Hint: Training methods:
To succeed in the game you will need to make your monster
live long. To do this is quite easy. First, select the monster
you want and take them to the ranch. Select a monster which has
a long life span or a monster that has a sub breed which has a
long life span, such a Pixie/Plant etc. When trying to make your
monster live long, stress is the key. The lower the stress, the
longer your monster lives. Use this method for monsters to live
long -- up to about 8 years old. Note: LD = Light Drill, HD =
Hard Drill, ML = Mint Leaf, NO = Nuts Oil, -- = Anything.

Hint: Money with a Sueki Suezo:
If you need money, first go to the shrine and use the
Monster Rancher 1 CD. This should result in a Sueki Suezo, a monster
with excellent stats, except for speed. Use this monster when
battling in a free-for-all. If it wins, you will get money and
perhaps an item. Note: This monster lives only for one week. If
you need more money, unlock it and battle again.
Information in this section was contributed by SirCyrus4.
Hint: Moves with Suezo/Hare:
If you get a Suezo/Hare, every time that it goes to
a training it will learn a new move, unless you have already mastered
all the moves from that training area.
Information in this section was contributed by Slyugif.
Hint: Phoenix Feather:
On the first expedition to Kawrea Volcano with Dr.
Talico, if your monster is intelligent enough it will find a Phoenix
Feather there. You can also find it in the Phoenix Statue during
your second expedition there. Use it when combining to get a
Phoenix.
Information in this section was contributed by Tory Wefler.
Hint: Get a Centaur:
After you complete the Major Four and the Legends Cup,
go to the Mandy Errantry. Complete the Errantry you will not fight
the monster you chose. However, your monster will return with
a spear. Your monster will then go crazy and fight a monster that
is a bird from the waist up and horse from the waist down. After
the battle is over, go to the town and combine two monsters and
use the spear as your secret item.
Information in this section was contributed by DLRichardson.
Hint: Get a Dragon:
Get a monster with a rank of B. You will eventually
be invited to a competition. It is a fight against a Dragon. You
also may need fame of 80+. Have all of your monster's stats up
to at least level 5 or 6, very high speed, and strong techniques.
Also, use a stimulant just before the fight. For example, Nageel.
Information in this section was contributed by DarkSlasher2000.
Hint: Get Phoenix again:
Use the following steps to get Phoenix again after
it is retired or flies away. Take the disc from the PC game Dune
2000 from Westwood Studios to the shrine and you will receive
a Phoenix with higher stats than the original one obtained from
the Fire Feather. Note: An original Phoenix has to be obtained
before receiving one from the disc. To get an original Phoenix,
go on an adventure to Kawrea volcano (pre- or post-eruption).
Search the volcano. One of the items that can be found is a Fire
Feather. Take it to the lab and use it as a secret ingredient
combining any two monsters to get the Phoenix.
Information in this section was contributed by Philip Price.
Other CDs that will unlock a Phoenix at higher stats than the
original are Frente-Marvin and Saviour Machine-Legend
Part 1.
Information in this section was contributed by James Rhea.
After unlocking a Phoenix with a Fire Feather you can use Shaking
The Tree by Peter Gabriel to get another Phoenix which is
stronger than the first.
Information in this section was contributed by Matt Ducey.
You can get the Phoenix again by using the CD Brak Presents
The Brak Album Starring Brak.
Information in this section was contributed by Ice Lynx.
After unlocking a Phoenix with a Fire Feather you can use Walt
Disney's Tarzan Disc 2 to get another Phoenix which is better
than the original.
Information in this section was contributed by wilpeter lao.
Hint: Get a Wracky:
Increase your fame up to 100 and defeat the major 4.
Information in this section was contributed by Patamon362.
Hint: Completing the big four tournaments:
Go to the jungle expedition and get at least one Golden
Peach (two is recommended), then go to the shrine. Put in the
Monster Rancher 1 disc to get a Sueki Suezo that has amazing
stats, but only lives for one week. Give the Golden Peach(es)
to him. This will increase his life span three to five years per
Golden Peach. Work on his speed and it will be easy to advance
through the classes and complete the big four tournaments with
ease and earn money.

Hint: Recommended monsters for beginners:
Information in this section was contributed
by Footwings5.
Zuum (either normal, or one with a simple subtype like Hare)
Jell (most subtypes work well)
Mocchi (the one from the Market is good for beginners, unless
you can find one with better stats)
Hare (most subtypes work. Usually one from a CD has better stats
than the one from the market)

Gaboo (any subtype, usually one from a CD has better stats)
Golem (if you have a big enough house and if you raise it well)
Henger (if you can raise it well)
Worm (any subtype works)
Monol (most subtypes are pretty good if you can raise it right)
Hint: Recommended monsters if raised correctly:
These monsters are usually tough to raise but they
can be good if you raise them correctly.
Information in this section was contributed by Footwings5.

it to be good)
Dragon (any type)

others)

Hint: Unique monsters with DNA capsules
(Japanese version):
Note: This requires the Japanese version of the game.
The DNA capsules in the game can create some very unique monsters
when used in breeding. The following is a list of the seven capsules
and the monsters that they create. These monsters can be created
using any two monsters with the correct capsule. These items can
be found on any adventure, but you have more chances on the Frozen
Mountain.
