Cannon Fodder strategy

General hints

The crosshairs do not have to be on an enemy trooper to hit him with gunfire.

Buildings can be destroyed even if they cannot be seen. For instance, if a trooper is in a big gun and there is a building just off-screen roughly aim at the building, place the pointer at the edge of the screen and fire.

Beware of chain-reaction explosions.

Watch the shadow of airborne shrapnel to see where it will land. Move quickly if it is heading in the troopers' area.

Save grenades and bazookas for enemy bazookateers, installations, and BigGunz. Troopers are able to throw grenades a long way, over walls, trees, and buildings. To throw a grenade long distance, just position the pointer farther than needed.

Split off one trooper to act as a scout in dangerous areas. In missions where a lot of troopers must be controlled it may be beneficial to separate the separate the lowest ranking trooper from the rest and give him all the weapons. Make sure the remaining troops are safe, then attempt to complete the mission with the single soldier. This ensures that more troops will be saved for the remainder of the mission.

Kill enemy troops by landing on them with a Choppa. This is less dangerous and quicker than to land, disembark, and finally kill them.

Learn to control and skid Jeeps and Skidooz. In later levels, good control is needed to hit ramps at correct angles and to avoid hitting walls. This is also useful tactic to get away from shells, rockets, and grenades.

An effective way of killing snipers is to run straight towards them and shoot. Do not waste grenades unless necessary.

The Sensible Initiation
It's A Jungle Out There
Simple training mission in which all enemy troopers must be killed.


Onward Virgin Soldiers
Bridge Over The River Pie and Trash Enemy HQ
Another training mission with two phases. Learn the dangers and advantages of water. Troopers in deep water (dark blue) cannot shoot. Pick off swimming enemies and avoid swimming if there are enemy troopers nearby.
Antarctic Adventure
Blast, It's Cold
Move towards the enemy building on the east side of the map. Do not shoot the grenade crates. Wait until there are no enemy troopers nearby and run towards the grenades. After collecting the grenades, destroy all enemy buildings. A building is not considered destroyed until its door disappears.
Super Smashing Namtastic
Beachy Head
Move to the enemy building in the south-east corner of the map. Take the crate of grenades and destroy the remaining enemy buildings. If needed, more grenades may be taken from the enemy building in the north-west corner of the map.

Pier Pressure
All the troopers start off with two grenades from this point onward. Move to the end of the pier opposite the enemy building and destroy it with a grenade.

Village People
The natives are harmless unless they are harmed. Only the buildings that have doors are belong to the enemy. Avoid the dark brown quicksand area in the south-east area of the map. Note the enemy foxhole in the western area of the map above the native village. Several troopers may emerge from it.

Quicksand
There is a mine next to the quicksand patch in the north-west area of the map. Note the small white dot (claymore) and diagonal black trip wire on the ground between the bottom of the quicksand patch and the adjacent line of trees. Stand back and shoot the trip wire. Do not walk over it. The quicksand patches may be used to your advantage. Some enemy troopers may try crossing the patches and drown. The bazooka barrel that is surrounded by quicksand in the south part of the map is not reachable.


Those Vicious Vikings
The Valley of Ice
The enemy bazookateers can sometimes hit your troopers while off-screen.

Barmy Bazookas
A group of bazooka barrels is located next to the destroyed building in the south-east corner of the map. There are several enemy bazookateers that must be killed to complete the mission. Split off a single solider from the squad and have him run straight at the bazookateer. Most of the time his missiles will explode just behind the soldier. Another tactic is to use a bazooka on the enemy bazookateer before he fires. Move your soldiers immediately after firing, in case the enemy target gets off a shot before he dies. Note the enemy foxhole located to the north-east of the enemy building in the south-west area of the map.

My Beautiful Skidu
Note the bazookateers on the west side of the river. Do not enter the Skidoo unless the bazookateer west of its location has been killed. To complete the mission, only the enemy buildings need to be destroyed.


Westward Ho
The Grand Canyon
There are large holes in the bridge that spans the canyon. Move the troopers along the west side, next to the posts. There is an ammunition cache surrounded chain link fence on the south side of the canyon. Destroy the west side of the fence so the ammunition does not explode. There is a bazooka barrel located in the south-west corner of the map.

Trigger Happy
Some of the houses contain dark troopers who are more aggressive than the usual variety. Blow up these houses quickly. Ignore the bazookas perched on the very dangerous strip of cliff, the hangar, and other targets. The mission objective is to destroy the enemy buildings.


Greenland Redblood
The Slippery Stairway
There are several bazookateers guarding each island in this phase. Split off one trooper and use him to clear the path to each island, while destroying the buildings. Keep moving at all times to avoid being hit by bazookas. Use bazookas to kill enemy troopers beyond rifle range. Do not waste too many grenades, as the only place to reload is in the east side of the northern-most island. Note the foxhole in the south-west corner of the map.

Return to Reykjavik
There is a bazookateer and a foxhole on the island in the south and middle area of the map. Several enemy troopers from the foxhole in the south area of the map must be killed. All of the igloos with doors are enemy controlled. Stand away from the building in the compound when it blows up since the surrounding fence also may explode.

Evil Knievel
The first part of this phase consists of areas separated by lines of trees. A skidoo must be used to jump over ramps to reach the next area. Hit each ramp in the center to avoid crashing. Make sure the target arrow is past the tree line in order for the skidoo to land in a safe spot. The west side of the river is guarded by multiple bazookateers. After the last ramp is cleared, split off one trooper and move next to the river in the north part of the map. Keep moving to avoid the bazookateers and shoot any enemy troopers in the compound if they get in range. There is a single Eskimo wandering on the west side of the river that must not be killed. Swim across the river when safe and destroy the buildings in the compound with grenades and bazookas. Wait until the Eskimo moves away from the immediate area before destroying the buildings.


Guerrilla Warfare
Have a Nice Trip
Look closely at the ground and avoid the small round holes. A large spike will impale a trooper when they are stepped upon. Moving in very small increments may set off the spike traps without damage. There is a bazooka barrel in the north-east corner of the map. There is a claymore on the island between the bridges. Shoot the claymore to take out any surrounding enemy troopers.

Bang Bang You're Dead
When the mission begins, immediately move the troopers to the rear of the nearby enemy fort and kill the bazookateer that is standing on top of it. Then, move the squad to the north-east corner of the map. The enemy forts can not be destroyed with grenades or bazookas. The BigGun has to be used to for this task. All enemy bazookateers must be killed before the BigGun can be used. Split a single trooper off from the squad and send him to the west. Charge and kill the bazookateer that is standing above the barrels and retreat. Charge and kill the bazookateer that is standing on the fort just to the south of the barrels. Move the trooper to the rear of the fort. Move the trooper around to the front of the fort and shoot at the bazookateer standing on top of the next fort that is across the river. Return to the position behind the fort. Move the trooper to the west and position him to the right of the plant that is next to the river. Shoot the bazookateer that is standing across the river next to the fort. Swim across the river and position the trooper to the rear of the fort. Prepare a bazooka and move to the edge of the river to the left and downward. Launch the bazooka at the bazookateer that is standing on the fort across the river. Swim across the river and charge to the east to kill a bazookateer standing on the ground. Continue charging to the east to kill the bazookateer that is standing on top of the fort. Move the trooper to the south-west corner of the map and switch back to the main squad. Split off another trooper from the north-east corner of the map. Position the trooper in front of the fort and shoot the bazookateer that is across the river towards the bottom of the screen. Move next to the barrels in the north-east corner of the map. Swim across the river to the opposite bank and move down and to the left and shoot the bazookateer that is across the river towards the bottom of the screen. Kill any surrounding enemy troopers and enter the BigGun. Destroy all five forts with the BigGun. Jump out of the BigGun if it becomes surrounded. An alternative strategy is to place one trooper in the BigGun and set the remaining troopers nearby to give covering fire. Do not fire the BigGun at targets that are very near. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase.

Deliverance
Avoid the spike traps as the squad moves next to the river in the north-east region of the map. Move down along the east edge of the map to reach the bottom. Move to the west until the squad reaches a clearing with a large plant. Move behind the plant to collect fifty heat-seeking missiles. These missiles are better than bazookas since they will fly over obstacles. Move north to the river. Follow the river south on the bank on the east side. Shoot a heat-seeker at the bazookateer at the first bend. Follow the river to the west and shoot a heat-seeker at the bazookateer that is across the river at the next bend. Then, shoot a heat-seeker at the bazookateer that is directly to the south. Enter the enemy compound and destroy the buildings with heat-seekers and grenades. To find another power-up, follow the path north of the enemy compound before completing the phase. A power-up that will promote the lead soldier to General is located behind another large plant at the end of the path.

Jeep Jump
Split off a single trooper and move him south on the path. Use a grenade or bazooka shell to destroy the enemy Jeep. Move south to the edge of the cliff to the right of the hut and shoot the bazookateer that is standing on top of the fort. Charge to the east and shoot the bazookateer that is standing to the right of the hut. Move to the edge of the cliff that is directly to the south of the hut and use the bazooka to kill the bazookateer that is located near the bottom of the screen. Destroy the hut, follow the path to the north, and enter the parked Jeep. Drive the Jeep to the south to move away from the building. Exit the Jeep and destroy the building with a grenade. Re-enter the Jeep, drive it to the south and position it just below the hut. Switch back to the other squad. Send the troopers to the south-west and destroy the building. Move towards the hut and enter the Jeep. Re-form the complete squad and drive the Jeep south over the cliff and into the river. Quickly exit the Jeep and swim south to shore before it explodes. Move to the south-east corner of the map and destroy the hut. Move north towards the river to the right side of the BigGun. Charge to the south and kill the bazookateer. Move back north to the river. Charge to the west and kill the bazookateer standing on the opposite bank of the river. Cross the river to reach the west side of the map. Move south and destroy the enemy Jeep. Move back north and enter the BigGun. Shoot the enemy forts to destroy them. Exit the BigGun and move south towards the bottom of the map. Destroy the last enemy building to complete the mission.


Great Scott Good Shot
Phase 1: Round the Garden
To survive this phase, your trooper must always be kept in motion due to the danger from BigGunz and bazookateers. From the starting location, move around the tree line and shoot the enemy trooper and bazookateer. Then charge the bazookateer to the north-east. Return to the starting location and use a grenade to destroy the building. Move towards the north-east area of the map and use a grenade to destroy the building. Charge towards the south and kill the bazookateer that is near the tree line. Retreat back to the north before the BigGun can shoot and destroy the building that is in the south-east area of the map with a grenade. From a vantage point in the middle to north area of the map, run down on either side and destroy the BigGunz with the bazooka. Destroy the igloo in the center of the map and the last building towards the south and center area of the map. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase.

Phase 2: In at the Deep End
Collect the bazooka barrels from the island at the starting location. Switch to the bazooka and swim to the north-east to the next small island. While in the water, press B (3DO version), move the crosshairs over the first BigGun, and press A + B (3DO version). Your trooper will automatically fire the bazooka when he reaches shallow water. Quickly position the crosshairs over next BigGun, which to the north of the last target, and fire. Move to the north-east corner of the map and take the bazooka barrel. Move to the west towards the empty BigGun, then fire the bazooka at the BigGun that is located to the north-west of the enemy fort. Move to the rear of the fort and run left and right using each clear angle to shoot the two BigGunz that are in front of the fort. Enter the empty BigGun and destroy the fort. Swim south to the starting location on the island. Then, swim to the island that is in the south-west area of the map. Use the bazooka to destroy the BigGun in the south-west corner of the map. Swim a zigzag pattern to the south-west corner of the map and fire the bazooka at the next BigGun that is to the east of the last target. Move to the east and fire the bazooka at the two remaining BigGunz. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.


One Gigantic Dust Bowl
The Square Dance
Split off a single trooper and move him into the compound. Use a grenade to destroy the north-west building. Charge towards the center of the map and shoot the bazookateer. Do not fall in the pit between the helipad and the north-west building. Wait until the chopper lands and hit it with a grenade or the bazooka. The enemy troopers that the chopper deploys are more aggressive than the standard enemy troopers. Move the trooper south towards the south and center of the map and shoot the bazookateer that is standing on the metal hangar. Move the trooper to the other buildings inside the compound and destroy them. If needed, take the bazooka barrel and grenade crate that are located outside the fence in the southern edge of the map. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase.

Penny for the Guy
Immediately press A (3DO version) when the phase begins to move the troopers out of BigGun range. Move carefully to avoid falling off the cliffs. Then, move the troop towards the east, and then south over the bridge. Move over the bridge carefully as it contains spike traps. The safest place to cross is along the left edge. Move the troops past the metal hangar and shoot the bazooka at the BigGun that is south of the hangar. Continue moving towards the southern edge of the map and shoot another BigGun that is located next to the south-west corner of the chain link fence. The explosion from the last target will rip a hole in the fence. Send the troopers through the hole, then to the south-east corner of the map. Split one trooper from the squad and send him to the west along the bottom of the map. Move north along the white fence that surrounds the civilian compound and shoot the bazookateer. A BigGun within the compound will fire at the trooper and open a hole in the white fence. Enter the compound and destroy the BigGun. Take the bazooka barrel that is located between two of the houses. Exit the compound and follow the white fence south to the bottom of the map. Carefully move between the white fence and the cliff to reach the south-west corner of the map. Destroy the house that is inside the compound with a grenade. Move north along the white fence and destroy the BigGun that is located at the western edge of the map. Move north to the edge of the cliff and destroy any buildings that are within bazooka range. Move inside the compound and destroy more of the buildings that are across the cliff. Move to the east side of the map and destroy the last remaining buildings to complete the phase.

Tanky in the Middle
Ignore the Tanx and the BigGunz. Move the troopers to the east and destroy the two buildings. Return to the south-west corner of the map and enter the Jeep. Use the ramp directly to the north of the Jeep to jump into the middle area of the map. Keep the Jeep moving to avoid being hit by the Tank or BigGunz. Drive towards the center of the map and use the ramp between the Tank and BigGun to jump to the top area of the map. Do not shoot or drive over any civilians. Exit the jeep, move to the west, and destroy the last two buildings to complete the phase.

If It Moves, Kill It
Move all the troopers into the south-east corner of the map. The Tank will fire at the troopers and destroy the fort. Move to the south-west area of the map and destroy the building. Run a zigzag pattern up the middle of the map and shoot all the bazookateers. Ignore all other targets including enemy troopers, BigGunz, and Tanx. Move towards the north-east area of the map and destroy the building to complete the phase.

A Good Hard Tank
Press A (3DO version) when the phase begins to move the troopers away from the BigGun. Destroy the BigGun with a bazooka while moving towards the south-west corner of the map. Move to the north-west corner of the map and destroy the BigGun located in that area. Enter the Tank and destroy the buildings and remaining BigGun to complete the mission. Ignore the enemy troopers since the Tank is immune to bullets.


Jungle More Jungle
Lord of the Flies
From the starting location, move the troopers along the path that leads to the west. At the intersection with the pool and palm tree, choose the path that continues to the west. Follow the path as it bends to the south and destroy the enemy hut. Follow the path that is in front of the hut to reach the south-west corner of the screen. Enemy troopers will attempt to ambush the squad from the trees. Look closely at the foliage to avoid being surprised. Split off a single trooper and move to the west along the south edge of the map. Bypass the enemy hut and continue moving to the east. Quickly fire a bazooka at the cluster of barrels below the group of two long buildings. It will set off a chain reaction that will destroy both buildings and the BigGun. Move back to the west and destroy the enemy hut to complete the phase.

Whopper Chopper
Move to the path that runs down the west edge of the map and destroy the BigGun. Move south the path and destroy the next BigGun that is near the river. Quickly enter the Tank and shoot at the enemy Choppa's landing pad, which is a white "X" that is partially visible at the north-east corner of the screen. The enemy Choppa will drop grenades on the troopers, so begin moving if it approaches and the Tank has not been entered. Next, destroy the enemy fort that is across the river. Finally, shoot a Tank shell directly to the east. This will destroy a BigGun that is just off screen. Split off a trooper from the Tank and move him across the river, and then to the east. Quickly destroy the BigGun that is on the north bank of the river. Retreat and return to the right to destroy the BigGun that is near the civilian's hut. Do not destroy the hut. Move north and lure the enemy Tank towards the Choppa's landing pad. Switch back to the squad inside the Tank and destroy the enemy Tank. Try to kill all enemy troopers before the civilian is freed. To rescue the civilian, carefully blow up the barricade with the tank or a bazooka. Place all the troopers in the tank for protection, as the civilian may throw spears that them. The civilian will wander back into the hut in the south-east corner of the map to complete the phase.

Donkeytastic
Move west from the starting location and destroy the enemy Choppa on the landing pad. If the Choppa is in the air, move back, wait for the helicopter to land, and hit it with a bazooka. Return to the starting location and follow the path to the right of the hut that runs south. Ignore the BigGun and follow the path to the west to reach your Choppa. Land in a clearing near to each of the BigGun locations and split off a trooper to destroy them to complete the mission.


Chiller Thriller Killer
An Icicle Made for Two
Move to the south and enter the water. Move to the east while staying at the south edge of the map to avoid the enemy Skidoo. The Skidoo will ram and shoot at your troopers if they get within range. Fire a bazooka at the Skidoo when a portion of it appears in the top right corner of the screen. The Skidoo is located off-screen directly to the north of the cracked hole in the ice. Fire the bazooka again directly to the east to destroy a BigGun on the island. Continue moving to the east and enter the Tank in the south-east corner of the map. This must be done before the enemy Choppa appears and begins to drop grenades. Destroy each enemy fort to complete the phase.

Tank You Very Much
Enter the Tank at the starting location. Destroy the two enemy forts to the north and to the east of the starting location. Move to the north-east and destroy the BigGun. Move below the fort that is near the BigGun that was just destroyed. Lure the enemy Tank to approach the opposite side of the fort. It will shoot at the trooper's Tank and self-destruct. Destroy the fort that the trooper's Tank was hiding behind, and the fort to the north-east. Move westward and destroy the igloo and the BigGun that is nearby. Destroy the fort that is next to the water. Split off a trooper from the Tank and have him swim towards the northern island in a zigzag pattern. A bazookateer will fire from behind a barricade that is blocking entrance to the northern island. Try to lead the bazookateers shot into the barricade to destroy it. After the barricade is gone, quickly climb onto the northern island and kill the bazookateer and surrounding enemy troopers. Destroy the building on the northern island. The phase will end after all surviving soldiers on both islands are killed.

Death and Glory
Split off a trooper and move north to destroy the BigGun. Continue moving north and destroy the BigGun that is across the water. Move to the east and shoot at the mines floating in the water to destroy another BigGun. Swim across the water and enter the Choppa that is on the other side of the trees from the last BigGun that was destroyed. Fly back to the starting location and pick up the rest of the troopers. Fly into the barricaded compound that is in the southern area of the map and land in the clearing to the east. Split off a trooper, move to the west, shoot the bazookateer that is standing on top of the fort and enter the Tank. Destroy the fort and blow open the barricade. Drive the tank north and destroy the two forts. Swim across the water to the east and destroy the building in the south-east corner of the map. Move to the north and destroy the BigGun that is on an island in a lake. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase.

North Face of the Eiger
Split off a trooper and destroy all BigGunz along the water. Be careful when aiming near the Choppa. Enter the Choppa and fly to the top of the ridges and land in the north-east corner. Exit the Choppa and take the bullet-proof vest that is hidden behind the snowman on the right. Move to the west and enter the Tank. Destroy all enemy forts and troopers within range before driving off the ridge to reach the next lower plateau. The phase finishes after all enemy forts, buildings, and troopers have been destroyed by the Tank.

Rescue El Presidente
Split off a trooper and move south along the water. Shoot the bazooka at the BigGun on the island to the south-west of the trees. Return back to the north and quickly shoot the bazooka at the BigGun on the island at the left edge of the screen at the trees. Move the trooper to the south-east area of the map in a zigzag pattern. Enter the BigGun and destroy the enemy Tank. Move to the west and throw a grenade at the BigGun that is below the ridge. Move west again and destroy the BigGun on the island directly across from the row of trees. Swim across the water to the island and shoot the bazooka at the BigGun in the center of the northern-most island on the map. Swim across to the northern-most island and destroy the enemy building. Carefully shoot the enemy troopers without hitting the hostage. Send the surviving troopers to the helicopter at the western edge of the southern island. Fly the helicopter and land on top of the hostage. This will also kill any enemy troopers that are in the landing zone. The hostage will automatically enter the helicopter. Fly to the tent in the southern edge of the map. The hostage will walk into the tent and complete the phase.

Chill Out Iceman
Ready the bazooka and send the entire squad to the right side of the island at the starting location. Fire the bazooka at the side of the fort visible at the right edge of the screen. This will destroy the BigGun that was positioned on top of the fort. Swim east across the water to the fort. Move to the rear of the fort, and then to the east. Fire a bazooka at the BigGun that is on top of the next fort. Quickly move to the south-east and shoot the bazooka at the enemy Choppa that is on the island. Swim across to the island and split off a trooper to stand on the green pad. Move the surviving troopers back across the water to the front right corner of the factory, then move north. Shoot the bazooka at the BigGun that is across the water to the north-east. Move north next to the fort that is behind the factory, then west. Shoot the bazooka at the Big Gun that is above the factory to the west. Swim across the water to the north and split off a trooper to stand on the green pad. Move the surviving troopers to the east and place them on the green pad in the north-east area of the map. The pad will turn red and the Choppa on the helipad on top of the factory will land next to the troopers. Enter the Choppa and fly to the helipad on top of the factory. Exit the Choppa and enter the BigGun. Destroy any enemy forts that are still intact. Then, aim downward at the factory door and shoot rapidly until it is blown out. Do not aim anywhere else on the factory, or the BigGun and Choppa will be destroyed. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.


More Moors
Much Much Moor
Move the troopers to the east when the phase begins to avoid fire from the BigGun and bazookateer to the north. Note that the BigGunz that are protected by sandbags cannot be destroyed by grenade or bazooka. Another BigGun must be used for this task. Move the troopers across the river to the east, then to the north until they are in front of (but not next to) the fort. The BigGun above the fort will fire and destroy the fort. Stay in this position until the BigGun fires again and self-destructs. Move to the north of the fort, swim across the river to the west and enter the BigGun. The enemy Jeep that is on this side of the river will crash into the BigGun and self-destruct. Exit the BigGun, move to the west and destroy the building. Split off a trooper, move to the south, and shoot the bazookateer. Continue moving south in a zigzag pattern and enter the BigGun in the south-west area of the map. Quickly shoot the BigGun to the north-east. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.
Bomb Alley
It's All Mine
Move north towards the white fence. Do not shoot the fence, as there is a mine nearby that will explode and destroy the BigGun. Carefully move along the white fence and enter the BigGun. Destroy the fort that is next to the BigGun. Move to the north and shoot a bazooka at the BigGun. Move to the east and enter the BigGun that Is between the three forts. Destroy all the remaining forts to complete the phase.

Sandy Crack
Do not use the Jeep at the starting location. Send the entire squad to the south-west and fire the bazooka at the enemy Choppa on the landing pad. Then, destroy the BigGun and the building that are nearby. Send the squad towards the other buildings on the map. Destroy any BigGunz that are near before blowing up the buildings. Use caution when approaching the empty BigGunz in the north-east and south-west corners in the map as they are surrounded by mines. After all the buildings and BigGunz are destroyed, kill any surviving enemy troopers. Enter the Jeep to complete the phase.

Airlift
Enter the Choppa at the starting location and fly over the canyon to the north. Land the Choppa to the left of the building on the west end of the map. Move the entire squad out of the Choppa and move to the east. Use the bazooka to destroy all of the BigGunz. Each of the three hostages is near a building. Make sure that they are not hit by gunfire. After all the BigGunz have been destroyed, return to the Choppa. Fly to each building and land on top of the hostage. This will kill the hostage's guard. Take off and land again on any enemy troopers that may be too close to the hostage. After all three hostages have been brought aboard, fly back to the helipad south of the canyon. Exit the Choppa and move to the tent. The mission will end when all hostages follow the troopers into the tent.


Get Orf Moi Laand
Sheep Dip
Immediately move to the west when the phase begins to avoid fire from the BigGunz. Move north along the hedge and kill any enemy troopers. Take care not to shoot any civilians. Note that the civilians will shoot at the troopers, especially if any sheep have been killed. Follow the hedge to the west and enter the opening to the south. Move to the east and enter the Choppa. Avoid the spike trap that is to the south of the Choppa's location. Fly to the north-east corner of the map and land in the clearing south of the Tank. Avoid the spike trap and enter the Tank. Drive the Tank to the west and move down until it just enters the path to the south. Shoot at the ground just in front of the first BigGun to destroy it. Move the pointer to the bottom of the screen and drive the Tank to that point. As the Tank moves, quickly shoot at the two remaining BigGunz to the west. Use the Tank to destroy the fort. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase.

Chocs Away Chappies
Swim to the east from the starting location. Move towards the bridge to the east and shoot the bazookateer that is hidden in the trees to the north. Shoot the sheep that is in front of the bridge. It is a trap that will explode if approached. Move across the bridge and take the box of grenades. Move to the north and destroy the building. Move to the north-east corner of the map and enter the Choppa. Fly to the south-west corner of the map and land the Choppa in the clearing to the south of the fort. Split off a trooper and move north just in front of the fort. The BigGun to the rear of the fort will fire and destroy the fort and self-destruct. Move north to a point between the empty BigGun and the recently destroyed BigGun. Throw grenades over the tree line to take out the group of bazookateers. Run to the north and charge any surviving bazookateers. Enter the BigGun and destroy the two remaining enemy forts to complete the phase.

A Bridge Too Far
Move north from the starting location and enter the Choppa. Fly to the north until the Choppa passes over the enemy Jeep. Lure the Jeep off the road until it becomes stuck next the water below the bridge. Land the Choppa near the fort and the BigGun that is south of the Jeep. Exit the Choppa and enter the BigGun. Destroy the Jeep and the fort. Enter the Choppa and fly to the south edge of the map and land near the enemy building. Exit the Choppa and destroy the building. Enter the Choppa and fly to the west edge of the map. Enter the BigGun and shoot the enemy BigGun to the north-east of this location. Enter the Choppa and fly to the north-west area of the map. Locate the enemy Tank and land near the BigGun that is across the water to the south of the tank. Enter the BigGun and quickly destroy the Tank. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.


Going Underground
Eton Rifles
This is the first mission that is executed inside a large underground enemy complex. Doors with cracked walls above them can be destroyed with a grenade or the bazooka to create an opening to the other side. Note that the door must be completely destroyed with no rubble on the floor for the troopers to pass. The "buildings" in the underground complex consist of any room or area with a closed door. Move south from the starting location. Turn west, charge and kill the two bazookateers. Then, turn around and move east. Destroy the door to the north and move into the next room. Destroy the western door and enter the room. Take the grenade box and destroy the closed door on the north wall. Leave the room and destroy the door to the east. Enter the large room and charge the bazookateer in the south-east corner of the room. Do not fire when standing next to the bumps on the floor. Some of the bumps are mines that will explode. Destroy the door on the south wall and enter the next area. Move south, then to the west and destroy the door that is on the long wall to the north. Charge to the north-west and kill the bazookateer without destroying the nearby bazooka barrel. Move to the south-west corner of the level and kill the bazookateer. Enter the opening between the black rock and the wall that runs along the west edge of the map. Move to the north of this open area and take the grenade box. Return to the south-west corner of the map and move north along the west edge. Charge the bazookateer in the north-west area of the map. Split off a trooper and climb the ladder. Move the to the east, take the bazooka barrel, and continue moving to the east. Shoot the enemy troopers that are trapped in the room. Try to shoot the bazookateer that is next to the east wall first. Destroy the door on the north wall of the room. Move to the west and climb down the ladder. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.

Sewers Canal
The doors marked with a diagonal white stripe can only be destroyed with a BigGun. Move west from the starting location and swim across the green slime pool to the ladder. Climb up the ladder and move to the west. Destroy the door in the north wall of the room. Climb the stairs to the north. Charge to the east and kill the bazookateer. Move south and east into the next area and enter the BigGun. Destroy the two doors to complete the mission.


The Moor The Merrier
No Way In
Note the stick traps that are present in this mission. Move to the east and destroy the cottage. Move south-east and cross the river at a point above the trees that are next to the bridge. Move east along the road and enter the path that continues to the east just below the roadblock. Follow the path south and kill the bazookateer. Then continue to follow the path to the south and west. Enter the Tank and drive away from the building before destroying it. Drive the tank back up the path to the north and destroy the roadblock. Continue driving north up the road, then turn to the west in front of the cottage. Shoot between the hedges to destroy the cottage, then continue driving to the west. Drive over the broken bridge to cross the stream. Shoot the corner of the building that is furthest away from the hostage to destroy it. Run over any enemy troopers in the immediate area. The hostage will not be killed if driven over by the Tank. The hostage will enter the Tank after the surrounding enemy troopers have been killed. Drive back over the broken bridge and return to the road. Drive north along the road and turn to the east to kill the enemy bazookateer in the clearing. Drive back south along the road and stop before the road continues to the west. Split the squad and leave one trooper in the Tank. Drive the Tank across the bridge and quickly shoot at the BigGun to the south-west when the turret clears the bridge. Move the entire squad to the west end of the bridge. Send a single trooper to the south along the stream. Cross to the east side of the stream on the piece of land along the south edge of the map. Charge to the east and kill the bazookateer that is standing in front of the tank. Move the remainder of the squad and the hostage to the tent. Kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.
Underpants Electric
Take Your Partners
It is essential that all ammunition be conserved during this mission. At the starting location, split off a trooper with no ammunition and move him south, and then to the west to move around the black rock. Move north and enter the BigGun and quickly fire at the enemy BigGun. Fire at the corner of the building visible in the top left corner of the screen. Reform the squad and move to the position of the BigGun that was just destroyed. Throw four grenades at the strong barrier to the south to completely destroy it. There are several of these strong barriers throughout the phase that must be destroyed in the same manner. Move south and east to enter the first hostage area. Move to the south part of the hostage area and take the bazooka barrel. Completely destroy the strong barricade and move south. Take the bazooka barrel in the south part of the next area. Return to the first hostage area in the north. Aim to the east and shoot the enemy guard that is next to the green slime pool. The first hostage will now follow the troopers if there are no additional enemy troopers in the surrounding area. Return back to the starting location and move south along the narrow walkway next to the green slime pool. Completely destroy the two barricades next to the green slime pool, move south, and then east. Split off a single trooper with no ammunition, destroy the doorway, and enter the area to the north. Charge to the north-east and kill the bazookateer that is standing on the crate. Enter the BigGun and destroy the white striped door to the north. Fire the BigGun again at the large barrier to the south. Exit the BigGun, charge into the next area to the south, and kill the bazookateer. Enter the BigGun in this area and destroy the white striped door to the north. Re-group the squad and move the hostages to the tent that is in north-west corner of this area to complete the phase. If necessary, kill any enemy troopers in the immediate vicinity in order for the hostages to follow the troopers.

The Scroungers
Ignore the Jeep that is in the south-west corner of the map. The Jeep easily kills civilians by accident, which will immediately fail the phase. Move the entire squad north from the starting location. Some of the civilians will fire on the troopers. Try to move quickly and do not return fire. Climb the stairs and move north through the small opening in the west. Enter the BigGun after all surrounding enemy troopers have been killed. Destroy the two white striped doors and one normal door on the enemy buildings to complete the phase.

Plenty Of Room
Split off a single trooper from the squad and destroy the doorway to the north of the starting location. Enter the area to the north and move to the east end. Throw a grenade to destroy the doorway to the north. Time the grenade attack to when the enemy Jeep is nearby to eliminate both targets at once. Return to the starting location and move to the east. Destroy the doorway to the right of the white striped door with a grenade. Once again, time the grenade attack to also eliminate the enemy Jeep. Move north into the next area and move to the west end to force the enemy BigGun to fire and self-destruct. Destroy the doorway on north wall in the west end. Enter the room and destroy the doorway to the right of the white striped door. Enter the room and kill the guard. Leave the hostage in the room and move back to the south to the room below the destroyed BigGun. Blow up the doorway to the south of destroyed Big Gun and enter the room. Destroy the left doorway on the north wall and take the bazooka barrel. Return to the room that contains the destroyed enemy BigGun. Destroy the right doorway on the north wall and enter the Choppa. Fly to the room in the north-east corner of the map. Land on top of the guard to kill him. The hostage will enter the Choppa. Fly the Choppa to the next room to the south and west. Land the Choppa to collect the next hostage from the room to the north. Fly the Choppa west and land on top of the guard that is holding the last hostage. After the hostage enters the Choppa, fly to the adjacent room to the east and land. Exit the Choppa and move over the tent. The hostages will follow the trooper to the tent to complete the phase.

Franz Klammer
Move to the south and west when the phase begins to avoid fire from a BigGun. Split off a single trooper and enter the empty BigGun to the south-east. Quickly shoot the enemy BigGun to the north-east. Re-group the squad and swim across the green slime pool to the west. Enter the Jeep, drive east, and use the ramp to jump back over the green slime pool. Drive the Jeep to the east, making sure it is always moving to avoid fire from the BigGunz. The Jeep will have to move in a zigzag pattern around the walls of the enemy buildings. Use the ramp to jump across the green slime at the east end of the map. Stay inside the jeep and run over or shoot the enemy troopers. After the hostage enters the Jeep, use the ramp to jump back over the green slime to the west. Drive the Jeep back to the tent next to the green slime at the west part of the map. Exit the Jeep and walk over the tent. The hostage will follow the troopers and complete the phase.

The Doors
Enter the jeep at the starting location and drive to the north along the east edge of the map. Drive west in front of the doors while avoiding enemy fire by zigzagging. There is a white striped door in the east end of the map. It is the fourth door from the left edge of the map. Park the Jeep in front of the white striped door and exit. Destroy the doorway to the right of the white striped door. Move north and completely destroy the strong barricade. Move to the north end of the room and enter the Choppa. This Choppa can fire heat seeking missiles. Fly over the map and destroy all white striped doors, Tanx, and enemy troopers to complete the mission.


Diablo Downstairs
Look Out
Split off two troopers and move north-west to reach the group of crates and barrels. Position the troopers to the left side of the crate on the west end of the group. Throw a grenade at the enemy Jeep when it approaches to destroy it. Move the troopers to the east and place them on the green pad. Move the remainder of the squad to the south-west in a zigzag pattern to avoid fire from the BigGun. Try to run away from the enemy Choppa if it approaches. Split off two troopers on the green pad in front of the fort. Send the last two troopers to the west, then to the north to the last green pad. The Choppa from the building at the starting location will fly down to the pad after it turns red. Enter the Choppa, which can fire heat-seeking missiles, and take off. Destroy all enemy buildings, troopers, BigGunz, and the Choppa to complete the mission. To shoot down the enemy Choppa, approach it very closely and shoot a heat-seeker.
Moors The Pity
Tank Top
Move east from the starting location and destroy the enemy building. Follow the path all the way to the west, then move south. Destroy the enemy building at the intersection. Continue moving south down the path that is along the west edge of the map, then turn east along the bottom edge of the map. Destroy the enemy building in the clearing. Move along the path that circles the clearing to the north and follow it to the river. Follow the river bank to the north and enter the path that opens to the west. Keep moving to avoid the fire from the BigGun across the river. Follow the path as it runs to the north and then to the east. Avoid the two stick traps and collect the trooper power-up at the end of the path. This will give one of the troopers the rank of General, 50 heat-seeking missiles, and a bullet proof vest. Use a heat-seeker to destroy the building that is in the clearing next to the river. Return to the river and follow the path that leads west and turn north at the first intersection. Charge to the north and kill the bazookateer. Follow the path as it turns to the east and enter the Tank. Drive the Tank down the paths to the bridge. Cross the bridge and drive to the north. Destroy the enemy fort with the Tank. Drive south and quickly destroy the last enemy fort before the BigGun fires to complete the phase.

Tanktastic
Enter the Tank at the starting location and move east along the road. Fire north at the enemy tank when the turret clears the buildings. Fire at the house at the north-east corner of the intersection near the starting location. Drive the Tank along the road that runs north from the starting location. At the intersection, destroy the house in the north-west of the next intersection. Move between the houses that are to the west of the roadblock. An enemy Tank at the roadblock will fire and self-destruct. Drive to the road that runs south from the roadblock and follow it to an intersection. Turn east and move to the left side of the house that is north of the road. Split off a single trooper, move to the north-east and destroy the enemy building. Return to the tank and re-group the squad after determining the location of the enemy Tank that is east of the house that is north of the road. Try to lure the enemy Tank to approach the house and fire to self-destruct. Fire at the house to destroy it. Drive the tank east on the road and fire at the BigGun to the south-west. Turn around and drive west on the road to the intersection. Cross the intersection and turn south at the next intersection. The tank should be traveling on the road that is to the west side of the house surrounded by a hedge. Fire at the enemy Tank to the west when the turret clears the houses. Fire at the house that was next to the Tank that was just destroyed. Turn east on the road that is below the house that is surrounded by a hedge. Split off a trooper and throw a grenade at the house that is surrounded by a hedge. Move the trooper south across the road and position him in front of the two houses that are next to each other. Move the trooper back to the road, then continue east to the river. Cross the river and follow the east bank towards the south. Enter the clearing in the south-east corner of the map and destroy the building. Return to the river and move north to the point where the west bank ends. Swim across the river and move south at the beginning of the west bank. Charge into the path to the west to kill the bazookateer. Continue moving down the path to the west and south and destroy the building that is in the clearing to complete the phase.

The Great Escape
Enter the Choppa at the starting location and fly towards the north-east corner of the map. Drop a grenade on the enemy Choppa while it is on the ground. Fly to the end of the road in the south-west area of the large island. Destroy the enemy building. Fly to the west edge of the map and land next to the Tank after killing the bazookateer. Split a trooper and move him into the Tank. Use the Choppa to spot targets and to draw fire for the Tank. Drive the Tank to the north and destroy the barricade that blocks the road. Drive east on the road and shoot the BigGun on the island to the south-east when it appears. Destroy the next barrier on the road and follow the road to the east, then south. Destroy the BigGunz that are next to the first intersection. Follow the road to the east and destroy the enemy fort to the north. Return to the intersection and follow the road to the south. Fire at the enemy fort to the north-east when the Tank reaches the bridge to complete the phase.

Whoopeee
Enter the Jeep at the starting location and drive south along the west edge of the map. Run over the bazookateer that is near the empty BigGun and stop the Jeep in the south-west corner of the map. Split off a trooper, have him enter the empty BigGun, and fire across the river at the enemy BigGun. Re-group the squad and cross the river Move to the clearing in south-east corner of the map and enter the Choppa. This Choppa is equipped with heat-seeking missiles. Use them to destroy the remaining buildings, forts, troopers, and BigGunz to complete the mission.


Explore My Hole
Too Much Man
Hug the wall to the east and move north to avoid detonating the mines at the starting location. Shoot your way to the stairs at the east end of the level. Climb the stairs and enter the BigGun. Destroy the four white striped doors and surviving enemy troopers to complete the mission.
Desert Disaster
Rocket Man
Immediately enter the Choppa at the starting location when the phase begins. Fly to the south-east corner of the map and destroy the enemy Choppa with the heat-seeking missiles while it is on the ground. Use the heat-seeking missiles to destroy all the BigGunz and forts, and enemy troopers. The heat-seekers will not harm the hostages. After all enemy targets have been eliminated, land and collect both hostages. Fly to the tent in the north-east area of the map and land. Move the trooper over the tent and the hostages will follow to complete the mission.

Running Out Of Ideas
From the starting location, move to the top left corner of the house and throw a grenade at the enemy Choppa. Charge to the south and kill the bazookateer. Destroy the enemy building as the trooper continues to move south. Move to the left side of the fort at the west edge of the map. Shoot to the south the detonate a mine and enter the BigGun to the south of the fort. Quickly destroy the enemy BigGun to the south-east. Shoot at the fort to the north, and at the top right corner of the screen to destroy another fort. Exit the BigGun and kill any surviving enemy troopers to complete the phase. An alternate strategy to complete the phase is to zigzag towards the enemy BigGun and pick up the power-up that is next to it. This will allow your trooper to be invincible for the duration of the phase.

And They're Off
This phase relies on precise timing and luck for success. If the enemy Jeep hits any wandering civilians along the road to the south, the phase will immediately end. Enter the Jeep and quickly drive to the east, stopping just short of the white fence. Exit the Jeep and throw a grenade at the fence. Enter the Jeep and quickly resume driving to the east. Stop just short of the next white fence and destroy it with a grenade. Enter the Jeep and quickly resume driving to the east. Stop just short of the next white fence and destroy it with the bazooka. Enter the Jeep, drive to the east, and enter the BigGun at the end of the gorge. Shoot the enemy Jeep as it approaches while avoiding civilian casualties to complete the phase.

Go For It
Move to the left and enter the Choppa when the phase begins. Destroy all enemy targets, including the enemy Choppa, to complete the mission.


Moors Et Mortem
Sheep Shearer's Delight
From the starting location, move south-east past the fort and enter the BigGun. Destroy the fort and both roadblocks. Exit the BigGun, move through the roadblock to the south and enter the Choppa in the south-west area of the map. Fly to the north-east area of the map and land next to the Tank. Split off a trooper and have him enter the Tank. Destroy the roadblock to the south. Switch to the Choppa and fly to the area just below the roadblock. Locate the two enemy Tanx in this area. Use the Choppa to draw their fire as the Tank enters the area and destroys both targets to complete the phase.

Ireland Records
From the starting location, swim to the north-east peninsula. Ignore the fort and move to the south end of the peninsula. Enter the water and swim south to the island with the empty BigGun. Enter the BigGun and aim at the lower-right edge of the screen to destroy the enemy Choppa. If needed, wait for the enemy Choppa to land. Swim to the small island to the south-west. Swim to the large island to the west. Move along the north end of the island and swim across to the empty BigGun to the north-west. Quickly shoot the enemy BigGun to the south-east. Swim to the island in the south-west corner of the map and enter the Choppa. Fly over and destroy all remaining enemy targets with heat-seeking missiles to complete the phase.

Gawd Help Me
Immediately enter the Choppa and bomb the enemy Choppa on the island to the north-east of the starting location. Fly west and bomb the enemy Choppa on the next island to complete the phase.

Chopper Crazy
Move south along the river from the starting location and shoot the bazookateer standing on the west bank. Swim across the river to reach the Choppa in the south-east corner of the map. Fly over to the nearby clearing to the north-east that has a second Choppa. Land to the west of the clearing. Charge into the clearing and kill the bazookateer that is hidden next to the trees. Enter the second Choppa, which is equipped with heat-seeking missiles. Find and destroy the enemy buildings to complete the phase.

Stop The Pigeon
Quickly island hop to the north and enter the Choppa. Note the mines and stick traps on the islands. Immediately fly to the south-west corner of the map and destroy the two enemy Choppas. Then, find and destroy the two BigGunz on the islands to complete the mission.


Bomb The Base
Save That Scumbag
Move to the south-east corner of the map and enter the Tank. Drive the Tank north over the bridge into the central area of the map. Destroy all of the BigGunz to complete the phase. The tank must be kept moving while shooting the BigGunz.

One Man Three Choppers
Move through the maze towards to the north-east corner of the map. Enter the Choppa and destroy all the white striped doors to complete the phase.

A Watery Grave
Enter the Choppa at the starting location and fly north. Fly over the bazookateer standing on the island surrounded by mines. The enemy troopers will shoot at the Choppa and set off the mines, which will kill the bazookateer. Land on the narrow ledge at the north end of the map. Finding the correct location is difficult, but possible. Destroy the two doors and kill the enemy troopers to complete the phase.

System Off
Immediately move the troopers to the north-east corner of the map and enter the Choppa. Quickly fly to the north-west corner of the map and destroy the enemy Choppa. Then, quickly fly to the south-west corner of the map and destroy a second enemy Choppa. Locate and quickly destroy the BigGunz that are equipped with heat-seeking missiles. These missiles are capable of destroying the Choppa. If a missile has locked onto the Choppa, keep moving. After gaining some distance, turn around and shoot a rocket at the missile. The resulting explosion may destroy the missile. After the BigGunz have been destroyed, pick off any surviving enemy troops. Then, fly towards the computer that appears as a multi-colored dome on top of the building in the center of the map. Several shots must be fired to destroy the dome.

Stick Em Up Cod Breath
Send the entire squad south and swim across the green slime. Move south and into the opening to the west. Quickly move past the two BigGunz and enter the Choppa. Find and destroy all the BigGunz, white striped doors, and the computer brain. Pick off any surviving enemy troopers before landing next to the enemy leader. Land on top of the leader and he will enter the Choppa. Fly to the tent in the north. Move the troopers over the tent. The leader will walk into the tent and complete the phase.

Donkeydeathtasticelastic
This mission is especially difficult due to the fact that it must be completed within 99 seconds. Additionally, there is no map available. Because of the time limit, the squad must be split into three groups, with each performing specific tasks simultaneously. From the starting location, send all the troopers south into the green slime. Split off a single trooper (Squad 1) and give him all the weapons. Move him into the center of the ladder to the left of the ladder that leads back to the starting location. Send the remainder of the squad towards the slime to the north of the computer brain. Have Squad 1 destroy the strong barriers with four consecutive grenade attacks. Move the remainder of the squad to the west of the computer brain and split them into two squads (Squads 2 and 3) consisting of two troopers each. Move Squad 1 to the north and destroy the next two strong barricades. Send Squad 2 swimming towards the ladder in the east. Send Squad 3 swimming towards to the south-east. Have Squad 1 run to the left of the striped door. A BigGun to the west will fire and self-destruct. This must occur for Squad 2 to complete its task. Have Squad 1 destroy the last remaining strong barricade with four consecutive grenade and bazooka volleys. Send Squad 3 swimming south towards the edge of the map. Send Squad 2 up the ladder and move them into the empty BigGun in the north-east. Immediately fire at the BigGun in the north-east, then at the adjacent white-striped door. Exit from the BigGun and move over the green pad. Move Squad 1 onto the green pad to the south. Move Squad 3 to the west towards the ladder. Move up the ladder slightly and shoot at the top of the ladder to explode a mine. Climb up the rest of the way and move to the green pad. If all three pads are active, they will turn red. A Choppa will fly to the last pad activated. Enter the Choppa and quickly destroy all doors and the computer brain to complete the game.
