Game And Watch Gallery

Reset memory:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left(2), Right(2) at the title screen. Note: This will delete all high scores and saved game files.

Quick save:
Pause game play, then power off the Game Boy. Game play will resume at the point it was paused the next time the game is started.

Toggle music:
Press Select at the mode selection screen. A musical note will be displayed when music is enabled.

Expert mode:
Score 1000 points in a game in a modern mode game to unlock a special star mode for that game. Then press Up at the game and level selection screen to play a more difficult version of that that same game.

Unlocking the panels:
Press Left or Right at the game selection screen to view the best scores for each game. Each star is equal to 200 points, with the top row displaying scores for modern mode and the bottom row displaying scores for classic mode. One "Gallery Corner" screen is unlocked for every 200 points of a game's high score. Thus, 800 points must be scored under the easy difficulty setting of each modern and classic game to unlock all sixteen panels. Note: Score 1000 points (five stars) in each game to unlock another bonus.

Chef: Score 800 points in Modern Octopus
Fire: Score 400 points in Modern Oil Panic
Fire Attack: Score 800 points in Classic Manhole

Mario Bros.: Score 800 points in Classic Fire
Mario's Cement Factory: Score 800 points in Classic Octopus
Octopus: Score 800 points in Modern Fire
Parachute: Score 800 points in Modern Manhole
Turtle Bridge: Score 800 points in Modern Oil Panic
Vermin: Score 400 points in Modern Octopus

Earn 50 stars to view the credits. Earn 100 stars to have the credits available permanently.

Hint: Fire: Move quicker:
To move from one end of the board to the other, instead of pressing the D-pad twice, you can press the D-pad once then A or B (depending on the direction). This not only makes them go faster, but it will save you from a lot of misses.

Hint: Octopus: Easy Points:
When playing in Octopus, the easiest way to gain huge scores is to only grab about three pieces of treasure each time you go down. By doing this, you will have a lot of speed to dodge the tentacles, instead of having a full sack of treasure and being very slow.
