Guardian Force locations: Information in this section was contributed
by Ilyana C and Aaron Bluhm.
Alexander Draw from Edea at the end of Disc 2.
Bahamut Go to Battleship Island (in the lower left part of the world
map). You must have the Ragnorak. Land there and go inside. Walk
only when the light is not flashing. Head to the core. Bahamut
will ask questions. First, answer "It's not our will to fight".
Battle the Ruby Dragon, then answer "Never". Battle
another Ruby Dragon, then answer "It's our nature".
It is the third choice; hidden under "None of your business".
Defeat Bahamut and he will join you.
Brothers Defeat them in The "Tomb of the Unkown King" outside
Deling.
Cactuar Use Ragnarok to fly to the island on the outside of a desert;
you will see a cactus teleporting around. Walk up to it. Be careful,
as its 10,000 needles do 100,000 damage.
Carbuncle Draw from Gargoyle/Lizard bosses attacking Rinoa at end of
Disc 1.
Cerberus Draw from Cerberus during the Galbadia Garden invasion. He
is at the center glowing circle near the entrance. Alternately,
defeat him in Galbadia Garden during Disc 2.
Chocobo Catch and name a Chocobo, then use Item Gysahl Greens during
a battle.
Diablos Before going to Timber, talk to headmaster Cid until you get
the Magic Lamp. Save the game, use the lamp, and defeat Diablos.
Draw and store Demi then cast it. Do not draw and immediately
cast, as he will not cast Curaga on your character.
Doomtrain Get the "Solomons Ring" from Tears Point before
Lunatic Pandora is summoned. A recommended time to do so is right
before you are supposed to meet Dr. Odine at the Launch Pad. Then,
"Mug" Marlboros outside the Sorceress Shrine until you
have six Marlboro Tentacles. Note: Marlboros are also at the Island
Closest to Heaven. Purchase 60 Remedies and use Alexander's "Med
Lev Up" skill to make six Remedy+s. Get six Iron Pipes by
using "Mug on the yellow/green monkey monsters outside Deling.
Note: If you cannot get back to Deling you may have to wait until
after you have the Ragnarok to obtain them. After getting all
the items use the Solomon Ring from the item menu to receive Doomtrain.
To get Doomtrain, go to Tears Point. And you will find a ring
called Solomon Ring at Tear's Point in Esther. You will also need
six of the following items. Malboro Tentacles, Remedy +, and Steel
Pipes. Then, go to your item menu and select the item Solomon
Ring. Once you select this, Solomon will automatically join you.
You do not need to battle him. Solomon's useful abilities are
Elem-Atk-j, ST-Atk-j, Elem-Def-Jx4, and Def-Jx4. Another great
ability is Forbid Med-RF. It is difficult to get the items for
it. Junk Shop is a bit more practical, but should not really be
a priority until Disc 4.
Information in this section was contributed by Laura Berry.
Eden After defeating Bahamut, return to the Ragnorak and enter
the cockpit. Return to Battleship Island with Zell in your party.
Go down the roots and examine the machine. After it uses the 4
RSP, go down a level. Use 1 RSP on every level until you reach
the machinery which Zell ask to handle. Let him and he will open
the door to the excavation site. Prepare for some very hard battles
and go down to the very end. You should have at least 10 RSP.
Activate the machine to battle Ultima Weapon. Draw Eden from it.
Gilgamesh Get Odin before the end of Disc 3 and Seifer will kill him.
Gilgamesh will replace him.
Ifrit Defeat him in the Fire Cavern outside Balamb Garden as part
of the test.
Leviathan Draw from NORG after destroying his pods.
Minimog (PocketStation required) Receive Minimog during "Chocobo
Adventure" PocketStation mini-game.
Pandemona Draw from Fuijin in the battle with Fuijin and Raijin in Balamb
Town.
Phoenix Use the Phoenix Pinion item during a battle.
Quezacotl From Squall's computer in the classroom at the start of the
game.
Shiva From Squall's computer in the classroom at the start of the
game.
Siren Draw from the Boss at the top of Dollet Satellite during the
SeeD exam.
Tonberry Defeat Odin. Then fight 20 Tonberrys at top of elevator or
open place, not at torch lit place at its base. You will fight
the Tonberry King.
Drawing GFs: One of the most commonly overlooked things to do in
a heated battle is drawing from Bosses. By using the Draw command,
you may find a hidden GF in a Boss. Try drawing from the Evorlet
in disc 1 to find Siren. Draw Leviathan from Norg in disc 2. Draw
Pandemonia during the battle with Fujin and Rajin in disc 2. Draw
Alexander from Edea during the second battle with her. Draw Eden
from Ultima Weapon on the artificial island where Bahumut was
defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by Habeb31,
Alex42557, and DAAMAN1017.
Bahamut and Eden: Once the Ragnarok is obtained, fly to the bottom left
corner of the world map. Set down on the landing spot to find
a small artificial island. Enter and defeat Bahumut to obtain
that GF.
Information in this section was contributed by DAAMAN1017.
Defeating Bahumut: Get your Str up to 255, junction GF Cactuar, and learn
the Kamikazi ability. Kill the three dragons using Aura and Diablos,
as it takes 9999 off of them. Simply cure to full health if any
health is lost and Kamikazi yourself. It will take 60,000 damage
and defeat Bahumut.
Information in this section was contributed by Jordan Craw.
Fly to the research center in the southwest bottom corner of the
map if you have not been there before. Zell will say something
when he is finished. Go in. Note: You must be at level 80 or above
and have Ragnorok. When you defeat three Ruby Dragons and another
message appears, press Triangle. Put Aura on Irvine and
use AP or Pulse ammunition. About nine or eleven shots will kill
him.
Information in this section was contributed by Ssppaacceemmaann.
Getting Brothers: Go to the east of Delling City to the Tomb Of The Unknown
King. Use the following directions straight from going into the
tomb.
Information in this section was contributed by Jordan Craw.
Go forward once, then turn right.
Take the turn, then take a right.
Go up once, and take a right. Then, go forward until you fight
Sacred.
After defeating Sacred, go out of the room and go forward once.
Take a right, go around the turn, then take a right.
Go forward and take a right. Keep going forward and release the
flood gate.
Leave the room and go forward until you reach a dead end.
Go back once and take a left.
Go forward twice and take a left.
Go until you can take a right and do so.
Go forward twice and activate the switch in the back.
Go out of the room and go forward to the dead end.
Go back to the first junction.
Take a left and keep taking lefts until you find a drawbridge.
Go across the bridge and battle Sacred and Minotaur. Defeat them
and they will join you.
Summoning Carbuncle quickly: Get the Dragon Skin item to decrease the summoning
time for Carbuncle.
Information in this section was contributed by Josh Montgomery.
Choosing Gilgamesh's sword: In any battle that Gilgamesh is summoned, when his
four swords come down from the sky and stick into the ground,
rapidly press the D-pad toward the sword you want him to
use. If done correctly, he will use that sword.
Information in this section was contributed by Patricklegion05.
Defeating Cerebus: If you have Squall's Gunblade, take at least 1000 damage
with or with out pressing R1. Cast Mad Rush on everyone
and take heavy blows on him. Make sure that your HP levels are
fairly high, and your other party members are able to take at
least 400 of damage.
Information in this section was contributed by XXLmuska3.
Defeating Diablos: First, cast Blind on him. Follow this by drawing Demi
spell into your inventory. From your spell inventory, cast the
Demis on Diablos. Diablos will respond by casting Curaga on that
character. Note: This will not work if you do not stock his Demis.
Information in this section was contributed by Joe
and Crusader630, C L,
Jason Walsh, shishaklyr,
and others.
Cast Protect and Shell on your characters and then use the Siren,
Shiva and Queezacotl GF.
Information in this section was contributed by Armageddon1030.
After getting the Lamp from Headmaster Cid and using it, make
sure your party has Draw equiped. When fighting Diablos, use draw
to get ?????. It is Demi. Keep casting Demi on Diablos until it
does almost no damage, then use some of your GFs to defeat him.
Information in this section was contributed by Kendall18b.
Wait until you get Carbuncle from the Iguions, then fight Diablos.
When you start the battle, automatically take out Carbuncle so
he will use Reflect then use Blind so he will not ram you when
he is mad. Next, summon Shiva a couple of times. After that, he
will use Demi which is very effective against him. Use your GFs
or Scan Diablos to see how many times you have to hit him.
Information in this section was contributed by Raincheck738.
When you are ready to use the magical lamp and fight Diablos,
make sure you have Quistis with the Missile limit break acquired
by using the Missile item. When in the battle, have Quistis limit
break. Use the Missile limit break and it can do as much 9,999
HP damage. The least amount of damage should be about 3,200 HP.
Diablos only has about 21,000 HP.
Information in this section was contributed by James Sperry.
Summoning Diablos quickly: Get the Steel Orb item to decrease the summoning time
for Diablos.
Information in this section was contributed by Josh Montgomery.
Getting Eden easily: Do not worry about the Ultimate Weapon if you have
reached Disc 4. Go through the Bosses in Ultimecia's castle as
intended. When you reach Tiamat, you can draw Eden from him without
having to go through the Ultimate Weapon. You can also draw Leviathan
and Siren from the Bosses in Ultimecia's Castle.
Information in this section was contributed by Michael Brown
and Riven Boy.
Make sure you have Auras and Lion Heart. Once you find your way
to the Ultima Weapon, save at the secret save point. When you
enter the battle, draw Eden immediately. Then use Aura on Squall
and use his limit break. If the final is Lion Heart, and results
9999 damage per hit, Ultima Weapon will be defeated. You may want
to use Light Pillar on each character because Ultima Weapon's
speed is incredible.
Information in this section was contributed by mefford445.
Do over 9999 damage with Eden: Get Eden on a hidden island at the bottom left corner
of the map. Draw Eden from Ultima Weapon. After getting Eden,
let it learn the Boost ability. After that, fight any monster
and keep pressing Square. Get to 250 times by pressing
Square. After that, keeping pressing Square, but
the number will not increase. Wait until you cannot boost any
further and watch the damage. It should be between 19,000 to 36,000,
depending on what Eden's level.
Information in this section was contributed by KrAZi3KAmbO562.
Defeating Ifrit: Go to the forest outside the fire cavern and draw Blizzard
from the caterpillar creature. When going to battle Ifrit, make
sure one of the abilities for the character with Blizzard has
the ability Magic and the other has Shiva equipped. When fighting
him. use the Blizzards and summon Shiva simultaneously.
Information in this section was contributed by Crusader630.
Getting Ifrit's Calling Card: Enter the Fire Cavern and choose a 30 minute time limit.
Have a character with Shiva and another character with Lightning
before reaching Ifrit. Keep the character with Shiva attacking
while the other character casts Lightning.
Information in this section was contributed by Chrono Man.
Defeating Jumbo Cactuar: Have 3000+ HP, and a weapon that takes at least 1000-2000
damage. First, cast Cerberus, and have Triple available. Cast
three protects on your party as well as Regen. Cast Berserk and
Haste on the person who has the best attack and weapon. That character
will take about 9999+ before Cactuar uses 10,000 needles. Cast
Full-Life on the character that was killed, then cast Aura on
your party. Keep attacking with everything available until Jumbo
Cactuar is defeated. To help even more, junction Ultima to Rinoa's
Mag to increase it over 100+, then cast Angel Wing. If she casts
Meteor it will take off 4000 to 5000+ with each hit.
Information in this section was contributed by Jordan Craw.
Junction all your character's weapons with 100 Water magic and
have their strength at 255, and body strength at 200. Have Life
2 magic or Alexander's Revive on every character. Have Meltdown
and Magic Command equipped on one character. Enter the battle.
Cast Meltdown on the Cactuar, then just attack. You should deal
9999 damage on each turn. After ten hits, Jumbo Cactuar should
be defeated. For an easier battle, cast Meltdown first, then use
Renzokuken. One turn will be enough. Do not worry about his 10000
Needles attack, as you should have Recovery or Life 2. Revive
the dead character and keep attacking.
Information in this section was contributed by Sara Zampolli.
This battle is about quick thinking and timed attacks. The party
you should use should have Squall, Rinoa, and Quistis. If you
have been training Zell instead of Quistis, you can substitute
him for her. In preparation for this battle, have Squall's strength
anywhere above 200, and have his attack junctioned with Water.
You also must have the Lion Heart Limit Break and have him equipped
with the Darkside Command. Rinoa should have plenty of Aura spells
and either Recover or Revive. The character that does not have
Revive must have plenty of Life and Full Life spells. Quistis
should have which ever Command Rinoa does not have. She should
also have plenty of Aura spells. Quistis also must have the Blue
Magic Mighty Guard, which can be obtained from Behemoths in the
Deep Sea Research Center. Save on the island, and then run into
the giant green Cactaur to begin the battle. Jumbo Cactaur has
one main counterattack called 10,000 needles which brings you
to instant death. When this happens, quickly get Quistis or Rinoa
to revive the downed character. With your party fully revived,
have Rinoa cast Aura on Quistis so she can do Mighty Guard. Then
have Squall do Darkside on the Cactaur. Since Water is junctioned
to his attack, the damage will be 9,999. The Cactaur also cannot
counterattack it. When Rinoa's bar fills up again, have her cast
Aura on Squall so he can hopefully do Lion Heart, which will most
likely finish him off in two turns. Do this for the rest of the
battle, while still having Quistis cast Mighty Guard and Rinoa
act as a medic. When a screen appears and states that Cactaur
is Hesitating, stop any attacks that bring damage to him, with
the exception of Lion Heart. If you manage to destroy all 600,000
HP and not have him run away, you will unlock him as a GF.
Information in this section was contributed by Gonzo_88.
Getting Gilgamesh: Get Odin before the battle with Seifer on Disc 3. As
soon as you have control of the mobile Balamb Garden, fly to the
Centra Crater and you should find the Centra Ruins. A clock will
start upon entering, and you must find and defeat Odin within
the time set. After defeating him, he will show up often at the
beginning of difficult battles (apart from Boss and GF battles).
Storm clouds form in the sky and rain falls down. Odin will approach
the enemy on his horse and cut them with his lethal Zantetsuken
sword. He slashes the enemy three times, each time a Japanese
symbol is displayed on the screen, altogether, the symbols say
"Zantetsuken". The sword slices the enemy completely,
and you win the battle. However, on Disc 3 in the Lunatic Pandora,
the End of Disc battle is with Seifer. Odin will appear at the
start to vanquish Seifer, and his animation is exactly the same
as usual, but as Odin charges forward, the screen now switches
to Seifer instead, and the change occurs. Seifer slices Odin vertically
in half, and Odin will split into two. This time, the symbols
will appear with Seifer, but there will be two extra symbols at
the end. Altogether, the symbols say "Zantetsuken Reverse".
The screen shows Odin's Zantetsuken sword flying into the air.
Then a hand will grab the sword. Squall will be shocked at Odin's
death. He says, "Odin!?" and Seifer replies by saying,
"Hah! I won't give up that easy. Show me what you got Squall,
let me add another scar for you!". As always, Seifer is weak
against Poison, so use Bio magic or the Doomtrain GF. Soon after,
the being who grabbed the sword, Gilgamesh, will appear. He will
talk to Seifer, "You gave me? The 4th one? Huh? Was it you?...Then
Dodge my sword...Eat this!!" Gilgamesh executes the Zantetsuken
on Seifer with one swing of the sword, pushing him back. Gilgamesh
will be your replacement for Odin from now on. During a battle
Gilgamesh may appear: The sky will open up and a few knives will
fall and stick into the ground. Gilgamesh will then make his appearance.
"Zantetsuken" will appear at the top of the screen,
then Gilgamesh will take a swing at the enemy with the sword before
disappearing. Even though Gilgamesh can appear at a Boss battle,
he will normally miss the Boss. If you want to keep Odin, wait
until you finish the battle with Seifer, then fly the Raganok
to Centra Ruins.
Information in this section was contributed by odingilgameshzantetsuken.
Gilgamesh's abilities: If you lose GF Odin through Seifer cutting him down
with the "Zantetsuken Reverse", you will obtain GF Gilgamesh,
who you may at first think is not on par with Odin's skills. Look
at Odin's Card followed by that of Gilgamesh. You will see Odin's
Card is of a higher level, meaning that Odin himself would be
more reliable (because Odin carries the Zantetsuken sword which
will always instantly slice the enemy in half upon striking).
However, as GF Gilgamesh appears in battle, you will realize he
has more "scope" than Odin due to the following actions.
Gilgamesh can appear at any time during both random and Boss battles,
unlike Odin who would only appears at the start of a battle, and
never during a Boss fight. There is no difference in accuracy
or hit between the two GFs, resulting in Gilgamesh never missing
the Zantetsuken (except for Boss battles). Zantetsuken is the
most common attack Gilgamesh chooses. Also, Gilgamesh is likely
to use three other attacks beside the Zantetsuken. When Gilgamesh
drops down, four swords stick into the ground. One of these is
actually the Zantetsuken. He often picks up the Zantetsuken if
you have a high Luck stat. The Zantetsuken is the only sword that
misses a Boss, but there is a chance that you will see him instead
pick up one of the other three, such as the Masamune (which often
deals a heavy blow). There is only one sword he may choose that
is no use. For the unlucky, Gilgamesh will pick up a rip-off of
the Excalibur, aptly named the Excalipoor, which is quite simply
a joke. Against a Marlboro, Excalipoor deals just 1 HP damage.
Therefore, Gilgamesh's strength is his range of attacks, while
at the same time, his resulting ability to choose a weapon other
than Zantetsuken is his weakness.
Information in this section was contributed by The Legendary GF.
Defeating Odin: Triple is one of the best magic to junction. It should
be drawn from Odin. Do not worry about the time remaining in the
battle as long has you have more than thirteen minutes remaining
at the start of the battle. Auto junction your magic to Mag to
allow your characters to draw faster. Give all the Triples that
were drawn to the remaining three character who did not fight
Odin before fighting Cerberus because he has Triple magic. Note:
Cerberus with a low level will not have Triple.

Get Cactaur with Kamikaze learned. Go to any shop and by 22 Phoenix
Downs and go to the Cetra Ruins. Work your way up and take time
to fight. When facing Odin, have the member with Cactaur's Kamikaze
use it. It will instantly cause approximately 22,590 in damage
and kill him. Additionally, since the time limit is now gone,
you can go downstairs and fight 20 Tonberrys with Kamikaze. Note:
Do not use Kamikaze on the 20th Tonberry, as the Tonberry King
will appear.
Information in this section was contributed by Doom540.
A party composed of Zell, Squall, and Irvine are preferred. If
you choose these members, make sure Zell has good weapons and
knows Dolphin Blow. Make sure Squall has the Flame Saber or better.
Make sure Irvine has a good supply of Normal Ammo and Quick Ammo,
or better. All members should have the Draw and Magic commands,
as well as a good supply of Haste Magic. Also, If possible, have
Meltdown ready. Make sure you junction your best magic to strength,
as you will need to inflict major damage on Odin in as little
time as possible. Once Balamb Garden is mobile, go to the Centra
Contenent.Outside of Centra Ruins, have your characters' HP lowered
into the yellow. Equip ENC-None, one of Diablos' moves. When you
fight Odin, have Zell draw Triple from Odin and cast it on Irvine.
Have Irvine cast Haste on the whole party. Use Limit breaks to
destroy Odin quickly. If you are short on time, use the "Abusing
Duel" trick. Also, if your characters are high level and
have very good attack power (2000 damage a hit with each character),
you can use Ifrit's Mad Rush command. This will easily take Odin
out if your party is high level.

Reaching Omega Weapon: Bring the party that you wish to use to fight Omega
to the fountain and switch to the other party. Bring the party
to the room right before the painting room. Ring the bell hanging
at the ceiling by using the line near the screen. Quickly switch
to the other party and enter the room with the piano within 58
seconds.
Information in this section was contributed by Andrew.
Defeating Omega Weapon: The other 300 Ultima can be drawn from Omega Weapon.
Just junction your magic to Mag and make sure your party does
not have anyone with a level that can be killed by a Lv 5 Death.
Use a Holy War as soon as the battle begins. You may now draw
from him as needed. Remember to reuse the Holy War as soon as
the effect wears off. Omega Weapon also has Meteor, Flare and
Holy, which are good magics. You can always run away from him
with the ability to fight later. Just follow the same procedure
used to reach him the first time for a rematch. His level is always
100. Just have sufficient Life and Curaga magic to keep your party
alive. Remember to save before you fight him.
Information in this section was contributed by Andrew.
Use the Zell, Irvine and Squall's party. Irvine should have at
least 8 Pulse Ammos left after remodeling Squall's Lionheart.
Have 100 Demolition and AP Ammo in your inventory. Have 10 Holy
Wars refined from a Gilgamesh card. Have the three characters'
life in the yellow. Use a Holy War at the beginning of the battle.
Then keep using Limit Breaks against him. For Zell, keep using
Booya, Heel Drop, Booya, Heel Drop in that sequence; it should
cause more than 100,000 damage for each turn if you are fast enough.
Reuse a Holy War after the effect is over. He should be down within
15 minutes if the Str of your entire party is around 250. Remember
his level is always 100.
Information in this section was contributed by Andrew.
There is also a trick to easily defeat this monster if your Selphie
at Level 100. Put Selphie in your party had have her Limit Break
usable. Wait for a moment when no one is moving and open the PlayStation
lid . This should stop any movement and you can slot until you
get a 'The End' magic and one hit kill. Note: It is not recommended
that you open the lid of your PlayStation during game play. Use
this trick at your own risk.
Information in this section was contributed by Andrew.
Have Squall, Quistis and Zell in your party. Squall must be at
level 100, strength 255, spirit 200, HP 9999, all the other stats
above 100, and have the Lionheart. Quistis should have all her
stats above 150, except speed (over 100) and must have 9999 HP
and the Alexander's Recovery. Zell must have the Item command
equipped and all his stats above 150. Change Laguna card to obtain
100 Holy War (for invincibility). Have Zell use the Holy War on
Quistis and then on himself. Have Quistis cast Aura on Squall.
Have Zell cast Meltdown on Omega Weapon. Have Squall use his R1
Trigger (PlayStation version). When Omega Weapon attacks (and
kills Squall only as Quistis and Zell are invincible), have Quistis
cast Revive on Squall. Then, have Zell cast Aura on Squall and
restart from point repeat the procedure from the R1 Trigger.
When the invincibility ends, have Zell use Holy War again. If
done correctly, Omega weapon will be defeated after Squall has
six turns.
Information in this section was contributed by Zampolli Sara.
You can defeat Omega without changing Laguna's Card or open your
PlayStation. You can find two Holy Wars by stealing from Edea
at the end of Disc 2, and from Seifer at the end of Disc 3. Save
them until the fight with Omega Weapon. Have Selphie at level
100 in your party. She should have Life 2 or Revive magic. Another
character should have Aura and the Item command available. At
the start of the battle, immediately use Aura followed by Holy
War on Selphie. Have her limit usable and if you have her The
End magic, use it. If you cannot find it repeatedly press Circle
to have another stock of magic. Remember that the farther you
slot, the less probabilities you have to get The End. If you cannot
find in about 30 slots, change stock by pressing Circle
again until you see the special's white arrow re-appear. You will
get a completely different stock. If the invincibility ends, use
Aura again and then the other Holy War on her. If the other characters
are dead, revive only the one that has Aura magic and the Item
command -- you cannot lose time with the Omega. One of her attacks
is enough to wipe out your entire party, so be quick. This trick
requires a bit of luck, but you should have enough time to slot
until you can find The End. Remember that if the effect of the
second Holy War fades out, your party will be destroyed. If this
happens try to escape, but then you will no longer have the Holy
Wars - it may be more convenient to reset your game and try again.
Information in this section was contributed by Sara Zampolli.
Before the battle, make sure that you get the Laguna card. Modify
ut into 100 Heros and try to have Lionheart for Squall. Also have
your characters at full health. When the battle begins, keep healing
your characters with Curaga to make sure that they stay at 9999
hit points. When Omega uses his burning move it will take off
9998 points. Have each character use one Hero on themselves and
Omega will not be able to damage them. This will allow your characters
to keep hitting him with limits as they are only at 1 HP. After
about three to four limits with each character, have them use
another Hero and it should be defeated with no one dying.
Information in this section was contributed by Armageddon1030.
Have Selphie in your party and have her equipped with Strange
Vision (her best weapon). Get her HP low enough to get the item
"The End" and use it on him. It will kill every monster
including Bosses except dead monsters.
Information in this section was contributed by Armageddon1030.
Use the following trick to defeat Omega Weapon without refining
any cards and using just one Hero. Early in the game, steal a
Hero from Seifer on Disc 2 or 3. Then, in Ultimecia Castle, add
Selphie to your party. Have the "Item" and, if desired,
"Initiative" ability junctioned to each character. Enter
the battle and immediately have someone cast Aura on Selphie and
then use a Hero. If you do not do it in this order, you will not
be able to cast Aura on her, Keep pressing Circle until
you activate her limit break and go through her slots until you
find "The End". Make sure you do this slowly, since
it is very easy to skip. Just use the attack and Omega Weapon
will be instantly defeated. To increase your chances of getting
"The End", you could raise Selphie to level 100. This
could be done easily on "The Island Closest to Heaven"
by having Quistis in your party and using her "Degenerator"
Blue Magic. Another way is to junction 100 Ultimas to her Luck.
Also, you could junction GF abilities that would raise her Luck.
Information in this section was contributed by Robocop.
Getting Shiva and Quetzacoatal: After Quistis's class, go back to the computer and
turn it on. Go to Tutorial (NEW). After some information is displayed,
it will give you Shiva and Quetzacoatal. If you do not do this,
once you leave Balamb Garden, Quistis should give them to you.
Information in this section was contributed by Chrono Man.
Defeating Tiamat: Tiamat is found in Ultemicia's Castle. You can absorb
his most devastating attack, the Dark Flare, by junctioning elemental
defense with 100 Ultima and 100 Life 2. You can put up any other
junction that has your character absorbing the basic elemental
attacks Fire, Ice and Bolt. (Life and 100 Flare Magic or 100 Meteor
and 100 Ice, Fire, and Bolt 3 if you have four junction Elem-Def.)
Altough you may think his Dark Flare is a non-Elemental attack
cause of the large damage and the heavy load, this is not true.
It is similar to the Magic Breath enemy skill from Final Fantasy
7.
Information in this section was contributed by Zampolli Sara.
Defeating Tonberry: To get the Tonberry GF you must fist defeat nineteen
Tonberries. You can defeat them in as many visits as needed. Equip
the Cactuar GF's Kamikaze ability to the person that has the highest
HP/Str. Defeat eighteen Tonberries using Kamikaze. Then, go out
of the Centra Ruins, use a Tent, and save on the world map. Use
the "Obtaining various magic" hint and stock Aura, Meteor,
Full Life, Tornado ,etc. and equip at least 50 of them on each
character. Equip a strong magic to your Mag, and various abilities
which have Mag on them (such as Mag+60, etc.) to get everyone's
Mag up to 255. Un-equip the Kamikaze ability. Defeat the final
Tonberry using normal methods such as Aura to trigger Lionheart
and other limit breaks. When that Tonberry is defeated, the king
Tonberry will drop down into the battlefield. Use Angel Wing,
Squall's limit breaks, GFs, Zell's limit breaks Ultima, Meteor,
and Cure to restore your HP up after the Chef's Knife, and Full-Life
to restore the dead characters from Everyone's Grudge. The Tonberry
GF will say "I-I-I-m Sorry" when it is defeated. You
can equip the Enc-None ability after the battle to avoid more
Tonberries.

To defeat the regular Tonberries on the way to face the Tonberry
GF, keep Squall's HP low. Keep switching turns until you can use
his special move. Two times will be enough if his strength is
above 150. If he dies, revive him with a Life magic to keep his
HP low. After defeating twenty Tonberi in the place where you
get Odin, you will face King Tonberry. You can easily finish him
by junctioning 100 Death to your Status Defense, so you will never
die with the Death spell. Squall should have the Lionheart and
Strength at 255. Cast Aura on him and Meltdown on Tonberi. Using
the Renzokuken two times should be enough to kill him, even if
you do not use the Lion Heart. An alternate method is to have
one of your characters (besides Squall) with a strength at 255.
Use Kamikaze with that character and it should deal 60,000 damage.
Then cast Aura on Squall and use Renzokuken. Even if you trigger
very badly you should defeat him in one turn.

To defeat normal Tonberries, use a boosted Pademona and Leviathan,
while you use Diablos to take 5450 HP of them each time (about
9450 HP taken with one complete turn). Casting Meltdown on them
increases Pandemona and Leviathan's damage to about 3000 to 4000
HP. When you fight the King Tonberry, start by stocking loads
of Full-life and Curaga. Casting them directly from him makes
them less effective. His Junk and its Sharp attack will take off
either and makes you close to being killed - have Full Life ready
to be casted (Cerberus helps here). He has over 84000 HP. Having
the Brothers 20% HP/40% HP/80% HP also helps.

To get the Tonberry GF, go to the Centra Ruins where you can also
find Odin. Defeat 18 Tonberries with Cactuar's Kamikaze ability.
Saving the game at this point is recommended. You have to defeat
19 or 20 Tonberries to make the Tonberry King appear. The number
of Chef's Knives you have has nothing to do with when he appears.
To defeat the 19th or 20th Tonberry, use Doomtrain or cast Meltdown.
Afterwards, use the boosted Leviathan and Diablos to take off
9999 HP each time. This should kill it in about four turns. When
you defeat the last Tonberry, the Tonberry King will show himself.
Use Doomtrain or Meltdown, then use the boosted Leviathan to take
off 9999 HP (if you get the boost between 150 and 170). Diablos
has no affect on him. Equip someone with Item and use a Hero on
whoever has Leviathan. Make sure the person with Leviathan has
Recover equipped. Use Meteor and Ultima on the Tonberry King.
If Squall gets weak, use his limit break before recovering him.
Zell's limit break is also effective. Use Scan on the Tonberry
King occasionally so you can use Kamikaze to finish him off. It
will take off as much HP as it did on most Tonberries. When the
Tonberry King, is defeated he will fall over like normal Tonberries,
then he will turn into a normal Tonberry and say, "I...I'm
sorry." and join your party. He has Haggle, Familiar, LV
Up, LV Down and other abilities. Look out for the Tonberry King's
"It's Sharp!" attack and Junk.

Defeat 18 Tonberries by using Diablos three times and Ifrit and
Quezacoatal six times, which takes off about 22,000 HP. Cure yourself
and prepare for a good battle. When you meet the 19th Tonberry
quickly defeat him and Tonberry King will appear. Diablos will
not work, but keep useing Ifrit and Quezacoatal. Summon Cerebus
to have Triple. Have a lot of Holys if Shiva is badly damaged.

Getting missed G.F.s: Every Guardian at Ultemicia's Castle has a GF that
can be drawn.

Guardian Forces at the beginning and end
of a battle: To have a Guardian Force at the beginning and the end
of a battle, go to the Centra ruins and defeat Odin. He is quite
easy if you use a few of Ultimas on him. You can get Ultimas at
the entrance of Shumi Village. Odin will randomly appear at the
beginning of a battle. Next, go to Shumi Village and talk to the
sculpture to find some stones. These are the Blue Stone, Wind
Stone, Shadow Stone, Life Stone and the Water Stone. The Blue
Stone is already in the workshop. The Wind Stone is the big boulder
near the hotel. The Shadow Stone is at the entrance where you
come in, on the right. The Life Stone is under the huge tree you
pass under. The Water Stone is in the house closest to the workshop.
The stones will be easy to find because the characters notice
things for you. After that talk to the leader of the tribe and
later, you will be given two, three or four Phoenix Pinions. Use
these to summon a Phoenix using the Item ability. The Phoenix
will revive your characters and damage your enemy. Once you run
out of Phoenix Pinions, the Phoenix will randomly appear at the
end of battles and revive all your characters.

Rush G.F Command (from Ifrit and Eden):
Although it may seem that it is a useless command,
Rush allow you to cast Berserk, Haste, and Protect on your entire
party. If you have high strength stats (above 150) and high HP
(above 7000), you will find out that it is useful against junk
monsters(Lesmathor, Cokatoris). Against high HP monsters, a high
HP should protect you enough and high strength stats with Berserk
should allow you to deal out damage of 9999 HP a turn. With the
aid of Haste, you can take charge of most of the monsters on the
Islands Closest To Heaven and Hell. Junction 100 Drain magic to
your Status attack so you can heal yourself as you fight.

Frequent Odin appearances (PlayStation
version): Note: A dual analog controller is required for this
trick. Get into a normal battle and repeatedly move the Left-Analog-stick
and Right-Analog-stickUp and Down in opposite
directions (Left-Analog-stick is Up while Right-Analog-stick
is Down and vice versa) exactly when you hear the monster's
sounds begin. This should increase the chances that Odin will
appear in the battle.

Use the following trick to always make Odin appear. Go to the
second-to-last floor and take out the statue's eye. Go upstairs
and climb the ladder. Put the eye into the new statue and it will
give you a code (for example, 5-6-5-0-7). Take out both eyes and
put them into the statue downstairs. A torch will light up, and
five "0"s will be on top of it. Enter the code given
to you and press Triangle. The door directly under you
will open. Odin is in there. To defeat him, try using Cactaur's
Kamikaze to deal 60,000 damage and an instant kill.

GF Boost (PlayStation version): The following trick can be used with any GF that has
learned Boost. Cast a GF. Hold Select when the blue bar
disappears and the character casts the GF. A hand in the bottom
right corner of the screen will appear. Notice the circle icon
under the pointed finger. When the icon is showing, press Circle
rapidly. Stop when the circle icon has an X over it. Try to get
the numbers located beside the icon (which starts at around 70)
to 100. Depending on the strength and weakness of the target,
the GFs attack can take up to 9999 HP off of each opponent.

Make sure all the GFs that can learn the Boost ability can do
so. Use a controller with a turbo feature and set the turbo function
to Square. Just hold Select + Square buttons
and release when the red "X" appears. This should give
you about twice as much damage than normal.

When in a battle and you summon a GF, try to press Select.
If you have learned the summoned GF "Boost", you will
see a little hand pointing at the Square button. Start pressing
Square rapidly, and the amount of boost will increase.
If you can get the boost number up to about 200 points, the GF's
attack will be almost doubled. This trick works with every GF
with the ability to learn "Boost GF". Sometimes, depending
on level, your GF will be able to inflict over 9,999 HP of damage.
Note: Be careful -- if you press Square when an "X"
shows up on the little hand, your boost will decrease and you
have to start again. The "X" appears three times, and
if you are quick, you can avoid it. If you are having trouble
getting over 200 or even getting the maximum amount, 250 points,
use a controller with an auto-fire feature.
