Cheat mode: Start the game and enter the chancellor's house (through
the top-left door). While the chancellor talks to you, rotate
the D-pad clockwise, starting at Up, until the conversation
ends. Leave his house, and you should have 9,999 gems and unlimited
lives.
View ending sequence: Hold I and press Right thirteen times
at the title screen.
