Secret Message 1:
Complete God mode in the North American NTSC version
to reveal a U.S. telephone number you can call for a message (1-800-613-8840).

, Jason Voorhees,
and Andy L..
Secret Message 2:
Alternately, keep hitting the two statues at your throne
at the end of the game. Eventually they will break, giving you
a puzzle of a group of numbers. These numbers are for a U.S. telephone
number you can call for a funny message (1-888-447-5594).
Erick.
In the PAL version of the game this will be replaced with a bonus
intermission sequence featuring the events after the Ares and
Minotaur statues are destroyed.

Hint: Move faster:
Press Right Analog-stick Forward to roll forward,
then press R1 to execute a Hermes Rush shoulder charge
before the roll ends. Repeat this to move faster.
Jason Voorhees.
In order to get rid of the pause in between dodge rolls and also
move faster, repeatedly tap an attack button while doing so (excluding
certain attacks such as Hermes Rush). Instead of performing the
attack, the dodge roll will stop it, and continue moving.
Trogdor458.
Hint: Easy red orbs:
When you set off to find the two shields for the sculpture,
go back into the room with the broken off stairs. Go up, get across
the narrow boards, and pull the lever. The rope goes down and
you can slide down it. Go across the rope where soldiers try to
kill you. Get to the other side, then get out the Blade of Artemis
(L1 + R1). Then, get the Hades shield and run up
to the ledge where you can jump off to the rope going up. Many
soldiers will appear. Use the Blade Of Artemis to kill them all.
This will give you a lot of red orbs, and more time spared.
DunkRabbit.
When you are fighting the first Ares at the end of the game, do
not kill him. Just stab him once with his leg and let him hit
you off. You should get 1,000 orbs. Keep doing this for a lot
of orbs and any weapon, or any of magic that you have not maxed
out. You will need it against all the clones in the next battle.
When you get on the ship at the end of the first level after defeating
the Boss Hydra, jump on the bed and press R2. Follow the
commands as prompted on the screen. When the vase falls off the
night stand you will get some orbs. The second time you do it,
you will only get five orbs.

Play as Dairy Bastard with Medusa Gaze in the temple of the Temple
Of The Oracle. Upgrade it, then use it to freeze them to gain
30 orbs each. Do this as much as desired to gain red orbs easily,
which can only reach 199 bars of red orbs (which equals 60,000
red orbs).
brett.
After your encounter with Medusa, where you have to rip Medusa's
head off, you are told to use it to freeze the Mintoaurs. They
will keep respawning until you have killed enough of them with
Medusas Gaze. However, do not use Medusas Gaze. Instead, use Poseidon's
Rage. The magic box will keep refilling itself. Use Poseidon's
Rage in the beginning to stun the Mintoaurs. Notice your hits
combo on the lower right-hand side. Because the magic box will
keep filling, do this as many times as you can to get the possible
hit combo to about 100. To keep increasing your combo, do a mini-game
with one of the Mintoaurs in between the combo. You will receive
20 orbs after the kill. Your magic box will be full now. Then,
keep repeating Poseidon's Rage to increase your combo to potentially
400 to 500 hits. The orbs will increase 15, 20, 30, and 45 every
other 50 hit or 100 hit increase. Try maxing out your Poseidon's
Rage first. When maxed out, go crazy with it because the Mintoaurs
keep respawing. Poseidon's Rage will be so explosive that after
you are done killing the three spawned Mintoaurs with the Circle
tap, they will die, respawn, die again, and respawn. You can have
a hit combo of roughly 900 to 1,000 hits. Your orb bars will fill
extremely fast. When satisfied, use the orbs to max out anything
else.
Bill Zobel.
After you collect both Muse Keys, go back to the rings of Pandora.
Go to the first ring and turn it to the passage with no traps
and a door at the end. Go up to the door and open it with the
keys. Inside you will find special sand that raises your Health,
Magic, and experience points. You will also find Red Orb chests.
Taylor.
When you are above Hades hall and walking along the boards, you
can jump from the first platform to the next, and the first red
chest back to the platform. When you get to the little hole thing
in the wall you can jump to the second chest platform.
Taylor.
After you kill Medusa, do not use her magic to kill the Minotaurs.
While in this room, you will have unlimited magic. Use Poseidon's
Rage. Kill the Minotaurs this way until they stop giving red orbs.
Use Medusa's magic to get out of the rooms.
Brian Stafford.
In the Harpy room, do not block the holes. Kill some Harpies until
they stop giving red orbs. Then, block the holes.
Brian Stafford.
Hint: Easy kills:
This strategy may be cheap, but it is incredibly easy
and helpful when fighting multiple Minotaurs and other enemies.
It requires at least a level 2 Blades Of Chaos. Knock them up
with R1 + X. When in the air, release R1
and press Circle to grab its leg and hurl it back to the
ground. The Minotaur will bounce back up, giving you multiple
chances to repeat the throw. It should only take three or four
throws to kill a Minotaur this way. As the minotaurs get stronger,
you will need to knock them back up by pressing the Right Analog-stick
towards it, then pressing X. Note: This requires a level
5 Blades Of Chaos. This strategy works on other monsters, such
as Skeleton Soldiers, Skeleton Archers, and Gorgons. Using this
strategy with Gorgons may require more practice than it would
with the other monsters.
Aaron Tymec.
Hint: Easy experience:
Fight the Hydra while using the Dairy Bastard costume.
After completing the game and the Challenge Of The Gods you can
restart the game. If you play as the Dairy Bastard you can gain
lots of easy experience while fighting the Hydra by continuously
using Poseidon's Rage to get the combo count as high as possible.
Because the Hydra cannot die unless you grab and kill it, there
is not limit to the combos.
Xiahoububba.
When you are in the room after you decapitate Medusa for the first
time, Aphrodite should tell you to freeze the Minotaurs to continue.
Do not do this. Instead, switch to Poseidon's Rage and keep using
it on the Minotaurs. Because you have unlimited magic in this
room, get as many combos as desired. The red orbs stop appearing
at 1000 hits. However you can stop the combo at any time and repeat
this trick to get many orbs. Keep some saved for the weapons that
you will unlock later.
jalmar coyle.
You can gain easy experience points after fighting the Hydra.
Jump on the bed the two girls are on and press Circle to
enter a mini-game. If completed properly, the mini-game will give
you experience points.
Some Dude.
Hint: The Gates Of Athens: Easy orbs:
Use the following trick to max out your Blades Of Chaos,
Poseidon's Rage and Medusa's Gaze. After you reach Athens and
you encounter the Oracle's image. climb up the stairs. You will
see Ares for the first time. Save the game here. This will take
a lot of time to do. Walk to your left down the stairs and enter
the gate. Ares' fireball will break the gate, locking you inside.
In order to get out you must lure a Minotaur to the switch and
freeze him so you can slide out. However, do not do that and do
not leave this room. Kill as many Minotaurs as possible until
no more of them give you orbs. Notice that no matter how many
Minotaurs you kill, they will keep respawning. You can use as
much magic as desired. As long as you are in that room, the magic
box will keep refilling. Every time a Minotaur comes out, freeze
him with Medusa's Gaze and break him. Every time you do this,
you will receive fifteen orbs. If you run out of magic, refill
with the box. If you run low on life, fight the Minotaur then
do the mini-game to get some health back. Keep freezing then breaking
them to get unlimited orbs.
Eddie The Big Yeti Guerra.
Hint: Pandora's Temple: Skull lock:
When you first get to the rings of Pandora's Temple,
run around the ring. There is a skull-shaped lock, with a skull-shaped
hollow. To open the door you must go to the sarcophagus of the
architect's son. Pull off the lid and jump on the body. Rapidly
press RB2 and eventually the head will come off.
DunkRabbit.
Hint: Temple Of The Oracle: Easy orbs:
First, unlock Dairy Bastard. Enter the Temple Of The
Oracle. Keep using Gorgon Flash. Because there is an unlimited
amount Harpies, you can get an unlimited amount of red orbs. Note:
Each kill is worth 30 red orbs.
Mark Reaves.
Hint: Defeating Ares:
When fighting Ares in the final battle in God mode,
Ares should first stick his sword in the ground and crush you
with the four pillars. If not, keep evading Ares until he does.
When Ares tries to crush you with the four pillars, roll toward
Ares and let him have it with the sword. Use the L1 + Square
combo then roll away from Ares. Ares will then start chasing you.
Keep evading him until he tries to attack you. Then, go up to
Ares and let him have it again by just pressing X. This
is where your swords should clash and a mini game will start,
where you have to simultaneously press Circle. If you win
the mini game, you will take a good chunk of Ares' health. Then,
repeat the process until Kratos is victorious.
Lonnie Z.
Hint: Defeating the Minotaur Boss:
Use the following trick to defeat the Minotaur Boss
under the God difficulty setting. Go to the wooden door to get
the Minotaur to come out. An intermission sequence will start.
Instead of an all-out-brawl, run to the platform behind you. The
Minotaur will follow, and this is where you should fight him.
All of his attacks can be blocked. The only bothersome one is
where he grabs and throws you back on the floor. This does not
cause too much damage. After a few hits, his armor springs a leak.
After a few more leaks he will run away and hide. If you are still
on the platform, quickly run to him and start the mini-game. After
you follow the rotations, you can hit him with a log. Repeat this
cycle until his armor his gone and you can now kill him. Keep
using those tactics and eventually he will run away and you can
kill him with a log. If you choose to fight him on the ground,
he has special attacks that are bothersome and damaging.
Brian Stafford.
Use the following trick before battling the Minotaur Boss under
the God difficulty setting. Have Zeus' Rage magic maxed out in
order to take out his armor very quickly . Use the super charge
(hold R2 + Triangle). Two hits will spring a leak.
Make sure to stand in the corner where his hands cannot get you.
This is magic consuming, but
it will drop magic orbs when the armor springs a leak. If you
run out of magic, just hit
its right hand to damage the armor. Eventually you will break
the armor. Then,
kill it armor-less.
ShadowWolf18.
Hint: Muse Keys:
The first muse key is behind the statue of atlas in
a chest. The other key is found after you have defeated the green
three headed dogs for the first time you go outside and can see
Kronos crawling. When you get on the top ledge, do not go to the
left. Instead. go to the right and you will find the obvious Muse
Key. After discovering them you will return to the Rings Of Pandora.
Insert both keys into the door after turning the handle, then
a room will be revealed. Go in and stand underneath every statue
with the sand coming out of their mouths and press R2.
You will rewarded with twice the amount of your current red orbs,
increase your health a level, as well as your magic.
Arshia Seyedi.
Hint: Harpy puzzle:
When you are in the room filled with Harpies that keep
coming out, kill them and notice that they are coming out of odd-looking
holes. To stop them, use the shields of the statues in the room
to block the entrance. The left statue goes in the right hole,
and the right statue is for the left hole. Once all are blocked,
kill the remaining Harpies. Go up the stairs to the ledge with
the boards that fall off when you are going across. Do not worry
if you fall off many times. The Harpies cannot get out. Also if
the boards fall off, you will eventually find the boards that
do not.
DunkRabbit.
Hint: Escape Medusa's maze:
There are many ways to escape the maze. Use evade (Right
Analog-stick) many times, slash them with the blades, shoulder
charge them (if unlocked, used as R1), use the Wrath Of
Poseidon if you have any special remaining, or the special Zeus'
Fury, your own Medusa's Gaze, the Blade Of Artemis, or just rip
their head off (if Circle appears above their head).
DunkRabbit.
Hint: Extra Magic Feathers:
After receiving Poseidon's Trident and passing through
the tunnel behind the statue, there are four Nyad daughters you
can find while swimming underwater. Note: Some of them are hidden
behind breakaway walls. Press Circle by any one of them
to kiss them. Most of them will offer up a Magic Feather, while
some may randomly leave you with nothing.
Andy L.
Hint: Sit on throne:
At the end of the game, press the Right Analog-stick
Down to quickly sit down in the God of War's throne.
Teemtopag2.
Hint: Move very fast:
Once you have the Blade Of Artemis, equip it then hold
R1 and use the Right Analog-stick to move very fast.
spincast.
Hint: Hidden cover:
Slip the cover sheet out of the game's case and look
at the back to find alternate cover art.
Glitch: Guards still fighting Hyrda:
After you defeat the Hydra and take the rope back to
the other boat with the trapped women, go to the location where
you originally entered that boat. Walk the boards back and you
can see the two guards fighting a Hydra head, after you killed
the main head.
thomas vollano.
Glitch: Pandora's Temple: Unlimited experience:
During Atlas's Quest in Pandora's Temple, you will
encounter a series of stone walls which you can climb. Several
armored legionnaires will try to knock you off of the wall. Kill
all of them and climb to the top of the tallest ledge. A glitch
Harpy will begin to screech, and blood (experience) will start
to shoot at you. It will last for as long as you stay in the area.
This is a cheap way to raise your weapons and magic spells to
the maximum. If you look close enough by one of the treasure chests,
you will see what looks like a holographic Harpy flying in one
spot.
SmashaOne.
Glitch: Blade of Artemis disappears:
When you have the blade out, go across a rope. When
you jab you will use your old blades. When you get off, your old
blades are shown in use. Just press L1 + R1.
DunkRabbit.
Glitch: Unable to continue Challenge of
Atlas:
In the Challenge of Atlas, go to the room where there
is a giant statue of Atlas before inserting Athena's handle. Go
up to the switch and pull it three or four times. It will get
stuck in the pulled position and you will not be able to go any
further. Note: This must be done before the handle is obtained.
Neil Sen.
Glitch: Kill archers in one hit:
In the Hydra level when you meet the archers, go up
to them and grab one at the end. Then, press Square. You
will swing and the archers will be dead.
Reaper.
Glitch: Move through wall:
When you are in Hades at the end at the rotating wall
with the spikes, while climbing up the wall, avoid the blades
and onto the second section (which should be rotating clockwise).
Stay in one location and let Kratos get caught between the rotator
and the wall. He will be thrown through the wall into the lake
below.
Harley Cheesbro.
Glitch: Leave level boundary in Poseidon's
Challenge:
Get underwater, just before you go through the mouth
into that room with the revolving spikes and saws that closes
in on you. [Screenshot]
Just before the mouth, swim upwards. Keep swimming up to the roof.
Once you reach the roof, keep trying to swim upwards. Swim left
and right along the roof. Your character should slide up into
a small spot on the roof. Once he does, swim to the right off
the roof. Your character should go through the wall and leave
the level boundary. [Screenshot]
Once your character is outside the level, the camera angle is
going to flip around. You will get a strange view of some saw
blades and objects. When your camera does this, swim upwards and
keep going up until your camera angle changes. Everything except
Kratos should turn black. All you should see is Kratos, and hopefully
a small white dot in front of him. [Screenshot]
When you see that, swim towards it for about two seconds. Then
move downwards and to the right and keep swimming. [Screenshot]
You should see the outside of Poseidon's Domain when you are close
enough. If you swim too far from it, it disappears. If you swim
too close to it, the camera angle changes to the inside of the
level while your character is still outside of it. If that happens,
simply try to swim away from the wall for a moment and it should
switch back. You can use this to get anywhere in the level. If
you can find the correct area of the outside of the level, you
can simply swim through the wall into the area you want to be
in. If you get stuck or lost, simply restart at the checkpoint
and you most likely will end up at the save point. From there,
go back to the glitch location and repeat it.
