Level 33 starting character

Start the game with the -act5 command line parameter. If done correctly, you will have all skill points and attribute points. This works on the Barbarian, Assassin, Amazon, and Druid. However, you will only have the base inventory and no waypoints. Take the waypoint back to the Rogue encampment.

Note: This works for all characters with v1.10 of the game.

To create lower level characters, start the game with the -act1 for a new level 1 character in Act 1; -act2 for a new level 16 character in Act 2; -act3 for a new level 21 character in Act 3, or -act4 for a new level 27 character in Act 4.

View debug information

Start a game, press [Enter] to enter talk mode, then type fps. The ping time, frame skip , and frames per second will appear in the upper left corner. Note: Type /framerate in v1.10 and higher of the game.

Sound debug

Press [Enter] to open the chat screen, then type SoundChaosDebug to hear a sound. To return to normal, repeat the code.

Disable item auto-pickup

Press [Enter] to open the chat screen, then type nopickup. This is useful when trying to navigate through areas with a lot of items on the ground. To force an item to be picked up, hold [Alt] while moving over it.

View items on the floor

Press [Alt] during game play to view all items on the floor. The names of the items appear directly above them.

Automatically go to Battle.net

Start the game with the -skiptobnet command line parameter.

Disable preload

Start the game with the -npl command line paramenter.

Disable saves

Start the game with the -nosave command line perimeter.

Disable sound

Start the game with the -ns command line parameter.

Start in windowed mode

Start the game with the -w command line parameter.

Use OpenGL graphic renderer

Start the game with the -opengl command line parameter.

No rainy weather

Search the game directory to find .DLL and .MPQ files. Move the STORM.DLL to another directory.

Unlockables

Secret Cow level

Defeat Baal under the same difficulty setting that you are making the cow level in. Take Wirt's Leg (found in Tristram) and a Tome Of Town Portals and put them in the Horadric Cube. You must transmute them in Act 1.

You can portal to the cow level by combining a Tome of Town Portal and Wirt's Leg. When you combine the tome, the amount of scrolls inside effect the number of cows in the level. If you combine a full tome, the cow level will have a larger amount of cows/hero cows than if a tome with only three scrolls was used.

Note: If you kill the Cow King you will not be able to make it anymore. Be careful not to kill the King.

Duplicate items

Use the following trick to duplicate anything (items, gold, potions, etc.). Have a friend playing with you in multi-player mode. Take the character you want to copy items from and change the file attributes of the character save files to read only. When in the game anything you do will not be saved. so When you drop something and your friend picks it up, the game will not record you as dropping the item. Save and exit and repeat. When you are done, turn off the read only attribute so your progress in the game can be saved as usual.

Keep the Horadric Malus

After retrieving the Horadric Malus, return to the Rogue Encampment. Before talking to Charsie, Equip the Horadric Malus to your secondary weapons set (where you click the tab or press W in your inventory). Next, click the tab again or press W to switch back to your primary weapons set. Then, talk to Charsie. When she is done talking, click "Imbue", then get out of the imbue screen. You will now be able to imbue an item, yet keep the Horadric Malus (it is still in your secondary weapon set). If repeated after you imbue an item, it may be that it is possible to imbue more than one item. If not, you can still do two more imbuings in the harder difficulties, and can also get two more Horadric Maluses.

Pass through wall

In Act 5 with a Barbarian, use Whirlwind at one of the fortified towers after it is destroyed. You will go straight

through it.
