Hints: Easy Duel Points: When you flunk in a test, and are bumped down to dropout
boy, it is actually a good thing. First, make sure you have a
deck that will increase your Life Points substantially. Then,
find the gym teacher. She is usually around the gym or in the
Obelisk blue girls dorm. When you talk to her, she will tell you
she will raise your rank back to Apprentice Duelist if you can
defeat her in a duel. As an added bonus, she will give you your
remaining Life Points to you as Duel Points, which means a large
number of points for new cards.
Information in this section was contributed by Mucoustwo
and pablo jaramillos.
In order to get 1,000 extra Duel Points, you must win by using
the spell card Final Countdown. You will lose 2000 Life Points,
but if you survive twenty turns you will win instantly. Also,
if you get an exam do not lie (for example, Ritual summons). Just
restart the game and it will change. Repeat this until you find
the one you want to do.
Information in this section was contributed by Oscar Midence.
For 1,000 Duel Points, have Final Countdown in your deck and duel
someone. Summon a good monster and use equip cards to make it
stronger. Most of the time Final Countdown is in your hand when
you first draw, activate it. Try to last twenty turns. If you
last that long, a picture of Final Countdown will appear and you
win, getting 1,000 Duel Points.
Information in this section was contributed by LittlePilkster.
Hint: Easy wins: Put Toon Gemini Elf, Toon Table of Contents, Toon Masked
Sorcerer, Toon World, and lots of equip magic cards in your deck.
When you Draw Toon World and either of the toon monsters, summon
the monster and equip it with a lot of equip cards. By doing this,
when you finally get to attack your opponents life points directly,
you can inflict some major damage along with using the effect
of Masked Sorcerer or Gemini Elf (where you can discard one card
randomly from your opponent's hand). It also may help if you have
Jinzo on the field so your opponent cannot activate trap cards.
Information in this section was contributed by Ericc0411.
Hint: Getting partners: When looking for a partner instead of dueling them,
there is another way to get them. Go to the store. The lady or
the girl will sell sandwiches there for 50 each. Continue to buy
all the sandwiches you can until they tell you that you have no
more room. You will getting the option when you go near a duelist,
a list will appear. Go down to "Item" and give them
the sandwiches that you have. You will have a choice to eat or
give. Select "Give" and it will increase their hearts.
It takes longer than dueling them, but it is worth it if you have
a lot of spare money and not enough skill to defeat an opponent
all the time.
Information in this section was contributed by William Small.
Hint: Free card: If you go without dueling headmaster Saytr Of Ra Yellow
for over a month, duel him. He will complain about how nobody
likes him anymore and other things. If you defeat him, he will
talk for a bit then give you a free card.
Information in this section was contributed by Mucoustwo.
On some dorm switch exam days, Miss Dorothy will be having trouble
delivering new card packs. She will ask you to help. Help her
and you will get a free card pack that later in the game will
cost 1000 Duel Points Help her any chance you get. You only get
five cards, but you can complete other packs with this pack.
Information in this section was contributed by anthony coolbeth.
Hint : Free Cyber Dragon card: If you are in the Obelisk Blue dorm after you have
defeated Zane at the Grand Festival , sometimes if you have been
sleeping for days in your room without dueling anyone, Zane will
knock on your door. He will duel you. If you defeat him, sometimes
he will give you a free Cyber Dragon card. Note: This will only
work if it is New Years. Zane was knocking to have your spirit
raised, and he will know that you are turning blue. Then he knows
you are choking on food.
Information in this section was contributed by Bobby Vadhanapanich.
Hint: Free A Hero Emerges card: In order to get a free A Hero Emerges card, wait until
you meet a student named Blair. Jaden will tell you that he thinks
Blair is hiding something and wants to duel him at the harbor.
Go there at night when you see the icon for Jaden and call out
to him. Defeat him in the duel and you will win a free A Hero
Emerges trap card.
Information in this section was contributed by Thomas Bowman.
Hint: Free Jinzo card: You are able to get the card Jinzo by defeating Obelisk
Blue people frequently, including Doctor Crowler. Doctor Crowler
will get mad and send a man called the Shadow Duelist. He hires
to come after you like in the show. When you defeat him, he drops
the card Jinzo and a bill for Doctor Crowler. If you put Jinzo
in your deck, a kid from Obelisk Blue will ask you to join his
team if you are able to defeat him using his deck. When it is
Thursday or Friday, he gets taken over by Jinzo from some ritual
he tried so that he could summon Jinzo.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian F..
Hint: Free Master of Oz card: If you duel Syrus as a Ra Yellow, once you start the
duel the screen will fade out and read "A Few Turns Later".
After that, Syrus goes through the problem he has in the anime
with his brother and Power Bond. Instead of using Power Bond,
he uses Polymerization. In your hand you are given four E-Heros.
You will then use Thunder Giant to beat Syrus. After the duel,
he runs off and drops Power Bond. You can then keep Power Bond.
If you keep skipping days as a Slifer Red by staying in your dorm,
you will eventually see a "?" by your room. When you
go there, someone will knock on your door. It is Chummley. He
will challenge you to a duel, saying that you need more confidence
and that you should leave your room more. If you win, he gives
you a card that Jaden gave him when he was about to flunk. The
card is Master of Oz.
Information in this section was contributed by Spencer Ficiur.
Hint: Exodia: If you get the five pieces of Exodia in your hand,
you will see a scene of Exodia breaking through the chains and
obliterating. You will win and only receive 500 extra Duel Points.
Note: It will work in numbers 60 and 88 also, but you will not
receive points.
Information in this section was contributed by DANMAN0025.
Hint: Jinzo and Call Of The Haunted: If Jinzo is resurrected by Call Of The Haunted continuous
trap, select one face up monster from your graveyard and special
summon it in face-up attack position. When this card is removed
from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed,
destroy this card. Even if you or your opponent uses Heavy Storm
or Giant Trunade, Jinzo will not disappear. He will remain on
the field because he negates the effects of all trap cards, including
Call Of The Haunted. Because Call Of The Haunted effect is negated,
the effect of Call Of The Haunted being removed from the field
is negated and Jinzo will remain on the field. Once Call Of The
Haunted is activated on Jinzo, he is connected with Call Of The
Haunted. Once Jinzo is on the field, Call Of The Haunted is automatically
negated and is no longer connected. You can then use cards like
Giant Trunade to return Call Of The Haunted and use it again.
Information in this section was contributed by Bobby Vadhanapanich.
Hint: Duel Masked Chazz: Be an Elite Duelist in the Slifer Red dorm. Keep challenging
Chazz and win. Finally he and his minions will duel you. If you
win you will be able to e-mail Chazz. Then Dr. Crowler will put
you in a match against him. If you win you will switch dorms.
Once you win, Chazz should say something like "Good bye Duel
Academy. You haven't seen the last of Chazz Princeton." Then
later, Alexis's friends should talk to you saying that a rival
school wants to duel their best duelist, but Zane has refused.
You will be called into the principal's office and he will say
that you will duel the rival. Crowler will introduce you and Chazz,
who now says "Chazz Thunder!"
Information in this section was contributed by Oscar Midence.
Hint: Duel Alexis as an Duel Apprentice:
Use the following trick to duel Alexis as a Dropout
Boy or Duel Apprentice. Go to the girls dorm at night when Alexis
is there. She and her friends will challenge you to duel. If you
defeat all three of them you will get Alexis as a friend. This
will only happen once. Save the game before you go to the dorm.
Information in this section was contributed by Aaron Harris.
Hint: Change name: Reach the "King of Games" rank to unlock
the "Principal's Office" room at the Duel Academy location.
Enter it to duel Chancellor Sheppard. Note: You will drop in status
to "Prince of Games" if you lose to him. Defeat him
more than once to be able to change your character's name.
Hint: Ranks: Information in this section was contributed
by SoBeboy09.
Dropout Boy: Fail the D.S. exam while being a duel apprentice.
Duel Apprentice: Your starting rank.
Fiery Duelist: Win 10 duels and 10 timed duels.
Calm Duelist: Win 25 duels and 25 timed duels.
Superior Duelist: Win 50 duels and 50 timed duels.
Honored Duelist: Win 100 duels.
Hint: Destiny Board and Spirit Messages:
Put Destiny Board F and Spirit Messages I, N, A, and
L in your deck. Then, duel anybody. Once you have it in your hand,
play it face down. On the standby phase of your opponent's turn,
flip it face up. When it is face up, the screen will darken and
a ghost with an F will appear. During each of your standby phases,
a Spirit Message will be played from your deck or hand, each with
a ghost with a letter. Do not play any face downs. When all of
them are played, the screen will turn black except for Destiny
Board F. All of the ghosts will line up, spelling "FINAL",
and winning you the duel. For winning this way you will receive
an extra 3000 DP.
Information in this section was contributed by William Cook.
Hint: Elemental Hero deck: For this game you should build an "Elemental Hero"
or E-HERO for short. They may seem weak if you have not unlocked
the Field Spell for them or their Fusion Parts:
Field Card: Skyscraper. This will power up all of your E-HERO
monsters by an extra 1000 ATK if they are attacking a monster
with higher attack points, but it will only work during the damage
step. For example, if you have E-HERO Burstanix ATK 1200/DEF 800
as attacking a monster with ATK 1250 or up to ATK 2200, she will
be able to defeat it and gain the extra points for it. However
after the battle the ATK will drop back to its original value
of 1200.
Fusion Cards : E-HERO Flame Wingman, E-HERO Shining Flare Wingman,
E-HERO Thunder Giant. E-HERO Flame Wingman has the ability to
make your opponent lose LP according to what their destroyed monster
ATK was (enhancements included). For example, if E-HERO Flame
Wingman destroyed Antique Gear Golem (ATK 3000) vs. E-HERO Flame
Wingman (ATK 3100), your opponent will lose 3100 LP (3100-3000
= 100); and thanks to the E-HERO Flame Wingman effect, your opponent
loses 3000 extra LP. This will work if that monster is in Defense
Mode as well.
Fusion Card: E-HERO Shinging Flare Wingman. He may have the same
effect has E-HERO Flame Wingman, but his status is ATK 2500/DEF
2100. He will gain a little more 300 ATK for every E-HERO monster
in your graveyard, so it is 300X the number of E-HEROs.
Fusion Card : E-HERO Thunder Giant (ATK 2400/DEF 1500). His ability
is to destroy any monster face-up on the field with ATK that are
lower than his own with out any enhancements. It will not matter
if it was Maha Vailo with ATK 5050, because Maha Vailo ATK was
originally was 1550 vs. ATK 2400 and he can automatically destroy
it once you discard one card from your hand. This can be used
once per turn if desired.
When using E-HERO monsters have the following recommended cards:
Polymerization , Fusion Gate , Miracle Fusion , Skyscraper , Hero
Signal , Spirit Barrier , Wroughtweiler , Bubble shuffle , or
Spark Gun, Draning Shield , Marshamllon and Jinzo. Miracle Fusion
allows you to summon an E-HERO Fusion monster if that material
monster is in your graveyard or on the field. But not in your
hand, the material parts will go out of play. Hero Signal allows
you to summon any E-HERO Monster card from your deck if it has
Elemental Hero in its name in the one to four star range, and
summon it in face up ATK mode or face up DEF mode. Spirit Barrier
is when you have a monster on the field set or summoned you do
not take any damage from battle damage if it was destroyed by
a monster. Wroughtweiler is when you have an E-HERO Monster and
a Polymerization in your graveyard you can get then back once
he is destroyed in battle. Bubbleshuffle will switch E-HERO Bubbleman
to defense mode and one other monster on the field to defense
mode as well. Then you can summon any E-HERO from your hand even,
if you summoned a monster during the same turn. With Spark Gun
you can switch any monster on the field (face-up) to the opposite
mode. Once this gun is used three times the card will head directly
to the graveyard, but it can only be equipped to E-HERO Sparkman.
Darning Shield negates the attack of one of your opponents monster.
Then you gain LP according to what that monster ATK is (enhancing
included). Marshmallon seems weak, however it cannot be destroyed
in battle. Also, if your opponent flips it up during battle and
gets attacked, your opponent automatically looses 1000 LP. As
long as Jinzo is on the field, you and your opponent can not activate
any trap cards. This will make your opponent furious because Mirror
Force , Magic Cylinder , Negate Attack , Magic Jammer , or 7 Tools
Of The Banid can wipe him or her out in a few turns (ATK 2400/DEF
1500). E-HERO Bubbleman allows you draw two cards if it is the
only one on your field (no other monsters, no face up or face
down cards , no field spell, and you must have no other cards
in your hand as well). You can then draw two cards or Special
Summon him to defend your LP.

Trying adding the card The Warrior Returning Alive to an E-HERO
deck. This card allows the to bring a Warrior type monster back
from the graveyard to your hand. All the Elemental Heroes are
Warriors.
Information in this section was contributed by Mudgee.
Hint: Exodia Necross: Lv 04 Dark Spellcaster (ATK 1800/DEF 0000). This card
cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special
Summoned except by the effect of "Contract With Exodia".
This card is not destroyed as a result of battle or by the effects
of Spell or Trap Cards, and during each of your Stand By Phases,
increase the ATK of this card by 500 points. This card is destroyed
when any of "Exodia The Forbidden One", "Right
Arm Of The Forbidden One", "Left Arm Of The Forbidden
One", "Right Leg Of The Forbidden One", or "Left
Leg Of The Forbidden One" is not in your graveyard. Pros
are: unable to be destroyed by Spell or Trap card effects; unable
to be destroyed in battle; gains +500 ATK each Standby Phase;
Able to gain equipment effects (Axe Of Despair, Black Pendant);
ATK can possibly be ?????; ATK 1800 + (500 X ?) where ? is the
number of Standby Phases it has been already. Cons are: if one
piece out of five is not in your graveyard it is destroyed; if
Brainwashed by the opponent, obviously the opponent would probably
will have a 99.9% of 0/5 pieces of Exodia in their graveyards;
Monster Effects will destroy it; Man-Eater Bug will destroy it;
Cyber Jar will destroy it; Spell/Trap cards will still affect
it (for example, Negate Attack/ Shrink).
Information in this section was contributed by Bobby Vadhanapanich.
Hint: TV Show: Exodia Necross will gain 1000 ATK points every turn.
Exodia Necross is not able to be destroyed by monster effects.
Information in this section was contributed by Bobby Vadhanapanich.
Hint: Make a deck using the Five God Dragon:
It is easy to make a deck using the Five God Dragon
Fusion Cards. For monsters, use three Troop Dragons, Masked Dragon,
Dragon Dwelling in the Cave, two Spear Dragons, two Luster Dragon
(1900/1600), and Kaiser Glider. Also, use some good offense monsters
such as Goblin Elite Attack Force, Skilled Dark Magician, Gemini
Elf, Reflect Bounder, Drillroid (acts like Sasuke Samurai, and
Dark Ruler Ha Des mixed into one) and Breaker the Magical Warrior.
Also put in Jinzo to stop traps, and do not forget Magician of
Faith. For spells, use Dragon Mirror instead of Polymerization.
Dragon Mirror; remove from play from your side of the field or
your graveyard Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Dragon-Type
Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon the Fusion Monster from
your Fusion Deck. This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.
Also if desired, add Emergency Provision, Heart of the Underdog,
and A Feather of the Phoenix; discard one card from your hand.
Select one card in your graveyard and place it on top of your
deck. For traps you can add whatever trap desired (Mirror Force,
Calamity of the Wicked recommended). When your opponent's monster
attack, destroy all spell and traps on the field. Make sure you
have a trap to deactivate spell cards and destroy it.

Hint: King Of Games: In order to become "King Of Games" you must
first be "Prince Of Games". Defeat all of the following
duelists ten times, and these are their "dorms ":
In order to duel Obelisk Blue Students (excluding Professor Fontaine),
you must be a Fiery Duelist or higher. If you are a Drop Out or
Apprentice Duelist you cannot duel. Your duelist title is too
low to duel them.

Hint: Original and Japanese names: Information in this section was contributed
by Bobby Vadhanapanich.
Instead of calling Zane (Big Man On Campus), he is called "Kaiser
Ryo" in the original. Kaiser means a German leader in English
and a Duelist who has not lost a duel before in Japanese.

Glitch: Bottomless Trap Hole: Even though the Bottomless Trap Hole allows you to
counter a special summon above 1500 ATK, when Premature Burial
is used you cannot counter it.
Information in this section was contributed by Anthony.
Glitch: Burst Stream: Put Burst Stream of Destruction in your deck. It does
not matter if do not own a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. You can use
it just like Rageki, except it is not limited.
Information in this section was contributed by Spencer Ficiur.
Glitch: Call Of The Haunted: When you use Call Of The Haunted, do not use it with
Goblin Attack Force. Once you make it go to defense mode and sacrifice
it, the Call Of The Haunted will not go away. This causes you
to only be able to use four slots.
Information in this section was contributed by SoBeboy09.
Glitch: Card Of Sanctity: The description of Card Of Sanctity" reads "Each
player draws cards until they have 6 cards in their hand."
However, when played it destroys every card on your side of the
field and discards your hand. Afterwards, you will draw two cards
and nothing happens to your opponent.
Information in this section was contributed by ShadowSED.
Once you get Card of Sanctity the card text will say "Each
player draws cards until they have 6 cards in their hand."
However once you play it the effect will remove all of your cards
on the field and in your hand from the game, and you will draw
until you have two cards in your hand, as the real card's text
reads from the Lost Millennium pack.

Glitch: Copycat: When dueling, summon Copycat when there is a Scape-Goat
on the field. Copy the Scape-Goat and Copycat will have over 28,000
attack points.

Glitch: Dark Paladin: When you get Dark Paladin, the main picture of it is
the one from Dark Revelation 1 (full view). If you hold R
while it is highlighted, you will see the picture from the Duel
Master's Guide (closer view)
Information in this section was contributed by Spencer Ficiur.
Glitch: Hero Signal: Jaden Yuki's favorite card is glitched in this game.
After the "elemental hero" monster is special summoned
by Hero Signal, it is on the duel playing field, but the CPU completely
ignores it. Attacks with the Hero Signaled card only on the opposing
side become direct attacks.

Glitch: Spark Gun: If you have Elemental Hero Thunder Giant on your side
of the field, you can still play the magic card Spark Gun. However
you cannot equip anything and the game will not continue, as it
will keep telling you to equip the card.
Information in this section was contributed by kyle.
Glitch: Trap Hole: Trap Hole destroys a monster when it is normally summoned
to the field (excluding Special Summon) with an attack of 1,000
or more. It can also work on monsters with the attack of 900 or
less if the monsters are an effect of a card. For example, when
using a Field Spell Card such as Molten Destruction and you summon
Ultimate Baseball Kid (500/1000) its attack will become 1,000
making it a target for Trap Hole especially with Ultimate Baseball
Kid's effect (increase the attack of the this by 1,000 for each
Fire type monster other than this card on your side of field),
even using Little Chimera (600/500) without Molten Destruction,
Little Chimera's effect (increase the attack of all Fire type
monsters on the field by 500 points and decrease the attack of
Water type monsters on the field by 400 points). When Little Chimera
is summon the attack becomes 1100 making it a target for Trap
Hole.
