Easy money

Sell any improved items that you made and do not want to the trader in the blue house at Riverside for some easy money. Iron lamps and other metal objects sell well.

Try getting a job from other people, such as mining, woodcutting, fencemaking, etc. Note: To work quickly, be sure to raise the skill you will be using for jobs first.

Killing animals

Try to get animals to follow you. Stay far enough away so it cannot hurt you. While they are following, go to a deeded area (a village) and let the spirit guards kill it. This works well with bears. Note: Try to stay on roads while doing this.
