Fight as Zhuge Liang: Finish the game with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun.

Fight as Cao Cao: Finish the game with all characters except Guan Yu,
Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun.
Fight as Lu Bu: Finish the game with Zhuge Liang and Cao Cao.
Fight as Toukichi: Enable Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, and Lu Bu. Quickly press
Down(2), Right, Up, Circle, Triangle,
R1, R2 at the title screen in the North American
version of the game. For the Japanese version of the game, enable
Nobunaga then highlight the "1P Battle" option at the
main menu and quickly press Down(2), Right, Up,
X, Triangle, R1, R2.
Fight as Nobunaga: Enable Lu Bu. Quickly press Square, Up,
Triangle, Down, Circle at the title screen.
A sound will confirm correct code entry. Nobunaga is located to
the right of Shun Shang Xiang. For the Japanese version of the
game, quickly press Square, Up, Triangle,
Down, X at the title screen. Choose this character
by pressing L1 or R1 at the character select screen.
He has basically the same attacks as Lu Bu.
Fight as Sun Shang Xiang: Quickly press Left(2), Up, Down,
Triangle, Square, L1, R1, on the one
player battle screen. The sound of a sword will confirm correct
code entry. Choose this character (a girl), by pressing L1
or L2 on the character select screen.
Fight your own kingdom: In 1P Battle mode, you can fight as the CPU's fighter,
and fight that kingdom. Select a fighter as usual, then intentionally
lose to your first opponent (auto-continue must be disabled).
At the selection screen, choose a fighter from the kingdom that
you lost to. For example, if you lost to Taishi Ci, select Taishi
Ci, Zhou Yu, or Lu Xun. You will fight the character you lost
to, then advance to another warrior from that kingdom. This applies
for all three kingdoms, so Cao Cao can fight Xiahou Dun, etc.
If you select the same character you lost to, you will be dressed
in the alternate outfit.
