Quick money:
Enable cheat mode and enter rosebud;: as a code. Then hold [Enter] so that "No such cheat" begins to flash. Keep the key held to gain up to 99 million simolians.

Enable cheat mode and enter rosebud as a code, then enter !;!;!;!; and so on. Every "!" results in another 1,000 simolians.

Quick career points:
Select a category to build up. For example, if "Body" is to be increased and you do not have a "Home Gym System" in your house, purchase one. Note: If you already have some career points for your Sim(s), save the game first. After you have placed your Home Gym where you have enough room, have your Sim do a work out. After he gets on, set the speed to "Ultra", or the speed between that and normal. Watch their needs meters so they do not get too low. You will see their Body points fill up. Enable move_objects on code, save the current and new body points you have, then switch to buy mode or build mode. Move the white hand over your character, click on him, and delete your character. Return to live mode and immediately click on that Sim's picture. This will allow you a promotion almost everyday. Repeat the above process to fill up your career points. The more career points you have, the harder it is to get the last few on each bar.

Potion effects:

Yellow: Switches your Sim's traits around. For example, if at 10 nice, after drinking it will be 0 nice.
Red: Love potion, works randomly on anyone of the opposite gender.
Blue: Refreshes almost all feelings, hunger, comfort etc.
Purple: Turns the Sim into a monster that walks around your house breaking everything. Turns back when there is nothing to break.
Green: Does the opposite of Blue (makes you sad, weak, hungry, etc.)
Orange: Makes your Sim invisible; becomes see-through and half of his or her legs disappear.

Full traits:
Create a Sim with no traits (0 nice, 0 active, etc.) Make him/her a yellow potion, and have them drink it. Your Sim will have a personality inversion, with all traits now at 10. Note: If you make too many potions a police woman appears and fines you.

Full need meters:
Save the game. Switch to buy or build mode and enable the move_objects on code. Put the white hand over the character and press [Delete]. Immediately return to live mode and click on the deleted Sim's picture. The character will appear in a different location refreshed with all need meters filled.

Buying multiple items:
When you are buying chairs or other items that you require multiple numbers of, hold [Shift] to repeatedly place the item where desired without having to re-select it.

Never miss work:
Enable the move_objects on code and put your garbage can in front of the vehicle.

Faster work promotions:
Study all the skills and get them as high as they will go, then start to work in any desired field. No matter what field you work in, you will receive one promotion per day. Your Sim's happiness level and friends count affect it in the later stages. This works well when you are using the money cheats, however, it is possible to do this without cheating by painting pictures and selling them; and creating potions and drinking them (as this will increase all your happiness levels, except sleepiness and hunger, saving you time). Every once in awhile, use a day or two to call a friend and talk to them all day. This will help you get family friends faster.

Keep Sim alive:
When a Sim dies, you can keep them alive by using the move_objects on code to delete the Grim Reaper. Save and exit the game, then evict your family. You will have to refurnish your house, but at least your Sim will still be alive.

When your Sim is dying, enter build or buy mode, enable the move_objects on code, and delete the Grim Reaper. Then, delete the dead Sim. When you return to live mode, click on that person's picture and they will reappear with their last saved stats. Note: The "death" music will still play.

Genie's Lamp:
Buy the Genie's Lamp under "+" in miscellaneous items. When you clean it, the Genie will appear. He will give you one of two choices. Choose one. It seems that if the Genie hesitates once, he will do something bad. If he hesitates twice, he will do something good.

Selling rubber and dead plants:
When the Genie grants you the wish with the dead plants, use the move_objects on code. You can now sell the "rubber" plants for 20 to 25 Simolians. You can also do this with regular dead plants.

Corner shelf:
First, put a counter in the corner, then put a counter an each end of the counter.

Kill Sim quickly:
Build a small house, put chess boards everywhere inside, but leave a space and one box. Place a fireworks shooter in the box. Make a door and tell the Sim to go in the room. Delete the door and tell the Sim to light a firework. Light another and repeat until the Sim is dead.

Use the following trick to kill a Sim quickly in a fire. Make a 10x12 house. Count how many Sims you want to kill and add one to that number. Fill up the house with exercise machines and an amount of boxes open in a line equal to your number. Put a fireworks launcher in the end box of the line of boxes. Enable the move_objects on code and pick up the Sims you wanted to kill. Place them in different empty boxes in the house. Tell any one of the Sims to light the fireworks. If done correctly, once launched the entire house will catch on fire at the same time. Note: The game may freeze for a few seconds. Also, you may run out of money while you are doing this trick.

Put an unwanted Sim in a room. Get rid of the door and buy some fireworks. Light them off. They will go up, come down, light on fire, and kill the Sim.

Zombie Sim:
Kill your Sim, and before the Grim Reaper takes him or her away, get your husband or wife to plead with him. He will say " I'm generous today, so I will spare your Sim", then bring him or her back to life. That Sim will now be green but will live a normal life. Note: If you do not want them to be a zombie, enable the move_objects on code and delete him or her. Then, click on their head and they will return without turning green.

Have a baby:
When both parents are not busy, have the father sit and watch television until he is very relaxed. Then, tell the mother to give him a back rub. Keep doing this until the father enjoys the back rub. Note: You may get denied at first, but keep trying. Once you have successfully given him a backrub, kiss him. He should fall in love; if not, keep doing this until he does. Then, have them take a Jacuzzi together. Have them sleep together that night. If nothing happens, then have them sleep together the next night also. Eventually they will have a baby. You can also do this the other way around, with the father starting it.

Second story:
Instead of placing a number of pillars to make a second story, just build a normal first floor with nothing in it, then build a second floor and delete the walls on the first floor.
