Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest
Automatic home run:
Wait until you are controlling Ken Griffey Jr. at bat.
Press Left(2), Right(3), Left(2). Ken Griffey
Jr. will point his bat in the direction where the ball will be
hit to confirm correct code entry. Successfully connect on a pitch
to automatically hit a home run.
Exploding batter:
Quickly press Right, Left, Down,
Right, Left, Up, Right, Left,
Down while batting. The batter will reappear with the next
pitch.
Press Left, Right, Down, Left, Right,
Up, Left, Right, Down or Up,
Down, Left, Up, Down, Right,
Up, Down, Left while pitching and have the
box set. The batter will explode and the other batter will come
up to the plate.

View fireworks:
Select exhibition mode. Then, press Z at the
stadium selection screen to enter "View Stadium" mode.
Then, press R + Z to shoot fireworks near the home
plate section of the stadium.
Flying outfielder:
Wait until a pop fly to the outfield is hit by your
opponent. Allow the ball to drop, then pick it up. Hold Z
and press C-Up to run into the infield with the ball. Then,
press C-Right, C-Up, C-Left, C-Down,
C-Left, C-Up, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up,
C-Left, C-Down to throw the ball to various bases.
The crowd will boo to confirm correct code entry. Intentionally
ignore the next ball that is hit into the outfield, and repeatedly
tap A or B to fly.
View CPU pitches:
Press R on controller two when your team is
at bat.
Big head mode:
Win the World Series under the rookie difficulty setting.
Then, create a player with the name CODE BIGGHEDZ. A sound
will confirm correct code entry.
CPU vs. CPU mode:
Win the World Series under the all-star difficulty
setting. Then, create a player with the name CODE CPUVSCPU.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Tick team:
Win the World Series under the veteran difficulty setting.
Then, create a player with the name CODE THETICK. A sound
will confirm correct code entry.
Big feet:
Create a player with the name CODE BIGFOOT
or CODE BIGFEET. A sound will confirm correct code
entry.
Super players:
Create a player with the name CODE SUPERHUMAN.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Invisible team:
Create a player with the name CODE INVISIBLEMAN.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Thin team:
Create a player with the name CODE TOOTHPICK.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Small team:
Create a player with the name CODE LIDDLELEAGUE.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Weeble team:
Create a player with the name CODE WEEBLEMAN.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Flat team:
Create a player with the name CODE STEAMROLLED.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Big bats:
Create a player with the name CODE PHATTBATT.
A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Secret teams:
Create a player with the name CODE EMOTIONS.
A sound will confirm correct code entry. The new teams can be
used in any mode except for season mode. Alternatively, win the
World Series with any team to unlock Team Nintendo or Team Angel
Studios.

Change batting mode:
Begin game play in arcade mode with the batting set
to arcade mode. While your opponent has a man on base, press Z
+ A or B to start a pitch. Then, while your pitcher
is winding up, press C-Up, C-Left, or C-Right.
When the button is released, the pitch will be thrown in classic
mode, instead of arcade mode.
Created player names:
Use one of the following names with a created player
and it will be announced during the game.

Hint: Pick off play:
When your team is on defense and a CPU player is on
base, intentionally throw a bad pitch, then press C-Down.
Your catcher will be able to move. Run at the runner that is leading
off the base and tag him out. You can even get double or triple
plays with this trick.

Hint: Easy no-hitter:
Walk every player on your opponent's team until the
bases are loaded. Then, throw a ball and press C-Down and
tag every player. Note: This also works as a shutout and triple
play.

Hint: Restore pitcher's energy:
After a a game in season mode, select "Free Agents",
remove your pitcher and select a new one. Immediately remove the
new pitcher and choose your original pitcher again from the free
agents.
Hint: Hit the roof:
While batting in Homerun Derby mode, bat at the Skydome
with Jim Thome. Aim under the ball. If this is done correctly,
the ball will hit the roof and fall down onto the field. It will
count as a homerun.

Hold Analog-stick Down at the game type selection
screen the ball is turned on exhibition and press C-Up
+ C-Down + C-Left + C-Right.

Glitch: Confused pitcher:
Have the batter bunt the ball to the pitcher. Have
the pitcher dive twice at the ball, and get the ball on the second
attempt. The pitcher will stand and begin walking in circles.
Glitch: Throw from inside the stands:
Begin game play in any mode except home run derby.
Make sure that auto-fielding is off in the options menu. When
it is your turn pitch, wait until a ball is hit into the outfield.
Get the ball and run either to the stands on the left or right.
Throw the ball to the base to which the runner is running to.
It will as if you are far in the stands because you get smaller.
You can still see yourself while you throw the ball.
