Final Fantasy 10 cheats: Items

Potions:
At the very beginning of the game, as you head down the long road to get to the Blitzball stadium, talk to the girl running around who talks about tickets more than once. Eventually she will say that tickets are sold out, and will ask if you can get tickets for her. Tell her you can, and she will reward you with two Potions.
Jeff.

Near the start of the game, when you get on the S.S. Liki after getting Yuna, you should be able to explore the ship for a little bit. When you get to walk around, go downstairs. A man will talk to you about your clothes. After he is done talking, go to the only open room (on the left side) in the hallway. You should see a seasick man with his head out the window. On the far right of the screen, you should see a suitcase similar to the one Yuna was going to bring on the boat. Go up to it and press X to kick it. You will receive a Potion. Keep kicking it to get about fifteen free Potions.
Chris Ruvolo, leviathan, Fatty180, T CONNOR, william illingworth, and others.

When you meet Yukku on the salvaged ship, talk to the man with a gun that has a knife on it. Talk to Yukku and talk to the other person. You can only understand Yukku, but after you talk to them all you will get three Potions.
thomas aprigliano.

Early in the game, after being forced on Rikku's Al Bhed ship, there will be a man who will tell you that you have to work to stay on the boat. Though you cannot understand him, Rikku will translate for you. There will be two other men waiting on the boat. One will give you three potions when you talk to him (the man all the way on the left of the three). Talk to Rikku, and you will jump off the boat. Swim down to the second screen, where you can see a big building with red lights, and fight a couple of battles. Swim back up to where you can return back to the ship. Talk to the man that gave you the free potions again, and he will give you three more. You can repeat this as many times as needed.
Bryan Tran.

When you are on the Al Bhed salvage ship. there is a man standing next to the save point. Talk to him and he will say something in Al Bhed and then give you three potions. Jump off the boat and go off the screen. Go back to the ship and talk to the man again. Keep doing this for about half an hour and you will get 99 potions.
Darkslide91602.

In Home during the Guado attack, you can take two Hi Potions from one of the fallen Al Bhed.
kuffler.

Elixirs:
When trying to master the game, you will need to max out everybody's HP. To do get the Break Damage Limit, HP-30, and HP-20. To get HP-20, you need Elixirs. To get them, go to the Zanarkand Dome and Bribe Ykt-11 for 125,000 to get 10 to 15 Elixirs.
ReyMo.

Grenades:
Use the following trick to get 99 grenades, and the Slayer Overdrive mode. Once you start the game and meet Rikku and are trying to find the Al Behd ship underwater, continue keep fighting them. Have Rikku steal, but do nothing else. Then, have Tidus kill anything you encounter. Continue doing this for about two hours, and you should have 99 grenades, and Tidus should get the Slayer Overdrive mode. If you are persistent enough, continue to train until he gets his second Overdrive. However even after you find the ship and are first visiting Besaid Island, you will have 99 grenades to use or sell.
John Schweer.

Items:
After your ship docks at the first town (the one torn apart by Sin), proceed through the intermission sequence with Yuna, and you will find yourself in a hut. Exit the hut, and proceed to the left side of the screen. You will see a child on a pile of rubble. Press X near the child to rescue her before the rubble collapses. Proceed to the hut at the top right of the current screen for a free item from the chest.
leviathan.

If you keep fighting the arena creation Stratoavis, most of the time you will win two to four Amulets, but in very rare instances you will win a Dark Matter.
Collin Beishir.

After you get the airship, revisit the temples. Go through the Temple Of Trials again. After you finish, the Fayth will talk to you and give you a very useful item. After the Fayth stops talking, there will be two to four chests with lots of useful Spheres.

Easy Jupiter Sigil:
Normally, you would have to win between 50 to 250 games of Blitzball to win the Jupiter Sigil as a Blitzball league prize. Use the following trick to win the Jupiter Sigil immediately after winning 50 games. First, win 50 games of Blitzball. You then have to win a Blitzball League. Save after the tenth round, but do not enter a new league yet. After saving, return to the Bltzball menu and you will be able to see the first place prize for the Bltzball League. Do not enter the league if the first place prize is not the Jupiter Sigil. Reset the game, go back to the Bltzball menu and you will see that the first place prize for the league has been changed. Keep resetting until the Jupiter Sigil appears as the prize, then win the league. This method can used for any item you want to win from a league.
biztak.

Easy Venus Sigil:
The trick requires an armor or weapon with No Encounters, a quiet place, and a close enough range to a Save Sphere that you can get struck by the lightning. Stand out in the open or walk. Wait for the screen to flash. Dodge the bolt. After every ten dodges, save your game. Continue until you reach 200 dodges and go to the Rin Travel Agency. The chest should have the Sigil inside.
Raiden536.

Sigil: Challenge the Cactuars of the Sanubia Desert to find this sigil. Start at the Cactuar monument in front of the sandstorm. It will tell you where one of the ten missing Cactuars can be found. When you find each one, it will play a quick game with you. You must capture it before the timer runs out, however if it sees you moving, you will lose. Is not actually important to win these games -- do not worry if you fail. Return the green orb to the monument to get a clue about the next Catuar. The Cactuars appear in a random order. There locations are:
Tomay: At the Mikanel Island Oasis (first desert area)
Roviva: Northwest area of the second desert area
Chava: Hiding behind the Al Behd 20% off sign in the fourth desert area
Alek: Running around the ruins in the west section of the third desert area

Crest: Investigate a concealed chest in the area of Mt. Gagazet, just beyond where you fought Seymor. It is behind a pillar on the left.
Sigil: Win the butterfly catching mini-game in the Macalania Forest. You must touch all the blue butterflies with the allotted time limit. Touching a red butterfly incites a battle that wastes precious time.

Low MP spells:
Equip items with the one MP ability and Magic Booster. This makes each spell cast cost one MP, and Magic Booster makes the damage x1.5 for double the MP. Then, double cast these spells for a cost of only 4 MP.
TheStallion2006.

If you do not have 1 MP or Half MP abilities, use the following trick to use considerably less MP for maximum damage. Have one person with Doublecast and Ultima, and everyone (including the one with Doublecast and Ultima) with Copycat. Doublecast Ultima (180 MP), then have everybody use Copycat (28 MP). After the first 180 MP, it will only cost 28 MP to Doublecast Ultima.
Eric Lord Raven Junior.

Speak perfect Al Bhed at the start:
Play through and collect all the Al Bhed Primers, then save the game. Start a new game. At the point where Tidus first arrives in Spira, he is in the water with a bird on it. When he can move, swim over to the left of the screen. Over on that side is an Al Bhed Compilation Sphere. Make sure that you have the same memory card in that your first game was saved to. Touch the sphere and have it compile the Al Bhed dictionary. Check your key items. You will now find that you have every single Al Bhed Primer that you found in your first game. If you found all 26 of them, you will be speaking perfect Al Bhed, even before meeting Rikku for the first time. Note: If this is done, all the Al Bhed Primers will disappear from the "new" game, as you will already have them. Also, you can roam and get every single Primer in the game except for XXII, which is in the Temple Of Bevelle -- If you did not get it the first time around, you will have to wait until you can get it in the second game. All other Primers can be found at any time in the game.
Mirajj.

Get missed Al Bhed Primer:
Note: This can be done in the International English version of the game. If you missed the Al Bhed Primers 19 to 22, you can get it by using the "Replay Al Bhed Home again" trick. Get inside the Al Bhed home and get the book.
Zell Dintch.

To get the Al Bhed Primer(s) without starting your main file over, start a new game. Do what you have to do, and when you get to the location that you missed the Al Bhed Primer(s), pick the book(s) up and go to a sphere that looks like your save location. There are some that resemble a save location that tell you how good you are in talking the Al Bhed language, but to tell you one that does transfer your Al Bhed Primers go back to your main file then you can go to the first place you went where you were almost eaten by a monster. After you are there, find the sphere on the top right hand corner. Before you select it, it will ask you to get a file. Choose the file that has the Al Bhed Primer(s) that you missed.
Cameron Dodd.

Easy Sphere levels:
Catch all the monsters in the Calm Lands and then get the Chimerageist at the Monster Arena and fight it multiple times. Along with normal levels, you will get Return Spheres. Go to the Sphere Grid and use Return Spheres to go to an already activated Sphere with an un-activated one next to it. Activate it and use the Return Spheres to move to it. Repeat this to get as many as desired and keep fighting Chimerageist to get more Spheres and Dark Matter.
chris.

This trick requires lots of gil. For level 3 Key Spheres, go to the Omega Ruins and run around until you fight a Demonolith. You can bribe one for 900,000 gil to get 40 level 3 Key Spheres. Getting level 4 Key Spheres is even easier; go to the Calm Lands and run around (preferably in the northwest, as they appear in battles more often there) until you fight a Chimera Brain. You can bribe it for only 196,000 gil to get two level 4 Key Spheres.
KiefDia.

Save a Sphere level:
You must have a Return Sphere. Go to the node that you used, then use the Return Sphere.
ROCKDJ2XX5.

Moving around the Sphere Grid:
You can get around the Sphere Grid easily if you have done the Monster Arena quest to get Chimerageist, as you will win Return Spheres. If you are on the Sphere Grid with FX. a MP sphere ahead of you, activate it. Use the Return Sphere to get to it with no Sphere Grid level used. Note: Sometimes there are empty spots; you must use a sphere level or fill it with a special attribute sphere. Also, if you have the Magus Sisters, you can beat Chimerageist faster and with better chances for overkill, so you would get two Return Spheres. It sometimes drops Dark Matter.
Omnislasher.

Braska Sphere:
When you get to the Thunder Plains, go all the way to the right then keep going up. You will eventually find a Braska Sphere.
remons.

Luck Spheres:
When going through Macalania Temple (where you acquired Shiva) after fighting Seymour, you can place the Destruction Sphere in the appropriate slot to reveal a Luck Sphere. After you take it, return to the room where you fought Seymour. Then, go back into the Trials again. It has been reset (including the chest holding the Luck Sphere). You can repeat the puzzle again and take as many Luck Spheres as desired.
Zetirix.

Magic Defense Spheres:
If you are training and trying to get a lot of Magic Defense Spheres and are running low on money, just fight One Eye at the Monster Arena until you get all the Magic Defense Spheres desired. Sell all the extra weapons you get from One Eye after the battle to Rin (the AlBed on the airship).
ruby1.

Getting the last Music Sphere:
After purchasing all the Music Spheres (#1 to #68), talk to the man again and he will offer the last three Music Spheres, which are #69 Hum Of The Fayth, #70 Lulu's Theme, and #71 Wakka's Theme, for 40,000 gil.
Edric Solis.

Control Yuna's Movie Sphere:
When watching the sphere that Yuna dropped at Mt. Gagazet, you can use the Analog-stick to move around and see more of the picture. However, it will move a bit slow.
nick rickerson.

Music Spheres:
The set costs 136,000 gil and special Music Spheres 176,000 gil. The individual cost is 2,000 gil. There are 71 Music Spheres altogether. There names are:

Easy Dark Matters:
When you battle the Dark Yojimbo in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, you will encounter him four times. For the first encounter, have Yuna in your party with a weapon with First Strike. Summon Yojimbo and pay him to do Zanmato. You will defeat the Dark Yojimbo and likely get a Dark Matter and an armor with the Break HP Limit ability. After that, you will have to run after his master . On the way, there will be a Save Sphere. Save the game, then reset it. Resume the game and you will no longer be pursuing Yevon. You will have to battle him from the start. Do the same thing repeatedly, until you get 60 Dark Matters to customize a weapon with Break Damage Limit ability or an armor with the Ribbon ability.
Christian Kakavoules.

When fighting Dark Yojimbo in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, save the game (using the saving crystal inside the cavern). Defeat him each time. When you defeat him the fourth time, save and use the "In-game reset" code. When you load the file, you will start at the saving crystals (inside the cavern). You can now fight Dark Yojimbo repeatedly as many times as desired.
George Sng.

Easy Farplane Winds:
Capture all the creatures in the Calm Lands to create "Chimerageist" in the Monster Arena. He will give you 60 Farplane Winds.
Collin Beishir.

Easy Three Stars:
Capture ten of each creature from two different areas and he will create Earth Eater. When he does that, he will give you 60 Three Stars.
Collin Beishir.

Easy Wings To Discovery:
To get 60 Wings To Discovery without bribing Malabro or Great Malabro, first capture all the monsters in Mt. Gagazet. Then, capture all the monsters in the Calm Lands. Go to the Monster Arena Trainer and talk to him once. Do not fight the arena creation. A chest containing Yuna's best weapon will drop down . Open it, then talk to the trainer again. Do not fight the arena creation. He will give you some items. Talk to him again for the 60 Wings To Discovery. If he does not give it to you, keep talking to him until he does.
Sea89522.

Capture about four of each Water Fiend in Gagazet then go talk to the Monster Arena Trainer. He will have made a monster. You have to fight it underwater. It has 2,000,000 health and if you overkill it, you get two Wings To Discovery.

To get many Wings To Discovery, bribe a Malboro for 300,001 gil. You will get two to four of them. If the Malboro does not leave, then continue bribing for 1000 gil each time. It should then go away.
lodai.

You can bribe Wings To Discovery from the Malboros for 300,004 gil instead of using Millions. To make this process quicker, equip a weapon with Gillionare then go to the Omega Ruins and fight Mimics. Each Mimic will give you a little over 100,000 gil.
rogue knight.

To be able to put Break HP limit on any one armor, you must go to Remiem Temple (the one with the Magus sisters in the Calm Lands) and defeat the Chocobo with x3 Treasure Chests and no rods. And easy way to do this is once you start, go straight and open the treasure chest there. If it is the correct chest, you should jump down one level. When you land, go straight back up and open that one. If it is the correct one, you should jump down two levels. Then, go straight and open that one. If it is the correct one you should fly straight across. Then, just make a left at the first "exit" going down that you see. It should make you go backwards. Then, just keep going down and you will win.
