Versus mode:
Hold L + R on controller two and press Start on controller one when Sachiel and Eva 01 battle during demo mode. Boxes for player one and two will appear on the screen. Press Left or Right on either controller to change the value in the box to select the corresponding character. Press A on controller one to start the match.

E01: Eva Unit 01
E02: Eva Unit 02
E03: Eva Unit 03
SAC: Sachiel
SHA: Shamshiel
BAR: Bardiel
E.S: Seele Eva-05 Series-R
RND: Random character

To play a versus match on mission 11, start that mission in simulation mode. Hold Z + R + C-Up on controller two before the animation sequence for that mission starts. You will start a versus match as Eva Unit 00. To select a different Eva, replace C-Up with C-Down (Eva Unit 01), C-Left (Eva Unit 02), or C-Right (Eva Unit 03). Note: Player two will be able to select any other Eva unit.

All options:
When Sachiel and Eva 01 battle during demo mode, wait until the text ''BEC Section 3'' appears, then hold C-Up + C-Left + C-Right on controller two while pressing A on controller one.

Sound test option:
Successfully complete the game under the easy difficulty setting. Note: This also unlocks the normal difficulty setting.

Model option:
Successfully complete the game under the normal difficulty setting to unlock model mode. This option allows all of the character models to be viewed. Note: This also unlocks the hard difficulty setting.

Action option:
Successfully complete the game under the hard difficulty setting. This option allows all previously unlocked animation sequences to be viewed again.

Additional difficulty settings:
Successfully complete the game under the easy difficulty setting to unlock the normal difficulty setting. Successfully complete the game under the normal difficulty setting to unlock the hard difficulty setting.
