1. Downtime notice - Oct. 17, 2017

Well, it's a permanent downtime. After 22 years of service it's time for a final goodbye. Our live production servers will be taken offline on October 17th. The simple fact is that there are plenty of better ways to get the secrets hidden in games and connect with other gamers. There are plenty of Youtube channels and Twitch streams that will show games played at their best, something that plain text and screenshots can't convey. If you want to connect to other gamers outside of those services, there are plenty of Discord servers that offer a direct and engaging community experience.

Please visit our friends at GameFAQs.com or IGN.com for information such as codes, guides, reviews, etc. They're the real deal and have always been respectful and honest about how they operate. Our ghost pages can be found on Archive.org for those times that you'd like to take a look back at how things were.

Rumourmill suggests some tasty games on my 2015 radar. Mirrors Edge 2, Just Cause 3, Crackdown (3), Quantum Break are all likely purchases. As well as The Witness if, as Jonathan Blow really subtly suggested at E3 2013 might have a time frame to it's PS4 exclusivity (Holding out for a X One release).
My maybe list is Halo 5, The Elder Scrolls Online, The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed: Victory and possibly some that I forgot.

I'm interested in The Order: 1886 as it seems like a fun game, Batman Arkham Knight and the Legend of Zelda Wii U

Definitely Batman: Arkham Knight, Halo 5, Quantum Break and Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell (all Xbox One) as well as Legend of Zelda Wii U.

I'm also playing catch-up on the Wii U side, so looking to pick up Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and a few others along the way. I'm a bit fuzzier on the PS4 side for exclusives in 2015, but if it's due out this year, then Uncharted 4 is on my list, for sure.

The Witcher 3 is my easily most awaited game. It looks like it could be the best rpg in a long time. Honorable mention goes to batman and no mans sky.

Great shout, although there are already rumours that it'll slip into 2016. Hopefully it'll be more like the original then the lazy outsourced sequel.

After having played Unity, I'm much more positive. If they can just add the required polish then it'll be fantastic. And hey, they can even reuse the voices from Unity! :D

Bit wary of this. Looks phenomenal, but those who have played it haven't reported great things. Still, they were playing early code so I'll give them a fair chance.

Also wary of this. Whilst the game looks really neat and has impressive scope for an indie project, we still haven't really heard a great deal about what you actually do in it. Still, one I am looking out for this year.

Aside from those quotedabove, in rough chronological order, I'm looking out for:

    • Evolve
    • American Truck Simulator (sequel to Euro Truck Simulator 2)
    • Battlefield Hardline, and specifically how it has evolved (or not) from the beta.
    • GTA V PC (delayed again!)
    • Cities: Skylines; a proper new SimCity?)
    • PGA Tour, they're almost trying to make golf fun!
    • Forza 6, as a shameless fanboy.
    • GT7, although I'm incredibly optimistic to even suggest it'll release before 2017...
    • Halo 5, as long as 343 don't f*ck up the release like the MCC.
    • Hotline Miami 2
    • Homefront: The Revolution; it'll be interesting to see how the new team does with what is an interesting premise.
    • Journey on PS4
    • Just Cause 3; 2 was one of the great sandboxes and the PC multiplayer mod was fantastic.
    • Mario Maker; that is, once I've finally got a Wii U...
    • MGS V; never got into this series despite my love for (old) Splinter Cell, but this looks amazing.
    • Quantum Break
    • Ratchet & Clank; shame it's a remake.
    • RollerCoaster Tycoon World; please be good! Not confident, but please!
    • Splatooooon; will Nintendo make a half decent online game?
    • Star Fox; geared for total disappointment with this one.
    • Star Wars Battlefront; for me nostalgia has led to the first ones being overrated, but still, Star Wars.... Featuring pre-order bonus Jar Jar Binks!
    • New Zelda
    • Old Zelda in 3D
    • Tom Cuhlancy's The Division
    • Tom Cuhlancy's Rainbow Six; sexist edition (according to that crackers guy from Gamespot who in naturally unrelated events was sacked soon after)
    • Uncharted 4; less linear edition.
    • Whore of the Orient; name inspired by studio founder Brendan McNamara....will likely be a bit disappointing like The Getaway and LA Noire, but the setting is interesting.
    • Yoshi's Woolly World; I'm 23. F*ck me. I might have to restart the platform games club.

Note that I am not buying all of that stuff, it's just what I'm watching out for. I'm not that insane!

as I've gotten older, I've had to be careful with my gaming lists...I dislike buying games but then never having the time to play them! With that said...

Bloodborne (maybe, need to see how it works post-release)
    Type-0 for PS4
    FFX/FFX-2 remake for PS4
    FFXV (God willing)
Mass Effect Trilogy for PS4 (maybe?? There have been hints of it)
    Persona 5
    KH3 (????)

(I'd also put the next AC but realistically would not actually get to playing it in 2015...playing Black Flag right now)

You guys have definitely intrigued me about the Witcher btw...I heard it's like DA?

Person 5, Yakuza 5 and The Witcher 3

I'll probably get all three at release which is odd since i rarely pay full price for games

Edit, oh and Hotline Miami 2

That's probably the most similar game currently out. Add in more Skyrim in terms of battle system, you only have one character and you are confined to a couple of spells and two swords but the writing in the game is the best in the RPG world. Not as many cliche characters and plots and much more mature theming. Nothing kiddy friendly here. The music is also different than you'd expect and very awesome.

The new game is supposed to have a world larger than any RPG world we've seen and have over 100 hours of content. The game is more open ended than most, the Witcher 2 had sequences where you could either kill or let major characters live, and basically take an entire separate path through the middle of the game.

Geralt is an amazing main character and the inclusions of Yennefer and Ciri should make the game incredible. I've even heard that Ciri might be a playable character at certain points.

And to add to the glowing points, the developer CD Projekt Red has already announced that all DLC and extra content will be free of charge. They are pretty much the most popular developer on the internet gaming world right now.

I'd love a new Fallout. I didn't play much of 3, but New Vegas was so so so good. Obsidian makes buggy games, but their story telling ability makes up for it.

I have two games pre-ordered right now: The Order 1886 and The Witcher 3.

I wouldn't be surprised if The Order isn't well-received. It seems like quite a few people are a bit nervous for it, and it's not really getting a ton of hype (though that could also mean it will blow people away). With that said, it's pretty easy for me to overlook flaws in some games, so it looks interesting enough that I'll take a shot. Also, I don't mind if it's a short single-player adventure since I won't have much time the next few months.

The Witcher 3 will probably be the end of productivity for me as I know it. I've played RPGs before, but never something to this scale. I was only just getting into them when my 360 died, and haven't picked up one for PS4 yet. I'm trying not to look into the details of this game because I know it's going to be great anyways, so there's no point getting too excited when we still have a few months to go.

Some other games I'm interested in, but not sure if they'll be out in 2015:

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 - If this happens, I will be incredibly happy. We just need Galactic Conquest, and I'm good.

No Man's Sky - I'm not certain I'd buy this, but I really want to know more about what it is.

Bloodborne - Holding off on this for now due to time restrictions, but maybe after The Witcher 3 I'll buy it. I've never played a Souls game, and everything I've heard for the last couple years suggests these games are among the best around.

Sign me up! Have you heard of A Hat In Time? It's supposed to be like a Banjo-Kazooie-type game. I have no idea if it will actually come out in 2015, or if it will be on anything other than PC, but it's hyped up as the game to look out for if you're into platforming collectathons.

EA will likely push for a holiday 2015 release which means production will be rushed and there will be plenty of glitches, bugs, crashes, and server issues.

It will probably come out around the same time as the movie, so you're right, but I'm willing to give it a shot. It's one of the few games that I know all of my friends will buy as well, so I may just have to deal with glitches and buy it anyways.

Despite the fact that many major games have glitches these days, I've really never come across anything too bad yet.
