Soul Blade
Note: This game was titled Soul Edge in Japan
Alternate costumes:
A: Default
B: Alternate default color
A + G: Guard
B + G: Alternate guard color
K: New Soul Blade
Obtain all of Sophitia's weapons in Edge Master mode to choose
her armor-less hidden costume from her ending. Obtain all 70 weapons
in Edge Master mode to choose Sophitia's hidden swimsuit costume
from her hidden ending.
Camera control during ending frame:
Hold A: Zoom in
Hold B: Zoom out
Up: Top view
Down: Horizontal view
Left: Spin counter-clockwise
Right: Spin clockwise
Get last weapon in Edge Master mode:
Defeat SoulEdge and let the ending sequence complete.
After returning to the map screen, press K and choose Move.
The CPU will select a destination. If you lose the match, press
K again and allow the CPU to select the country. The CPU
will always select the location of the last weapon.
Fight as Soul Edge:
Enter ALL as a name. Alternatively, complete
the game with all the regular characters on any difficulty setting
or play the game a total of twenty cumulative hours.

Hidden characters:
There are five hidden characters in the game. Note:
You cannot use any of the hidden characters in Edge Master mode.

Siegfried! (Possessed Siegfried): Complete Edge Master mode as
Siegfried and gain all eight of his weapons.
Sophitia! (Sophitia without armor): Complete Edge Master mode
as Sophitia and gain all eight of her weapons.
Sophitia!! (Sophitia in a bikini): Complete all weapons for all
characters in Edge Master mode.
Soul Edge: Complete the game in Arcade mode with all ten characters.
Han Myong (Guest Fighter): Complete the game with Hwang and perform
his alternate ending. Then, complete the game as Seung Mina and
perform her alternate ending.
Alternate title screen:
Complete the game with all ten characters. The title
screen will change to one that shows all of the characters.
Alternate opening voice:
When the game is boots, sometimes the voice that says
"Namco" at the start will be Seung Mina's instead of
the deep voiced announcer. Because of her accent, she will say
"Namico". Note: This may only work on the PAL version
of the game.

Alternate endings:
Enter the following sequences during the ending when
the black lines at the top and bottom of the screen disappear.
- Cervantes: Press B.
- Hwang: Press A.
- Li Long: Press A, B repeatedly to make him stand
up.
- Mitsurugi: Beat Tanegashima by pressing Left or Right
to avoid the bullet. Then run forward and attack with B
before he reloads.
- Rock: Press B.
- Seung Mina: Quickly press Down, Up to make her
dodge.
- Siegfried: Press B.
- Sophitia: Move Right.
- Taki: Press G to guard Soul Edge's attack.
- Voldo: Quickly press Up, Ddown repeatedly until
Soul Edge breaks.
Hint: Stop flashing weapon effect:
To get rid of your character's flashing weapon effect,
press Start in the middle of the attack. Note: This may
only work in practice mode.

Glitch: Hovering opponent:
In Practice mode, choose Voldo. Do his standard A
+ G throw. As soon as it connects, pause game play and
turn the first player's weapons off. This will cause him to fall
to the ground but the opponent will still be going through the
motions of the throw, causing him to hover in the air for a moment.
This works with everyone's throw, but Voldo's can be seen better.
You can even start an unarmed throw, then give back and take away
their weapon quickly to make them do a ghost throw. [Screenshot]
