In-game reset:
Press Select + Start + A + B during game play to return to the main screen.

60 missiles and 99 health:
Enter your ship and run left to right until both walls are hit once.

Alternate ending sequence:
Successfully complete the game in three hours or less and Samus will be wearing a bikini in the ending sequence.

Hint: Defeating Alpha Metroid:
Normally, when you are in a room with an Alpha Metroid, it will not start moving until you get somewhat close to it. If you jump up and shoot it with a missile at a distance, it will appear to do nothing. However, if you then get close enough so that it starts chasing you, it will immediately take damage from the missile you shot earlier. This can be used to get some extra space at the beginning of the fight, and to kill it faster.

Hint: Defeating Queen Metroid:
If you escape in the small tunnel directly under the Queen, you will be able to refill your energy and missiles and go back at the Queen. The Metroids that you fought earlier will not be there.
