Easy money
Xbox Get a bow. Go to any of the Mages
Guilds and teleport to Vivec. Go out of the Mages Guild there
and you will see a big round flower holder. Get in the center,
but make sure you have a good weapon or destruction spell. Wait
for the Ordinator to pass by and shoot him with the bow. He will
run towards you and ask for gold. Refuse and he will try to get
you, cannot get in the flower holder. Do not get too close, and
either chop him up or burn, shock, freeze, or poison him. You
can get his items and sell them to the Creeper in Caldera. The
mace is worth 12,000 gp and armor is worth 5,000 go. Go out and
rest. Return and sell an item worth 2,000 gp. Leave, rest, return,
and repeat. Choose to sell the mace, press L, buy back
the other armor you sold.
Go to Redoran, Vivec. Then go to the Redoran Plaza (located at
the top of the Redoran). In the center will be a building with
walls around it. Go in there. Go up the stairs and find the door
on the right. Open the door and stand in between it and the wall.
Close the door so you can see the dressers, and not the lady.
Look into the dressers and take the key. Then, go outside the
building and enter the Redoran treasury. Go to the lowest part
and unlock the sell door. Keep it open and wait about an hour
(game time). The guard will leave quickly. Shut the door and steal.
Then, go to the talking Mud Crab or Creepy in Caldera. Note: He
only has 5000 gp and the Mud Crab has 10,000 gp.
If you go to Foreign Quarter Plaza, get a bow, or have some quick
feet and attack a guard. Run to the Smiths House Ralen Tilvur.
You will notice that there is a very small crack which you can
manage to jump on. The guard will approach and try to get on.
You can hit him for a long time and usually kill him before he
manages to get up, and he cannot attack you. Sell what he has
to a smith or a trader. Make sure they have enough money to give
you for the items.
Go to the Foreign Quarter Plaza. Make sure you have a small bounty.
Enter the smith on the other side of the Mage's Guild. Talk to
the Ordinator and choose "Resist Arrest". Kill him and
take his armor. Sell the armor to the smith. who has 2500 gp.
Go down stairs, unlock the door, and sleep. Return and sell the
rest of the armor (sleep as many times as needed). When you have
sold all the armor and if the Ordinator is not back, go outside
then come back. He should have returned, so you can kill him and
take his armor to repeat the process.
If you are at level 7 or higher, go in the smith's store and kill
the smith. This will only put a 1000 gp bounty on your head. Then,
go back and kill the guard. He will drop a set of very good armor
which you can sell for about 20,000 to 30,000 gp. After getting
the money, pay off the guards. Then, go to a guild and train in
your major and minor attributes. Each time you raise one ten times
you gain a level.
Enter a shop with an Ordinator. Joshua's Rare Books is a good
place to try this. Make sure you have good armor and weapons.
Taunt the Ordinator into attacking you. Kill him. Dispose of the
body and go to the talking Mudcrab or Creeper. Stop at an armorer
and fix the armor. Sell the armor. Repeat this until you obtain
the desired amount of cash. Note: Do not wear the Ordinator armor.
If you are trying to get a lot of money and like searching for
things, join the Morog Tong (the Assassins guild) in Vivec. Go
into the arena then go to the canal work (second floor) . Next,
look for the arena storage room in the Waste Works. If you start
to swim in water, then you went too far down. Once in the storage
room, go to the door on the right. It has a lock level about 30
and is trapped; have a lock pick or a spell that lets you get
through it. There is a trap door in that room. Go down it to reach
the area where you can join. Look for a man in a bedroom with
a red robe on the top floor of the area.
Go to Kagohroun you will find a dead Redoran Guard. Take his armor,
then go to Vivec with it equipped. Talk to a Redoran Guard and
they will immediately start attacking you. Kill him and take his
equipment to sell to the Mudcrab. The guards will respawn when
you return (and will remember you and want to fight again). You
will get no bounty because they attacked you first.
Good armor
Immediately after you start out, you can ride the Silt
Stiders (travel bugs) to Vivec. Go to the Redoran Waistworks.
Go to the smith located there and enter the room in the back.
Close the door and you can take anything desired. He has good
armor, such as the Dreugh Curiass, a medium armor with a good
armor rating.
Go to Vivec. Then, go to Redoran part of Vivec. Go to the top
where there is a large door. It should be the Redoran Plaza. Find
the big house in that section. Enter and go to the top. It should
peak up to one room. There should be a woman in there. Get Mysticism
up to about 45, then Telekinesis. To the left is a dresser. Step
out of the door just enough so you can see the dresser, but are
in sneak mode and cannot see the girl. Use Telekinesis, look in
the dresser, and get the key. Go outside to the Redoran Plaza.
Go to the Redoran Treasury house. Go down the stairs in front
of you to the right, and open the Redoran Vault. Go to the very
bottom and use the key to open the vault. There should be a guard
inside. Leave the door open and wait about an hour (game time),
and he will leave. Close the door and start looting. There are
two level 90 small chests and four level 50 chests. One of the
crates contains glass armor and weapons. There is also some money
on the table in there.
If you want the best medium armor, go to Vivec. Walking around
the Cantons are Ordinators. They have Indoril armor. Its better
than Dreugh, Orcish, and Bonemold armor. Kill an Ordinator and
you can get all the armor, except for the greaves (you have to
find them). The cheapest piece of armor is 1400 Drakes, and they
carry Ebony Maces. Anything containing Ebony is expensive. The
Mace is worth 12,000 gp.
To get some good armor for beginners, go to Vivec. Talk to people
around town about the latest secrets and rumors. You will eventually
hear about seven murders in Vivec. After hearing that, go to the
Temple Canton and the Hall Of Justice door. Find the Office Of
The Watch and talk to the Captain. After doing that, go to the
Foreign Quarter Underworks and find an Orc that is standing around
there. Talk to him about the woman with a dagger and he will say
he saw someone down in the Underworks. After talking to him, walk
around some more and the lady will attack you. Kill her and report
back to the Office Of The Watch for a free Ordinator Cuirass and
Helm.
After starting the game, go to Vivec. Go to the temple and buy
a Rising Force potion. Walk under the big moon and donate the
potion. You should now be able to levitate. Fly around until you
find an Ordinator. Shoot him with your bow and arrow until he
dies. You will be able to take his armor without being touched.
Enter the arena section and go to arena training. Go up the stairs
to find a man with all the Ebony armor except for the helmet.
Kill him, the three Ordinators, and the clerk to get the Ebony
armor set.
Go to either the Redorian, Telivanni, or the Hlaalu canton in
Vivec and break in to their vaults. You will find lots of good
items, such as Ebony Armor, Glass Armor, Ebony weapons, Glass
weapons, Deadric weapons, gold, and much more. This is not recommended
until you are very far in the game -- probably not until the Ordinators
from the main mission turn against you so you will not get fined
for their death. There are two to five Ordinators in each vault.
Go to the Temple Canton in Vivec. Go to House Of Justice and look
for doors to "Ordinator Barracks". Look for unguarded
rooms and steal from the chests. The will have Inordil armor.
Not all piece of armor will be there, but if you have medium armor
as a major skill, they should protect you from 40 to 50.
To get Ebony Mail, do temple missions until you are a Diviner.
Then, go to Vivec temple. Go in to the left door of the high fane.
If you walk straight, you will reach a locked door. Drop all your
items and open the door with a spell or lockpick. You will find
someone inside. Do missions for him until he tells you to go to
Mt. Asuribibi and retrieve the Ebony Mail from the shrine located
there. The Ebony Mail is medium armor and it can resist fire 75%
and has 50 magic shield.
Go to Vivec Temple and enter Hall of Wisdom. Look around to find
a door leading to Justice Offices. One officer (the officer of
the watch) will ask if you will do some work for him. Ask him
about the work and he will tell you about some attacks and the
woman is suspected to have killed five outlanders and two Ordinators.
Tell him you will do the work and go to Vivec, Foreign Quarter.
Go down into Vivec, Foreign Quarter Underworks. Wander around
until you encounter a dark elf woman. When you kill her, return
to Vivec, Temple. Go back into the Hall of Wisdom and into the
Justice Offices. The officer who gave you the work will give you
the choice of either an Ordinator's helmet and cuirass or some
sort of magic armor. Chose the Ordinator's armor. Note: He will
tell you not to wear it while in Vivec.
Good weapons
The Daedric Longsword does quite a bit of damage, weighs
80 lbs, and is worth 80,000 gold. In Vivec, there is a treasury
in the Hiaalo building. Go downstairs a few times and there will
be a hall that goes straight, then left and right. Go left to
find a trapped door with a 45 lock. The spell does a lot of damage
if you do not disarm it. Pick the lock and get rid of the spell
if desired, then go inside. There may be a Storm Astronach. Get
the items, then walk back out the same door. This brings you to
a totally different room with gems and a lot of other good items.
Pick them up. You can leave and sell the items, or keep them.
To get the Daedric Warhammer (the best weapon in the game), go
to the St' Olms canton in Vivec. Go into the underworks and run
around until you see a bridge leading to a woman in steel armor
standing in front of a door. Talk to her, then wait and she will
attack you. If you have good armor and weapons, she is easy to
defeat. Save the game, then go inside the door. You will know
if you are in the correct location if there is a giant statue
in it. Kill everyone in there. Kill the man with the crossbow
first. After everyone is dead, take the jewles out of the bowl
in front of the statue and wait. A Dremora will attack. He usually
has the hammer. If he does not, load the game from your previous
save and try again. The Daedric Warhammer has a chop power of
1-96 and an extremely high durability. Note: This is not easy
to accomplish; do not attempt this if you are not skilled with
blunt weapons.
Full Master's Alchemy sets
In one of the main plazas of the northern sectors of
Vivec (Foreign sector, Hlaluu, etc.) is an alchemy shop. Look
in the barrels at the shop. There is a full set of Master Alchemy
equipment there. Sell what you want to him, then kill him. Go
outside and talk to a guard. He will charge you a petty amount
of gold. Go back into the shop and take all of his items. There
is well over 10,000 gold worth of items in there, and if you have
a high Alchemy skill, enough supplies to last you the rest of
the game. Note: If you steal items, drop them, then pick them
up after paying the fine, they will be marked as "stolen";
if you are caught for anything and pay the gold, all "stolen"
items will also be taken.
Magic flight
Xbox You can do this at any point in
the game and as many times as desired. Go to the Temple. Walk
up the stairs and buy a Rising Force potion for 4 to 5 gp from
the woman in the center. Any type of up rising potion will work.
Walk under the Ministry of Truth (the floating moon) then make
your way towards the shrine and donate the potion. If the potion
is of good quality you can levitate (fly) for three days, which
is long enough for you to go to Dragon Fel. While flying use the
Left Analog-stick to look around, use the Right Analog-stick
to move. Look down, then walk forward to move down and vice versa.
Note: You cannot fly while fully loaded and it does not fatigue
you.
Enter Hlaalu Vaults easily
You will need about 3,000 to 4,000 gold. Kill an Ordinator
anywhere in Vivec. Loot the armor, then make your way to the vaults.
Wear the helm and talk to the Ordinators. They will be mad because
your wearing the "sacred" armor and attack you. Kill
him. You will not get a bounty because they attacked you first.
Then, remove the armor and kill the girl and the baron. Take the
key and deed to Rethlen Manor and remove the armor. Unlock the
vault door and pay the fine. Then, wear the armor again and talk
to him. When he attacks, kill him. Take the key and open the door.
Talk to them while wearing the armor. They will attack as well.
Kill them and you are in the safe to loot the vault. Note: There
is a full set of Glass Armor with a Tower Shield. There are also
leveled weapons in some of the chests, as well as gems and about
2,000 gold.
Easy experience
In the Arena, go to the Holding Cells. There are two
Ordinators. One can be be killed and the other one is invincible.
If you are not at a high enough level to withstand two Ordinators
or even one, enable the "Change health level" code.
Then, start attacking with the kind of weapon you want to train
with. You will be gaining levels easily in both your skills and
main experience. Once your main level increases, find somewhere
to sleep. Note: You cannot sleep near guards because they are
hostile.
