Diablo 2: Lord Of Destruction
View debug information:
Start a game, press [Enter] to enter talk mode,
then type /fps. The ping time, frame skip , and frames
per second will appear in the upper left corner.
More experience:
Join a Battle.net or other multi-player game and join
a party. You and your partner will share experience. The more
people in the party, the more experience everyone gets.
Choose any kind of character then rush through the normal difficulty
by doing the following. In Act 1, kill Andariel with a party or
a strong friend. In Act 2, get the Amulet Of The Viper, the Staff
Of Kings and the Horadric Cube. Make the Horadric Staff and defeat
Duriel. In Act 3, kill the High Council and get WP to kill Mephisto.
In Act 4, kill Diablo. In Act 5, defeat the Ancients, then keep
doing Baalruns and kill Baal's minions (which give a lot of experience)
until you are at about level 40 to 50 (normal difficulty), 70
to 80 (nightmare difficulty). Then, go to the next difficulty.
Note: Make sure that you do not kill Baal himself (except in Hell)
until you have a high enough level. Otherwise, you will not be
able to see the games of the previous difficulty anymore.
Information in this section was contributed by andries demandt.
More money:
If you find an item and you are going to sell it, repair
it first so it is worth more gold. This increases the price of
the item selling by 50%. You could save about 1,000 to 2,500 gold
early in the game. Note: The more valuable an item is, the higher
the price you can sell it for after repairing.
Information in this section was contributed by Sephiroth199.
Note: When repairing items to sell for gold pay attention to the
sell price before you repair. The maximum sale price is 25,000
gold. If your item is worth 25,000 gold before repair, do not
waste your gold repairing it. It will not increase the sell value
any higher.
Information in this section was contributed by Jeremy Stumpf.
When the secret Cow level is empty of cows or there are only a
small number remaining, go in and pick up items. Go to town and
sell them. Return to the Cow level and pick up the items again
and repeat.
Information in this section was contributed by Olga Sushkov.
Secret Cow level:
Defeat Baal under the same difficulty setting that
you are making the cow level in. Take Wirt's Leg (found in Tristram)
and a Tome Of Town Portals and put them in the Horadric Cube.
You must transmute them in Act 1.
You can portal to the cow level by combining a Tome of Town Portal
and Wirt's Leg. When you combine the tome, the amount of scrolls
inside effect the number of cows in the level. If you combine
a full tome, the cow level will have a larger amount of cows/hero
cows than if a tome with only three scrolls was used.
Information in this section was contributed by Nerth Thern.
Note: If you kill the Cow King you will not be able to make it
anymore. Be careful not to kill the King.

get the corresponding new item.

Hint: Keep weapons:
When you die, quit the game by pressing [Cmd]
+ Q . Return to the game, and your character should be
standing over your old dead body that was killed in a different
level. This allows you to have all your weapons for when you adventure
out again.
Information in this section was contributed by Alek
Kowasic.
Hint: Get any item:
Use the following trick to get almost any desiered
item. Go to the person in your highest Act that gambles (for exampel,
Gheed or Jamella). Go to gamble. A list of good items will appear.
If you do not see anything desirable, exit, then go to gamble
again. There will be a new list of items for sale. Repeat the
process until you have found what you want.
Information in this section was contributed by AlmightyDrJMan.
Hint: Good items:
Go into the Blood Moor in Nightmare mode. Fight some
zombies, quill rats and the little red demons. They will be extremely
difficult, but when you kill a simple zombie Boss, red demon Boss
or quill rat Boss you will get a rar item (for example, a unique,
gold or blue). Also, the rouge encampment has good weapons.
Information in this section was contributed by Spooner1.
Hint: Raise Magic Find:
To raise your Magic Find to a very high level, place
all of your gems in your inventory (the more, the higher your
magic count will get). Any state of gem is acceptable. Having
only one gem is also acceptable. Go out of town and kill some
enemies. There is a very high chance that you will get more gems.
This can quickly multiply your gems and bring your magic count
so high that you can find up to three rings in one chest in the
Cold Plains in Act 1 under the normal difficulty setting.
Information in this section was contributed by Mathieu Jolicoeur.
Hint: Make new Charms:
Take any size Charm, put it into the Horadic Cube,
then put in three perfect Gems and transmute. They are randomly
given.
Information in this section was contributed by Brannon Baxter.
Hint: Easy experience and items:
Create a Sorceress, then max out her Firewall. Trade
some items for a good Tarnhelm, some ChaceGuards, and other +%
to Magic Find items. You Sorceress should be at about level 45.
Then, go to Channel Cows/Cowz and wait for someone to make a game.
Join that game and Firewall all the cows. Your experience will
increase and you will get unique items. Do not duel or do anything
dangerous with this sorceress, as you will get killed.
Hint: Easy runes:
In v1.10, the Countess (Act 1) always gives at least
one rune. This is excellent for getting the Tal Rune (75 poison
damage in 5 seconds). Put two of them in a weapon for a good weapon.
Information in this section was contributed by Puffychipmunks.
At the Tower Cellar level 5, kill the Boss as many times as desired.
You will always get one to two Runes.
Information in this section was contributed by René Jensen.
Hint: More money for items:
The easiest way to increase the value of an item is
to have it identified by a Identify Scroll or by Deckard Cain.
The value will immediately increase.
Hint: Safe gold storage:
If your stash is full of gold and you do not want to
lose everything if you get killed, drop all your gold beside your
stash or somewhere in town. You can go out and fight without worrying,
but must pick up your gold again before you save and exit.
Information in this section was contributed by Victor Chan.
Note: Items will disappear if you leave them next to your box
and they sit there long enough while you are in a different zone.
It does not appear to have anything to do with how many items
drop off monsters; it has to do with time.
Information in this section was contributed by Steven Lucas.
Hint: Imbuing items and adding sockets
to items:
These two actions are rewards offered by the smiths
in Act I and V as you complete their related quests. It may be
wise not to use them immediately afterwards. Keep them for later
difficulty levels, where you can find exceptional and elite items
(such as the Ornate Plate armor or Mesh Boots). An imbued elite
piece of body armor with added sockets can prove to be extremely
useful. This applies for single player mode, and also may work
in multi-player. Note: Some higher stats you can get after an
imbue can only be obtained only after your character reaches a
higher level.
Information in this section was contributed by Hunter Bill.
Hint: Fill tomes:
When you are about to finish all of your scrolls that
are in a tome, you can fill the tome again by selling it to someone
then immediately buying it again. It will be full and it will
cost less than if you bought twenty scrolls or a new tome.
Information in this section was contributed by Marc-André.
Hint: Assassin: Easy kills:
Use the following trick when you are in a not so good
situation and have Tiger Strike and Fists Of Fire. Charge up Fists
Of Fire fully then Tiger Strike fully. While both the charges
are spinning around, use a normal attack. This will lower the
health of the opponent you attacked and also makes a scatter of
fire that starts to kill the rest.
Hint: Necromancer: Make a transparent Golem:
You need to know Summoning Metal Golem of any level
and a transparent weapon (ethereal weapon). Do the same thing
needed to summon the usual Metal Golem. When he is summoned, he
will be transparent.
Information in this section was contributed by Helldr7.
Hint: Developing a strong Amazon:
Try to maximize Multiple Shot, Guided Arrow, Dodge,
and Avoid. Put the rest of the skill points into Critical Strike
and Slow Missiles.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
Hint: Developing a strong Assassin:
First, put a few skill points into Claw Mastery(5-20),
then max out Dragon Tail and Phoenix Strike. You may also want
to optionally max out Weapon Block. Have Dragontail set as your
main attack, and Phoenix Strike as your secondary attack. Charge
up Phoenix Strike, then use Dragon Tail to unleash maximum fury
on your target. Phoenix Strike is obviously the charge up skill
of choice, and Dragontail will bring out the maximum potential
of it, with help from Claw Mastery.
Information in this section was contributed by ZUBIN91.
To kill bosses easily, use Tiger Strike (3 Charge), then unleash
Dragon Flight. You can use it for unique monsters, etc. It will
kill Baal in normal mode instantly (if maxed each).
Information in this section was contributed by Kenneth Krisnanto.
Try to maximize Dragon Tail, Dragon Flight, Claw Mastery, Weapon
Block, Fade, Wake of Fire, and Blade Shield. Put the rest of the
skill points into anything you desire.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
Hint: Developing a strong Barbarian:
Gain some levels and give some of your skill points
to any of the masteries that you desire. Put the points on the
class of the weapon that you think you will be using during the
game. When you get to level 18, put your points on Iron Skin to
maximize your defense so that monsters have a harder time hitting
you. At level 30, maximize the skill Natural Resistance. Your
Barbarian should be good at blocking attacks and have Whirlwind
to kill monsters that become packed around you.
Information in this section was contributed by FalconsTalon77.
Try to maximize Whirlwind, Sword Mastery (or whatever Mastery
you want to use), Iron Skin, Natural Resistance, Battle Orders,
and Battle Command. Put the rest of the skill points into Increase
Stamina and Increase Speed.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
Start out only putting skill points into masterings that you want
to use thought the game. When you get to level 12, put one point
into Stamina +% and go back to masterings until level 18. Then,
put all skill points there after into Iron Skin until maxed out.
After that, max out the mastery. Then, put the points anywhere
desired.
Information in this section was contributed by Branden Welch.
Hint: Developing a strong Druid:
When playing as a Druid that specializes in elemental
spells, note that you must have the elemental abilities "Hurricane"
and "Tornado" before you are allowed to learn "Armageddon".
Also, the "Summon Grizzly" spell is much more powerful
than it seems; even if you do not specialize in summons, you should
still learn it. You may also need to know "Summon Spirit
Wolf" and "Summon Dire Wolf" also.
Information in this section was contributed by Mathieu Jolicoeur.
Do not bother putting any points into summoning for a Druid. Instead,
put more into skills such as Molten Boulder and Heart of Wolverine
than Werewolf or Werebear, and save skill points for more better
skills such as Grizzly Bears and Armageddon. They are much more
useful. For a weapon, use a strong one handed sword (War Sword
or exceptional sword is best) that is socketed and perhaps a Maul
or Polearm. Also try to get the unique weapon Earthshaker.
Information in this section was contributed by Ben Wise.
Use the following trick to develop a speed tank Druid. You must
do everything exactly. For your stats, every level switch between
Strength and Vitality, none into Energy, and at level 30 put points
into Dexterity until level 40. This is a werewolf Druid, as they
are very fast. Until level 30 switch between Werewolf and Lycantrophy.
Once you are level 30, max out Fury and then work on maximizing
Werewolf and Lycantrophy. This should be done at about level 65.
Then, work on getting the Grizzly Bear, and maximize it. Once
that is done and you still want to level, try to maximize Heart
Of The Wolverine Spirit. Try to get full Aldurs Set and socket
the weapon with 3 Perfect Topaz, because lightning damage is already
on the mace. Your damage will be very high and you can kill almost
anything in one Fury hit. A level 50 speed tank Druid should be
able to kill a level 84 Barbarian.
Information in this section was contributed by Curdzoo.
Try to maximize Cyclone Armor, Twister, Hurricane, Oak Sage, and
Spirit of the Barbs. Put the rest of the skill points into anything
you desire.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
To develop a strong Druid, you must first put your skill points
on anything until you reach level 18. At level 18, begin putting
your skill points on Fissure. As soon as you are at a high enough
level to summon a bear, start putting your skill points on it.
Max both of those skills out and you should be able to clear a
normal cow level at about level 25; even before you max them out.
Stay away from your enemies and let your Fissure and your bear
kill them.
Information in this section was contributed by The Boss.
Put all of your skill points into Firestorm until level 6. If
you plan on dueling, put a point into Arctic Blast. Then, max
out Molten Boulder and put points into Volcano or Fissure and
the perquisites for Summon Grizzly. Once you reach level 30, max
out Summon Grizzly then Volcano or Fissure. Use Molten Boulder
for regular attacks and Volcano or Fissure for Bosses and monsters
immune to Knockback.
Information in this section was contributed by Miles Belokrinicev-Ransaw.
Hint: Developing a strong Necromancer:
Try to maximize Iron Maiden, Bone Armor, Bone Prison,
and Poison Nova. Put the rest of the skill points into Skeleton
Mastery, Golem Mastery, Raise Skeletal Mage, and Fire Golem.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
Hint: Developing a strong Paladin:
You must be careful not to waste any skill points.
This Paladin revolves mostly around Defensive and some Offensive
Auras, and no combat skills (as none of them are very good). Choose
whichever aura suits you up until level 6. After that point, be
sure to put at least 3 skill points in each of the Resistance
Auras. After this is accomplished, you need at least 10 skill
points in Defiance and at least 6 or 7 into Cleansing. Now, up
until level 30, you can either boost up your defensive skills
(put 2 points into Redemption at level 30), or put some into new
skills of your choice (preferably start boosting Offensive Auras).
Next, you should only put 1 skill point into Thorns. It is not
a very good aura, and you will need it for other auras. Avoid
Holy Fire at all costs. Only 1 point is needed. You should then
put 4 or 5 points into Holy Freeze. You can now get to the good
Auras such as Conviction and Fantasm. These are the two auras
that should be maxed out. No aura should be left out. Use Resistance
auras for enchanted enemies, Defiance for extra strong, Conviction
for stone skin, Holy Freeze for extra fast, Cleansing for cursed,
and Fantasm for teleportation. Note: This will require some time
to develop.
Try to maximize Zeal, Charge, Vengance, Holy Shield, and Holy
Freeze. Put the rest of the skill points into anything you desire.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Lewis.
Max out Holy Freeze, Zeal, Redemption, Thorns, and Salvation.
In a cluster of enemies, use Holy Freeze on Right Click
and Zeal on Left Click. Holy Freeze will slow down all
of the enemies, and Zeal will speed up your attacks (Fanaticism
will also work, but not as well). Use Salvation if there are any
groups of Undead (for example, Diablo's Sanctuary). Use Redemption
to get your Health and Mana back to full. When up against a powerful
enemy/Boss, use Thorns to turn their attack back against them.
With Thorns maxed out, Diablo should kill himself in one hit under
the normal difficulty setting. Make sure you have enough health
to withstand the attack.
Information in this section was contributed by HypnoticSheep.
Once you start, get to level 3 before doing the Den Of Evil. At
level 2, learn Sacrifice. At level 3, learn an offensive aura,
Thorns or Might. At level 12, put only four points on your Zeal.
You are now done with your combat skills. Put all of your skills
on your offensive auras evenly until you get to Holy Shock. Max
out Holy Shock, then worry about equipment -- for example, Zacarum's
Hand Septor, Herald of Zacarum shield, Nagel's Ring, Milabrega's
Robe armor, and the rest consisting of items that add to resists.
For boots, try to find Poison Resist or Sigon's Boots. Frostbite
Gloves are also recommended. Your Paladin should be able to kill
a level 80 melee character easily or a level 60 magic or ranged
weapon character easily. To make your Paladin even stronger, find
socketed helmets and add Perfect Topazes to add to your Magic
Find. By doing this you can get even better equipment.

Hint: Developing a strong Sorceress:
The best skills for a good Sorceress consist of Frozen
Orb for usual attacks, Nova for when you are tightly packed/surrounded,
and Fire Wall for when you are outside of a large group of enemies.
Masteries are good for amplifying damage.
Try to maximize Warmth, Nova, Teleport, Thunder Storm, Lightning
Mastery, and Chilling Armor. Put the rest of the skill points
into anything you desire.

Use the following trick to create a good Sorceress dueler. First,
choose which element you wish to use (for example, Fire). When
making a Fire Sorceress you should max Fire Bolt until you reach
level 20. Then, max Fire Ball until level 40. Next, max Fire Mastery
until level 60. Then put a high number of points to Warmth so
that your Mana will replenish faster. You should also put a few
points to Teleport Energy Shield and Telekinesis. You should also
invest a few points in an attack from a different element for
times when you may encounter fire immunes. Try and get good Runes
like Um Ist and Pul so that you can trade for items like Fire
Skiller Charms, the Oculus, and Spirit Monarch Shield. It helps
to have friends that have doubles of good sorceress items so you
can get them cheap. If you choose to be a Lightning Sorceress,
then change the skills to Charged Bolt Lightning, Nova Chain Lightning,
and Thunderstorm Lighting mastery and put points to Enegry Shield,
Telekinesis, and Teleport. When making a Cold Sorceress, max out
Icebolt, Iceblast, Chilling Armor, Cold Mastery, Blizzard, and
Frost Nova.

Hint: Godly Sorceress duel:
You need a fire sorceress. Increase all fire skills
(Fire Wall works well), then teach her one Teleport and one Frost
Nova. When you are ready, first use your Teleport to get to her.
Quickly use your Frost Nova (making her slow down), then use your
Fire Wall, which does lots of damage per second.

Hint: Better restart:
When you die, do not save and quit. This gives you
the advantage of starting next to your body. However, if you died
fighting a Boss, unique, or champion monster, you must face them
with full health, rather than whatever you whittled down to before.
