

Getting a house

If you are becoming over-encumbered frequently and have nowhere to store your loot, kill a useless merchant or NPC with a house (obviously, while avoiding getting caught). Use it for a storage house. Items will not disappear after awhile, and no one can steal them. Ra'Virr's in Balmora is a good choice.

Getting a stronghold

A stronghold is a base where you can put all your items, and has people to train you living there in separate houses. To get a stronghold, you must join one of the following Houses: House Hlaalu, House Redoran, or House Telvanni. They are based at Balmora, Ald' Ruhn, and Sadrith Mora, respectively. If you are stealth-based, go with Hlaalu; combat-based to Redoran; and magic-based to Telvanni. Do many quests for your house until you get to rank 6. Then, one of your quest-givers should mention a stronghold. It is a very long quest divided into three parts. Each differ, depending on the house. During the quest, you must get to rank 7 in the house before it is completed. Once you have a stronghold, you can take or drop anything in your own house without criminal charges, as you did buy the land during the quest.

Super potion creation

You must have Tribunal (or have access to a Fortify Skill spell) for this trick. Go to a Spellmaker, make a spell with: Fortify Intelligence 100 points for two seconds on self, Fortify Luck 100 points for two seconds on self, and Fortify Alchemy 100 points for two seconds on self. This will cost 45 Magicka to cast. As soon as you cast the spell, go into your inventory and make the potions. Intelligence and Luck hold major rolls in the creation of potions (Luck/8 * Intelligence/.068 * Alchemy/.14 = potion power). Note: Some versions of the game do not contain the Fortify Skill spells due to Bethesda removing them in patches. It was also removed from the Gold Edition release of the game.

Better chance of enchanting

You must have Tribunal (or have access to a Fortify Skill spell) for this trick. Go to a Spellmaker, make a spell with: Fortify Intelligence 100 points for two seconds on self, Fortify Luck 100 points for two seconds on self, and Fortify Enchant 100 points for two seconds on self. This will cost 45 Magicka to cast. Once you cast the spell, go into your inventory and try making the item. It is not a guarantee, but it helps. Note: Some versions of the game do not contain the Fortify Skill spells due to Bethesda removing them in patches. It was also removed from the Gold Edition release of the game.

Always succeed at Taunt, Admire, or Intimidate

You must have Tribunal (or have access to a Fortify Skill spell) for this trick. Go to a Spellmaker, make a spell with: Fortify Personality 100 points for two seconds on self, Fortify Luck 100 points for two seconds on self, and Fortify Speechcraft 100 points for two seconds on self. This will cost 45 Magicka to cast. Once you cast it, immediately select the person to be taunted, admired, etc. Note: Some versions of the game do not contain the Fortify Skill spells due to Bethesda removing them in patches. It was also removed from the Gold Edition release of the game.

Profit with magic

You must have Tribunal (or have access to a Fortify Skill spell) for this trick. Go to a Spellmaker, make a spell with: Fortify Personality 100 points for two seconds on self, Fortify Luck 100 points for two seconds on self, and Fortify Mercantile 100 points for two seconds on self. This will cost 45 Magicka to cast. Once you cast it, immediately select the person that you are bartering with. By doing this you can buy, for example, a glass pauldron for 400 gold and once the spell wears off, sell it back for more. This makes having an NPC who would normally charge you 170,000 gold to enchant something do it for about 7,000 gold instead. Note: Some versions of the game do not contain the Fortify Skill spells due to Bethesda removing them in patches. It was also removed from the Gold Edition release of the game.

Buy and sell items in bulk

Barter with a merchant and select a renewable item that he or she has more than one of. Buy the maximum number, exit, then by the maximum again. Choose to barter again, but this time sell what you just bought from him or her back to the merchant. Exit, then choose to barter one more time. Notice that he or she now has quite a bit more of that particular item to sell. For example, if you bought 50 "Iron Throwing Knives," sold them back, and bartered again, he or she should have 100 "Iron Throwing Knives" for sale forever, plus whatever he or she gets from the renewal. From now on, each time you do this the merchant will retain X amount of items to sell, enabling you to buy in bulk, which allows you to sell in bulk. This will not work with all of the merchants; for example, the merchants set up outside in Sadrith Mora.
