Finding gems
Use the following trick if you are having problems finding the gems that are blended in with the background. Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use Microsoft Paint to edit the graphic file that corresponds to the object in the "\Totem Tribe\data\texture\game\item" directory. There are seven such files, with filenames such as "gem_green.png". Fill the white or black areas with another color. When the game is played the item will become more visible. In later levels you must search for crystals. To make them more visible, edit the graphics files in the "\Totem Tribe\data\texture\game\structure" directory.
Purple pyramids puzzle
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "level19.xml" file in the "\Totem Tribe\data\level\original" directory. Find the following lines that are spread out through the file:
cr_3: x="2272" y="1253" cr_4: x="1780" y="1675" cr_5: x="2369" y="2236"
Change the "x" and "y" values to:
cr_3: x="672" y="1553" cr_4: x="680" y="1375" cr_5: x="669" y="1136"
Then, find the lines that that start with the text "area name=" followed by the same "cr_" numbers. For example:
[area name="cr_3" radius="32" x="672" y="1553"/]
Change the "x" and "y" values of the "cr_3", "cr_4", and "cr_5" lines to match those changed in the first step. The five crystals should now form a rough "V" shape around the comet/totem crystal, and all of them will appear on the same screen. It should now be possible to click them all within the allotted time.
Note: Continue searching the level19.xml file for the following entry.
[area name="cr_3" radius="32" x="2272" y="1253" /]
You can change these to match the new x, y values changed in the "Purple Pyramids puzzle" in order to move effects, etc.
Recharge magic spells
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "building" file in the "\Program Files\Totem Tribe\data\cfg" directory. Find the phrase "temple" in the file. A few lines below that are some lines that begin with "ability" (for example, "[ability type="charge"]Purification [/ability]". This line allows the building to charge the Purification spell. Copy all of the desired ability lines (six in total). Find the line"[ability type="spawn"] Worker[/ability]". Paste all the ability lines, making sure the symbol "<" is equal with the line above. Make sure there are no empty lines and all "<" symbols are equal. Your hut now has the ability to charge any spell desired. Note: Each hut can only charge one spell at a time, then it will not charge any more until you use that spell.
Disable fog of war
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "gamevisual.cfg" file in the "\Program Files\Totem Tribe\datacfg" directory. Scroll down to the "fow colors" section. Change the values of "dense" to:
00FFFFFF 00FFFFFF
Note: The fog of war is still used on the mini-map, and you still have to expand by building. However this trick will show you the entire screen so you know where to go.
Build anywhere
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "gamelogic.cfg" file in the "\Program Files\Totem Tribe\datacfg" directory. Change the "0.1" value to "0.0". Note: Builders will sometimes get stuck. This can be fixed by destroying the building or by building something close enough so they get unstuck then you can cancel the construction. Do not block pathways to avoid traffic jams. Building somewhere out of reach will require the extra time to auto complete itself.

Comet
Put fighters in between the buildings or they will be easily destroyed. Fill the other space with fighters, healers, and enough builders to be able to repair quickly all the time. Put a few towers in areas you do not see many troops. Do not keep your army clumped at a flag. The whole area should be filled with fighters to provide enough protection to get minimal damage when you are being attacked frequently. Once build your army, get the combat spell ready. Get them together in the area just before the Boss. Next, move to the flag to attack then cast your spell when they begin fighting (so you do not lose spell time). Quickly make another one and use it. Cancel your fighting flag when you start to lose most of your men (usually while making the second spell), so that regenerated troops remain to protect buildings. Let the rest of them die out fighting. After you have repaired all your buildings and army, repeat the steps until the Boss has been defeated.
Secret pirate island
On island worship, there are four areas which are pink sparkles. You must put a unit on every circle. For example put scouts at the southwest, warriors at the southeast, send the workers to build a tower at the northwest, then take one of the workers and put it on the circle at northeast.

Aruku and Goru
If Aruku or Goru are killed you will have to restart the game. To keep them safe, click on them and drag them to safety.
Scouts
Scouts are the best unit to send out to explore. They are faster and have special abilities. This allows you to keep your army near to defend the village.
Completing tasks faster
While workers only fulfill one task at a time, training more workers quickly will get the tasks completed much faster.
Opening chests
To open up a chest, navigate a hunter to the chest.
