1. Downtime notice - Oct. 17, 2017

Well, it's a permanent downtime. After 22 years of service it's time for a final goodbye. Our live production servers will be taken offline on October 17th. The simple fact is that there are plenty of better ways to get the secrets hidden in games and connect with other gamers. There are plenty of Youtube channels and Twitch streams that will show games played at their best, something that plain text and screenshots can't convey. If you want to connect to other gamers outside of those services, there are plenty of Discord servers that offer a direct and engaging community experience.

Please visit our friends at GameFAQs.com or IGN.com for information such as codes, guides, reviews, etc. They're the real deal and have always been respectful and honest about how they operate. Our ghost pages can be found on Archive.org for those times that you'd like to take a look back at how things were.

Thanks to everyone that has contributed content and time managing our community, and especially to you, our dear visitors!

Our last words: "Up ,Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, Select, Start"

    Fav MAC game: Bolo
A 2d tile-based tank game where the max number of players is however many join the server! 32 macs in mac-lab = 32 player bolo! And there's a Windows version out! Sweet deal! :D

    Others:
Dirt Bike, Oregon Trail, Fraction Munchers, Glider, Q-Bert
and that program where you input variables and angles to get that 'turtle' through the maze! - Green and black screen days!

A fun thing in Oregon Trail was to give your family members the names of classmates and teachers! - "Mme Bison has died of (disease)" :D

poop one: Yes American McGee's Alice was ported to mac, the port was done by Westlake Interactive and published by Aspyr.

The first Mac game I ever played was called Wave 15 on an old Classic II. My favourite would be the Marathon series, best developed story in a game ever, honorable mention goes to The Scarab of RA and X-Wing.

I've graduated since then to stuff like Unreal Tournament and Age of Empires II, but I still hold The Scarab of RA very dear, I found it on the internet a while ago, still available from the same shareware company, and better yet it works on my computer! It probably wouldn't work on OSX, maybe classic...maybe. That game is ancient.

I got Oregon Trail free with my printer or something I think...good game.

I loved Oregon Trail and World Munchers. Only educational games that stood out. I never played the Marathon games, but I would love to try them out sometime.

I remember in 3rd grade there was this game were you were a rolli polli and you had to go through all these diffrent grass levels. I remember I was the first one to beat it. It was so fun but I don't remember what it was called.

Aztaka is one of my favourite Mav game in these days it seems like the return of the sidescroller and have been action sidescrollers, stealth sidescrollers, underwater puzzle sidescrollers, and now even an action-RPG sidescroller, Aztaka.
