Hint: Opposing Gamebreakers on defense:
If your opponent has a defensive Gamebreaker, the best thing to do is set up a shotgun then throw quick passes. Throw the passes immediately after the ball is snapped because you will not get hit and fumble the ball for the other team to get great field position, or even worse a touchdown. Also, you want the other team to waste their Gamebreaker.

Call a pass play when the other team has a Gamebreaker on defense. Pass the ball past the first down line to the side. Once the ball is caught, run out of bounds and you will save yourself a fumble and gain the first down. Repeat this as needed.

Hint: Using Gamebreakers:
If you are skilled enough on offense to score almost every time you have the ball, do not waste your Gamebreaker on offense. Use it on defense so you can get the ball back and score again immediately.

Hint: Easy sacks:
When you are on defense, choose the plays that use all three defensive linemen across the frontline. For example, select the "MLB Blitz" play from the "Stop Run" or "Short Pass" playbook. Once the screen switches from playbook view to field view, you will see that you have all three defensive linemen across the front of the other team's offense, and that directly behind your defensive line is your linebacker. Use this player to run straight up between your defensive linemen that is in the middle of the line and another one of your linemen either on the right or left, depending on the way that the play and QB moves. Once the ball is snapped, notice that it only takes a second or two to sack the QB, which is the amount of time it takes for the CU-controlled QB to throw the ball. This strategy not only works with this play (MLB Blitz) but with any defensive play that allows for three defensive linemen to line up across the front line with a linebacker directly behind the defensive line. This strategy can stop some of the running plays and is excellent for stopping reverses. If you get blocked, it will free up one of your defensive linemen and he will get to the QB faster.

When you are on defense, choose "All Plays" and select "Lock Down". Take your linebacker and put him at the end of your line (right). Hold Turbo + Down and when they call hut, go after the quarterback. The linebacker must have good speed, good defensive moves, and good tackling.

Go to Stop Run and select "Containment". When the game starts you will see a player on each side of and slightly behind the defensive line. Play as one of them and hold Turbo. As soon as the ball snaps, run around the line for a sack. Do not go up to the line of scrimmage until the ball is snapped or you will be blocked by the RB or OL. This works very well with a fast player that can get to the QB before he hands off or passes the ball.

Hit an opponent against a wall. Use Warren Sapp for better results.

Hint: Easy interceptions:
Have your best wide receiver be at the very last side of the screen on the right. When the ball is snapped, there will be a 50% chance of him passing it. He will be most likely to be passing to the man on the right of the screen, where your best wide receiver is located. When he passes the ball, press Y to make an interception.

If you want to call an audible, press L then Up for a "go long" play, or Down for a "direct snap" play.

Hint: Power tackle:
Hold L, then press B. You should do a more powerful tackle. Make sure you are lined up with the player or you will fly into the air. Note: This also will also increase the chance for a fumble.

Hint: Better players in NFL Challenge mode:
Do not use all of your tokens all of a sudden when you are almost completed. Instead, use the green-colored sign with a fist on it. It gets you more than you asked for, and you can still get more points taken up for the same price it would have been.

Choose the Falcons for quick game mode. First, choose first Keith Brooking, the hardest hitter. Next, pick Patrick Kerney, a defensive linemen. Select Michael Vick and either Warrick Dunn or TJ. Ray Buchanan and Bob Whitfield make a even better team. Finally, choose Peerlice Price, one of the best wide receivers.
