Hint: Easy money:
Enable the "Master Code" then go to the career map and enter any event. Exit the event the first chance you get. After doing this, go into your garage. You will see that four new cars have been added to your collection: a Nissan 240 SX, a modern Pontiac GTO, a Chevy Cobalt SS, and a Dodge Viper SRT 10. You can keep any cars desired, but by selling all four of these newly added cars you can get $90,290 quickly. You can reset the game and repeat the process until you get the desired amount of money.

This trick is best done with auto-save enabled to makes things faster. Go to Career mode and enable the "Master Code". Go to an event day. As soon as you can, leave that event day and go to your garage. You should see that you have a few extra cars. Sell those cars to get about $90,000. Go back out to the main menu. As you do this, the auto save will kick in and save the game. After it is done saving, reset the system. Notice that you no longer have the cars you sold but you will still have the $90,000 you received from selling them. This trick can be used as many times as desired. Also, because you have everything unlocked you can use this trick to get a Lamborghini, a Chevelle, a Skyline, or anything else desired at the very start of the game. The fully enjoy this cheat, play the game as far as the Chicago Showdown.

Note: This trick may take some time, but it is worth it. Turn on the system, load a saved career.. Go to the code entry screen and enable the "Master Code". Save the game and return to the main menu. Load your saved career again. Go to the "Cars" option, then to your garage. You will find four other cars in your garage, from the cheat code. Sell those cars to make at least $90,000 or more. Save the game. Turn off the system, then turn it on again. Repeat the process to make more money. Note: The "Master Code" can only be used once.

Hint: Grip races:
The best grip car is the Porsche 911 Turbo with all stage 4 parts. Keep the front tires narrow for better handling in curves. This car will dominate in all grip races. It can be used to defeat Ryo for the title without tuning. Use the best body kit and spoiler available and max them out.

Glitch: Free repair and totaled markers:
Turn off the autosave option to make this trick work faster. Enter a race day and you will have two of each marker. You do not have to race any races. You can leave and still keep them. Keep entering and leaving a race day repeatedly to get as many markers as desired.

Glitch: Changing backgrounds:
When you go to the garage when you are upgrading a car you won or bought, notice that the backgrounds suddenly change into something completely different, even showing your car as if being suspended or flying over a black hole. This is especially true on both first and current generation PlayStation2 consoles.

On some tracks (for example, the Tokyo Dockyard), there are missing parts. For example, hitting a huge water patch in the middle and then "Loading..." appears. The best thing you can do is to allow it to run as usual.
