First person view: Highlight a ship during a battle and press [Tab].
Hint: Sweeper diplomacy: Take at least 3 to 4 diplomats and send them to 3 to
4 different planets in one sector. Have them run diplomacy missions.
Keep sending your diplomats to every single planet in the sector
and then do the same for all of the sectors. Do this quickly,
because the other side may want those same planets. Try starting
this diplomacy campaign around day 25 or 30. totodile3456789.
Hint: Easier Domination: When you start your game, do not start building things
such as Star Destroyers. Instead, create as many troop transports
and army units as possible. Take over as many outer rim planets
as you can. Do not worry about the ones you have to gain with
diplomacy for now; just the ones you can land troops on. Next
find a few planets that have energy 12 and above and create ship/troop/construction
yard planets. This means you have 12+ ship yards, 12+ troop yards,
12+ construction yards on it. If there is 13 or 14, put shields
on it. Do not put any mines or refineries, as you will have plenty
of those planets. For the construction yard planets, you do not
need to find 12 or more. You can have a group of 8+ and have about
one or two in each sector and a 12 if possible. After you have
a few sectors and about two ship yard, two troop yard, and about
five to six construction yard planets, turn on manage production
so that C3PO (or Imperial Droid) uses your planets to start maxing
out the planets you did not select as a "Yard" planets.
During all of this, keep building cheap troops (Army Reg for the
Imperials is 3 MainPoints) and keep taking the free outer rim
sectors. During all your planet taking, use the Emperor and Vader
(Mon Monthma and Luke if Alliance) to recruit and use the diplomats
to take the inner rim planets that are free. Have two big fleets
(3 if you can afford it), and in each have the ship classes that
take out other ships (for example, Imperial IIs), and have a lot
of carriers (Liberator cruisers for Rebels). A lot of fighters
is the key to winning battles. In each fleet, keep about two diplomats
(DIPS), two to three people good for things such as sabotage missions
(SABS), and as many troops as you can afford. Try to keep at least
800 MainPoints free in case the enemy takes a few planets. Try
to keep 1200 MainPoints free. Try to protect your outer rim planets
and use your two fleets with the SABS and DIPS on them to take
their sectors one planet at a time, two sectors at a time . You
will soon have them down to one sector. Note: This is much harder
to use under the medium and hard difficulty settings. Brad Richards.
Hint: Death Stars: When playing as the Empire, you have a chance to build
Death Star(s). Wait until you have about 1800 credits before you
building it. When you have the money, prepare a planet, preferably
in the Outer Rim territories, to build it on. Get at least twelve
Shipyards (upgrade them to Advanced Shipyards when you can), two
Shield Generators, and a good Fleet and Garrison. You are now
free to build. It will be completed in about 1,500 to 3,000 days.
However, it is possible to build a Death Star in 24 days if you
find a planet and build 24 Advanced Shipyards on it. Also, before
you go on a rampage, get your Diplomats ready. Your own worlds
will start deciding the Rebels were correct if you do not give
them a nice chat once in a while. elizabetkatt.
Hint: Empire strategies: Although the following strategies focus when playing
with the Empire, but many of them can be applied to the Rebels
as well. At the start of the game, send the Emperor on recruitment
missions on Coruscant until all characters are found. This will
allow you to find quality personnel without losing the bonus for
having the emperor on Coruscant. Send all personnel with high
Diplomacy skills on diplomacy missions to planets with Construction
Yards or Ship Yards in place. It is also a good idea to find planets
that have Shield Generators already in place, along with numerous
resource producing units on them. This will increase the maintenance
points available to you while increasing your chances of holding
on to these systems without establishing Garrisons on them. This
is a huge advantage early in the game, and will serve you well
as you begin to build larger ships and military garrisons that
have larger maintenance requirements. Another very important objective
early in the game is to send personnel capable of research to
systems with the respective type of facility. Researching ship
development is the most important, followed by facilities design,
then troop training. Make sure to protect these systems with Garrisons,
Fleets or Shield Generators as the enemy will probably try to
abduct the personnel conducting research. Make sure to place personnel
that can assume command as Admirals and Commanders in your fleets.
A high leadership rating is very important in determining who
you select as your Commanders. As soon as the Emperor recruits
someone, determine how they can best be used and take the appropriate
actions immediately. It is a good idea to keep at least twelve
Troops on Coruscant, as well as Fighter Squadrons. Also load up
on Shield Generators and Batteries. Try building a troop training
facility on Coruscant and just keep building Troops there. Also,
build ten Imperial Probe Droids very early in the game and send
them out at the same time to a explore every system in a particular
sector. This will expedite your search for Outer Rim systems that
can be used as military staging areas or resource gathering. You
might get lucky and find the Rebel base as well, but do not count
on it being there for long. For facility construction, select
a system that has a Construction Yard already in place and continue
to build more on that planet. Scrap resources on that planet when
available space on it reaches zero. Make sure to check the Galaxy
Overview to see how many Mines and Refineries are present. There
should be a 1:1 ratio of Mines to Refineries to optimize production.
Place Shield Generators and Batteries to defend your Construction
Yards. Upgrade to Advance Construction Yards as soon as research
is complete. Stephen Belville.
