Bonus characters:
Select the "Vs. Mode" option at the title screen. Highlight the "Vs. Com" or "Vs. 2P" option, then hold Select and press Run to unlock seven additional characters.

Hidden screens:
Hold I + II + Select at the "Kogado" logo until a hidden screen appears. Keep holding the buttons to display a second hidden screen.

Arcade aspect ratio:
Note: This requires a multi tap. Press I during game play.

Change colors:
Note: This requires a multi tap. Press II during game play.

Invincibility:
Note: This requires a multi tap. Press Select on controller five during game play.

Level skip:
Note: This requires a multi tap. Press Run on controller five during game play.

Control enemies:
Note: This requires a multi tap. Enable the "Level skip" code. Turn on the new "Extra VS Mode" option and begin game play. When an enemy appears, press Run on controller two. You can now control the enemies.

Cheat mode:
Enter the options screen and set "Level" to "Hard", "SE" to "07", and "BGM" to "13". Then, highlight the "Level" option and press I. Level select and "Extra VS Mode" options will be available. The "Extra VS Mode" allows the game to be played in story mode using any mecha.
