Hint: Easy points:
Unlock the Ford Lightning SVT truck. Go to "Production
Racing" in race now mode. Choose a truck (for example, Mark
Martin). Select Talladega (the longer the race, the more points
you can get). Start the race. All the AI trucks will only reach
about 80 mph. You can get lots of points for leading, plus bonus
points for each truck you lap. The lap ratio is about 2 to 1.
In a six lap race it is possible to lap the field three times.
racefn38.
Note: Just after you put your second lap on the entire field,
slam on your brakes and let them pass you back. Then, hammer the
gas and pass them again. Keep doing this, as you will get 25 bonus
points lapping an opponent for each truck. This results in an
additional 175 points every time you re-pass them. Because you
still keep them one lap down, you will continue to get your leading
points even when you sitting still waiting for them to re-pass
you.
r.d.duarte.
Select the Ford SVT Lightning and Elliot Sadler (the blue truck)
at Talladega. Dive down at the start of the race to pass everyone
while they get up to speed and start pulling away.
Cody Tilson.
Hint: Easy wins:
Spin out or cause a wreck to get a caution 5 laps before
the halfway point in the race (for example, in a 30 lap race it
would be caution lap 10). Then, under caution, pit and get everything
(tires and full of fuel). You will not have to come down pitroad
unless there is another caution, while everyone else will have
to pit. This only works for the medium race length (12%) and is
best in the truck series. It also works in the Busch series, but
not as often. This trick 99% of the time in trucks, and 85% of
the time in Busch.
A Cercek.
Hint: Easy Bud Shootout and Nextel Challenge
win:
When you are racing in the Bud Shootout or Nextel Challenge,
pit on the first lap. After everyone else pits, you should have
good track position and be able to win. If you come out in the
lead, get ready to block.
Nascarforever20.
Hint: Daytona: Catching air:
Choose a series that runs at Daytona. Select that track,
then to the grass at the bottom of turn three. Stay close to the
rail there. Your car or truck should fly in the air after a few
seconds. Note: That bump marks the exact position where Dale Earnhardt
came to rest after hitting Kennyboy at the 2001 Daytona 500.
Chuck Rehbock.
Hint: Bump draft:
This trick works best at super speedways. once you
get behind a car, bump him in the center of the rear end. Do not
spin him out or swipe the rear end. If done correctly, this will
move you and the car ahead of you up through the pack. It should
not affect the respect you have for him. Do not do this in the
turns -- just on the straight aways.
llzm.
When at Daytona or Talladega in any series on the front or backstretch,
you will get sucked up to the back bumper of the person in front
of you. When this happens, immediately before you hit their bumper,
press Share Draft. You will be directly against their bumper
all the way to the turn.
Dustin Dill.
Hint: Drift corners:
Get a Featherlite and go to a short track such as Dodge
Raceway Stadium, Levi Strauss Signature Track, etc. Around the
corners, get your car halfway on the apron and half on the track.
Your car should start sliding, but not enough to spin. Note: You
will lose some time, but not a lot.
Gtea327.
Hint: Victory lap:
Win a race, then press Start before the Rival/Ally
screen appears to run a victory celebration. After your celebration,
press Start again to continue.
Hint: Victory donuts in two player mode:
If one of the two players wins the race , after the
race have the player who won press Start before the race
results screen appears. The winning player will be free to do
a victory lap or donuts.
Gtea327.
Hint: Hero or villain:
If you are a hero, your share draft will go up quicker
than your intimidate. If you are a villain, your intimidate will
go up quicker than your share draft. Also when you have a rival,
they will slam directly into you, whether you touch them or not.
Sal Paratore.
When you start to share draft or intimidate another driver, pause
game play. Select "Resume" and the bar will flash for
the entire time while it increases. When it stops flashing you
will know if they are a full rival or ally.
Bikerboyjan9.
Hint: Easy hero rating:
Have your "Fight To The Top" settings at
Dash (4%) race length and that "Unlimited Fuel" and
"Unlimited Tires" are on. Then in a race at Daytona
or Talladega, share draft with someone until they have a bright
green name indicator. Then, share draft with another driver for
the same amount of time. Keep repeating this and you should be
able to make five to ten full allies in one race.
A Cercek.
Hint: Easy villain rating:
Have your "Fight To The Top" settings with
"Cautions" off. Then at any race, turn around and deliberately
run into cars. This will cause them to be angry at you and your
villain rating will get very high, very quickly.
A Cercek.
Hint: Cause huge crash:
Select a car in either the Busch or Nextel series.
Try to qualify in last place. Start the race, and when it says
to brake and turn left onto the grass, go the wrong way. When
you see the leader, hit him and all of the cars behind will go
flying. At least three cars will catch on fire, depending on how
fast you crashed into them. If that happens, they will be out
of the race. Keep going the wrong way and hitting people. After
awhile they will all be out of the race and you will be the only
one remaining. You can then win the race with no problems. Note:
This works best at Daytona with the full amount of laps. This
is also a good way to make rivals if you are a villain.
Shane Coffey.
Hint: Get Dale Earnhardt early:
Use the following trick to get The Intimidator as soon
as you start the game. First, go to select your favorite driver.
On top, you should see Dale Earnhardt as a selectable favorite
driver. When you choose him, you will automatically get his Thunder
Plate. Later, you can change the favorite driver to whomever desired
and still have the Thunder Plate.
