Select Mission Driller mode. Highlight a character at the selection screen, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select and press Circle. You can now choose to have up to nine lives.

Successfully complete Scenario Driller mode. Highlight the "Free Scenario" option at the main menu, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Circle.

Successfully complete Scenario Driller mode. Select two player mode, then have player two highlight Susumu at the character selection screen and hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2.
