Defeating X-ATM092 (The Spider Bot)

On Disc 1 during the Dollet mission, you will fight Wedge, Biggs, and an Elvoret. After these battles you will have thirty minutes to get to the beach to leave Dollet. Upon the withdrawal of the Communications Tower, an X-ATM092 will drop from above, starting a sudden battle. Using the GF Quezacotl with Boost should put it down for you to run. Run down the path to discover that it is still alive. Continue running away to the next screen then run to the left without the "Spider" jumping on you. On the next screen, notice that nothing is chasing you. Walk by pressing Triangle across the broken path until the next screen to avoid an encounter with the "Spider". Continue to run to the bridge. When on the bridge, let the "Spider" attack you. Using Thunder based attacks, make the "Spider" fall to its knees. Do not run, even though the "Spider" is down. Continue to attack it although it repairs itself. Repairing itself only enables it to attack, and not gain HP. After many falls you should notice that the "Spider" falls more easily. Eventually (with three to ten minutes remaining depending on strength), the "Spider" will explode, allowing you to run to the vessel only having Galbadian soldiers to worry about. Note: The "Spider" will give you a Power Wrist, 30 AP, and a higher SeeD ranking. However it gives no experience points.

Defeating Bahamut

Note: You must have Ragnarok for this. Fly to the bottom left corner. There will be a landing pad. Land on it. Walk in and you will fight Bahamut. Note: Use this on strongest person (usually Squall). Have fire attacks heal you. Have Drain as your Attack, and Blizzara as your Status Attack. Have your strongest characters with you.

Defeating Diablos

Early in the game, just before you get Zell and go to the second exam after Ifrit, when playing only as Squall, go to the training center. You will level up quickly. Defeating Diablos later will be easy. The exam will also be easier.

Have all your party members draw Demi from him, stock it, then cast it on him on their next turn. Every time you do so, he will counter with Curaga thus curing them on each turn.

Defeating Edea

Use the following trick to defeat Edea in Disc 2 with just one Limit Break. Equip Squall's Strength with 100 Thundaga. Have GF Ifrits Str+40% and Str Bonus equipped to his abilities. Get to about level 30. Then, cast Haste and Aura on Squall and let him use his Limit Break. It should do around 1,100 damage per hit, which is enough to kill Edea. Note: Also try to have Squall's Cutting Trigger.

Defeating Ultimecia and Griever

Collect about 50 Auras, Squall's Lion Heart gunblade, and Bahamut's card (obtained when Bahamut is defeated). Before the battle use the card mod ability on the Bahamut card to get 100 Mega Elixers. When enter into the first of the four battles, three characters are chosen at random -- your three main characters will not always start out. When you start the battle, if any of your three main characters are with you, just keep them alive and let the others die and be taken into time compression. You will eventually get all three of your main characters -- this is when the battle starts. Start the battle by having one character use Aura on Squall so he can get his Limit Break easily. Have the third character use a Mega Elixer every turn and have Squall use his Limit Break every turn. When Aura runs out, just cast it again. Have the character who has Aura also use Doomtrain to try to lower any of the Boss' defense. Keep this up and the four battles will be over before you know it.

Selphie's limit break The End will work on every boss except Final Altemisia. Put her in your party and have her limit break usable. Keep switching magic until you can use The End and it will work on all of them. Selphie must be at level 100.

Use Eden and Aura (all limit breaks are strong) for defeating Omega Weapon. Use Aura on Selphie and then a Holy War. Have her use her limit break and cast The End one or more times. Then once you get it, use it. It will automatically kill any one.

When you are facing Ultimicia's true form, she will eventually draw from her lower body. From then on, you may draw Apocalypse from that body yourself. Just cast it and chip away about 7000 HP damage to her.

Prepare for the battle with Ultimicia by using your GF abilities to your own advantage. Card mod Bahamut for 100 megalixers, which heal your party and restore everything,. Have a healthy supply of Aura and Meltdown. It helps to have many of revive items. This is the last battle, so you can un-junction GFs so only one person has it -- they are only useful in her first form. Whenever they even get hit about medium damage, 1000 to 4000 HP, use a Megalixer. It helps to have a few good Heros. If you do not, you still have a chance if you have a Gilgamesh card (refines to 10 Holy Wars which gives your entire party invincibility for a long time). You cannot lose unless something goes terribly wrong, such as if she casts Hell's Judgment followed by Great Attractor.

You need the Gilgamesh card. Card Mod it for 10 Holy Wars. Having Squall at level100, Zell at level 100, and Selphie at level 100 is recommended. Make sure each member has 100 Auras and 10 Triples, as well as all the limits and Ultimate Weapons. Fight her and use the basic strategy for her first form. For Griever and her other forms, use the following strategy. First, use Squall and cast Triple on Selphia. For the second step, with Selphia cast Aura on all your of characters. For the third step, with Zell use a Holy War. Do it in that order. Every time your Aura and Holy War end, repeat the second and third steps.

Since the party is selected by the CPU during the last battle against Ultimecia, it is necessary to divide the GF to every character to make sure they survive. Of course, they must have the best magic junctioned to keep their status high. Therefore 600 Ultimas and other best magic are to be drawn. There is no way to make sure all the character have all the status junctioned. Less Junctioning Ability Medicine is required if the GF are divided correctly. The following is such a recommendation.

Character 1: Diablos, Doomtrain, Cactuar
Character 2: Quezacolt, Eden, Cerberus
Character 3: Brothers, Siren
Character 4: Shiva, Pandemona, Tonberry
Character 5: Carbuncle, Alexander, Bahamut
Character 6: Ifrit, Leviathan

Using the above division, less medicine can be used to make sure every character has most of the junctioning abilities. Buy the "Scrolls" to make them learn the remaining abilities. "Spd-J Scroll" can be obtained from 2 Hundred Needles, each modified by 100 Cactus Thorn, then modify the 2 Hundred Needles to 2 Spd-Up. Then use the 2 Spd-Up to modify into a Spd-J Scroll.

When fighting Ultimecia make sure you get all of your abilities. Get limit breaks first. Have Selphie, Zell, and Squall in your party with their ultimate weapons and strength over 200. Have Zell and Squall attack first, then let Selphie heal with Full-Cure. Note: You have to be close to level 100.

To kill Ultimecia's fourth form instantly, make sure that Rinoa knows Angelo Cannon. Use Squall's Lion Heart after using Irvine's Armor Shot, then use Rinoa's Angelo Cannon. When it is Rinoa's turn again, use Angel Wing and Ultimecia will die instantly. Note: This only works on the fourth form.

Use the following trick to win the final battle with no Heroes or Holy War. Make sure that you have already modified the Bahamat card for 100 Megaelixers. Make good use of the GFs; assign them evenly throughout your players. Make sure every one of them has both Elem-Atk/Def and ST-Atk/Def. You also must make sure that you junction very good magic to all the players. Keep in mind that Ultemecia chooses who should go first, and it would be bad if she picked all your weak characters. Junction 100 Meltdown to Vit, 100 Meteor or Ultima to Str, and the rest is up to you. Just make sure they are at the highest that they can be. If you are lucky enough that she selects Qusitis, Zell and Irvine, follow this technique. The first Ultimecia's form is very fast, but does not really do much of damaging attacks. Cast Aura on Quistis, and then cast her Blue Magic Mighty Guard. Then, continue to cast Aura on all the other characters. If your Vitality was really high, her damaging attacks will practically be harmless, especially if you junctioned good magic to Elm and St-Def, like Holy and Esuna. When all your characters are at their Limit, keep casting Duel from Zell, Gaulting Gun from Quistis, and some Fast Ammo from Irvine. Also, keep your ammo at 100, just in case. She and Griever will be easy. Continue what you did on her, then do it on him. When they fuse together, they have bad attacks. Use Mega Elixir on all your characters. Keep casting Aura, with your Limits. Do not use Fast Ammo with Irvine. Use Demolition Ammo, as it does 9,999 damage with every hit. It is very slow, but if you are fast enough, you can fit in eight shots for 80,000 damage. Two Limits from Irvine and they are dead. Ultimecia will now pull her true form on you. She has a great attack that drops you to 1 HP. Use some Mega Elixir and keep shooting at her with Demolition ammo. She will be defeated in no time.

Defeating Mobile Type 8

When fighting Mobile Type 8 in Lunatic Pandora, use GF Diablos to get a 9999 HP hit on the machine's body.

You need Squall, Zell, and one other person in your party. Cast Aura on Zell or wait until Zell is in critical condition. Then use Zell's Meteor Strike limit break on Mobile Type 8. It will do 9,999 damage the first time. The second and third time Zell does this, it will not do as much damage, but it will still do about 4,000 to 5,000. Keep repeating this and the battle should be easy. Also, if Zell dies during the battle, cast Life on him. This way, Zell will still be in critical condition and you can continue using Meteor Strike.

Defeating Red Giant in Ultimecia's castle

Gain Diablos and increase his level to at least 49.While in battle, summon Diablos. It will deliver 9,999 points of damage and he will say "Diablos! Defeat is imminent!". Summoning Diablos three or four times should end the battle.

Defeating Sphinxaur/Sphinxara

This is the easiest of Ultimecia's servants, and should be your first target. You can see Sphinxaur from just inside the front door. It resides at the top of the stairs in the Front Foyer. Ascend the stairs and approach Sphinxaur to enter combat. At this point you should only be able to use the attack command. This boss has low HP, is slow, and has attacks that are weaker then you might expect. It can summon creatures to assist it, but they are typically weak, such as Jelleyes. Additionally, this Boss likes to use Ice magic, so you may want to junction Blizzaga to each party member's Elem-Def.

Defeating Scorpion at first Mako reactor

To defeat this scorpion-like Boss, have Cloud use nothing but Ice magic and his Braver limit break. Have Barret use his normal attack until he gets his Big Shot limit break. Note: If Cloud dies during this fight, you will most likely lose.

Defeating Adel

You only need the GF Cactuar and his Kamikaze ability. Note: Do the same thing to the sorceresses.

When battling Adel, do not use any offensive GFs because they will harm Rinoa. The game will end if you kill her. Whenever Adel drains Rinoa's HP, feed Rinoa some kind of healing spell (Cure, Curaga, etc.). At the start of the fight, cast Regen on Rinoa, then cast Protect and summon Cerbus on the entire party. However, do not cast Shell on Rinoa, since it will make the Cure spells less effective. Adel has an attack called Energy Bomber that zeros in on a single party member. Be ready to heal the person that was hit with a Curaga or Full-Life if killed. Hit Adel with Flare in triple and it will do massive damage. Also be ready to heal your party after Adel casts Ultima and Meteor. Keep up the heat and you should win. Be sure to use GFs that know Boost.

Have Zell, Squall, and one other member in your group. Have Zell use magic, squall fight, and the other person Draw spells. Start by casting Regen on Rinoa, followed by a Meltdown aimed at Adel. If you have Auto-Haste, junction it to Zell. After meltdown, have Zell cast Aura on Squall to enable him to use his limit break. if you have the Lion Heart, keep using it until you get Blasting Zone and Lion Heart. Make sure that you always target Adel. Also make sure everyone has their best weapons. Have the third person in your group Draw as many spells from Adel as you can hold or until you kill her. Adel takes Rinoa's HP, so give her a Curaga, but do not cast Shell on her. Squall and Zell should be at or close to level 100, and Rinoa should be at level 70 or higher. For the character using Draw, junction Auto-Potion to them and it will not matter what level they are at (Quistis and her Save The Queen weapon is recommended).

At the beginning of the battle she will cast Meteor and do massive damage to your entire party. Have someone summon Cerberus to cast Double and Triple on your party. Have your weakest character heal, while the other two attack or cast Triple Meltdown on Adel. After healing your party, cast Shell on Riona. When Adel sucks energy from Riona it will not be a threat. Do not cast spells such as Meteor or Ultima because they will also hit Riona. Also, dnot cast Holy on her as it will heal Adel. Summoning in this battle will not help because the risk of also hitting Riona. Instead, use physical attacks. When Squall gets his Limit, use it. It does massive damage (hope for Blasting Zone). Although it will do 9999 damage on both Adel and Riona, the game only cares that you killed Adel

Note: A party consisting of Irvine, Zell, and Squall is preferred. Have at least 40 AP ammo for Irvine (at level 65) and someone with at least 20 Auras and 10 Regen. Cast Aura on Irvine. You have an automatic aiming ability with him. Choose Adel under the attack menu and use the AP ammunition. If you do not any, then choose the Pulse ammunition. Then, cast Regen on everybody (including Rinoa) . Repeat this pattern until she has been defeated.

The following items are requires for this trick: at least 15 Auras, Cerberus, 50 Curagas, 10 Meltdowns, and 1 Holy War. Make sure you have all of your magic junctioned to defenee, and one person with Item Junction. When you first start the battle, have someone with the Draw command draw from Rinoa. Cast Regen on her and use Holy War. Then, have whoever has Cerberus summon him and whoever has Meltdown cast it on Adel. Next, have the person with the Auras cast it on the two people that do not have the Curagas. Keep repeating the following: Special with the two people with Aura on them and the person with the Curagas should have Triple on them; and keep casting Curaga on your party.

Have Squall, Irvine, and someone who knows Recover. Try to have your characters at full strength and maximum HP. Have Squall cast Aura on Irvine. Then, attack her a few times with Squall. When Irvine can use his Limit Break, use the Fire Shot. Then, heal Rinoa's health. Keep doing this until she has been defeated.
slfoloh

When you have to save Rinoa on Disc 4 when she is auctioned by Adel, use a Meltdown on Adel to reduce her physical defense to zero. Then, use Irvine's Limit Break with at least four Pulse Shots for five Hyper Shots. Adel should then go down easy.

Defeating Omega Weapon

Have Irvine, Squall, and either Rinoa or Zell in your party. Before battle, card mod the Gilgamesh card and get Holy Wars. Have Death junctioned to everyone's Status Defense and make sure they have at 9999 HP. Junction the Auto-haste ability to someone. First, have Zell/Rinoa cast Triple on Irvine. Wait until Omega does his Meteor spell, then quickly do a Triple Curaga for everyone. Soon afterwards, Omega Weapon will use a special attack that does 9998 damage to everyone, which will put everyone in your party at 1 HP. Use the Holy War. Use limit breaks with each person except for Rinoa. Rinoa should summon Eden repeatedly, unless she has only the Wishing Star limit break. Watch the person with Auto-haste very carefully. He will be the first person who comes out of Holy War, and serves as an early warning. Use another Holy War when one wears out.

Use Tifa's The End. If you hit the slots just right, it will show Omega Weapon sitting in a field of pretty flowers. He does not look like a threat anymore.

Defeating Ultima Weapon

Remember to draw 100 Ultima from Ultima Weapon when fighting him. Also, Mug him to get the Three Stars.

Get Squall's strength to be 255 (junction 100 Ultima magic), speed above 100 (junction 100 Triple magic), and he must have the Lionheart. The HP of your party should be 9999. Have Alexander's Revive (optional) and Leviathan's Recovery equipped. At the start of the battle, have Quistis cast Meltdown on Ultima Weapon. Have the other character cast Aura on Squall. Use Squall's Renzokuken and if you trigger exactly (press R1 immediately as you see Trigger) doing his Lion Heart, you will finish the battle in three turns.

Junction 100 Meteor to your Mag, 100 Meltdown to your Vit, 100 Triple to your Str. Junction Str+60%, Mag+60% and Vit+60% ability. Junction 100 Pain to Squall's Luck. This should make the Str of each character to rise above 230. Have Squall's weapon modified to Lionheart. You should have no problem fighting Ultima Weapon if If your level is low. Cast Doomtrain and use Aura for each character at the at the beginning of the battle. Use your Limit Breaks as soon as possible. If Squall's Lionheart is activated, one time is enough to kill him.

Get Squall's final weapon, Lion Heart. Place all your strongest members in your party. For example, Squall, Selphie and Zell. On Selphie's battle abilities, have Attack, Draw, G.F., and Item. On Zell, have Attack, Magic, G.F., and Item. On Squall, have Mug, G.F., Magic, and Draw. In your item inventory, have Mega Phoenix, Hero, and Aura Stone. In your magic inventory have Auras. Junction 100 Ultima magic to your attack. At the start of the battle have Squall steal three Stars. Then, have Selphie draw Eden, the best G.F. Have Zell put Hero on Squall to make him invincible. Hold Squal'ls attack by press Circle. Then, have Selphie put Aura or Aura Stone on Squall. Cast Melt Down on Ultimate Weapon so it does not have any vitality. Keep on doing Renzokuken on Ultimate Weapon and it will hit about 8000 or 9000 each time if done correctly. If you do Lion Heart twice on it, it will be defeated. Do not bother reviving Zell or Selphie if they die in the process, because you will still get any experience and your G.F.s still get AP. After the battle you have the strongest G.F. in the game, and 100 Ultima Stones.

Have Squall, Quistis, and Zell at level 35 or more and 9999 HP. Give Zell the Revive ability and make sure he has Initiative junctioned to his ability and at least 1 Meltdown. Give Quistis the Kamikaze and Item abilty. Draw Eden before doing anything else. Make sure Squall has the Auto-Haste ability junctioned. When the battle begins Zell, will have his turn first. Cast Meltdown on Ultima Weapon. Next, let Ultima Weapon knock Squall's HP low enough to trigger his Limit Break. As soon as you are able to, let Squall use his Limit Break. This will give you time for Quistis to use a Hero on Squall. Then, cast Bahamut on Ultima Weapon. This should given enough time for Zell and Quistis to recharge. Switch characters until you get to Quistis and use the Kamikaze ability. Finally, hit Ultima Weapon with Squall's Limit Break one more time and the battle will be over.

Remember to use the Move/Find ability to find the final save point beside Ultima weapon. Have Selphie in your party and at least one Hero. When Selphie is ready to use her Limit Break, use a Hero on her to make her invincible. Keep looking through her list of Limit Breaks until you find a spell called "The End". Cast this to defeat Ultima weapon. Do not forget to draw Eden from it first.

Use Squall, Zell, and Rinoa. Have Squall at least at level 61, Zell at least level 55, and Rinoa at least level 45. Have Squall equipped with Draw, Item, Revive, Str+40 and 60 (which brings his strength to a total of 255), Spd+40, and Initiative. Make sure his Str is 255 (Triple x100), and his Spd is 100+ (Haste x100). Also have his elemental defense absorbing by 50%. To do this, make sure you have 60+ Ultimas, 100 Full-Lifes, 100 Shells, and 100 Lifes. Have Zell equipped with Draw, Item, Recover, Vit+40, Spd+20, and Alert (optional). Make sure his HP is over 6,000 and Vit over 100. Have Rinoa equipped with Item, Draw, Darkside, HP+ 80, Counter, and Vit +40. Make sure her HP is over 6,000 (with HP+80, it should bump it up to 9,999), and Vit is 100+. Have Squall's Flame Saber. The Lionheart is not required. Before the fight, make sure that Squall is in the yellow. When the battle starts, have Squall do Renzozuken immediately. If Ultima Weapon kills Squall, have Rinoa use a Phoenix Down on him. Then, have Zell draw Eden. Have Squall do another Renzozuken, followed by Rinoa skipping her turn, and Zell using Restore on himself if needed. If Ultima Weapon uses Quake, Squall will be healed over 1,000 HP. On Squall's turn, use the Renzozuken again and Ultima Weapon should be defeated.

Reach Ultima Weapon without any encounters

After defeating Bahamut and talking to everyone in the Ragnarok, go back in and go down the vine. Make sure to have Enc None equipped. Use 4 units to go down to the next level. Examine the computer on the next floor, and use 2 units of power to open the hatch. Proceed down. The next screen will have two doors, controlled by two computers. Examine the computer on the left (just under the stairs) to use 4 units to enter the steam room to the left. Check the machinery in the steam room to replenish your supply by 7 (do not miss the Esuna DP located here). Go back out and use 1 unit on each of the next three levels, and 4 units to open the door to the Deep Sea Deposit (do not let Zell try to fix it). Follow the path all the way to the bottom, use Siren's Move-Find to see the Triple and Ultima draw points on the way down, as well as the Save point at the very bottom just before the fight. Use the remaining 10 units to resume the excavation and initiate the battle with Ultima Weapon.

Defeating Blue Dragons

Go to the Islands Closest To Hell (north of Dollet) and find a Blue Dragon. Draw Death from the Dragon and keep casting it on the Dragon until it is defeated. Alternately, use Stop magic on it and draw 100 Deaths. Then, put it on everyone's Status Attack to kill the Dragon quicker. This will result in a lot of experience, Dragon Fangs, and Fury Fragments.

Defeating the Ruby Dragon

First, use Cerebrus then draw some Meteors from him with someone who has got magic (Rinoa or Selphie suggested). Then, cast it with your own magic (which will do more damage). Then, use Diablos or Demi which will do 9999 damage. Repeat this until it is defeated. To defeat Ruby Dragon when you are Laguna, cast Cerburus and draw a few Firas to stock up. Use Diablos and Shiva and repeat.

When fighting the Ruby Dragon, Demi is very good at first. It does 9999 damage, then goes down slowly.

Defeating Tonberrys

  • Use Diablos to do 9999 HP damage on Tonberrys. Use Dark Messenger three times.
  • Note: This can be done easily as soon as Balamb Garden is mobile. This trick requires 100 Demi, Str-J, Ammo-RF, Str+20%, and Str+40%. Junction Ifrit to Irvine and make sure Ifrit knows the above abilities. Give Irvine the Str abilities and junction 100 Demi to his attack. Then, using Ammo-RF, refine Chef's Knives into 20 AP ammo each. If you have Card Mod, Tonberry/Tonberry King cards refine into these. If not, you will get plenty of them. Leave Irvine's health in the yellow when you have the AP ammo and fire away. Two to three shots will take down a Tonberry, and is much faster than using Diablos. Also, five to seven shots will take down Tonberry King.

Defeating T-Rexaur

Use Blind or Junction 100 Blind to Status Attack, Zombie or 100 Zombie to Status Attack, and Life. This combo is very effective.

Defeating the fake President

When you are about to fight the fake President on the train, after a few shots it will seem like he is dying. Beams will shoot up from the ground, and a big zombie will appear. Instead of fighting it, use a Phoenix Down on it. Not fighting the impostor and using the Phoenix Down will result in you getting no experience, gil, or AP. The only thing that you will get is something called Zombie Powder.

Defeating Cactaur

Junction 100 Water to Squall's weapon and to everyone else, Junction Spd +20%, Spd+40%, etc.
deborahjbraus.

Defeating Behemoth

Behemoths can be found in Ultima Weapon's cave (Warship Island) in a room with a structure similar to a fountain and a Magic Stone on the north-east corner. If you have a character with a junction Status attack, get 100 Pain magic and simply attack him to cause all three status ailments in a row. Sometimes you need to attack him more than twice, but it is worth it. Poison will deal out a lot of damage, Blind makes his physical attack useless, and Silence prevent his Bad Habit to cast Meteor each time you attack. Next, if he is at low levels, level up him with Tonberyy's Level Up ability and store as much Meteor and Flare as needed. If you are lucky and have Bahamut's Rare Items ability, you may get Sparkling Energy from him at the end of the battle. Using Steal, you can get Barrier System.

Defeating Diablos

The moment Cid gives you the Magical Lamp, use it. Laguna, Kiros and Ward are weaker than Squall, Zell and Selphie; and Laguna's limit break is no match for Squall's. Make sure you have stocked up on Blinds (100 of them recommended). Failing that, stocked Doubles will aid you in more efficient curing for those with low HP. If Squall or Zell are low on HP, let them unleash at least one Limit Break before deciding to cure. The amount of Demis to be drawn will be considerably low. Wait for a characters HP to be lowered before using the Demi on Diablos, as the Curaga is put to better use this way. When choosing offensive magic aside from Demi, opt for Double Blizzards.

Defeating Elnoyle

To fight Elnoyle easily without running about, just go to Esthar and find the man who is about to commit suicide. He is located approximately five screens from the Esthar Presidential Palace. Talk to the man, he will laugh and reveal that he is not a man, but an Elnoyle. After defeating him, walk off the screen and return and he will be there again.
slfoloh

During Disc 4, take the Ragnarok and press Select until the large map appears. Select Esther/Airstation as your destination. Once you get there, press X when you are above a circular platform. You will find yourself in Esther again. Go down when your characters are mobile again. When you reach a fork in the road, go down and keep heading in that direction until you encounter across one of those mobile platforms that take you to other places. You should see flashing arrows on the ground above the platform. Go in that direction. You are now in the area of Elnoyle. Go down the steps, and there should be a brownish-colored freak on the edge of the walkway. He will laugh at you once you talk to him then you will immediately enter a battle. This trick is useful for getting the Energy Crystals for Irvine's Pulse Ammo, or refining them into the forbidden magic called "Ultima". This magic can raise your stats to the fullest if you have 100 of them. Once you defeat Elnoyle, go to your right. When you leave that area, go back. The same freak should be there. You can repeat as many times as desired. For better results, if you have the Bahamut GF, junction the "Rare Item" party ability to get two or three Energy Crystals. Note: Do not Mug Elnoyle or you will not get the Energy Crystals.

Defeating Gerogero

Have Item ability for at least one character. After defeating the Fake President (preferably through Single or Double Thunders), he will fall to the floor. From him will emerge his possessor, Gerogero. Immediately use a Phoenix Down on Gerogero to kill him. Note: To achieve this effect with other enemies, first cast Zombie. Zombie makes the enemy "undead" and is thus vulnerable to healing items and magic. Phoenix Down on a character that is "Zombified" will kill it.

Defeating Molboro

Have your characters at least 150 strength (using G.F ability Strength +60, junction Ultima or Meteor), over 7000 HP(junction 100 Regen or Life 2), and a high hit rate (junction 100 Triple to the Hit Rate stat). Enter in a battle against Molboro. His breath causes all status ailments and he has the Bad Habit to do it at the start of the battle. When he uses it, wait for your party to wake up (each character will probably be in Sleepel status). The Death sentence will not begin until one of your character wakes up. When your party wakes up, simply attack. The Berserk status will make your time bar fill faster, and you will deal much more damage (about 9999 HP every hit). Blind status does not affect your character while Berserk cause of the high hit rate. The high HP should protect you enough to survive the battle. Because Molboro is slow, you should be able to finish him in about six turns. If the Death Sentence is dangerously near 0 you can always escape. Note: If you have Tonberry's Level Down you can always use it quickly before he does his Bad Breath, but you will gain less experience at the end of the battle. If you junction 100 Drain (get it by changing Vampire's Fang or draw by Dragon Izolde) to your weapon you will heal your character while attacking.

To avoid Molboro's most dangerous spell, Bad Breath, have at least one junction St-Def for each character and junction 100 Berserk magic. Have Siren's Chiryou command (removes all status ailments) equipped on one character. Enter the battle. The Molboro will do Bad Breath as his first attack. You should catch all the status ailments except Berserk. Heal the party with Chiryou as you can still control your characters and keep attacking. Repeat this each time he does his Bad Breath attack.

Before you face a Morbolo, junction Drain magic to your Status attack (100 recommended) and try to raise your strength as high as possible with Squall. As you enter battle, the Molboro will probably use his special attack Bad Breath immediately, causing almost every status to affect you. Wait until you are not confused and asleep. Every time Squall hits the Morbolo, it will regain some of your life. Soon, everyone but Squall will be dead until Squall gets frozen. However, sometimes immediately after you are frozen, the GF Phoenix will summon and do Rebirth Flame (even without a Phoenix Pinion) and revive your other two members not affected by Bad Breath. Then, use Soft/Remedy on Squall and use Limit Breaks to finish off Morbolo.

Defeating Ruby Dragon

Use the following trick to defeat the Ruby Dragons before Bahamut. Go the island in the lower left corner of the map. You will find a flashing object. Walk to it when it is not flashing or you will get into a fight (Anacondours, Blood Souls, Bombs, Buels). When you reach the object, press X. A voice will say "so you wish to challenge me?". You have only one option and will get into a fight with a Ruby Dragon. First, use Doomtrain to put it to sleep. Then use Diablos; he takes off 9999 HP each time. Use Leviathan also. It should take off 9999 HP or less, but only after Doomtrain. If the Ruby Dragon KOs a GF before you put him to sleep, have the person with the KOed GF use Demi. This will eventually defeat him. When you do, a voice will ask if you "wish for mercy". If you are nearly dead respond with "Yeah, there's nothing I can do." You will get away. If you are okay, respond with "Never." You will fight another Ruby Dragon, but this time you will be attacked from behind. Repeat the process to defeat it. When you win, you will be asked "Why do you wish to fight?" You will have three options: "For the sake of protecting something", "None of your business", and an invisible choice, which is "It's in our nature". The first two will bring out Ruby Dragons. The third will bring you inside the flashing object and to Bahamut. Be careful of the Ruby Dragons' Breath attack which will either kill you or nearly kill you. If you are lucky, Odin will appear during the battle.

Defeating T-Rexaur at Training Center

At this point, although Quistis may specifically mention Sleep as a useful Status spell, Blind works just as well and may sometimes be more effective. As T-Rexaur cannot cast magic, Blind renders him harmless.

Defeating Tri-Point

Junction 100x Thundaga to Elem Def-J to absorb Tri Point's Mega Spark. Auto-Protect for all is the best way to cushion the damage of Onrush, plus using Triple followed by Curaga if needed.

UFO

When battling, you may sometimes encounter no enemies. Wait for a few seconds, and eventually, a UFO will fly by, carrying something. On the beach, is an Easter Island head, and in the desert it is a pyramid. This happens very rarely, and you will not get any Experience, AB or Items.
