Hint: Cheats in championship mode:
When you unlock any of the cheats, they normally cannot be used to win championship mode. However, there is a way around this. Simply use the cheat to come in first until the last race. Then, go to the main menu and disable the cheat. You will have all the medals, and all you have to do is win the last race.

Hint: Quick start:
At the countdown, when the view is at the back of your car, hold X. Then, tap Square while holding X and smoke should start coming out of your tires. Keep holding X. A split second before "GO!" appears, release X and immediately press it again. This should give you a boost.
Combatcm.

Immediately before the countdown ends at beginning of a race, quickly press the brake, then the gas. You should take off with a sudden burst off energy as soon as the race begins, and be ahead of everybody else.

Hold Brake, then press Gas to cause your tires to peel out. When "One" appears at the top of the screen, release Gas and immediately press it again when "Go!" appears. If done correctly, you will get a boost that will almost always put you in front of the other vehicles.
FamilyofHaggs.

At the beginning of any race, pursuit or crash session, before it race starts, at the countdown, hold Gas (X), then hold Brake (Square)briefly for about half second. Half a second before the counter reaches zero, release Gas and quickly press it again. You will start with a boost.
JohnoBoy.

During the countdown, hold X then press Square and smoke will start to appear. Just before it says "Go!", release Square and X, then quickly press X. You will boost ahead and get an advantage.
Lisa Cook.

Spin your tires until the countdown is halfway through "1" and release the gas. Immediately after you release the gas, press X again. This gives you a boost start.
artsvarc.

For a quick start, press X, Square, X. Then, when the countdown reaches "3", press X.
Harry Buck.

Hint: Better start:
If you are not at the pole position, try to drive into the rear end of an opponent. He will lose control for a moment and you can pass.
mike veeren.

Never follow the opponents in front of you. Almost always, there is a faster route even if it is takes sharper bends.
mike veeren.

Hint: Powerful boosts in Crash Zones:
This trick works in one player and two player modes. When you are doing the Crash Zones, at the start immediately hold R1 for a boost. After a few seconds, press it again. This should give you more boost, which results in a faster speed and better crashes. Repeat this as many times as desired.
LivingDaylite007.

When you are doing Crash Zone 7 "Whip Up A Storm Of Metal And Glass", go to the right onto the dirt. You can have a wider angle to turn left at the intersection, and therefore have more speed for a greater crash.
LivingDaylite007.

Hint: Easy boost:
You can get a boost easier by doing drifts. However press Square, drift, then keep tapping Square for a better chance of not crashing.
Newman.

Drive on the wrong side of the road to receive a boost faster. If your opponent is in the wrong lane, follow him, but not to closely. This allows him to pass the traffic for you. Also, if he hits someone you can get out of he way if you are not too close. This is unlikely however, as the CPU follows the cars through a safer route. As long as you do not disturb him he will not hit anything. This will give you a faster and safer boost.
Matthew Bringley.

When you get a full boost meter, you can gain and use boost a lot faster by tapping X (Boost) button instead of holding it down and draining your boost all the way.
XlXwarnerveXlX.

In championship mode and face offs, choose the police car. Press X, Square, X and smoke should be coming out of your tires. When "Go" is about to appear, press X to get a boost.
Harry Buck.

Hint: Better slides:
When doing the tire burn, once you go around the turn and have a boost, press R1. You will speed up and take the turn very fast. Also, if you get a perfect lap you will automatically get a boost.
Choasmage.

Hint: Better crashing speed:
To gain more and better crashing speed, after the announcer says "Go!", back up (while looking back) until you hit the red wall. You can then gain more space to crash hard, and good.
DanaH.

Hint: Easy points:
If you are on a course that has a lot of bumps, do not drive the trucks, 1970's car, stock car, hotrod, or gangster. The best car for this are the Japanese muscle or the student driver car.
artsvarc.

When starting Stage 6, when it says "Lots of mayhem on the freeway", hold R1 + X and blast off. Go into the lane coming to you and look for blue van-type of car. Smash into it head first or at an angle to the left to crash. At first, only taxis will crash (about three or four) but a moment after that, an 18-wheeler semi carrying wood, another one, and a bus will follow, hitting you and followed by more. Then, other smaller cars will hit you. It is possible to get at least $40,200,000.

In Crash Zone 6, Dip Disaster, choose a car with bad acceleration (for example, the Classic or Gangster car). When you start, get out of the tunnel, slow down, and make a U-Turn. Go into the front of the tunnel in the opposite lane. Position yourself carefully and wait until a car crashes into you. Due to the tunnel being an enclosed area, vehicles will be crushed, especially when big vehicles are smashing in. It is possible to get $90,000,000 with this trick. Note: When you get out of the tunnel, go a slightly further to find the vehicles before making the U-turn; otherwise no vehicles will crash into you.
nazham othman.

Hint: Easy turbo:
Drive on the wrong side of the road until your turbo (NOS) tank or bar is full.
amykkempton.

Hint: Easy pursuit wins:
Try to get as close to the vehicle as you can when you have turbo. Then, use it and get in front of the car. Stay in front of it. It will try to get past you. When this happens, keep hitting it as it tries to pass.
Devilschild526.

In the pursuit modes, you can win the race immediately if you force the other car into a head-on collision with traffic -- this will stop them quite nicely.
Chris Parker.

Hint: Easy money in crash mode:
When you are about to hit the car you think will make the biggest crash, use the turbo and drive towards that car. Hit your brakes and do a power slide into the car. This should put you into the air. Note: This will not work on trucks.
Devilschild526.

For easy money in Crash Course 6, select a car that catches air easily (such as the SUV). Start with a boost and burn out of the tunnel. Go all the way to the left and hit that car.
artsvarc.

Hint: Easy gold medals in crash mode:
Learn which car to crash into first, then restart, do a boost start, then burn into it.
artsvarc.

Hint: Get traffic out of your way:
Press R3 when in the police car to turn your lights and siren on. The traffic should drive out of your way. Note: This is useful for near misses. It also sometimes gets you a Burnout X11
Harry Buck.

Hint: Avoid loss of perfect record:
When trying to achieve all gold medals in championship mode, if you fail to win one of the races, reset the PlayStation2 before it auto-saves. You can then choose to continue the championship and restart at the race you failed to win, without having to replay (and win) all the previous races.
Tobi-Wan.

When competing in multi-race championships, it is often frustrating when you get a gold in the first race but fail the next. To avoid this, choose to return to the main menu after a successful race. Go to the options, select "Save/Load", and save to a backup profile slot. Reload your original profile. Attempt the race, and if you succeed, again save to a backup profile and load your original profile again. If you fail, load the backup profile.
JohnoBoy.

Do an event without a memory card inserted. When you win the desired medal, the message "Memory card not inserted" will appear. Insert your memory card, and you will have avoided losing a perfect record.
Harry Buck.
