Kirby Trophy:
Successfully complete Boss mode.
Hint: Ball ability:
The Ball ability may seem useless at first glance,
as it is only a form of moving around a level. However, while
Kirby is flashing as a ball, he is invincible and does a ludicrous
amount of damage to enemies in his path. This makes it possible
to destroy King Dedede in five hits. However, you will be vulnerable
momentarily when you hit the ground. Jump into Bosses at such
an angle that you will not land "inside" them.
Information in this section was contributed by Hogulus.
Hint: Laser ability:
Long distances are your friend. If you keep hurting
yourself with Ball, give Laser a try. It may be weak on Bosses,
but as long as you stay as far away as possible, they cannot harm
you. If you want slightly more muscle at the expense of range,
try Cutter.
Information in this section was contributed by Hogulus.
Hint: Parasol ability:
When you suck in an enemy carrying a parasol, swallow
it. Jump up high so that you reach the top of the screen and press
B(2). Move around with the D-pad, and you will float
down gently. This is a good strategy for defeating enemies that
cannot jump. Note: Bugzzy, Bonkers, etc. can jump.
Information in this section was contributed by moranz24.
Hint: UFO ability:
Hold B button for five to ten seconds, which
will make double star (similar to when you suck in two enemies).
It will send the star that will eliminate all enemies in its path
until the end of the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by BlueLightning10.
You will not be able to keep a UFO ability in any of the stages
of where you can copy it by the time you finish it (go through
the big star door). Nonetheless, if you swallow two enemies that
have abilities, UFO will not be listed as one of them during the
roulette. If there is, it is a rare chance of stopping the roulette
on it.
Information in this section was contributed by rubyad.
The UFO ability is in the roulette. If you let the roulette stop
on its own in certain areas it will always be the same.
Information in this section was contributed by catman1111.
If you have the UFO ability, you will have a variety of attacks
to choose from:
Information in this section was contributed by moranz24.
Press B normally: Blue Beam ability
Hold B two seconds: Blue Laser ability
Hold B five seconds: Powerful Blue Laser ability
Hold B eight seconds (Kirby flashes): Very powerful Blue Laser
ability
When you see two stones, suck them up and let the roulette pick
your power. You will get UFO.
Information in this section was contributed by EVILbutCOOL.
It is obvious that the UFO is one of the best abilities for Kirby
to copy. Unfortunately, you will lose the power when you complete
a level, and thus cannot use it against King DeDeDe.
Information in this section was contributed by IamSamnoegsnoham.
Hint: Random ability:
If you successfully inhale two enemies that give you
an ability at the same time, you will be given a chance to select
any ability. However, it is too fast to select from and automatically
stops then gives you a random ability (if you do not press anything).
Information in this section was contributed by Frank Man.
Hint: Museum trick:
If you you have unlocked all the stages in a level,
try to defeat the Boss. Go to the museum and swallow any enemy
if you do not have an ability yet. Remember to only jump once;
jumping twice will cause Kirby to pop the enemy, then you will
have to leave and return again. Go to the Boss level, and when
you enter, press Select to throw away the ability. However,
try to make it hit The boss. They will get some damage, making
it easier to defeat them.
Information in this section was contributed by moranz24.
Hint: Defeating the Bomb Brothers:
Use the following trick to defeat the Bomb Brothers
at the same time. Stay in the middle with Spark, Frezze, and Neddle
and hold B. Note: If they move on different times, this
will not work.
Information in this section was contributed by Otares989.
Hint: Defeating the Dark Wizard:
When fighting the last Boss, the Dark Wizard, repeatedly
press A to jump and the wand will spin around you. This
will act like a shield. You can still shoot while pressing A
if you also press B.
Information in this section was contributed by Sal Lorello.
To defeat the Dark Wizard easily, stay in the far left corner.
When you see the white tornado, jump and press B. This
damages him more, and protects you from most of his attacks.
Information in this section was contributed by Lemmergirl.
Hint: Defeating Heavy Mole:
If you are facing Heavy Mole, beware when trying to
copy the bullet. Sometimes it gives you a Sleep power instead
of a Hammer.
Information in this section was contributed by E. Birnie.
When fighting Heavy Mole, red missiles will put you to sleep and
brown missiles will give you the hammer ability.
Information in this section was contributed by Joshua Brooks.
Get the Hign Jump power and use it near him. For example, jump
at his front when you first start. You will damage him before
he starts to drill up and down.
Information in this section was contributed by Flfkn.
Use the Whirlwind ability and you can sometimes kill him before
he even starts digging.
Information in this section was contributed by Vick.
Hint: Defeating King DeDeDe:
To defeat King DeDeDe easily, get the Hurricane move
and keep going back and forth hitting him. If you keep moving
in that way, he probably will not hit you. After defeating King
DeDeDe, you have to fight a moon-type thing. To defeat it, stay
in the middle on the left side of the screen and only move when
necessary. Most of its attacks will miss. Then, use your Starwand
and shoot stars at it rapidly.
Information in this section was contributed by adam tanguay.
Go back to level 5 and suck up a bomb then eat it to get its power.
Then, fly over the rest to avoid damage. Next, go through the
door at the end of the screen. Then use your power on the giant
wheel. Then the wheel should charge you. Jump over it and it should
fall over and a mini wheel will appear. Suck up the tire (do not
eat it), then spit it at the wheel and it should die. Suck up
the wheel and eat it to get its power. Then, press Start
and select "Exit through a door". Then, fight King DeDeDe
and just go back and forth using the wheel. Note: Try pushing
B immediately before you hit the side of the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by PhnxDawg.
Before going through the Boss door to fight king DeDeDe, go to
level 5. Go a little way and inhale the spinning top to become
Tornado Kirby. Then, return to the map and challenge king DeDeDe.
Keep using the Tornado ability to defeat him. He cannot hurt you
as long as you continuously press B.
Information in this section was contributed by Atasteve1.
When you are facing King DeDeDe, you can defeat him easily with
five to ten hits using the copy ability High-Jump.
Information in this section was contributed by L. Moudgal.
To defeat King DeDeDe, get Laser Kirby and just blast and jump.
Information in this section was contributed by Ed Justus.
To defeat King DeDeDe, use either the Tornado, Ball, or UFO abilities.
Information in this section was contributed by Lauren.
Use Rock to defeat King DeDeDe.
Information in this section was contributed by catman1111.
Use the following trick to use Crash Ability on King DeDeDe: To
do this trick, you must have the Boss room available with King
DeDeDe. Go to level 1 (Vegetable Valley), and go to the second
room. Defeat Poppy Bros. Sr. and swallow him. He is the one with
the bombs. Once you defeat him, press Start without using
the Crash Ability. Select the "Leave Through A Door"
option and try to win every sub-game possible while you go back
to Rainbow Resort. Also, try to get first place in each one to
get lots of lives. When you get back to Rainbow Resort, go to
the Boss Room. When you first enter, use the Crash Ability. It
will help greatly.
Information in this section was contributed by moranz24.
To defeat King DeDeDe, use Spark. It does the most damage.
Information in this section was contributed by AnaisFan55.
Just use ball and keep on bouncing and hitting him several times
you defeat him. Note Make sure not to hit his hammer.
Information in this section was contributed by Metsrock62.
Use Wheel on him. You can repeatedly hit him without getting hurt.
Information in this section was contributed by wltj.rinkel.
Hint: Defeating the Nightmare Ball and
Nightmare Wizard:
When fighting the Nightmare Ball, he follows this order
of attacks: two stars, rapidly shoots three stars, then at first
he will shoot four stars horizontally only. After he only has
one fifth of his life remaining, he will shoot them opposite by
twisting them. The most difficult part will be when he shoots
crescent moons -- bottom, top, bottom, top, middle is the order.
When he is defeated, you will fight the Nightmare Wizard. He will
first shoot stars in an up, down, or middle direction, followed
by another which is in a more straight pattern. This is a good
time for you to attack. He then warps around four or five times,
then reveals the tornado behind him (which is a weak spot). You
can easily attack him there. He then does two attacks in random
order. He will go to a corner where you can the Spinning Tornado
behind him and fire stars rapidly, or he will dive at you. When
his life is low, he will fly upside down revealing the tornado
for about a second -- you must be quick. Repeat this pattern to
defeat the main Bosses.
Information in this section was contributed by Atasteve1.
To defeat the Nightmare Ball, repeatedly press A or B
to shoot stars at it. Move around to dodge its attacks.
Information in this section was contributed by Lauren.
To defeat the Nightmare Wizard, press A, then immediately
press B when it spins its tail. When it disappears and
reappears many times, duck. If you shoot at it when its tail is
black and not gray (it turns gray when spinning), the star will
bounce off and the wizard will have a better chance to hurt you.
Note: If you just repeatedly press A, it will take a long
time to defeat it. If you press A then B quickly
at its tail when it is spinning, it will do a lot of damage and
you will have a very good chance of beating it.
Information in this section was contributed by Lauren.
To defeat the Nightmare Ball, match the ball's movement (up and
down) as closely as possible and keep firing. Nearly every shot
will hit and you will not take damage.
To defeat the Nightmare Wizard, instead of jumping into the wizard
(with a spinning attack), fire stars at its tornado body (jump
and fire). Stars do heavy damage and can kill him in six to eight
shots, instead of over twenty jumps. Note: For a funny death,
do not fire the final shot until he does the tornado attack upside
down. Then, kill him while he is in that position.
Hint: Defeating the Sun And Moon Boss:
Get Spark; it does a lot of damage to them very fast.
This allows you to destroy them in approximately five seconds
if done correctly.
Information in this section was contributed by wltj.rinkel.
Hint: Defeating Tornado Magician:
When facing the Tornado Magician, stay in the bottom
left corner. You will only get about 2 damage from him if you
are skilled. You can deliver a lot of damage when you are barely
even moving.
Information in this section was contributed by dntmortgage.
Hint: Defeating the Tree Boss:
To defeat the level 1 Tree Boss, become Cutter Kirby
(which you can find on one of the levels on the first stage).
Get to the Boss and keep throwing cutters at him until he is defeated.
Note: Needle Kirby also works well.
Information in this section was contributed by Josh Baptie.
Hint: Defeat The Wheel:
Go to the level that has bombs that fall from the top.
Suck up a bomb up and get Crash. Go to the door, and battle The
Wheel .Before the life meter gets full, use your power. He should
have one hit remaining. Use Mike or Crash on Bosses to lower their
life.
Information in this section was contributed by Courage647516949.
Hint: Defeating Whispy Woods:
Get either Sword/Spark/Fire/Freeze/Ice Kirby, then
stay close to him. He will not attack you there. Keep attacking
him and he will soon be defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by Otares989.
Note: You can also use Needle.
Information in this section was contributed by Joshua Burns.
Make sure you have and keep Needle (or Spark) Kirby. When your
fight with the Boss begins, run directly under him and hold Attack.
If you are lucky, he will not be able to attack you.
Information in this section was contributed by GameCaleb.
Get Needle or Spark Kirby and stand directly next to him. Then,
just hold B.
Information in this section was contributed by FreeBall87.
Hint: Defeating Bosses:
When you get an ability that you do not want, get rid
of it by pressing Select, then suck it back up. Do not
swallow it. Instead, press B again and try to aim it at
your opponent. It will do more damage. This works on most opponents.
Information in this section was contributed by Zeographics.
Hint: Completing Boss Endurance:
Information in this section was contributed
by Atasteve1.
Wispy Woods: Avoid air puffs and shoot dropped apples.
Paint Roller: Inhale the cloud and use Shock Kirby.
Mr. Sun and Mr. Bright: Use Shock ability from last battle.
Kracko: Race to top as High Jump Kirby and jump at Boss.
Heavy Mole: Inhale missile and hit Boss with hammer.
Meta-Night: Avoid long range attack; jump and hit.
King DeDeDe: When he jumps, hit him with Sword Spin.
Hint: See Meta-Knight's face:
Defeat Meta-Knight, then quickly hit him. You should
see his face. It should look like Kirby's face, only blue.
Information in this section was contributed by Chinesebug10.
Hint: Break blocks with Meta-Knight:
With Meta-Knight, you can use it to break the blocks
that normally require a hammer to break. You can also light fuses
for cannons with your sword.
Information in this section was contributed by Jrfoor2.
Hint: Level 1: UFO:
Get to the point where there is a waterfall with rocks.
You may notice that there is a black hole under the first rock.
It is really a door. Go under the first rock, but do not fall
down too far or you will die. Inside will be a UFO.
Information in this section was contributed by KYLEB12.
Hint: Level 1-1: Get Throw:
Enter the first level. Jump over the first beam that
you see. There will be another beam coming toward you. When it
is almost to you, suck it up along with the one coming after it.
You need to suck them both up in the same breath. Press Down
to get your power. Do not press any buttons to select a power
while it is spinning. When it stops spinning, you should have
"Throw". Note: If you accidentally kill the first beam,
go to the right until you can no longer see where beam one was
standing. Then, return to where you started and the first beam
should return.
Information in this section was contributed by JDSZ50.
Hint: Level 6-3:
Fight through the first part. Fight Bonkers, open the
gray block, and go to Sir Kirbill. Break the bomb block immediately
underneath. It should be a crack. Go in it. Defeat the sword man,
but first lose your hammer. Quickly suck up the laser ball, then
go to the top left corner where its the darkest and exit. Defeat
the flame kid and shoot a laser to the slant to the top right
corner. Quickly get into the cannon and blast off. The switch
is there.
Information in this section was contributed by Nunziafreire.
Hint: Level 7-2: Extra lives:
In level 7-2 (Rainbow Resort stage 2) in the first
room, fly onto the ledge exactly over the door. Fly straight up
to the top of the screen and you should see a black rectangle
covered in vertical lines. Fly in front of it and press Up
as if it was a door (and it is). Once inside, you should have
skipped a some Bosses and be at Bonkers the monkey. After defeating
the Fire Lion, you will enter a room with five extra lives.
Hint: Level 7-2: Hidden room:
To get to this door, you must go to the top in the
middle. There will be a jail cell-type door. Go through it and
you will get five extra lives, but must go through some Bosses.
Information in this section was contributed by Margaret Smith.
Hint: Level 7-5: Extra lives:
In the last area there is a cannon. Suck up a Blowfire
and get the Burning Ability. After that, stand near the stairs
in front of the fuse. Jump and activate burning, causing you to
light the fuse. When you hit something, wait for him to rebound.
When he gets higher from the rebound, press A again. Then,
jump in the cannon quickly to get five lives.
Information in this section was contributed by peghigdon.
Hint: Level 7-6: Hidden room:
Go to the room with the final door that ends the level.
Do not go through it. Just a little higher than the door you will
see a moon. Go up to it and press Up to enter the hidden
room.
Information in this section was contributed by JBla91.
Hint: Underwater weapons:
You can use the sword and hammer underwater.
Information in this section was contributed by CCeilidh.
The UFO underwater is much slower, but is useful. The sword and
hammer just use the spin when swimming.
Information in this section was contributed by crazy 4ndy.
Hint: Easy lives:
If you need a lot of lives for a Boss battle go to
"previous" doors and look for sub-games in other levels.
The ranks are as follows. If you do well, you should get about
18 or 19 lives.
Information in this section was contributed by HarryObiwan.
First place: 3 lives
Second place: 2 lives
Third place: 1 life
Fourth place: Nothing
Hint: Get 100% quicker:
On every level (not room), there will be at least one
switch to unlock a new part of the area. You will know if you
did not get a switch in that room if the door is red with a yellow
star. Most of the levels guard their switches with things that
can only be destroyed with the "Hammer" ability. You
can only see The boss with the brown bullets once; there are other
ways to get Hammer. Very few levels have Bonkers the Monkey (the
Boss that is a monkey with a hammer), and he can give you the
needed ability. First, complete every level and do not pay attention
to the switch at that level if one exists. When you defeat the
Nightmare Wizard, there will be a story about how King Dedede
did not want to harm anybody. Then, go back to level 7-2. There
will be a black rectangle with white lines in the middle at the
top. You will go straight to Bonkers, but he will be stronger.
Defeat Bonkers and suck him up. Go back to the levels you did
not get switches on. Note: You may have to go to Bonkers more
than once.
Information in this section was contributed by GameboyCastle.
Hint: Seeing in dark areas:
When in the dark areas (where enemies are nearly, if
not completely impossible to see), look for ghosts. If you find
one, copy its ability (Light) and use it. If you cannot find a
ghost, tilt the screen away from you for a similar effect.
Information in this section was contributed by John Schaeffer.
If you are playing the game on a Gameboy Player for Gamecube,
pause game play. Before the ability copy hints screen shows up,
you should be able to see the bricks for a brief moment.
Information in this section was contributed by GamecubeMaster.
Hint: Kirby's Dreamland
reference:
Go to the last area before the Boss in Rainbow
Resort. Some sections of the level will be in black and white,
because they came from Kirby's Dreamland.
Information in this section was contributed by wltj.rinkel.
Hint: Super Smash Bros.
reference:
In level 7 when you fight King DeDeDe, you can
hear a song from Super Smash Bros.
