Samurai Jack has returned, possibly to bring the series to a close... about damn time, Genndy.

It's been 50 years since Jack got transported to the future, and he hasn't aged a day.
    He's suffering from delusions.

And, apparently- he's lost his sword!

From the trailer though, it doesn't look like he needs it.

I was about ready to detonate my 'ends-all-life-on-earth' bomb, as I missed the SERIES FINALE OF SAMURAI JACK due to work, and it was NOT available through onDemand and good ol' Netflix doesn't even carry the series. :bashhead:  so, spiteful at the world for depriving me the epic finale of the indisputable "best cartoon series ever" i was angry.
I calmed down, and decided to give onDemand time to get it in it's library.

That said, I'm busy preping for PaizoCon this weekend. I volunteered to run three [Pathfinder, tabletop RPG] tables, and got saddled with an needlessly complicated scenario that may result in a Total Party Kill depending on the party composition and their luck in making makeshift armor and loot. And I'm also running the massive campaign, known as a full-room special.
    W00t, wish me luck.

I've been taking the time to digest the E3 conferences, decided that I want it all and I want it now, and have since been going back on a lovely trip down memory lane by replaying Fable 3.

Other than that, been a relatively boring time of late. Same ole', same ole'...

I was just on vacation for a week. Family rented a big beach house with heated pool and it was great. Lots of eating, swimming, drinking and most importantly, I discovered the awesomeness of the board game Settlers of Catan.

I've also been following E3, though my Wallet committed suicide somewhere along the way... Looks like a lot of great titles coming up! But on the plus side Horizon Zero Dawn is like half off on PSstore so I might be getting that. Also, kudos on the Queen reference, intentional or not. :)

Settlers is a really fun game, played it alot on and off. It can be almost as friendship and family destroying as Monopoly.. :D

I had been playing as a neutral observer of the thief and working with people that did not hit me with the thief. Remaining neutral for as long as possible has paid off dividends for me. Though I've lost all of the games so far. Closest I came to winning was a game that I couldn't collect resources at all but compiled 4 victory point cards and had them hidden until I got the longest road card then showed them all with my 3 settlements to give me 9 points. Unfortunately, both of my opponents had 9 points and ended the game on the next turn because they were flush with resources to keep building.

About Horizon Zero Dawn - do it! It's my favorite game of 2017, even over Zelda and Persona 5 so far. They announced and expansion for it, which makes me very happy.

Yeah, so many games looked really good this year. I'm excited for the two Metroid games, the Mario/Rabbids game, Days Gone, God of War, Detroit, Skull and Bones, South Park, Anthem, Cuphead, Tacoma, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Destiny 2, and a couple of others. My wallet lost faith in me many moons ago, but this coming year or two might just finish it off . Doubtful I'll actually purchase even half of that list, but wow does it look like a solid lineup. That new Spiderman game looks interesting, as well (VERY Batman Arkham-esque...), but I'm a bit on the fence as to whether or not it'll be good, or just like every other Spiderman game so far...

Half off of Horizon? I might need to jump on that, too. I've got the Collector's Edition sitting at home, untouched. I've had so much going on since its' release I haven't been able to play it, and now the collector in me is thinking "just leave it sealed," but I also really want to give it a go, so half off of the digital game might just be the perfect solution!

E3 didn't do much for me apart from Metroid Prime 4. That is awesome. The new trailer from Mario Odyssey was nice, too.

Spiderman might be interesting but I'm getting tired of super hero things lately.

The Metroid Prime trilogy was one of my favorite games for the Gamecube/Wii era, and I really hope MP4 will carry on its legacy! Heck I've loved Metroid since the NES days.. Super Metroid is still a favorite!

As I mentioned in the HZD thread, my first impressions of the game are great! It has the makings of a really good and entertaining game!

Attended an "Old Neighborhood" reunion this past Saturday. Saw some teenage friends I haven't seen in 40+ years. They all looked so OLD.

Still, more than a few of them were sneaking off to smoke weed. I joined them once or twice because, while I quit that shit decades ago, I still love the aroma. I go all Fred Flintstone and hover in mid-air, being wafted along until I locate the source.

I came armed with a handful of funny stories from the "good old days" and heard a bunch of equally hilarious stories from others that had completely slipped my mind over the years.

No one but me (admitted that they) still played videogames, though.

I visited @Coleman a few weeks ago and we found the coolest place at one of the old malls. It was like a giant McDonalds play place type thing that I wanted to go in. It was all kids there so it would have been weird. Then he gave my daughters a really annoying stuffed bear that keeps talking all the time.

I don't know why I'm friends with him.

I'm sure your well brought up daughters are showing their immense gratitude by constantly playing with this bear. It's the polite thing to do.

I insisted that they do. She was running upto me and playing it, and I was like "you have to make sure to annoy your dad as often as possible ok?"

    Mission accomplished.

That makes you an honorary grandparent, because that's what grandparents do.

That and feeding the kids a boatload of sugar right before they are sent home.

Totally dependent on the sugar. If he gives them sugar before sending them home, he's a grandparent.

I have him on contract to threaten and beat up any kid that tries to date my daughters. So that makes him the crazy uncle.

And Tom is now on the FBI watch list...

I did get a Worcester amber alert last night at 11:30.... If Tom doesn't post for a while, I'm going to assume it was him.

Just kidding, they caught the asshole and the girl that was kidnapped is safe.

One of the unexpected bonuses of having a toddler is that it's absolutely vital that you accompany them into soft play areas. For their own protection, obviously. It would be irresponsible not to. Ahem.

Yeah, and as they get older you have to try out other things like steep-as-hell slides and other fu- I mean dangerous things. You know, for the responsibility and stuff.
