Halloween zoo:
Set your system date to October 31 and all guests and buildings will turn orange and black. You can also see buy a jack-o-lantern at the buildings and items menu and see a witch fly overhead. Note: The last effects also happen on game date October 31.

Santa Claus:
On game date December 25, Santa Claus will fly overhead.

Christmas decorations:
On game date December 25th, you will be able to buy Christmas Trees and Frosty the Snowman for your zoo.

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "zoo.ini" file in the game folder. If you put the clam or treasure chest in a tank filled with water, both will open and close.

Hint: Show objects in regular tanks:
Build a small show exhibit. Make sure the animal you are going to put in your exhibit can use the show toy. Then, build a regular tank around it, but leave one piece of wall out so that it does not fill. Then, delete the show tank but not the show toys. The show toys will now be on the ground inside of the almost completed tank. Fill in the rest of the tank so that the toys are in the water. The toys will float up. Your aquatic show-performing animals can always play with show objects as though they were performing a show. Note: You will not get any money as you would with a regular show, but it makes your animals happier.

Hint: No rubble or trampled terrain:
Block off part of the exhibit then put terrain that can be trampled there. In their part of the exhibit, put Dirt, Sand, Brown or Gray Stone, or Snow. You can also use water as a fence if the animal cannot swim.
