go into the air, then jump up and press Up + L to
do a powerful kick. This should make your opponent fly up. Repeat
until your opponent flies into the horizon.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Choose any character. Knock your enemy down and run to them. Get
next to them and press A. This should knock most of your
opponents off the platform.
Information in this section was contributed by CHEECHNCHONG10.
Hint: Alternate hits:
If you are hanging, press A, B, R
or Z for a normal hit. However, if you have 100 or more
damage points your hits will be different. Yoshi and Kirby will
do something funny.
Information in this section was contributed by wcvannoo.
Hint: Box and barrel attack:
Press Forward + A while holding a box
or barrel. The item will move faster and farther, and can also
be used as a quick attack.
Information in this section was contributed by Dende9387.
Hint: Throwing items:
Often when throwing an item (R +D-pad)
at an enemy that has at least 60 to 80 damage, it will cause them
to go flying and do more damage than normal. Dashing and then
throwing the item will be more effective. This is a good way to
effectively hurt a person with a fan.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Hint: Spin attack:
Choose any character in any mode. Use C-Up 1CE
or 2CE. Aim your character towards your opponent. While you are
in the air directly above your opponent, press Down + B.
You should do a spin right into your opponent.
Information in this section was contributed by Pokeval.
Hint: Spike attack:
Many characters have a spiking move that guarantees
a KO 100% of the time if done correctly. You need to be by the
edge of a level and there has to be a player trying to get back
on. Many of the players have a "spike" move that sends
opponents straight down and gets them a KO. For most players the
spike move is Down + A, but some players such as
Donkey Kong have another one by pressing Forward + A.
Timing is important here. When you see the player trying to get
back, jump out as they near the stage. Donkey Kong's Forward
+ A move works much easier than the other Down +
A moves. Get above them but before they make it over the
stage, and do the spike move. If done correctly, the opponent
will go straight down and have almost no chance to get back. Make
sure you can make it back to a safe location.
Information in this section was contributed by Jacob.
Hint: Weakened moves:
If you use a special move constantly (for example,
Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch), it will do progressively less
damage each time you use it. You will have to use a different
attack for a while or wait a bit. Test this out in the training
mode. If Kirby steals an ability, not only does this apply to
his natural moves but also the ability that he took from his foe.
Information in this section was contributed by Jon Ly.
Hint: Extra boost:
When you use the powerful Up + B attack
most characters will do an attack that will give them another
extra boost. This is most effective after a jump and a double
jump. Here is what happens.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Ness: Press Up + B to make him do PK Thunder. However,
if you make it turn and hit him, he will get a very powerful boost
in any direction. You will not get hurt.
Fox: Press Up + B and he will do a charge for Fire
Fox. He can do it in any direction by pressing the Analog-stick
when he charges.
Samus: Press Up + B to do a mid-air roll that does
damage similar to Mario's Super Jump.
Pikachu: Press Up+B to do Agility. If you press
Left or Right immediately after that, you will move
twice.
Jigglypuff: Pressing Up + B does not do anything.
However, if you jump, punch, float, punch, and continue in that
pattern you can go very far distances (but not much in height).
Kirby: Press Up + B to make Kirby do his Final Cutter,
making it go slightly higher for a split second. Do this only
if you know that a quick, short boost will get you to where you
want to go.
Mario: Press Up + B to have Mario do his Super Jump,
giving him about as much boost as a regular jump would.
Luigi: Same as Mario.
Yoshi: None.
Captain Falcon: Press Up + B to have him do a spin
in mid-air that can easily be controlled.
Donkey Kong: Press Up + B to have him do a helicopter
attack that will boost him. This will not boost him if he is on
the ground.
Link: Press Up + B and he will do a sword spin attack that
boosts him. This will not boost him if he is touching the ground.
Hint: Quick stats:
Unlock Item Switch mode and only enable the Homerun
Bat. Set the character difficulty to "1" on all four
of the enemies (or just make them Human players). Also, use either
Stock>99 or Time>99. Then, hit them with the bat using the
Smash attack (A + Analog-stick Left or Analog-stick
Right). Note: This works best in an open area with no walls
or bumpers.
Information in this section was contributed by MelloProto.
Hint: Pokemon message:
Start a match in the Silph Co. stage. Allow your character
to get hit by the Pokeball billboard. Quickly pause game play
and move the screen so you can read the pole that holds up the
billboard. The message "gotta catch 'em all" written
sideways can be seen.
Information in this section was contributed by MiniJbird.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Falcon Punch:
To actually see the Falcon Punch, pause game play while
he punches. You will be able to see that his punch is in the shape
of a falcon.
Information in this section was contributed by Seth Tilley and Lane Frisbie.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Extra damage:
Select training mode and put four red shells behind
an opponent. Do the Falcon Punch move and it will do 999% damage.
Information in this section was contributed by mayjoe.com.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Hit opponent as they
escape:
When your opponent keeps rolling around and you cannot
hit them, press B to do the Falcon Punch. While charging
up, hold Back, so when they try to escape by going in back
of you, you will hit them. Note: This works well against the CPU.
Information in this section was contributed by supergoku1990.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Skeleton:
Select Captain Falcon and Fox. Go to the ship and have
Captain Falcon get close to Fox. Use Fox's blue shield. When Captain
Falcon is flashing, press Start. If done correctly, he
will appear as a skeleton.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Doepker.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Best combo:
Press A repeatedly to punch, punch,
knee, then rapidly punch your opponent. If he or she gets out
of range, press Down + B to
the Falcon Kick. In total, it can do from 20% to 50% damage.
Information in this section was contributed by 4IFalcon.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Defeating Master
Hand:
Jump in the air when the Master Hand is not attacking
and use the Falcon Punch move. Repeat the process until he is
defeated. Note: The Master Hand's attacks are very strong; they
can reach up to 300% damage. The shield is a very important move
at this stage.
Information in this section was contributed by Brandon Martinez.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Extra damage with
red shells:
Select the Classic Mushroom Kingdom stage in training
mode as Captain Falcon with Jigglypuff as your opponent. Het your
opponent under the lowest platform on the right side of the stage.
Go on that platform and pause game play with three red shells
just right of where your opponent is. Put out the last one a bit
to the left of the other three. Get to the left of your opponent,
almost "inside" him, and perform Captain Falcon's Uppercut
Punch (Analog-stick Up, A). This will send Jigglypuff
into the shells while at the same time you will hit the shells
with the Uppercut Punch, causing them to move. There will be many
of the sounds when a shell hits an opponent, and Jigglypuff's
and your damage will go up rapidly to over 200%.
Information in this section was contributed by ptariell.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Flip:
Press C-Up(2).
Information in this section was contributed by EricSonForce124x.
Hint: Captain Falcon: NBA jump:
Go to one player practice mode. Use Captain Falcon
and set the speed on 1/4. On close-up, do one jump forward then
use the Up + B attack. If someone is in the way
it will not work. If done correctly, it will appear like Captain
Falcon is going for a slam dunk.
Information in this section was contributed by sswarior.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Green team costumes:
Use the following trick to get a yellowish-green costume
with a yellow helmet and yellow boots. Select team battle and
put Caption Falcon on the green team. Note: This is the only way
to get this costume. For other players such as Donkey Kong or
Samus, you have no green costume; putting them on the green team
will give them a green costume.
Information in this section was contributed by Bowsersbud1.
Hint: Captain Falcon: Electrode on top
of platform:
When in the Saffron City stage, wait for an Electrode
to appear. Use Falcon Punch, and the Electrode will appear on
top of the platform.
Information in this section was contributed by James Kruk.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Pokemon punch:
When playing as Donkey Kong, choose the Pokemon Silph
Co. stage, then press B button to make him wind up for
a punch. When the door opens, while the Pokemon is still inside,
approach the door, but do not get close enough to force it out.
Press B again to throw the punch and the Pokemon will go
flying.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
This can also be done with the hammer weapon. Approach the door
when it opens, but do not let the Pokemon out. Simply walk into
the door and the Pokemon should go flying. Note: This trick only
works on some Pokemon.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Easy win
The following trick works best in vs mode, with two
or more stocks. Select Donkey Kong as a character and any level
except for Samus' stage. Defeat your opponent once, then get close
to the edge when he or she comes after your character. Grab him
and press A to place him on your back. Then, jump off the
level before he can get loose. Repeat this until you win as you
can remain one life ahead of your opponent.
Information in this section was contributed by Texasboy87
and MEADJAGAS.
Begin game play in single player mode as Donkey Kong. When fighting
with Metal Mario, press B + Down to slap the ground.
Use this technique until he is heavily damaged. In a minute, you
should have damaged him up to 999%. You can also blow him up in
the sky.
Information in this section was contributed by Sho Murooka.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Combos:
Press Down + B to hit your opponent.
Then jump after him and press Up + B to hit him
again.
Information in this section was contributed by cdaymall.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Head Spin:
Get close to an opponent and press A + Down
to do a head spin
Information in this section was contributed by WATTO1FRIEND.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Get in the barrel:
You can get in the barrel on Donkey Kong's stage by
simply jumping towards it. Press A to get out. Note: The
barrel sometimes moves around -- be careful when you aim.
Information in this section was contributed by Paulo Talion
.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Move or jump with a
barrel:
The only way to move or jump with a barrel is with
Donkey Kong. When you see a barrel, pick it up and you can move
or jump around with it.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Donkey Kong: Quick KO:
Play as Donkey Kong. As soon as you see the player
you want to defeat, walk up to them and press R. Walk off
the edge while still carrying your opponent, and let go when you
know he or she will not make it back. You will get a point for
knocking off your opponent, and lose a point for falling. Your
opponent will just lose a point. Although you will not gain anything,
your friend will lose something, thus giving you the advantage.
Note: This works best when playing one-on-one.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Select Donkey Kong in versus mode and character as the CPU opponent.
Go to the Mushroom Kingdom or Castle stage. At the Mushroom Kingdom
stage, knock your opponent left until you are under the large
brick that has a green tube on the top of it. Press B +
Down to do the Ground Pound. Since there is a brick in
the way to stop your opponent from flying up, he will bounce back
and lay there. Repeatedly press B + Down to get
his/her percentage to 999%. At the Castle stage, throw your opponent
to the left until he/she is under the small green tower. Keep
pressing B + Down to get their percentage to 999%.
Note: This can be done easily when in training mode and having
the CPU just stand there.
Information in this section was contributed by BluThunder
and Codyforcier.
Hint: Get to large platform on Donkey Kong's
stage:
There is a barrel with a white arrow on it. You can
use it to shoot yourself up because the floor on the Donkey Kong
stage is sort of like a platform. Think of it as a huge platform.
You cannot sink under it, but can fly, jump (if possible), or
use an Up + B attack to get to the top of it.
Information in this section was contributed by AJ Ellis.
Hint: Fox: More powerful lasers:
Select Fox and a character that uses a projectile as
a weapon. Have Fox use his Deflect move (Down + B)
and have the other character shoot Fox. He will deflect and the
shot will do about twice as much damage. If a match is played
with two Foxes and on a level plane such as that found on Hyrule
Castle or The Great Fox stages, both can use the deflect trick.
The laser will deflect back and forth, and eventually grow so
powerful that it will destroy one of the Fox's deflection shield.
If a green turtle shell deflects back and forth, pick up the same
shell after it destroys one of the deflection shields. Throw it
at an opponent to see a big explosion. The targeted character
will fly into the wall in a split second. You can use it as much
needed until it disappears.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Fox: Powerful bumpers:
Begin a match on the Mushroom Kingdom stage with Fox
and a lot of bumpers. Bring them right next to the tube on the
left. Have Fox throw a bumper upwards and turn on his reflector.
When it comes down, it will continuously attack his reflector,
break it, and bounce up. When it comes down, you will see a large
explosion about five to seven times, with each hit doing over
100%. This works best in practice mode. It will not work if more
than one bumper is used.
Information in this section was contributed by Theemikeyman.
Hint: Fox: Green shell charge-up:
Fox's reflector shield gives double damage to anything
that can be reflected back, but when the green shell gets reflected
and then does not vaporize, the power stays doubled.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Fox: Superman pose:
Play as Fox, jump, and do the corkscrew move. Pause
game play during the move. If done correctly, Fox will have a
pose similar to Superman when he is flying.
Information in this section was contributed by winderweed.
Hint: Fox: Spin Flip:
Play as Fox and hold onto a ledge. Press Z and
rapidly pause and resume the game. Fox will do a back flip and
a twist in one motion if timed correctly.
Information in this section was contributed by winderweed.
Hint: Fox: Unlimited Reflect move:
Press Down + B to do the Reflect move
and hold it.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Fox: Surprise attack:
Note: This trick works best when when playing with
three or four players. Go to Congo Jungle. When no one is watching,
fall off the edge. Use your double jump to get under the stage,
then press Up + B and move the Analog-stick
in the direction of any opponent on the bottom floor of the stage.
If done correctly, Fox will fly up through the stage and hit your
opponent without them knowing.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Fox: Defeating Master Hand:
Use the Reflector to deflect the shots that Master
Hand fires at you. Note: Do not use this tactic for his poking
attack.
Information in this section was contributed by electromech.
Hint: Fox: Lethal kill:
When playing as Fox in versus mode with a setting of
200% damage, approach any opponent. If stuck next to him, press
B + Down. Fox will use Reflect. In the instance,
the opponent touches the Reflector and is blown away. If lucky
he will be kicked out of the stage. Note: Reflect attack is only
valid within about half a second. For example, if Reflect is used
when an opponent runs, if the opponent reaches Fox within a second
he will be blown away. However, this will not happen if an opponent
touches you if you are using reflect.
Information in this section was contributed by Sho Murooka.
Hint: Fox: Avoid falling off:
Do not use the Firefox sideways if you are near an
edge. You might fall off and have no way to get back up.
Information in this section was contributed by electromech.
Hint: Fox: Separated head:
When performing Fox's Backwards Throw on another Fox,
it appears that the thrown Fox's head is not on his shoulders.
Information in this section was contributed by Jason Goodman.
Hint: Fox: Absorb projectiles without using
a shield:
Note: Perfect timing is required for this trick. When
a character throws a Bomb-Omb at you, use your reflector. It will
bounce it back at the person. However, if you timed it correctly,
it will explode but you will not take any damage. The same thing
happens if you try to reflect Samus' Charge Shot. You can use
the Reflector to reflect it, but if timed correctly the blast
will disappear when you use the Reflector and it will be absorbed.
Information in this section was contributed by Bowsersbud1.
Hint: Terrain KO in Fox's stage:
This trick can be done by almost everyone. Go down
by the thruster and if your opponent has at least 40% damage,
hit them against the left wall. When they fly back at you, hit
them up. This must be done quickly; they might be able to get
back on if they fly past you. You can also use this against Fox.
If you hit him against the wall he will be temporarily be immobilized.
Information in this section was contributed by Dragoonwarriorsp.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Combos:
When playing as Jigglypuff, press Up + B
to put your opponent to sleep. Then, get very close to your opponent,
and press Down + B to put yourself to sleep. Your
opponent will go flying, and Jigglypuff will remain asleep.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen
and Terri Foster.
Use Jigglypuff and weaken the target opponent to at least 50%.
Then, walk up next to your opponent and use the B + Down
attack. This should make Jigglypuff fall asleep and send your
opponent flying. Keep in mind that you have to be directly behind
you enemy, as if you are trying to run pass him. This should sound
like you just did a power attack with the homerun bat.
Information in this section was contributed by swain.
Press Up + A, then as your opponent is descending
press Up + A to hit him again. Stay under him and
repeat until he is defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by cdaymall.
Jump in the air, then press Down + A to spin attack
your opponent. When they hit the ground, press Down + B
move to send them spiraling into the air.
Information in this section was contributed by trevormccormick
and spiker4500.
Press Down + A to do an aerial attack. When your
opponent hits the ground, quickly press Up + A.
This should send your opponent in to the sky (if at 50%). Another
way is to do a Down + A aerial attack, then when
your opponent hits the ground, quickly press Down + B
if you are touching your opponent.
Information in this section was contributed by Blastoise789.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Instant kill:
Go to training mode and select Jigglypuff as your character,
and a small character as your CPU opponent. Both characters must
be enough close to make the Sleep attack (Down + B)
work. Set four Bob-Oms and do the attack. Instead both characters
flying away, Jigglypuff will remain there with 0% damage. This
may also work in versus mode
Information in this section was contributed by Oliver Miguel Navarro.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Reliable attack:
When battling, find a baseball bat. Use Sing to stop
your opponent and hit them with the bat. This is easier if you
use a Star. It is almost impossible to dodge this move.
Information in this section was contributed by Noe Gonzalez.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Suicidal:
Note: This trick requires a lot of patience. Start
a vs. mode game with 99 stock with you vs. the a CPU-controlled
Jigglypuff. Fight in the Mushroom Kingdom secret stage. Use a
lot of weapons during the match. When Jigglypuff's life is down
to near 20, she will begin to kill herself by walking straight
off the stage. She will do this about five to ten times -- it
is interesting to watch because after she walks off a few times
she will begin to break her own shield by holding it in very long.
Let her to do so and she will damage and stun herself, allowing
you to take advantage.
Information in this section was contributed by Flyerkid32.
Jigglypuff: Instant death:
With Jigglypuff, have your shield broken any in way.
You will automatically die.
Information in this section was contributed by James Kruk.
Jigglypuff: Sleeping target:
In Jugglypuff's Break The Target stage, move to a nearby
target and press Up + B. Jigglypuff will do her
sing attack. If you look closely at the target, the center circle
will now be smaller, as if it were closed/sleeping.
Information in this section was contributed by James Kruk.
As pointless as her sleep may be, it is one of the deadliest of
attacks. A good way to do it is to sing, making your enemies sleep.
Then, go directly on top your enemy and then sleep. A ping noise
will sound, and your enemy will be hurt. If the opponent is more
than 100%, your opponent will fly into space and die.
Information in this section was contributed by Cory Sly.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Defeating her:
Use the following trick to kill for Jigglypuff easily.
When Jigglypuff blocks, use a super hit on her and it be a K.O.
Information in this section was contributed by MediEval247.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Defeating Master Hand:
When the Hand stops, jump, then press Down +
A and keep this.
Information in this section was contributed by RKB22NOW.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Go long distances:
Use a jump then a punch (Up, B) repeatedly
to travel far.
Information in this section was contributed by codeking3.
Hint: Jigglypuff with large arm:
Press Start to pause game play just when you
punch. If timed correctly, Jigglypuff's right arm will appear
several times its normal size.
Information in this section was contributed by Gunstock60.
Hint: Jigglypuff is upside down:
Select Jigglypuff as your character and any other character
as your enemy. This works best in two player mode. Use your backwards
toss on your opponent and immediately press Start to pause
game play. It will appear that Jigglypuff is upside down.
Information in this section was contributed by legomaster101.
Hint: Jigglypuff doing a ballerina dance:
Select versus mode and choose Jigglypuff as your character
with any other players. When you begin the match, toss an opponent
then pause game play. If done correctly, it will appear as though
Jigglypuff is doing a ballerina dance.
Information in this section was contributed by billy.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Hear opponent snore:
Do the sleep attack, then pause game play to hear your
opponent snore.
Information in this section was contributed by WizKid0827.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Sleep during victory:
Play as Jigglypuff in versus mode with any amount of
time or stock. Just before you win the match, go to sleep. If
done correctly, she will be sleeping instead of celebrating during
the match results.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Allen.
Hint: Jigglypuff: Sleep reversal:
Usually when Jigglypuff puts herself to sleep and you
touch her, you will fall asleep as well. However, if someone attacks
her immediately after she falls asleep the move will backfire.
For example, if Luigi uses Super Jump Punch on Jigglypuff while

with you. Once he hits the ground, jump back up and stay on the
upper part of the ship. Link will be stuck down there as long
as he does not die and you or any teammate you have does not get
close enough for him to try the spin attack. You can now fight
Link's team member one-on-one.
Information in this section was contributed by Ryan Davis.

This is Luigi's equivalent to Mario's 999% spin with
four green shells. Go to training mode as Luigi. Select a small
opponent, such as Pikachu. Go to Hyrule Castle. Position your
opponent on top ledge of the three ledges in the middle of the
castle. Position him in the middle on the top. To the right of
him, place four green shells. Make sure they are right next to
him. Go down to the middle ledge. Position yourself on the left
side of the ledge. Use Luigi's B + Up move. If you
hit the green shells correctly, Luigi and the opponent will freeze.
The opponent's damage will go up very fast to 999%. While doing
that, coins should be launching upwards in two lines -- one of
the lines pulsing, the other being constant. Soon after reaching

Hint: Ness: Deflection:
Ness can deflect with his bat (Left or Right
+ A). He can deflect Samus' ultimate shot, Mario and Luigi's
fire ball, even a Ray Gun shot (difficult to accomplish, but not
impossible). It may be helpful good to start with easy shots such
as Mario's fireball to practice before trying to deflect Fox's
shot. It may not be possible to deflect Link's boomerang. The
homerun bat will not deflect.

Jump and kick them down again to shoot them to the ground. Then,
press Down, and when you are about to hit them, kick them
down again, and repeat the process. When their damage gets to
about 30, you will need to start varying, and perhaps double-jumping.
This is a very hard trick to do, and requires practice. Done properly,
you may be able to bring an opponent to about 100% damage before
they escape.

straight down and die. Keep repeating this to get a lot of points.
Note: You can use this move even when your opponent is not flying
through the air. Just down kick them, and before they hit the
ground, jump so that when they land you will not get hit by them.
Keep repeating this after they get up.
Information in this section was contributed by V.Amstrong.
Hint: Samus: Bonus practice level 2:
When going to the platform protected by two bumpers,
do not keep getting hit to get through. Charge up your blaster.
Stop half way. Go down, and press Left. You will roll under
the bumpers.
Information in this section was contributed by Tnyhawk696.
The last platform seems impossible to reach. However, if you press
Analog-stick Up, C-Up and then turn around, shoot
a energy ball, then do a midair flip (B + Up), you
can reach the platform.
Information in this section was contributed by s.lammata.
Hint: Samus: Flip:
Press C-Right(2). Note: This may not always
work.
Information in this section was contributed by EricSonForce124x.
Hint: Yoshi: Combos:
Press Up + B to hit your opponent. When
he lands from the fall, press A to run into him.
Information in this section was contributed by cdaymall.
Yoshi's Million Kicks (Jump + Down + A) is
weak, but there is a way to make it the most powerful attack in
the game. When your opponent jumps at you, jump with him, but
just a little higher. Then, press A to execute the Million
Kicks. If you hold A, the attack can do up to 56% damage.
Information in this section was contributed by ANTMahem.
Begin game play in versus mode as Yoshi in Sector Z. Move all
the way to the left tip and face to the right. When your opponent
approaches, press B to put him in an egg. Since the egg
always goes behind Yoshi, the player will fall down in an egg
and it will be useless to try to escape. Note: This can also be
done with some other levels.
Hint: Yoshi: Extra damage:
Select training mode and put four red shells behind
an opponent. Do the Million Kicks move and it will do 400% or
more damage.
Information in this section was contributed by mayjoe.com.
Hint: Yoshi: Defeating Master Hand:
When Master Hand is done with a attack and approaches
you, jump and press Down + A. Yoshi will do a speed
kick which will take out about 30 %. Repeat this and he will eventually
be defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by HarrPalm.
Select single player mode. Choose Yoshi for your battle character.
When you get to Master Hand jump just above him and press A
+ Down. This will take about a quarter of his life away.
Information in this section was contributed by Mixtrainie35.
Hint: Yoshi: Defeating Giant Donkey Kong:
Enter one-player mode and play as Yoshi under any desired
settings. When you reach Giant Donkey Kong's stage, get very close
to the edge, but be careful not to fall off. Face the center of
the arena (tail towards the cliff) and wait for Giant Donkey Kong
to approach you. Quickly press B and Yoshi will eat him.
The beast will turn into an egg and plummet helplessly to the
bottom.
Information in this section was contributed by Fallenangel4578.
Hint: Yoshi: Old age:
Play versus mode as Yoshi and start a fight with a
human controlled player. Press B to use Yoshi's "Eat"
attack. Pause the game at the right moment to see Yoshi with a
beard, and his eyes rolled back into his head.
Information in this section was contributed by CoolKidNFL.
Hint: Yoshi: Big head:
Press R to swallow an opponent, then spit him
out in the opposite direction. Pause game play just before you
spit him out and Yoshi should have a big head.
Information in this section was contributed by GOTCODES.
Hint: Yoshi: Egg of a cliff:
When playing as Yoshi, go to the edge of a cliff. Press
B when a human-controlled player approaches to put him
in an egg and send him off the cliff.
Information in this section was contributed by trevormccormick.
Hint: Yoshi: Egg attack:
Use the B attack and your opponent will be turned
into an egg. While an egg, they will still take normal damage.
Note: This works best if you use smash attacks while they are
an egg.
Information in this section was contributed by electromech.
Hint: Yoshi: Push opponent off end:
Play as Yoshi in any mode. Use your B attack
at the very edge of a level, and your opponent will turn into
a egg. Walk very slowly and you will push they egg off the ledge.
This must be done immediately, or your opponent will get out of
the egg.
Information in this section was contributed by Yo-Yo MEGA.
Hint: Yoshi: Egg roll:
Use Yoshi's shield and you can move left or right to
do an egg roll.
Information in this section was contributed by WizKid0827.
Hint: Easy win in Yoshi's stage:
Set the game on versus mode with you against a CPU
player. Jump on the floating clouds and use the raygun item. The
CPU players cannot go on the floating clouds. Just keep shooting
them to win.
Information in this section was contributed by codeking3
and JOSHUA GROVEs.
Hint: Rope walking in Yoshi's stage:
Press Start and press Analog-stick Down
to make a character appear as if he/she is walking a rope when
on top.
Information in this section was contributed by ValdezBASEBALL.
Hint: Jump to death in Yoshi's stage:
Select versus mode and choose stock mode. Pick Yoshi
or Jigglypuff with their difficulty levels down to 1. On Yoshi's
stage, jump onto one of the clouds. Keep jumping until they use
up all their lives. They will stupidly jump up and down until
they fall into the pit. Sometimes they will land back on the platform,
but they will jump right back up again.
Information in this section was contributed by GameMegaman.
Hint: Defeating Master Hand:
Use anyone with a quick long range attack to hit Master
Hand while it pauses between each attack, and jump over his attacks.
Fox works the best.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Hint: Defeating the teams:
An easy way to defeat the teams (Yoshi's, Kirby's,
Fighting Polygon) is to simply grab and throw them.
Information in this section was contributed by Sephrothbizzaro.
Use Ness's PK Thunder to defeat the Yoshi or the Polygon Team
easily. It will send them flying.
Information in this section was contributed by Dustadley.
The easiest way to defeat any of the teams (Yoshi, Kirby, or Fighting
Polygon) with Mario is to use his Tornado attack. This will also
work with Luigi.
Information in this section was contributed by Peter Natale.
This strategy works well against Yoshi's, Kirby's, or Fighting
Polygon teams. Select one player mode and choose Fox any difficulty
and any amount of lives. Aim Fox at your opponent, it is best
to wait until you get all two or three in one place, and press
C-Up + B. This should make your opponents die by
a star ending, or make them fly into the back ground. Sometimes
this puts them in front of you.
Information in this section was contributed by Pokeval.
Hint: Hover higher as Luigi or Mario:
Repeatedly press B during Luigi or Mario's Down
+ B attack to hover slightly higher.
Information in this section was contributed by Donbjelde.
Hint: Mario, Luigi, and Kirby's fourth
jump:
While doing the spin attack (Down + B)
with Mario or Luigi, rapidly press B to hover. You can
use this move as a fourth jump. However, this move is only good
for getting farther not higher. Luigi goes higher than Mario with
that hovering spin tactic. Use this tactic before the third jump
(Up + B). Kirby has a kind of fourth jump. Suck
up Jigglypuff's power so you can use its puff attack. Using the
puff attack makes you hover in the air for a second. This can
be used to your advantage. Like the spin tactic for Mario and
Luigi, this move is good for getting farther not higher.
Information in this section was contributed by Dude-O-Lob-A-Man.
Hint: Mario and Luigi Tornado:
If you are teaming with Mario and Luigi, let Mario
first do the Mario tornado on an opponent. Then do the Luigi tornado
with Luigi. When both tornado's are finished, Luigi will knock
the enemy farther because his punches in his tornado hurts more
than Mario's punches.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Easy damage:
Use Caption Falcon, Pickachu, Kirby, or Fox in versus
or training mode. Pin your opponent against a wall or any object
going up. You can pin them to it and use the A attack.
If you an keep punch or kick going it, will result in lots of
damage.
Information in this section was contributed by Yo-Yo MEGA,
Hint: 999% damage:
Use the following move to get 999% damage. First, go
into training. Select any character against any opponent and begin
the match. A first, they will just stand there. Enter the pause
menu and look at the items option. Select Fire Flower as many
times as possible as it expires. Then, use the Fire Flowers on
your opponent. Make sure they do not back away or guard it. Using
one will give them about 95% to 100% damage. Then, when you run
out, use the other one. Do this repeatedly, using all of them
up. When they have that damage, you can just punch or kick them
and watch them fly away. Or, you can go to the menu, and select
"Evade" on the CP option. Then, try to knock them away
if you have a projectile, which makes good for target practice.
Information in this section was contributed by MIMOZA RREDHI.
Go to Training mode and select Donkey Kong as your character.
Choose any opponent. Stand behind your opponent and put four red
shells behind him. Then, charge your punch and hit him. You should
get 900% to 999% damage.
Information in this section was contributed by citrussonic23.
Hint: Put opponents in middle:
In a team versus battle, switch all players to CPU
except for your fighter (for example, player one). Now change
your team to, for example, red. Make CPU 4 the same color as you,
and when you start the battle, your opponents will be in-between
you and your teammate.
Information in this section was contributed by Yo-Yo MEGA.
Hint: Easy knockouts in multi-player mode:
The following moves require 200% Damage (set in the
multi-player options). Useful items include: Hammer, Pokeball,
Beam Sword, and anything you can throw that will result in heavy
damage. Here are variations of characters to use and how to get
easy knockouts:
Information in this section was contributed by ThunderBlaze.
Captain Falcon: Use either Falcon Punch (B) or a forward
throw. The forward throw is preferable.
Donkey Kong: His B punch is useful, as well as throwing
your opponent backwards. If you are lucky, also use the Hand Slap
(Down + B).
Ness: Not altogether effective, but on small arenas (such as Donkey
Kong's Jungle), use his PK Thunder (Up + B). You
have to hit yourself so that you run into another opponent.
Luigi: His Tornado (Down + B) is highly effective,
as is his Super Jump Punch (Up +B) when done correctly,
doing 19-25 damage.
Mario: For some weak opponents (especially Jigglypuff), one good
Super Jump Punch (Up + B) does the trick. But, if
you are very high in the air, even tough characters can be careened
into the background. Also use his Cyclone (Down + B)
if you are lucky.
Jigglypuff: Her forward and backward throw can work wonders.
Kirby: Since he can imitate other characters, he has an advantage.
By himself, the Stone (Down + B) and forward and
backward throw are good. If done right, also use his Final Cutter
(Up + B).
Fox: His Reflector is effective.
Pikachu: If you can get close enough, his Thunder (Down
+ B) is devastating; or just keep doing it when the opponent
is in the air above you.
On multi-player mode, enter team battle and have Pikachu and Donkey
Kong on the same team as human players. Use Donkey Kong's throw
move, but instead of throwing your opponent hold onto him/her.
Then, get Pikachu to use Thunder (Down + B). This
will cause quite a lot of damage to the opponent without them
being able to do anything. Do this repeatedly for an easy win.
Information in this section was contributed by la_bugg.
Hint: Ultimate K.O:
Start a multi-player game with Fox and Pikachu. Corner
an opponent between those players and do a back flip kick simutaneously.
If done correctly, your opponent should fly into the background.
Information in this section was contributed by killabyte2001.
Hint: Background kill:
Play as any character. Jump above your opponent and
press Down + A to put them in the air. Then, press
Up + A when your opponent comes down. Keep pressing
Up + A until he or she goes into the background/foreground.
Information in this section was contributed by Yo-Yo MEGA.
Hint: Pinball effect:
In training mode, go to a big level, such as Hyrule
Castle or Sector Z. Select four green shells far apart from each
other. Pick up the one farthest from your opponent, and throw
it. If done correctly, the shells will hit each other and the
one farthest from you will hit your opponent at high speed.
Information in this section was contributed by Hagrid123.
Hint: Silph Co. stage secrets:
Begin game play as Captain Falcon on the Silph Co.
stage. When Chansey, Charmander or others pop out the door, use
the Falcon Punch to knock them spiraling away.
Information in this section was contributed by Jimbro84.
Running towards Chansey when it comes out of the elevator will
result in your strength to go down by 5%.
Information in this section was contributed by USCMitch99.
Hint: Mew in Pokeballs:
Unlock at least one secret characters to have Mew appear
randomly in the Pokeballs.
Information in this section was contributed by Lazzo.
To have Mew appear more frequently, unlock at least one of the
secret characters, play versus mode, and use the item switch.
Switch to only Pokeballs and play in the Sector Z stage. Note:
Mew or Clefairy doing Mew's attack does not cause any damage.
Hint: Flying Chancy:
Play on the Sliph Co, stage and get a hammer . When
the door opens and Chancy appears, hit to send it flying out the
door.
Information in this section was contributed by gmswong.
Hint: Pokemon in the Pokeballs:
The Pokemon in the Pokeballs have the following powers.
Information in this section was contributed by Lazzo.
Beedrill
Flies off to get the rest of its hive to attack the opponent.
Blastoise
Blasts opponent with water spray.
Chansey
Pops out and give you an item. In a second appearance, it
just throws Chansey eggs.
Charizard
Starts to breath fire in each direction.
Clefable
Arrives and mimics one of the other available Pokemon's attacks.
Goldeen
Flops around trying to hurt opponent.
Hitmonlee
Comes out and flies at the opponent doing a kick attack.
Koffing
Arrives and starts blasting foul smoke in the air.
Meowth
Pops out and showers out coins that hurt opponent.
Mew
The special secret 151st Pokemon makes his appearance... and
flies away.
Onix
Shows up, flies up top, and then boulders drop from the ceiling.
Snorlax
Pops out, flies up, and then comes down huge, hurting your
opponent.
Starmie
Finds opponent and blasts them with rays.
Charmander
Just blows fire in one direction (only in Silph Co. stage).
Venusaur
Razor Leaf attack; leaves from this Pokemon fly at opponents
(only in Silph Co. stage).
Porygon
Rams you or the opponent (only in Silph Co. stage).
Hint: Ultimate Pokemon battle:
Unlocked the "Item Switch" option. Go to
it and set "Appearance" to "Very High" and
turn everything off except "Poke ball". Start a battle
with two to four players. Select any of the characters and infinite
time. Select a level and start game play.
Information in this section was contributed by Dustadley.
Hint: Tubes in Mushroom Kingdom:
Jump on a tube in the Mushroom Kingdom stage and press
Analog-stick Down. Note: You might land in the tube in
the hole in the middle.
Information in this section was contributed by Sephrothbizzaro.
Hint: Knock away biting plants in Mushroom
Kingdom:
To knock away the biting plants, use a Smash Attack
or a hammer. Do not stay close, as they will not appear unless
all players are reasonably far away.
Information in this section was contributed by Basilisk.
Hint: Safe location in Yoshi's Island:
This trick only works in versus mode. Pick any two
characters, the smaller, the better. On the right and left are
be clouds with the "Talk Boxes" from Yoshi's Story.
You can jump on these clouds for a limited amount of time. Note:
The smaller the character is, the longer you can stay on the clouds.
On the left, there will be two clouds.
Information in this section was contributed by Pickin27.
Hint: Easy win:
Throw your opponent off in one player, free-for-all,
team mode, or two player mode. Attack your opponent after the
second jump that they make.
Information in this section was contributed by John Knight.
Hint: Fan weapon:
When you equip the Fan in a match, do a Smash Hit with
it on your opponent. If they use their shield, it will break,
leaving them defenseless. This is more effective when facing Jigglypuff.
Information in this section was contributed by K. Jones.
Hint: Homerun bat:
For an easy kill, get the Homerun bat, quickly do a
smash attack, and press A to send your opponent flying
of the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by Thomas Brobst.
You can hit a homerun by presing B + Analog-stick Forward.
The bat will charge up for a second (your character should flash
yellow) before sending your opponent flying off the screen. Note:
This does not work on Metal Mario in single player mode.
Information in this section was contributed by AzBoyz2000
and annie518.
Hint: Big ray gun:
Go to the item switch screen and set it it so that
only ray guns will appear. Select two characters. Have one character
get a ray gun. When you see a box, have the character with the
gun stand close and shoot it. While the character with the gun
shoots the box, have the other character attack the character
with the gun. Have the player controlling the character with the
gun pause the game. If done correctly, the ray gun should be big.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Defeating someone who has the hammer:
Throw a projectile, bomb, or mine which will either
slow the person with the hammer down, or blow them off a cliff
or the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by Strusell Guy.
An easy way to not be bothered by a player that has the hammer
is to use Kirby against them. Immediately after they grab the
hammer, suck the person in to normally take their power. This
will sometimes allow the hammer to run out without anyone getting
slammed.
Information in this section was contributed by Gengar Trainer.
When the hammer is behind your opponent, if you are quick enough
you can grab the person and throw them off the edge.
Information in this section was contributed by codeking3.
After you die, you will be on a cloud. Get off and quickly grab
whoever has the hammer. You will be invincible for a short amount
of time when flashing after getting off the cloud. Samus' Charge
Blaster will do the job if aimed correctly.
Information in this section was contributed by Vester.
Hint: Restore shield:
When your shield is shrinking, move around with it
and it will grow back to normal size. The more you move around,
the more your shield will grow.
Information in this section was contributed by Mcfar4630.
Hint: Temporary invincibility:
When you are in the cloud platform after losing a life,
come down and you will have a brief moment of invincibility. This
is a good time to use your smash attack.
Information in this section was contributed by Warmadogzat.
Hint: Keeping your opponent off the platforms:
Use the following moves when playing as the indicated
character to knock your opponent off the platforms.
Mario and Luigi
Press B to throw a fireball when they try to come back.
Ness
Press B for the PK Fire if they come near your character
in the air. Your opponent will be pulled down and paralyzed once
it hits.
Yoshi
If you are near the end of the platform, wait for your opponent
to approach. Then, press B to turn them into an egg. If
you are close enough to the edge, the egg will make them fall
and they will not be able to get back up.
Donkey Kong
After knocking an opponent off, press B to charge up
the punch. Use the punch when they are close enough while in the
air.
Kirby
Press Up + B near the edge when your opponent
approaches.
Link

tries to return.
Jigglypuff

is close enough.
Hint: Getting back in the game:
Repeatedly tap Z while knocked through the air
until your character reaches the ground. This will allow your
character to quickly begin fighting again.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Hint: Use secret jumps to recover from
bad hits:
The following trick works if you are using a character
that has a third jump. If you are hit badly and fly off the screen,
execute the first jump and wait approximately two seconds. Then,
do the second part of the double jump. Do a move (such as Pikachu's
Side Spinning Attack), then do the third jump. This requires good
timing, and works most of the time.
Information in this section was contributed by PoKeBrood1.
Hint: Toggle free for all and team modes:
You can toggle free for all and team type play in versus
mode. Move the hand pointer to the top left corner and press A
on team battle or free for all.
Information in this section was contributed by Lazzo.
Hint: Change CPU color in free for all
or training modes:
After selecting a character, go to the character the
CPU player is playing, which is marked with a gray chip with "CP".
Move the hand pointer over the character and press one of the
C buttons.
Information in this section was contributed by Lazzo.
Hint: Regain energy in Silph Co. stage:
Touch Chansey when it appears to regain a small amount
of energy.
Information in this section was contributed by Echan90452.
Hint: Raining Bomb-Oms:
In any versus mission with a time limit, have two players
have the same amount of lives. You will enter a Sudden Death,
with 300% damage each. After ten to twenty seconds, if both players
are still alive, it will literally start to rain active Bomb-Oms,
causing large explosions in all locations.
Information in this section was contributed by James Kruk.
Hint: Home Run Derby:
Note: You must have item switch bonus unlocked. Go
to item switch menu and set the appearance level to "Very
High". Turn everything off except "Home Run Bat".
Select Kirby or Jigglypuff for your character and Jiggypuff or
Kirby for the CPU. Make four different teams. Make sure the game
is set for free-for-all and infinite time. Select any stage. The
game will begin with four characters that look alike and a lot
of Home Run Bats.
Information in this section was contributed by PetaPan2.
Hint: Kamikaze challenge:
Get a total of four human players and have everyone
either get DK teams or not. Use the carry on back move (throw
then A) and jump off the edge as much as possible. The
player with the lowest score is the Kamakazi champ.
Information in this section was contributed by squall_leonheart69.
Hint: Star Wars challenge:
Select two characters in versus mode. Set the time
to be unlimited and only choose beam swords as weapons. Set the
characters to have three lives each. Then, you may attack your
opponent even if they drop their beam sword.
Information in this section was contributed by Bingham.
Hint: Funny sounds sequence:
Unlock the music test option. Set the music to "6"
and sound to "3", then enter the following pattern.

Music "6"
Voice "105"
Voice "104"
Voice "103" multiple times

Hint: Bonus Practice #1, Break The Targets:
When playing as Yoshi, to get the target on the far
right, use the Mega Headbutt (Left or Right + A)
next to the side of the target hill.
Information in this section was contributed by Ike83301.
When breaking the target in the upper left of the screen, stand
under it and press Analog-stick Down + B to take
out a bomb. Then press C-Up(2) and when you are at the
peak of your jump, press Analog-stick Up + A. If
done correctly, the bomb should hit the target.
Information in this section was contributed by Darcy Lynn.
To break the targets as Link, you have to get up to the hovering
platform over all the way to the left. Throw a boomerang, and
before it returns, press C-Up(2), Analog-stick Up,
to get below the target. If done correctly, the boomerang will
hit the last target.
Information in this section was contributed by Peter
Natale.
In the break the targets mode, many players think it is very hard
to hit the very high target on the top-left of the screen. You
can break it easily by using the following steps: Press Down
+ B to bring out a bomb. Double jump directly under the
target and press Up + R to throw the bomb high in
the air and destroy the target.
Information in this section was contributed by Alex.
Hint: Bonus Practice #2, Board The Platforms:
Use the following strategy when playing as Jigglypuff/Purin
on the last platform. Since Jigglypuff does not have an extra
jump (Up + B), run and jump from the edge then press
B. Repeat this until reaching the platform. Pace your jumps
so he can go farther. Practice this on the "walk on water
platform".
Information in this section was contributed by Ike83301.
Hint: Easy Pacifist score:
The easiest ways to get the Pacifist score (60,000
points) are as follows. Note: You must not hit anyone to receive
the bonus (through items, bombs, or anything else).
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Fox's level: Lure Fox to the front edge of the ship. Wait until
a ship shoots him off the ship. You will also receive an ARWING
clear worth 25,000 points.
Samus' level: Wait until Samus kills herself in the acid.
Donkey Kong's level: Have your allies kill Donkey Kong.
Mario's level: Have your ally kill Mario and Luigi.
Any fighting team level: Have the enemies kill each other off
and wait until one clumsily falls of the ledge or gets picked
off by a Bob-omb.
Pikachu's level: Go to the helicopter pad and wait until Pikachu
uses Agility and falls off.
Hint: Getting character points:
To get these points (found under the "Data"
option) go to time-battle. This can be done in multi-player mode.
Set the time at will. The more you "KO", the more points
you will get. To find out exactly how many points will be obtained,
take your KOs and subtract the "TKO" from it. For example,
subtract 2 (TKO) from 50 KO results in 48 character points awarded.
Note: It is done differently in stock battle.

earns 210,000 points, Hard earns 280,000 points, and Very Hard
earns 350,000 points.
3. Does not work if Clefairy imitates.
4. Try playing as Pikachu while on the helicopter pad or allowing
the acid on Planet Zebes kill your opponent.
Glitch: Freeze the game:
Start a multi-player game on a large stage, such as
Hyrule or Sector Z with two Foxes and one Ness. Have Ness shoot
a PK Thunder horizontally into a Fox. Have that Fox bounce it
off to the other Fox. Note: Ness has to be out of the way. The
other Fox should bounce it back. If done correctly the game will
freeze.
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis Nguyen.
Glitch: Falling Beam Swords:
Go to training mode and choose Kirby. Go to Hyrule
Castle. There is a tiny green castle in the stage. Stand below
it. Press Start to display the menu, then go through the
items until you see the Beam Sword item. Get as many as possible
on the fighting screen (by pressing A). Then, press Start
to exit the menu. Go to the edge of where you are standing. You
will see Beam Swords spinning and falling down the side of the
wall.

Glitch: Changing boomerang color:
Select Link and use the boomerang. When it is in his
hand, the boomerang is yellow with a red thing on the corner.
When he throws it, it is blue.
Information in this section was contributed by Johnathan.
Glitch: Walk through fighters:
You can use any character to walk through another character.
For example, play as Kirby on the Sector Z stage and stand on
top of the big incline. Make sure another fighter is on the incline.
Use the stone move to slide right through the other fighter.
Information in this section was contributed by PetaPan2.
Glitch: Floating character:
Begin a match on the Sector Z stage (Star Fox's level)
and get on the lower level. Go left and run as far as possible
into the wall. Pause game play when against the wall. Hold Down/Left
and you should see your character floating in the air. This is
also a good trick to try while using a B attack or a taunt (especially
with Link).
Information in this section was contributed by Mewtwo and Kirby.
Choose any character in versus mode and go to the Dreamland stage
(Kirby's level). Stand on the ground (not any platform). Pause
game play and press Analog-stick Down. If done correctly,
your character will be standing in midair.
Information in this section was contributed by BYerasi.
Glitch: Polygon form character:
Use the following trick to have original characters
show their polygon form. You be facing Fox, Pikachu, or Ness.
Use Ness's PK Thunder, Picachu's Thunder, or Fox's Reflector Move.
Then, pause game play at the correct moment time to appear as
a polygon. Note: This may require multiple attempts.

Glitch: Link's flashing sword:
Go to the character selection screen and choose Link.
When you hear his sword clang, get rid of him with the N/A COM
or 1-up button. You will see his sword flash when it is not there.

Glitch: Bigger fan:
Use the Fan and hit your opponent with it. Pause game
play as soon as you hit. The fan will look larger than normal.
With luck, you can continue using the bigger fan.

Glitch: Invisible box:
Destroy a crate or barrel at the same time that your
teammate picks it up. The contents of the container will pop out
and your teammate will be holding an invisible box. The invisible
box will contain the same object that just popped out of the other
box.
Information in this section was contributed by eric.
Glitch: Invisible Bomb and Bomb Shield:
Select any character and make sure you have Bomb-Ombs
included in your fight. When a box appears (or bottle, not the
Bomb-Omb itself), one of you must die (or obtain invincibility
with a Star). The other opponent should wait until the Bomb-omb
is present. The person who is invincible (a character is invincible
for seconds after you die) must stand on the Bomb-Omb and the
uninvincible opponent must kick it. While the Bomb is exploding,
the invincible character must pick it up. The Bomb is now invisible.
Also, the place where the bomb exploded will now be a Bomb-Omb
shield, which can block any explosive item (Boxes, Barrels, and
Bomb-Ombs). The invisible bomb will deliver 1.3 to 2 times normal
damage and is usually an automatic death. Once thrown, the Bomb-Omb
shield is also destroyed. 3 times damage is obtained if your opponent
is in the shield.

Glitch: Invisible wall:
Start a new match and choose Link and any other character.
Only put the motion sensor bomb on and go to the Saffron City
stage. Wait for a bomb to appear, then have Link grab it and go
to the platform on the right of the stage. Throw the bomb on the
wall, then use Link's Smash Attack to hit the mine. Do not get
too close or you will fly. If done correctly, you should fly back,
hit an invisible wall, and fly in the opposite direction.
Information in this section was contributed by link72086.
Glitch: Disappearing motion bomb sensor:
Place a motion bomb sensor on the elevator on the Saffron
City stage. When it opens, the device will disappear but it will
still be functional when an enemy comes near the elevator. When
a Pokemon appears, it will cause more damage.
Information in this section was contributed by Paul Gondek.
Glitch: Flames of hell:
Get the Bomb-Omb glitch. The shield must be under a
spot where a barrel appears often. Set your character under this
spot. If done correctly, when a barrel appears it will emit eternal
fire, and the character will be stuck. The player will instantly
achieve 999% and is completely helpless. When any item thrown
at this fireball (especially Bomb-Ombs), the eternal fire and
your opponent will disappear, giving you a KO.
Information in this section was contributed by Dark Hyperion.
Glitch: Teleporting Electrode:
Play as Captain Falcon in the Saffron City stage. When
the Electrode pops up, hit it with a Falcon Punch before it explodes.
It will appear on the platform above itself.
Information in this section was contributed by William Bether.
Glitch: Trapped under shell:
Play as Fox on the Saffron City stage. Find a red shell
and pick it up. Then, go on top of the building where the Pokemon
appear from. Throw the red shell on the same building. Quickly
activate your Reflector Shield (Down + B) and hold
it. Eventually the shield will break and you will fly up, then
fall down onto the shell. You will now be trapped under the shell
and your damage meter will increase, sometimes to 999%. Note:
This may not happen on your first attempt.
Information in this section was contributed by Dallas Terry.
Glitch: Yoshi unable to hit high:
After Yoshi does his Up + B jump (where
he twirls his feet to ascend), he will not be able to be hit high
when Luigi uses his Up + B attack. This also coincides
with the bumpers.
Information in this section was contributed by MelloProto.
Glitch: Instant full damage:
Go into training mode as Mario at his stage. Get five
green shells next to him and the opponent, then do the Up
+ B or Down + B move. The game will glitch
and sends the opponent to 999% damage. You must be standing next
to the opponent when you activate the shells.
Information in this section was contributed by Kennay22.
Glitch: Pause looping:
This trick requires two or more controllers. Start
in VS mode and chose your characters. Press Start to advance
to the stage selection screen. Get ready to unplug a controller,
select the stage with Start and hold it. During the pause
before the stage loads, quickly remove the controller plug while
holding Start. If timed correctly, you should end up with
infinite pausing and resuming. The effect is if you are using
the training 1/4 speed in an actual fight. If you reinsert the
controller at any point, the pausing will stop. By doing this,
you can fight with three players with a slower battle. Note: The
noise can be annoying.
Information in this section was contributed by airikitascave.
Glitch: Faster training:
Go into training with any character against any opponent.
Press Start and switch the speed to one quarter. Then,
resume game play. Press Start again and choose "Reset".
It will read "1" as the speed but it goes faster than
normal.
Information in this section was contributed by Alex Comeau.
Glitch: Misspelling:
Enter the Silph Co. stage, and get a close up of the
sign that says "Gotta Catch 'Em All". You will notice
that "catch" is spelled with a "K" instead
of a "C" after the "T".
Information in this section was contributed by mapo.wa.
After completing the game, when the voice actors area appears
in the end credits, Charles Martinet's name is spelled as "Martinee"
instead of "Martinet".

section was contributed by Chris Heap.

options.
