Ape Escape 3

Cheat mode:
Press Start at the title screen, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 while using the "Start" option at the menu to display the password entry screen. Then, enter one of the following case-sensitive passwords. Note: Passwords in the Japanese version are in Hiragana.

Dark Master Ape:
Enter blackout as a password. Dark Master will appear in the Kung Fu Alley level. Enter the construction area and find the small room with a Kung-Fu switch. Enter 33483264 as a password in the Chinese version of the game.

Spork Ape:
Enter krops as a password. Spork will appear in a cabin at the Hide-n-Seek Forest level.

Shimmy Ape:
Enter 2nd man as a password. The Ape is hidden past the back door the icy hideout (Piposaru costume area) in the Winterville level.

Pipotron Yellow:
Enter yellowy as a password. The Ape is in the first area in the Monkey Come, Monkey Go level.

Pipotron Red:
Enter redmon as a password. The Ape is in the ""toy room with blocks" in the Let's Go Out With The Monkeys level. Enter 2nd man as a password in the European version of the game.

Pipotron Blue:
Enter coolblue as a password. The Ape is on the wings of the jet in the Flying High Monkey level. Exit the yellow plane and he will appear in front of you. Enter blueman as a password in the European version of the game.

SAL-1000 Ape:
Enter grobyc as a password. The Ape is near the clock tower in the Castle level. Look in the area with the second exit in the hidden dressing room that leads to Saru-mon's Immobile Castle. Enter rusagu-boisa as a password in the Japanese version of the game. Enter 00798001 as a password in the Chinese version of the game.

SAL-3000 Ape:
Enter SAL3000 as a password. The Ape is in a dressing room in the Space TV Fortress level. Note: This Ape is not available in the Japanese version of the game.

Ratchet Ape:
Enter ginganoraihousha as a password in the Japanese version of the game. The Ape is in a dressing room in the Space TV Fortress level. Search the vending machine area which second exit in hidden dressing room that leads to the Gotta Love Specter level. Hit the Number 5 to find him. Enter ratch as a password in the European version of the game. Note: This Ape is not available in the North American version of the game.

Gageru Ape:
Enter rusarukeka as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Kuro Sennin Ape:
Enter kuroihoumonsha as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Pigaru Ape:
Enter futarimenootoko as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Pipotron Blue:
Enter aoiku-rugai as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Pipotron Red:
Enter nazonoakaiaitsu as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Pipotron Yellow:
Enter himitsunokiiroiyatsu as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Survival mode:
Enter sabaibaru as a password in the Japanese version of the game. Enter 64686697 as a password in the Chinese version of the game.

Alternately, capture all apes then catch Specter a second time.

Mystery Movie 29 (Pipotron):
Enter pipotoronagein as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Mystery Movie 30 (Ratchet And Clank 4 prevew):
Enter kurankushinsaku as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Mesal Gear (Mesaru Gear) mini-game:
Enter yumenokyouen as a password in the Japanese version of the game.

Alternately, successfully complete the game by defeating Specter to unlock this item in Hobby Shop for 573 Gotcha coins. Complete this mini-game to win 1,000 Gotcha coins and unlock hard mode. To get the Croc cap and unlimited items, rescue all twenty hostages.

Mesal Gear (Mesaru Gear) scenes in Movie 28 and last two Simian Cinema movies:
Enter 2 snakes as a password. Enter futarinosune-ku as a password in the Japanese version of the game. Enter 99876650 as a password in the Chinese version of the game.

Monkey Throw Stadium (Ape Olympic) mini-game:
Can be purchased in the Hobby Shop for 1,500 Gotcha coins after attaining a 50% game completion.

Utlim-ape Fighter (Sarutimate Fighting) mini-game:
Can be purchased in the Hobby Shop for 1,500 Gotcha coins after attaining a 75% game completion. Complete this mini-game to win 1,000 Gotcha coins.

Ape Movie Studio (Saru Cinema Studio) option:
During game play, look for camera with activation pads found in various levels. When the monkeys are not on high alert (yellow or less), step on the pad and press X to get an option to shoot a movie clip. Press X again to get the movie file. The Movie Studio option will be unlocked after all twenty movie files are unlocked, and will replace the "X" at the menu. The monkey studio is found in the Cimian Cinema area of the Shopping District. In the Japanese version, view at least eight Saru movie files in the Saru Cinema. The Saru Cinema Studio option will replace the "X" at the Saru Cinema main menu. Select this option to edit or create Saru movies.

Alternate title screen:
Successfully complete survival mode. In the Japanese version, the word "Tatsujin" will appear in Hiragana at the title screen.

Control Mesal Gear Solid title screen:
Press L1 or L2 to change background of the Mesal Gear Solid mini-game title screen.

Super Monkey morph:
Defeat Specter and complete the game.

Hint: Mesal Gear (Mesaru Gear) mini-game: Monkey tag:
Shoot a monkey with the banana pistol then do a combo attack.

Hint: Mesal Gear (Mesaru Gear) mini-game: Finding hostages:
Use a Watermelon (Suika) Bomb near cracks in walls to find hostages.

Hint: Defeating Monkey Pink:
Split the Boss battle in two parts. The first part has Pink warping all around with Teleborgs everywhere. Morph into Genie Dancer and spin the Right Analog-stick to make the genie dance. This will distract Pink for a few seconds. Run up and hit her. She will generate a force field and chase you. Run to escape her. Kill Teleborgs to stay morphed. Continue to do this until Pink enters a deranged state. She has five attacks. She will warp around and shoot fireballs at you. Attack her when she does this. She will do a force field as before, but it will remain longer. Dodge it and she will fire a laser beam at you. Run to avoid it. If she stands still without raising her hand, she is going to shoot a heart beam to freeze you in place. Shake it off and get off the stage or on the couch like platform. Pink will appear on the platform, pick up the giant chess pieces, and bash them everywhere but on the platform she is on or out of the stage. Defeat her before the curtains close or you will have to start again from the beginning. If you defeat her you will see a funny scene and Pink will escape. You will eventually catch her, but after you capture Specter. She frees them and you must capture them again.

Hint: Defeating Monkey Yellow:
Instead of transforming into the Miracle Ninja Morph as you are "supposed" to, use the Wild West Kid Morph and simply shoot at Monkey Yellow until he dies. Each time after Monkey Yellow slips and falls, use the charged shot (rotating the Right analog-stick) on him. The battle should now become very easy.
