Cheat Codes

Cheat mode

Created by ItsGH.

Enter the "Options" menu. Select "Cheats", then "Enter New Cheat". Then, enter one of the following codes to unlock the corresponding cheat option. Note: Each note or chord must be strummed during code entry. Press Green at the "Cheats" menu to turn off a particular cheat.

Unlock All

Press Red + Yellow, [Green + Red] two times, [Red + Yellow] two times, Green + Red, [Red + Yellow] two times, [Green + Red] two times, [Red + Yellow] two times, Green + Red, Red + Yellow, Red + Blue. This code unlocks all songs except for "Pandora's Box" and cannot be toggled off.

Air Guitar

Press Red + Yellow, Green + Red, [Red + Yellow] two times, [Red + Blue] five times, Yellow + Blue] two times, Yellow + Orange.

Performance Mode

Press [Green + Red] two times, Red + Orange, Red + Blue, [Green + Red] two times, Red + Orange, Red + Blue.

Precision Mode

Press Red + Yellow, [Red + Blue] two times, [Red + Yellow] two times, [Yellow + Blue] three times, Red + Blue, Red + Yellow, [Red + Blue] two times, [Red + Yellow] two times, [Yellow + Blue] three times, Red + Blue.

Hyperspeed

Press [Yellow + Orange] five times, [Red + Yellow] four times, [Red + Blue] five times, Yellow + Blue, [Yellow + Orange] two times.
hcoa

No Fail

Press Green + Red, Blue, Green + Red, Green + Yellow, Blue, Green + Yellow, Red + Yellow, Orange, Red + Yellow, Green + Yellow, Yellow, Green + Yellow, Green + Red.

Unlockables

Songs

Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding song. To access them, press Blue at the main setlist to bring up "The Vault" track list.

"Kings and Queens" by Aerosmith: Complete Career mode.
"Joe Perry Guitar Battle" by Joe Perry: Complete "Guitar Battle vs. Joe Perry" after the sixth tier warm-up acts

Guitars

Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding guitar for purchase at The Vault.

Doubleneck: Get a "5 Star" rank on all songs, except the bonus song, under the Hard difficulty.
Get A Grip: Complete Career mode under the Hard difficulty.
Joe Perry's Doubleneck: Get a "5 Star" rank on all songs, except the bonus song, under the Expert difficulty.
Nine Lives (Daredevil): Complete Career mode under the Easy difficulty.
Permanent Vacation: Complete the game under the Medium difficulty.
Rock In A Hard Place (Zeitgeist): Get a "5 Star" rank on all songs, except the bonus song, under the Medium difficulty.
Toys In The Attic (Rocking Horse): Get a "5 Star" rank on all songs, except the bonus song, under the Easy difficulty.
Walk This Way: Complete Career mode under the Expert difficulty.

Characters

Complete the indicated task in Career mode to unlock the corresponding character for purchase at the vault.

DMC: Complete all of the songs in the fourth tier list to unlock him for purchase for $15,000.
Joe Perry: Complete "Guitar Battle vs. Joe Perry" after the sixth tier warm-up acts to unlock him for purchase for $15,000.

Hints

Keeping high ticket items

Once you buy something from the Vault (the store), it is yours no matter what. This holds true if you make a new band or even delete and start again. This a great way to buy high ticket items.

Achievements

Complete the following achievements to unlock Xbox Live Gamerscore points.

Get Your Wings (10 points): Complete the Tutorial.
Make It (20 points): Complete the Career on Easy.
Movin' Out (30 points): Complete the Career on Medium.
Rock in a Hard Place (50 points): Complete the Career on Hard.
Dream On (75 points): Complete the Career on Expert.
Aerosmith (15 points): Unlock Aerosmith as the playable band.
Jailbait (5 points): Play a song at the Nipmuc venue.
Cheesecake (10 points): Earn a 100 note streak in Career or Quick Play (Local only).
Crazy (20 points): Earn a 500 note streak in Career or Quick Play (Local Only).
No More, No More (10 points): Perform all the Encores.
Kings and Queens (20 points): Purchase all the playable characters from The Vault.
Big Ten Inch Record (20 points): Purchase all the bonus songs.
Toys in the Attic (20 points): Purchase all guitars from The Vault (Bass/Lead/Rhythm).
Same Old Song and Dance (50 points): Complete every song in the setlist and the Vault (Local only).
Score Hero (30 points): Score "325,000" or more on the song "Train Kept a Rollin'".
Get it Up (30 points): Score 2,000,000 in the Career.
Eat the Rich (30 points): Earn $50,000 in career earnings.
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (30 points): Earn a gold star rating on a song on Medium or harder difficulty (Local only).
Gems (25 points): Hit every star power phrase on a song (Local or Xbox LIVE).
Sick as a Dog (25 points): Earn a 5 star rating for a song on Medium or harder (Local or Xbox LIVE).
Ain't That a B***h (20 points): Earn a gold star rating on a song (Local only).
Big Ones (15 points): Earn a 300 note streak in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE).
Cryin' (25 points): Earn a 600 note streak in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE).
Combination (5 points): Earn an 8x multiplier in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE).
Let the Music Do the Talking (40 points): Earn a gold star rating on a Co-op song (Local or Xbox LIVE).
When I Needed You (15 points): Activate Star Power 3 times in a song in a Co-op match (Local or Xbox LIVE).
What it Takes (35 points): Play 20 online ranked matches of any game type.
Deuces Are Wild (40 points): Complete all songs on the setlist as the lead guitarist (Local or Xbox LIVE, primary user).
My Fist Your Face (20 points): Win an online ranked Pro Face-Off match.
Don't Get Mad, Get Even (20 points): Win an online ranked Face-Off match.
Walkin' the Dog (20 points): Win an online ranked Pro-Face Off match by 10,000 or more points.
Soul Saver (20 points): Win a ranked online Battle Mode match with a Death Drain attack.
Love Me Two Times (40 points): Complete all songs on the setlist as the Bass/Rhythm guitarist (Local or Xbox LIVE, primary user).

Additionally there are sixteen secret achievements.

Subway (10 points): Played a song at the Max's Kansas City venue.
On The Road Again (10 points): You unlocked the Orpheum Theater of Boston venue.
Nine Lives (10 points): You unlocked the Moscow venue.
Critical Mass (15 points): You unlocked the Half-Time Show venue.
March 19, 2001 (20 points): You unlocked the Hall of Fame venue.
Woman Of The World (10 points): You played a song with a female guitarist.
Draw The Line (5 points): You turned down an encore.
Spaced (10 points): You completed a song earning Star Power, but never used it.
Dude Looks Like A Lady (10 points): Played a song as Izzy Sparks.
Walk This Way (10 points): You purchased DMC from The Vault.
Night In The Ruts (10 points): Bummer, you failed a song 10 times.
Fallen Angels (15 points): Keep trying, you failed a Co-op song beyond 95% completion.
Nobody's Fault (5 points): You failed 5 Co-op songs. Don't give up!
You See Me Crying (5 points): You lost an online ranked Pro Face-Off match.
Falling Off (5 points): You lost an online ranked Face-Off match.
Back In The Saddle (10 points): You rocked out as Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford in a Co-op Match.
