Press Start to display the options menu, then
press Up + A on controller two. The game save menu
In the Wii Virtual Console version, press Plus during game
play to display the menu, Then hold Minus and press D-pad
Up. Note: This can only be done on a Wiimote or Classic Controller.
Enter ZELDA as a name to start on the second
quest. Note: This is just like the first quest, only slightly
more difficult with some items in different places, and slightly
higher prices in some stores.

Kill all the enemies except for one on the same screen.
The next time you return to that screen that same enemy will be
there. If you killed all the enemies they would have all respawned.
Equip the bow and arrows before entering Gohma's room.
Enter the room and quickly shoot an arrow. Gohma will already
be in front of you with his eye open, and will die with one shot.
Refill Water of Life:
When you use a red Water of Life, it will turn blue.
This indicates it will disappear if you use it again. You can
refill it to get it back to red by purchasing a blue Water of
Escape the bubble curse instantly:
After running in to a flashing bubble, immediately
blow the whistle to be able to use your sword again. Note: This
has no effect with the red bubbles in the second quest.
Glitch: Black and white room:
When you are in a dark room that calls for use of a
candle, place a bomb first. Then, quickly switch to the blue candle,
then fire the candle onto the bomb. If done correctly, the room
will be in black and white.

Glitch: Wrong name:
When you complete the game Zelda will refer to you
as Link, even if your name is different.
