Dalton.
Hint: Extra push in tackles:
When you are a defender about to give a head-on-collision
to the runner, press the Right Analog-stick Down to give
extra push in your tackles, increasing the chance of a fumble.
Darren C. Sutton.
Hint: Diving hit-stick tackle:
Quickly press Square, then the Right Analog-stick
in any direction. Your player will dive forward, then go for
the big hit.
Erggman.
Hint: Easy tackles:
You can get numerous easy tackles with your MLB by
using him during your kickoffs. Go to coaching strategies and
find "Kickoff". Assign the third player from the left
to be your MLB. Assign the first two players on the left as very
slow CBs or FSs. When you kick off, kick the ball to the left
side where your MLB is assigned. If you do not kick it too deeply,
your MLB will be the first one downfield and will go unblocked
into the return man. Note: If you have the roster space and some
money, create a CB and FS and make all of their attributes zeros.
You should have no trouble signing them to a contract. You can
then use them on your kickoff squad and they will almost never
make it downfield. With this trick, in addition to the tackles
your MLB gets during the game, he will get one for every kickoff
as well.
the enforcer.
Hint: Easy sacks:
When it is time to choose a play on defense, look at
the top of the play calling screen. Above there is a bar that
indicates how many running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends
your opponent has on the field. Note: This only works if you are
the only one playing. If the opponent has four or more wide receivers,
one or less tight end, and two or less running backs on the play
(the play works better if the amount of wide receivers is higher
and tight ends and running backs are lower), choose "Goaline"
and go to "Blitz C". Shift your line and outside linebackers
to the right, then choose the last person on your line. After
the snap, press Down + Triangle. Your team will
blitz the QB. You will get the sack or force an interception on
the play. This works about 85% of the time.
QB kiLLa.
Go to the settings and turn off offsides. Get a fast runner, go
to the line of scrimmage, and keep running. He will be running
in place. When the QB calls hike, he will run past the defenders
and get a sack. This works about 80% of the time.
Baseballking6893.
Hint: Easy sacks:
First, create a very good free safety and put him on
your team. When you are configuring your game, enable "Easy
Play" and set your defense to 3-4. Once the game has started,
turn off offsides. Select 3-4. go down once, and press X.
This play works best with this strategy. Then, select your FS
and press Left Analog-stick Up + Right Analog-stick
Down. This creates an impenetrable wall of defenders by making
your line widen (covering those pesky TEs) and your linebackers
in more for when the other team tries a dive. Once you have selected
this, simply run up to the right of the line (the left side of
the screen) about three feet to the outside of your DE. Simply
keep running; as you will not move though your legs do. When the
QB hikes the ball, keep running for him and sprint at him. If
they try a run or pass, and as long as you are not blocked a sack
is guaranteed. This also works with punts, although you must jump
for the punter.
ArtLegos3.
Hint: Easy onside kick recovery:
Get the power rating between 65 and 80; and the accuracy
between 40 and 80. You should recover the kick about 90% of the
time. For an even greater chance, try to get the power between
70 and 75; and the accuracy between 70 and 75.
jmdancy.
Hint: Easy blocked punts:
It is possible to block a punt as long as it is against
an opponent. Select "Punt Block" if you are sure your
opponent is going to punt the ball. Then, take the cornerback
on the weak side and get as close to the line of scrimmage as
you can without going over. Watch your opponent's meter, and as
soon as you think he will stop it, sprint across the line and
just run directly into the punter. Do not try a big hit unless
you want a fumble because you might miss him.
Chase A. DeLaney.
Select "Punt Block". The CPU will audible to bring in
blockers. Take the fastest man from left side and bring him to
the right so that he is the last man on the line of scrimmage
. Just as the last man is about to be set on the CPU's team, come
from right off the line of scrimmage and avoid blockers by running
straight down then hit the punter. Note: You may want to try this
at 4th and 6 or longer so a 5 yard flag will not give them a first
down.
BiGwIlLy726.
Hint: Easy pass:
Go to the "I Formation" and select "Slants"
as a route. The key receiver is "Square". Wait one or
two seconds then throw to the key receiver, who will catch the
ball every time.
Turbo5245.
Choose any pass play and select "Hot Route". Select
your best receiver and press Left Analog-stick Up. Run
towards his side (behind the line of scrimmage) and tap Left
Analog-stick Up while you tap the receiver's button. This
works about 90% of the time.
Metmike27.
When throwing the ball, let the CPU catch, then start to move
the D-pad to run toward the endzone. This works best with
the Washington Redskins.
Passing King.
Hint: Easy gains on run plays:
Enable the "Human Plow" Madden Card which
increases your break tackles. Make sure your running back has
a good break tackle rating (for example,Jamal Lewis or Stephen
Davis). Also make sure it is a Gold card to make it effective
throughout the entire game.
BUTTHEADRULZ14.
Hint: Easy wins:
Create a half-back with all the important stats full,
and all the stats that he does not need lower. For example, raise
his running ability and lower tackling. Sign him and make him
your starting half-back. While in the game pause and go to "Settings",
then "Gameplay". Go down to "A.I." and make
your team have full stat bars. Make the CPU have empty stat bars.
Then, go to "Penalties". Turn off "Offsides"
and "False Starts". Resume the game. When you are on
defense, be a lineman and run towards the quarterback. When the
ball is snapped, press Circle and run at the quarterback.
Sometimes you will get a sack. If they throw the ball, they will
usually drop it. Keep running the ball with your new half-back.
John Clark.
Hint: Signing players to low salaries:
This trick will allow you to sign any player, no matter
how big their default salary is, to a three year low-salary contract.
You must do this before starting a franchise. First, edit the
player's attributes from whatever they are currently down so that
their overall rating is exactly 75. Depending on the position,
you should be able to achieve this by simply lowering one or sometimes
two of their attributes. Make sure to make a note what the original
rating was so you can store the value later. Once all players
you are editing are at an overall rating of 75, release the players
to free agency. After releasing each player (you may have to sign
some "no-name" players to your roster to maintain roster
requirements, but you can release those temporary players later),
back out of the roster management screen to the main menu. Choose
the option to "Continue without saving" (this may not
be necessary). Reenter the roster management screen and select
"Free Agents." Go to whichever team you want to sign
the players to and start looking for your players. You should
notice that their new requested salaries and contract lengths
will be for three years at a very low salary (depending on the
position). Once you have signed all of your players back (and
released the temporary players), go back to editing the players
and return them to the original ratings. Note: According to the
manual, your players will become upset if they feel they are being
underpaid for how good they are performing -- you will more than
likely have to re-sign some contracts throughout the year, but
with the cap room you will save.
the enforcer.
Note: This trick only works on contracts that have completely
expired. During the off-season, instead of resigning your players,
edit them. Change their position to something that will lower
their overall ratings. For example, move a DT to a TE; or make
your QB a WR. Then, resign the player. He will play poorly at
his new position, making him extremely cheap. Not all player positions
can be changed, but a lot of them can -- especially the higher
dollar positions. After you resign the player, move him back to
his original position. His overall rating will return without
any negative affects. For example, it is possible to resign LeRoy
Glover to a six year deal worth $1.5 million with no signing bonus
at the age of 32, with an overall rating of 97 by moving him to
TE.
David Warthen.
Whenever you have to re-sign a player in franchise mode, go to
player management and edit the player's position to something
that would lower his stats. Re-sign him, then change him back
to his original position. For example, make your QB a WR, and
sign him. This also works for free agents, but not for draft picks.
You cannot edit draftees until they are signed.
Adam Berry.
Hint: Getting good players:
In order to get a team that will last three to four
years of dominance, must start with a team with lots of long contracts
in place (for example, the Lions). They have four or six, six
and seven year contracts on the good rookies. Trade for other
players with long contracts. The first person you need to trade
is the tight end that makes $12 million a year. Kellen Winslow
from the Browns makes a good replacement. Make sure to not build
too good of a roster, as your players have personalities and will
get upset if they do not start, get the ball, etc. However, a
decent roll playing team with outstanding players at these positions
will take it every time. QB, HB, WR, or a second WR will not hurt.
With DE/DT OLB/MLB CB SS/FS, 80-85 on every other player is more
than sufficient. Also, if you trade these players from the rosters
before your franchise, you can then edit them to make them better.
However, be careful not to go too high on all of them, as they
will all want more money and cause major backroom problems.
justin palmer.
Use the following trick to get high draft picks every year. Each
year after pre-season, simulate or play the games up until week
5. Check the standings to learn who has the worst record so far.
Then, initiate a trade with the worst team. Offer the worst team
your first round pick for their first and third round picks. They
will usually accept. If they do not, find another team that is
bad and offer the same deal to them. Once they accept, you can
then usually offer both of your third round picks to another bad
team for their first round pick. Then after the season is over,
you will generally have two first round picks very high in the
first round. You will be without a third round pick, but it is
well worth it for the two first round picks.
Jake Bumgarner.
Use any roster. Take the thirrd string or very last player in
your depth chart and edit the player. You can do anything you
want with him and his salary will be the same, no matter how bad
or good he is.
BluecollerdSxfn.
If you find a great player as a free agent, you can sign him if
you have a salary cap over $1 million. Just give the player seven
years and your salary cap will get lower, but will not go under
0.
Darren C. Sutton.
First, do a Fantasy Draft with any team other than the Falcons.
Once you finish the training camp, preseason, and five weeks in
the regular season, look at the standings in the NFC East. You
should see that the Falcons are 1-4 or 0-5. Trade your first round
pick for their first round pick. This usually works. If not, trade
with the next worst team.
Darren C. Sutton.
In franchise mode, create an offensive lineman that is 45 years
old. Set his years in the league to 27. Put his stats all the
way up, then sign him on free agency. Next, trade with any team
and get any player or pick you desire. This works best with getting
first round picks, but can also get a lot of good players. Because
he is an offensive lineman, he will not have a huge impact on
a team winning and will retire at the end of the season.
Turbo5245.
In franchise mode, go to "My Team", then "Team
Info". Scroll over to "Team Morale". Look under
the other team's morale for unhappy players. Those player will
be easy to trade for.
Jacolby.
Note: If you are starting a franchise with a created team, do
not sign too many star players because you will be over the cap
limit, and your players will complain about playing time. To have
a good team, sign a QB, halfback, and wide receiver all with ratings
of 85 to 99. For defense, sign a good middle linebacker, a good
safety (strong or free), and a good cornerback, also all 85 or
above. This will leave your team with a good offense and defense,
and it will keep them under the cap limit.
E-A-G-L-E-S fanatic81.
If you want to create a quarterback with a 99 rating, but do not
want to use all of your salary cap space, use the following trick.
When you go to create your player, do not make his position QB.
Instead, make him a kicker. Set his physical looks as usual. When
adjusting his attributes, increase everything up to 99 except
for his kick accuracy and kick power. Leave those two attributes
at 50. His overall rating will still be 12. Once done, go into
free agency and sign him. He will only want the league minimum.
Then, go into your depth chart and start him as your QB. Since
almost all his stats are 99, he will play better than any QB in
the game, and you will not make a dent in your salary cap.
Jason Miller.
Before starting franchise mode, go to rosters and make all the
second and third string players at a 12 rating. Make all the first
string players at or above 90. Turn injuries off. If you turn
the injuries off you should never have to use your second or third
string. Making their rating at 12 will let you sign players for
very little money. You will probably lose all of the preseason
games, but will dominate and win all season games.
TERESATLC2.
This trick allows you to make quite a bit of more salary cap room.
You can easily get $8 to 10 million more. Before you advance to
the Off-Season mode (any time during the season), go into "View
Rosters". Sort the players by the number of years left on
their contracts so that ones with the fewest years remaining are
shown on top of the list. For anyone that you want to keep, re-sign
them to a seven year contract and adjust the salary and signing
bonus to get the most cap room from that player. Continue with
all remaining players that you want to keep. You will get more
cap room from players with the fewest years remaining on their
contract. It does not work as well with if there are five to six
years left. If you have players that can resist injury really
well, there is not much need for good backups. You can sign lower
quality backups to help clear up some cap room.
Mark Baumhardt.
Create a very good quarterback. Make his speed and catching stats
low. Release one player and sign your created player. Trade your
created player for whomever desired. Then, go back to the create
a player. Select the person you just traded. Make him very fat
and change his position to wide receiver. He will not catch a
pass, and if he does he will not run very far. Try to make the
created players signing bonus low so that it is not a waste of
money.
John Clark.
Start a franchise and make every team player-controlled. Before
playing any games, go to "Roster", then to "Trade
Player". You can trade any player desired to any team. Stack
your favorite team with all of the best players. The CPU will
not stop you from any trade based on salary cap or team interest.
You can put up to 55 of the best players in the NFL on one team.
After you have your team set, export the team for use in other
game modes.
Matt.
From the main menu, go to the "Features" menu. Then,
go to "Rosters". Next, go to "View Rosters".
Select pick a player and go to "Attributes". Change
all of them to 99. It is recommended that this only be done for
the first string players, as it requires a lot of time. To change
them back, delete the rosters from your hard drive or memory card.
Erggman.
To get a dream team in franchise mode, start a new franchise and
set the user amount to 32 users. Turn fantasy draft on. Then,
start fantasy mode and draft your team as you would if you were
drafting a team full of the best players in the NFL, but with
different teams. Once you have drafted a few All-Stars and gone
through two or three rounds picking, you should have the base
for a perfect football team. You can simulate the rest of the
draft and go on to =franchise mode. Then, go to the trade menu
and you can get all your best players that you drafted by just
trading with the so called "users". For example, get
Peyton Manning for a player such as Chris Simms. Once you have
selected a player from the team you want to play with, with a
good player from another team, a screen will appear asking if
you and the other "user" agree with the trade. Answer
"Yes" and you will now have an All-Star in place of
a bad player.
Drew Hashop.
To receive high draft picks easily, sign high rated free agents
such as Joe Johnson (rated 86) then trade them to teams with poor
standings before the draft deadline expires (if you have not disabled
the deadline). The poor standing teams will usually take the players
for their first round picks, and sometimes you can even get more
than one draft pick from a team for the player. This will give
you high draft picks without having to trade important players
or draft picks of your own.
Mike Yargeau.
Use the following trick to get a great team in franchise mode
without a high salary cost. Start a new franchise. Pick a team.
Do a fantasy draft and pick all the worst players. Then, release
all of them and make your team from scratch, through create-a-player
mode. Once done with the height, faces, etc., do not change the
attributes. Save the player and sign him. Once you sign him, go
back to create-a-player. Select his name and change all his attributes
to maximum. Repeat this until you have a stacked team. The reason
that all the worst players were selected is to keep you from having
a high cap penalty during the next season. Note: This will take
a few hours to complete.
Dylan Mc.
Hint: Fantasy draft:
The following players are selected in the rounds after
their name. Therefore, you can draft them in the previous round
if you have a good draft pick. For example, pick #6 to 10.
Roy Williams(FS): 7
Tony Gonzalez: 12
Deangelo Hall: 13
Ed Reed: 8
Larry Fitzgerald: 10
D. Akers: 21
Shane Lechler: 23
Rashaun Woods: 31
Jim Kleinsasser: 20
Clinton Portis: 2
Brian Urlacher: 2
Steven Jackson: 27
Roy Williams(WR): 8
Lee Evans: 15
Dante Hall: 15
Reggie Williams: 16
Justin Smith: 5
Julius Peppers: 3
For example, if Brian Urlacher is drated in the second round,
you must draft him in the first. If Dante Hall is drafted in the
fifteenth round, you must draft him in the fourteenth round. Note:
These players are always drafted in the round given; choose wisely.
Eric Althauser.
Use the following steps to get Charles Woodson in franchise mode.
Sign LB Jason Gildon or John Mobley then trade him with a first
round and perhaps second round pick, and get Charles Woodson and
a third round pick. After you get him, re-sign him for seven years
and his morale should go up.

In the fantasy draft, there are obvious stars that go great with
any team but there are also some players how are rated fairly
low (85 or below) and still seem like they cannot be stopped:
Pitviper90627.
Jerome Bettis HB
Chris Gamble CB
R. Mathis CB
Eli Manning QB
Warrick Dunn HB
Micheal Lewis WR
Kenny Mixon LE
Kenchi Udeze RE
R.W. McQuarters CB
Ben Roethelisburger QB
Corneilius Griffin DT (rated 87)
Reggie Wayne WR
Some player are highly rated, but arguably do not perform as they
should.
Pitviper90627.
Mike McKenzie CB
Edgerrin James HB
Issac Bruce WR
Matt Hasselbeck QB
Chris Hovan DT
Corey Dillion
Takeo Spikes
Ted Washington
Hint: Recommended players:
To get a good team in the future you must get good
rookies. Note: If you start them, they will get great very quickly.
Some such players are as follows.
Football247kid.
Larry Fitzgerald WR
Eli Manning QB
Sean Taylor FS
Roy Williams WR
Keniche Udeze DE
Robert Gallery LT
DeAngelo Hall CB
Steven Jackson RB
Bob Sanders FS
Ben Roethlisbergr QB
Hint: Faster player improvement:
Before playing under the All-Pro or All-Madden difficulty
settings, play your franchise under the Rookie or Pro levels so
you can increase stats for your players easily. This will give
them more attribute upgrades throughout the season. The more yards
your receivers or running backs get, the more points their ratings
will increase.
Robert Carbuccia.
Hint: More effective running game:
First, make a tight end. His name, college, etc. is
your choice. When you edit his appearance, make him 6'8",
and 275 to 300 lbs. Then, make him have a muscular bulid in his
body and arms. If you set his attributes ti above average or better
(overall between 84 to 99), when you run a play that involves
running towards the side the tight end is set, he will open holes
and lanes that will enable you to gain 6 to 7 yards a carry.
Frank Franklin.
Hint: Tear up defenses:
On the All-Madden difficulty setting, use the Redskins
playbook. Select the Was - J.Gibbs playbook. In the game, run
on first down then select the Shotgun Trips formation on second
down. If the Nickelback is not lined up with the second receiver,
he is coming to get you or he is playing flat zone. If so, put
the first receiver on a fly/streak route, and make the third receiver
post to the sideline. This will work all the time if you have
an accurate passer.
brandon leach.
Hint: Receiver distraction:
Use this trick when you are struggling on defense or
you just want a turnover. Just before an opposing receiver catches
a pass, press Triangle to "distract" the receiver.
About 99% of the time he will drop or fumble the pass. This also
works with a QB. Make sure you blitz, then as he is about to throw,
press Triangle. He might throw it backwards. Then, the
screen will read "Fumble". Use this near your endzone
for easy safeties. Note: If you make a mistake, you will give
the other team an easy touchdown and their morale will rise, causing
them to play better. Note: This also works in two player mode.
Andrew Pressley.
Hint: Easy deep routes:
You can make an adjustment to your route in create-a-playbook
that can make throwing the deep route much easier and the game
more fun. In create-a-playbook, if you have a normal streak, adjust
the route so that it is going to the side of the receiver (if
on the right side, adjust the route to the right; if on left,
adjust the route to the left). It is like a fade, and make sure
it is at the maximum vertical yardyage. In a game, it usually
works best with a play action, but it also is effective in shotgun
against a normal man on man with a safety over the top situation.
You should wait about two to three seconds, then lob it. It works
well when you have a top speed receiver such as Bethel Johnson
or Dante Hall, or against a cornerback about 93-94 speed.
Mike Ramkhelawan.
Hint: Easy yards:
Select a team, then go to the options and choose NYG-Tom
Coughlin's playbook. Make sure your running back has at least
92 speed. Go the "I twins" and choose the "Off
Tackle" play. It works all the time. Make sure there is no
CB on the empty side and do not run it on third and long. If the
hole is stuffed, always run directly at the tightend then spin
and run toward and up the sideline. If done correctly, the only
person that can get you is the safety. Also you should at least
get a first down (depending on the level of play), if not a 20
or more yard gain. You also can run it to the side of twins; just
make sure that the LBs and the line is shifted all the way to
the right. If not, keep audibling the original play. It does not
do anything for you, but gets the defense to start shifting around.
Keep doing it until all of the LBs and the line shift all the
way to the right.
GiantsGiants6.
For easy completions almost every time, use Lovie Smith's playbook.
In that playbook, go to "Shotgun" then the "Trips"
formation. In the formation, use almost any play in it. You will
get a 2 on 3 wide receiver mismatch. Be careful, as the CPU will
learn how to move their players over there, and will eventually
know your play if you run it too often.
Drew Corey.
Use the following trick to get easy yards on the passing game.
Make sure you pick a team with a good receiving tight end and
at least one fast receiver. Also, make sure you have the play
"Posts" on the Singleback formation. This play is very
effective against any defense, and especially on a third and long
play. Once you snap the ball, wait until the tight end slants
on the post route then throw him a bullet pass. Almost all of
the time he will complete the pass and get enough yards for the
first down. Also, if you see that the receiver on the right has
a lot of separation from the coverage, you can tap the button
he is assigned to give him a long lob pass, that if completed
could be good for about a forty-fifty yard completion, and he
may also have enough separation to go for a touchdown. Most of
the time though, just throw it to the tight end. It takes a very
long time for the defenses to adjust, and you will be racking
up points easily.

Hint: Ground Attack mini-camp:
An easy way to get gold on each level is to stand behind
two pillars (linemen) that are bunched together and use playmaker
to make your Full Back knock one of the other team's players down.
After you have blocked them, it will be easier to score touchdowns
or get long runs. This works most of the time.
WassupMan182.
Hint: Increased attendance in franchise
mode:
Before playing a home game, enter the "Owner's"
menu and set your "Advertising" as high as possible.
After you play your game, return to the "Owner's" menu
and set "Advertising" to zero, then simulate the rest
of the games for that week. You will not be charged for the advertising,
but your attendance will be higher. Do this before every home
game to keep your attendance high without paying extra.
Robert Carbuccia.
Hint: Selecting a team in franchise mode:
Always choose a team that has between three and five
good players on both sides of the ball (for example, the Philadelphia
Eagles). That team has a very good passing game with T.O., and
you can usually score on the first play of every drive you have.
The Eagles also have a powerhouse defense with Kearse, Dawkins,
Simon. Another good team to use, especially if you like to pass
is the Indianapolis Colts, with Peyton Manning. The Colts have
the weapons on offense to be a great team, but their defense has
held them back from making the Superbowl. Also, if there is certain
player that is not on the team you selected, use the following
tricks. Do a fantasy draft and draft the desired player (for example,
Ray Lewis). Another way that is not as time-consuming is to create
a superstar rookie with all stats maxed at 99, with your choice
for the name, appearance, and position. Sign your superstar rookie
to your team for seven years and whatever amount of money you
choose to give him. Note: you may take a hit in the salary cap
if you use this method.

In the last quarter in multi-player mode, score with
no time remaining for the kickoff (for example, three seconds
remaining, run for a touchdown or throw). Make sure when you are
in the endzone that the clock is at "0". Choose to punt,
and not an extra point kick. Set the meter as high as possible.
Kick it as hard as possible; it does not have to be 100 -- just
make it a good kick. Then after the ball goes through, anyone
who has a controller should keep pressing L1 + R1
continuously very quickly, like for a replay. If replay comes
up, watch the entire thing, then keep pressing L1 + R1.
If the replay does not come up, keep pressing even when the score
appears at the end. The kickoff screen should appear and say something
strange for the yardage or play. Choose to kick. The other team
will be invisible, but they will still be there. After every play
or a couple of them, they will begin to appear. There is no time
limit, allowing you to play for as long as desired to accumulate
stats, points, etc. To exit, pause and end the game.
