Sketch fart: Defeat all enemies in a room, then repeatedly tap [Down].

Invincibility: Go to the juke box under the options menu. Press C
after selecting each of the following tracks, in order: 3, 12,
17, 2, 2, 10, 2, 7, 7, 11. Start a game and your power bar will

Level select: Go to the juke box under the options menu. Press C
after selecting each of the following tracks, in order: 14, 15,
18, 5, 13, 1, 3, 18, 15, 6. Highlight a number from 1 to 6 and
press C to advance to select a new level when a new game

Hint: Kung fu move list: Change your button control list by selecting "Button
Configuration" in the options menu. Press [Left] until
you get to A = jump, B = to select an item in the
inventory and C = attack. The following moves may now be

Jumping air kick: Press A + C.
Turn around kick: Press [Left], [Right] + C.
Air somersault: Press [Up], [Right] + A.

Hint: Defeating multiple enemies: When there are two enemies on the screen to fight (as
in a case like one of the last panels with two Strigels), move
away from one of them if they throw fire balls. They will begin
to throw fire balls. If there is a bar on top, jump up and grab
it, then press [Up]. They will kill each other. Each takes
15 hits before they are killed. BIOfireWORM.
Hint: Weapons: Look for these power-up items: grenades, dynamite,
knives, fists, road kill, iced tea and paper air planes. Paper
air planes are created by holding [Attack]. BIOfireWORM.
Hint: Killing enemies: When there is an enemy and some sort of a destroying
object (such as a stake or fan), get on the opposite side of the
enemy and roll him/her towards the object. They cannot hurt you
when you are rolling. BIOfireWORM.
Hint: Nocturnal tournament: If you use a fist when fighting in the tournament ("Welcome
To The Temple, episode 2, page 1), it will turn black and the
announcer will say "Your tricks are useless here". BIOfireWORM.
Bonus picture: Complete rounds one through ten in under twenty seconds
and receive a perfect score in each bonus round to accumulate
over 240,000 points. A picture of a girl in a bikini will appear
in the lower left corner of the screen.
Skip to Plethora: Go to the end of the Blue Lake Woods 2 level, but do
not touch the flag. Stand on the last prize block, hold the Jump
and Special Weapons buttons, then press Down/Right.
5000 bonus points: Complete any level without collecting any special items.
Alternately, complete any level without getting hurt.
View ending sequence: Enter GFF3F546F35564 FFOSLPIMFJEDGH to view
the original mode ending. Note: This password is not valid for
the Triple Score version of the game.
Super bike: Enter 6FF3F546F35564FFOSLPIMFJEDGH for a super
bike in original mode.
Extra money: Enter 5FF3F540F33504FFHWKJOMBJOFDU as a password.
An alternate method is to repeatedly crash until your bike develops
engine trouble or a broken windshield. You will be forced to retire
at the start of the next race. Press B or C to return
to the options screen with an extra $400. Repeat this process
to build your total amount of money.
Level passwords: Enter one of the following passwords and select original
mode to begin game play at the indicated level with the best parts,
mechanic, extra money, and a clean record.
Level select: Use the sound test selection on the options menu. Choose
sounds 19, 65, 9, and 17 (in that order) and press C after
each selection. A chime will confirm correct code entry. Press
Start. Hold A and press Start when Sonic
and Tails appear at the title screen.
Debug mode: Play this sequence at the level select sound test screen:
1, 9, 9, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4. Then, hold A + Start as

Play in the dark: Hold C + Start at the level select menu.

All Emeralds: Play this sequence at the level select sound test screen:
4, 1, 2, 6. Select any level, get 50 rings, then jump. Matthew Sporich.
Level skip: This trick requires the "Level select" and
"Debug mode" codes. Go to any stage and change into
an object. Press A until you get to the object before the
single ring. It is a strange looking object with a little Robotnik
head (a machine where all the creatures appear from if you defeated
a Boss). Place about ten in a row. Step on the first one until
you see the score counting as if you completed the level. When
you see that, step on the other buttons. You will go to the level
after the level you were supposed to go to. For example: if you
were in the Emerald Hill Act 1 you will now be in Chemical Plant
Act 1. You can do this trick in any stage, but not in Dead Zone.
Enable the "Debug mode" code and choose any level except
the Death Egg. Press C to cycle through the sprites until
you see a glitched-looking prison egg. Return to Sonic again and
get him to step on it. The "Sonic got through Act 1/2"
message should appear. This will take you to the next level, and
even works on Bosses.
Toggle Tails or Miles: Press Up(3), Down(3), Up at the
title screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Alternately,
press Up(2), Down(2), Up(4).
Extra continues: Enable the "Level select" code. Use the sound
test selection on the options screen. Choose sounds 1, 1, 2, and
4 (In that order) and press C after each selection. Highlight
the "Player Select" option and press Start.
Mega Sonic: Collect fifty rings and jump after becoming Hyper Sonic
for even more speed and higher jumps.
Ashura (green Sonic): Enter the "Debug mode" code and go to Emerald
Hill Act 1 or 2. Turn into a waterfall (it is almost invisible)
and start placing waterfalls all over. You will have made enough
when the Sonic head icon turns green or black. Turn back into
Sonic and jump out of the area. He will now be green. Note: If
you turn into Super Sonic, you will have repeat the trick. Matthew Sporich.
Unlimited speed shoes: Begin game play in two player vs. mode and hit as many
item boxes as possible until you get the speed shoes. Then, intentionally
lose your life while you have them (getting squashed is the easiest
way). You will return to the start of the level or the last Star
Post that you hit, but you will now have the speed shoes in effect
for the rest of the stage.
Hint: Hit Tails across the head: After you defeat a Boss (with someone else controlling
Tails), have Sonic jump on the button and Tails jump of the container
beside the button. Then, have Sonic go to the edge as far as he
can go (to the side with Tails). If positioned correctly, he should
be waving his arms through the air. Then, press player two [Up]
repeatedly until the zone is over. It will appear as if Sonic
is hitting Tails in the head. Andrew Beddingfield.
Hint: Super Sonic sign: Get all of the Chaos Emeralds and transform into Super
Sonic. Try to have at least fifty rings when you finish the level.
After completing the level, run off screen and wait until the
end-of-level sign shows Sonic. When it does, transform into Super
Sonic. The sign will show Super Sonic for one second, then show
blue Sonic again.
Hint: Starry Super Sonic: Get all the Chaos Emeralds and collect fifty rings,
but do not transform into Super Sonic yet. Find an invincibility
monitor and spin (do not jump) into it. Then, transform into Super
Sonic. If done correctly, the stars will surround Super Sonic
until he runs out of rings and transforms back into blue Sonic.
Note: This does not improve Super Sonic's performance
Hint: Quick Goodies: At the start of Angel Island, kill the monkey in the
tree and jump on the first gray rock to reveal a bumper spring.
Bounce up into the tree, and using the bumper spring hidden in
the tree, bounce left to land on the moving platform. The platform
will take you to a ring bonus and lightning shield power-up. Using
the spring in the tree again, bounce right to land on ground with
spikes and a RhinoBot. Jump past these to collect the fire shield.
Hint: Death Egg: While in the death egg, defeat the big robot, and enable
the "Super Sonic", "Debug" and "Level
select" codes. Start running out of the Death Egg. While
running out, turn into an object, then back to Sonic. Go back
to the robot room, and another robot will be there. The explosions
that follow you out will follow you while you fight the robot.
You can go back a few times using this technique.
Hint: Bonus points: For extra points, pass any zone in a certain amount
of time. For the best bonus, enter the "Debug mode"
code. The clock will stop and you will always score a 50,000 bonus.

Wing Fortress shortcut: In Wing Fortress, move with some rings as far to the
right as possible without climbing. When blades appear to block
your way, hit them. As soon as you are invincible, walk through
them. Jump on the platforms to the right and half the level will
be completed.
Extra life: Pause game play and press [Left], Up,
S, A, [Down], [Up], S, [Down],

Full health: Pause game play and press S, A, S,

New weapons: Pause game play and press D, A, [Left],
[Left], [Down], A, [Down] repeatedly
until you hear a sound to confirm correct code entry. You can

Vectorman goofs around: Stand for a few seconds. Vectorman will goof around
and eventually act like he is grabbing some weed and making fun
of pot smokers. At other times he will eventually act like a rapper.
Control opening sequence: At the start when you are flying, hold D and
you will not move down anymore. Justin Beaucage.
Hint: Super overkill: Enable the "New weapons" code eight times.
You should reappear as the Fire Ant form, but you will also do
a much stronger overkill. Use it against the Swamp Boss for a
one hit kill.
Hint: Alternate flame color: Enter into a level where there are some Paint Bugs.
Do the flame and then get hit by a Paint Bug. You should change
colors and still have the flame. This looks best in black. It
also may be done while in a morph.
