Quick load:
Start the game with the -nocanary -nointro command
line parameters to skip the CD check and introduction sequence.
Other cars:
When going into "Hacks" you can select new
cars such as sports car, air plane, exotic, etc. You also can
get horn balls which wreck the other drivers. Note: You can fly
the plane if you do not hit anything. Go a straightaway and the
plane will go in the air.
Rudd2dTop.
Hint: Drive on water:
Enter Quick Race mode and disable damage. Select Rock
Island as a course, and go past the lighthouse to the side of
the castle. Drive off the ledge onto the water, but do not go
too far.
Knex22585.
Hint: Clutch:
Press C during game play to separate the clutch
plates, putting the car out of gear. This is helpful when you
want to slide around corners slowly while keeping the engine at
full throttle.
Alan Mick.
Faster reverse:
Press [Reverse] + [Throttle] for a faster
reverse gear. Your speed should go to 999 mph.
Hint: Shortcut:
When racing on the first track, you can save some time
by driving over the grass where the "S" turn is located.
LiLeRiC45672.
Hint: 360 spin:
Find a flat area or straightway (for example, Bejemidi
or Dayton). Go fast (about 100mph) and simultaneously engage reverse
and left or right steering. Keep the throttle at 100% power. Hold
these until the nose of the car is pointing towards you then switch
the direction you are steering. For example, if you were steering
left, go right and vice versa. Keep the direction switched until
the nose comes around straight. Then, release the reverse and
steering.
The Muffin Man.
Hint: Flying car:
Choose the "Options" selection at the main
menu, then "Hacks", then click "Pave the World",
and make sure you know which button does the wheelie. Then, go
to quick race and choose a track such as Rocky Island or any other
with steep hills and mountains. Start driving, find a steep hill
that you barely or cannot drive up. Make sure this slope is flat
and very long (mountain or something similar). Accelerate in first
gear slowly; just enough to get your car on the slope. Then hold
[Wheelie]. Your car will start to climb the hill, hitting
it with the bumpers as it goes up. You release the gas, but keep
[Wheelie] held. If the hill is long enough, the car will
keep accelerating and become airborne. Do not release [Wheelie].
Your car should be pointed straight up and be accelerating as
if it were a plane. Unfortunately, you cannot steer, but it is
still a sick drop when you release [Wheelie].
Phil Lincoln.
Anywhere in any level (you do not have to press up against a mountain
unless you want to get very high), you can glide around. To do
this, first, press [F9] to switch your camera view to overhead.
Then, lightly tap W for a wheelie. Do this carefully until
you get your car pointing straight up. At this point, promptly
hold W. This should cause you to lift up and fly around.

Hint: Career mode car setups:
In Career mode, concentrate on chassis setup and upgrades
instead of speed and acceleration. Your default speed will be
good, but there are a lot of winding roads to be driven.
In Career mode, save the game immediately after your last good
result but before you spend money on upgrades that might not work
out. By doing this, you will have the option of reupgrading.
In Career mode if you do not win a class, you will get to keep
whatever money you have accumulated and start that class all over
again. Particularly in the relatively easy Amateur class, you
may want to do well enough to earn some money, but not so well
that you will win it. Save the money to buy bigger and better
upgrades later.
Hint: Starting from a dead stop:
When moving from a dead stop, take it slow and steady
until the tires grab. When starting a race, use the same tactic
and remember to shift into first gear before the race begins.
Hint: Keeping control:
Making sudden moves, particularly when braking, is
usually fatal. When braking hard into a tight corner following
a long straight, slow down first, then turn.
