Cheat mode:
Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play to display the console window. Enter one of the following case-sensitive codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Some codes may be case-sensitive.

1. This code removes the footprint limitation for all object placement in Buy Mode and Build Mode. It also removes limitations placed on hand tool for when objects are in use, or are normally non-movable objects. This may cause issues with game elements, routing, hidden object generation and manipulation, etc. Using this cheat allows you to delete objects that normally cannot be deleted, such as Sims, the mailbox, and the garbage can. Some objects can not be restored.

2. Turn Autopatch on and go to the Custom Content Browser (the little snowflake button on the UCP in the neighborhood). If there is an update available you will be asked whether you want to download it.

Glitch: Permanent electrocuted skeleton:
Enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code. Hold [Shift] and click the most expensive hot tub. Select the option that reads, "*BREAK!!". Water will start running out. Hold [Shift] and click your Sim. Select the "Spawn" option, then "Sim Modder". Note: If the "Sim Modder" option is not visible from the first page of options, click the "More..." command until it appears. Click the baby "Sim Modder", then choose "Skills...", then "Me (<name>)", then finally "MIN ALL". (or just "Mechanical" then "MIN"...). Click the hot tub then choose the option labeled "Repair". When the meter above your Sim's head reaches the highest point, optionally enable the slowMotion <4-8> code. Pause time, then hold [Shift] and click your Sim. Click the "More..." option until you see the "Force Error" option. Then, click the "Reset" option. If done correctly, your Sim will look like one of those Routing Eye Attractors. The only difference is that it will have electricity sparking from it all the time. Enable the slowMotion 0 code when you are done.

Glitch: Place multiple objects on one square:
Enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code. Place one item or object, then combine it with another object by placing two of them in the exact square. When you disable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code, the objects or items that you put together will not be allowed to be together again unless you press [Esc].

Glitch: Hear karaoke background beats:
When you hear the background beat begin on the karaoke machine when your Sim (and optionally another Sim) gets on the Karaoke Machine, quickly shift-click your Sim (and optionally, the other Sim) and choose "Force Error". Click the "Reset" button in the dialog box that appears. When you resume the game only the background beat will continue to play.

Glitch: Prevent death of motives:
Force an error with your Sim. While it is frozen in time by pressing P, use the Sim Modder to recover all motives for your Sim. Your Sim will be saved from starving, bladder problems, hygiene, etc.
