Hint: Unlimited magic butterflies: Go to the cave in Onett and find the location where
you can see the giant step but cannot get to it. Keep entering
and exiting this location, heal yourself, then get more butterflies
as needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Matthew Schultz.
Find the hole in the ground in the maze of tunnels under Tenda
Village. Use it to drop down to a small cavern with a black talking
rock and a butterfly. The rock will say similar to "You're
in the Earth's belly button". Get the butterfly, then walk
just far enough out of that room so the rock is no longer visible.
Walk back in and the butterfly will re-appear. Keep collecting
the butterflies as needed for full HP and HPP.
Information in this section was contributed by Dan Silverman.
Hint: Extreme attributes with Rock Candy:
After collecting a Rock Candy, place it in your inventory
and only buy sugar packets. Make sure to "Give" the
item to the character holding it (for example, Jeff "gives"
to Jeff), so the Rock Candy is in the bottom right of your inventory
(this is important). Next, enter a battle that you will not "auto
win". Use the Rock Candy as you would any other item. Instead
of the Rock Candy being used, it will consume the Sugar Packet
instead. Note: You cannot have your stats go above 255 or the
meters will reset. This will make you go dangerously low considering
you will be in the later stage of the game. Note: Empty all of
Paula's, Jeff's, and Poo's inventory (Escargo Express), giving
them only the Rock Candy. Go to Scarabia and fill all of their
inventories with Sugar Packets except for Ness. He has mandatory
items such as the Receiver, Phone, and ATM Card. Even at higher
levels you should not auto-win, making it much easier to level
your team's stats. The stats gained are predetermined as soon
as you enter the desert (when you begin to sweat). If playing
the game on an ZNES, save your state before entering the desert
if you are not happy with results. Also, you can simply "fast
forward" during battles and just have Ness defend. Note:
Use this trick before reaching level 99 or you cannot exceed the
Health/PSI (Vitality/IQ respectively) you are currently at.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Unlimited food items: This is the same as the "Extreme attributes with
Rock Candy" trick, however instead of Rock Candy just use
any food item. Make sure it is located in the bottom right of
your inventory. When you use it during battle, it will consume
the condiment and not the food. This trick is especially helpful
for "Brain Food Lunches" combined with "Jar of
Hot Sauce" or "Sugar Packets" and "Magic Truffle/PSI
Caramels".
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Easy money: Use this technique to to increase your money early
in the game. After reaching Twoson, there is a booth at Berlin
Park (the flea market place) that sells fresh eggs. Buy as many
fresh eggs as possible. Go to the Twoson shopping mall and wait.
Give each egg three minutes or so to grow and hatch. Sell the
chickens at a profit of $98 per egg. Note: Do not try to "Use"
the chicken or it will run away.
Information in this section was contributed by Jesse Smith.
Go to Happy Happy village, and find the stand where you can buy
fresh eggs or bananas for free. Buy as many eggs as possible,
wait for them to become chickens, sell them to the man at the
drug store for $110 each.
Information in this section was contributed by James Raymond.
There is a man sitting at a table on the left side inside the
Hotel in Twoson . Talk to him ten to twenty times and he will
give you some extra money.
Information in this section was contributed by pjmoss.
Talk to the man in the Twoson Hotel sitting at the table outside
your room. He will keep saying different things like, "It's
so hot out today", followed by, "Is it cold today?".
Keep talking to him until he finally says "Here, go buy yourself
a juice or something".
Information in this section was contributed by VileX13.
After you defeat Master Belch, go back to Threed and enter the
hospital. Go to the room with no one in it and walk over to the
night stand. Press R or check and you will find an insignificant
item. You can sell this for $1 at a store and $25 at the Happy
Happy village store. Note: This item actually has another use
in the game. Travel to Twoson and enter the hospital. There is
a man there that will take the item and give you a Magic Truffle
in return.

Go to the tunnel that takes you to the desert. When walking near
the end of the road, you will see a sign that says "Desert".
Go up and you will find a present containing $1000.
Information in this section was contributed by StarTrekKid2378.
Go to the bridge with the ghosts in it. When you get to the outside,
hold Right (with a rubber band or tape) so you move into
the bridge. The ghosts will make you come back out where you started.
This will go on indefinitely. When you call Dad he will have deposited
lots of money in your account. The amount he deposits depends
on how many steps you take.
Information in this section was contributed by KoRnFaN32.
If you kill a lot of enemies, go to the ATM machine. Your dad
will have deposited extra money depending on the experience you
received for the monster (for example, when you defeat someone
guarding the "your sanctuary" places).
Information in this section was contributed by Billy_Bob.
Hint: Easy experience: After reaching the desert, there will be a single tree
above the first Pyramid. Run around the desert for a while, then
return to the tree. Eventually, a creature that resembles a red
caterpillar will appear, running around very fast. Catch it and
repeat (you can keep four alive) to get about 20,000 experience
each. This may be repeated as needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Meteo.
In the part where you reach the desert after Treed, go into the
open. Rarely, a green caterpillar runs around but does not seem
to have any interest to fight. Instead, it will run away. Keep
following it and do not go any other way or it will disappear.
He will end up being trapped from escaping you. You can get it
from behind. When you get to him, you will win with an automatic
death. You will get over 10,000 experience points. If you have
Poo, it will be worth over 7,000 experience points.
Information in this section was contributed by Harmlessbronxite.
Before defeating Master Belch, there are small red berry-like
animals. They die easily and give great experience. When you first
find them, defeat them, go down the ladder, defeat the other ones,
then go slightly to the left, down the ladder, defeat those, and
repeat. When you reach level 45, you will be ready to beat Master
Belch.
Information in this section was contributed by Utilefreakster.
Once you get enough experience points, your enemies will try to
avoid you. Go up to them and your screen will turn green. You
will then hear the sound of an explosion sound and get the experience
points. Note: This does not work on Bosses.
Information in this section was contributed by ARtiCIN2001.
In the cave that leads to Giant Step and the underground cave
at the Tenda Village, there will be small enemies that have round
heads and two legs running around. They normally attack in numbers
ranging from one to ten (usually six). Take them on in a battle.
Their PSI attacks hardly ever hit, and their damage is weak. Also,
they give you a large amount of experience points.
Information in this section was contributed by Amoeba.
There are several locations that result in easy experience. The
following are the most profitable: Note: If your characters are
uneven in levels, find a monster that has Poison and kill a party
member. You will gain more experience.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Onett: Killing The Sharks near the arcade station. Early on, these
opponents will give you trouble, especially the skateboarding
ones (they thrash). The Pogo Sharks drop hamburgers and often they
call for help (and thus more experience).
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Giant Step: Killing Attack Slugs. They do not do hardly any
damage to you as long as you buy the best equipment early. The
Slugs travel in packs. For a real challenge, get the 1/128 chance
item Bomb for fun.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Happy Happy Village: Killing Insane Cultist. Go to the Inn and
run in and out of the building. The Insane Cultist results in
lots of experience and the inn is cheap to stay at. Eventually
you will auto win battles or one-shot them, making the experience
gain that much faster.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
StoneHedge as Jeff (Winters near the lab): Before you travel
to Summers and just have Jeff as your party, make sure to take
advantage of the Cave Boy. These opponents can hit hard, but drop
Picnic Lunches continuously and result in large amounts of experience.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Belch's Factory: Killing Foppys. These little red creatures often
travel in big packs (maximum six per battle) and result in lots
of experience. When you first enter the Factory, move to the right
and find the first ladder. Go up and down the ladder and Foppys
should continuously appear.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Desert: Killing the Green/Red Caterpillar: If you are adventurous,
you can run around and find the Green/Red CaterPillars roaming
the desert between Threed and Fourside. This is not recommended
because of the very low spawn probabilities.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Scarabia: Killing the Red Caterpillar. This opponent will result
in 20,000 experience points and usually is found just outside
the city. It is slightly more rare to find, but is worth it when
you catch him. This is not recommended because of very low spawn
probabilities.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Stonehedge: Killing Starman Supers. While trying to get the Sword
Of Kings for Poo, it is inevitable that you will gain quite a
few levels trying to obtain the rare item. If are very lucky and
get the sword immediately, continuously fight the Starman Supers
as they result in good experience.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Lumine Hall: Killing Fobbys. These opponents are similar to the
Foppy except they are orange and travel in big packs. They often
huddle near the very entrance, making them easy to find and kill.
A pack of six is worth over 20,000 experience points.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Getting the four ultimate/legendary
weapons: Complete the indicated task to get the corresponding
weapon.
Information in this section was contributed by blackmage5072.
The Gutsy Bat: Obtained from Bionic Krakens in the Cave of the
Past (1/128 chance).
The Magic Fry Pan: Obtained from Chompasaurs in the Lost Underworld.
Note: The Holy Fry Pan is actually stronger, but this is the rare
weapon for Paula (1/128 chance).
The Baddest Gaia Beam: Can be repaired from the Broken Antenna,
which can be obtained from the Uncontrollable Sphere in the Lumine
Hole. Note: You may want to spy on this enemy, since it explodes
after you kill it. It requires either 65 or 75 IQ to repair (1/128
chance).
The Sword of Kings: Obtained from the Starman Super in the Stonehenge
Cave. Note: An easier way to do this is to go into the room before
you see the captured hostages before Starman DX. You can possibly
fight two Starman Supers at once. Also, approach them from their
sides or the front to get a first attack (1/128 chance).
Hint: Broken Antenna: The Broken Antenna is obtained by killing the Uncontrollable
Spheres located beneath Tenda Village and between the Underworld
(1/128 chance). Your first priority is to get the Sanctuary Location
(Electro Specter is the Boss), thus the enemies now run away from
you. Instead of falsely having to prepare for a lot of fights
(as the Uncontrollable Spheres explode when they die), they now
will run away from you. If you are at a high enough level, they
are auto win fights. Note: The best location to find the Uncontrollable
Spheres is in the dead end where there is a Present and talking
rock that says "The underground rock wants to talk a lot
more that I do." This location should be the very first ladder
you find as you enter. Move up and down the ladder, making sure
you only engage one Uncontrollable Sphere. If there are Conducting
Spirits, they will team up with the Uncontrollable Spheres and
prevent an auto win.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
The Broken Antenna can be found by defeating a monster called
the Uncontrollable sphere in the Lumine hall before the underground
part of the game.
Information in this section was contributed by Jennifer Irick.
Hint: Casey Bat: When you get the Casey Bat, do not use it. It is a
powerful bat, but normally has a horrible accuracy with a one
in four chance of hitting anything.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
When you have the Casey Bat, do not use it. Get into a battle
and go to "Goods". Select the Casey Bat and it will
always hit.
Information in this section was contributed by TheDeepEvilOne.
Hint: Death Ray: The Death Ray for Jeff is located in the Tenda village
in the junk yard.
Information in this section was contributed by Jared Martens.
Hint: Ego Orb: Search in the lost underworld near the fire spring.
You may have to do a lot of walking to locate him.
Information in this section was contributed by Jared Martens,
Hint: Goddess Ribbon: The Goddess Ribbon is obtained by killing Ghost of
Starman located either in Onett Invaded (late game) or Cave of
the Past (1/128 chance). Run to your house in Onett. Continue
to run in and out of your home engaging the Ghost of Starman.
Use whatever abilities you feel necessary, reserving none of your
PP. After the battle is over, run back inside and have some of
your "favorite food" and a free stay for full HP and
PP! Note: It is not recommended that you get the Goddess Ribbon
in the Cave of the Past. It is a lot harder to isolate them, and
there are other Starman types located there.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Gutsy Bat: The Gutsy Bat is obtained by killing Bionic Krakens
located in the Cave of the Past (1/128 chance). Go to the very
end, just before you reach the area that resembles a brain. Move
back and forth between the corridor, as you will find that the
Bionic Krakens have a higher probability of appearing there. Note:
You cannot get the Gutsy Bat by killing Krakens in Magicent. Also,
if you used the "Extreme attributes with Rock Candy"
trick, this is another item that will not benefit you much.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Magic Fry Pan: The Magic Fry Pan is obtained by killing Chomposaurs
in the Underworld (1/128 chance). Stand near the "blue geyser"
and run back and forth between screens, doing your best to only
engage with the Chomposaurs (purple dinosaurs). Instead of having
to waste time using the shield killer, just auto attack taking
the damage and refill near the geyser when needed. Note: This
item increases Offense by +50 and Guts +100, however it has a
25% miss rate. If you chose to use the "Extreme attributes
with Rock Candy " trick, this item is a complete waste of
time as the Holy Fry Pan actually does more damage and your Guts
should be increased substantially already.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Star Pendant: The Star Pendant is obtained by killing Major Psychic
Psychos located at the Fire Spring (1/128 chance). The very first
room you find after you first enter Fire Spring is a dead end
with a present at the end. There is no need to search, as this
room almost 100% of the time will have a Psychic Psycho and a
Major Psychic Psycho. When you need health, leave the cave entrance
and use the blue geyser just outside of Fire Spring. Use the trees
in the Underworld to avoid any battles before reaching the blue
geyser. Note: You can get more than one Star Pendant, and it is
recommended that you do so. If you are feeling lucky, get three.
They are useful against fire, freeze, flash, and paralysis attacks.
The Sea Pendant does not protect against paralysis, which is important
later.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Sword Of Kings: The Sword Of Kings is obtained by killing the Starman
Super in the cave beneath Stonehedge after using the Eraser Eraser
(1/128 chance). Instead of having to guess whether its a Starman
Super or a Starman, advance through the cave until you reach all
of your friends (Apple Kid, Tony, etc.) locked up in tubes. Then,
continue to go back and forth between the door on the left. The
room with the blue floor and the occasional "loss of lights"
contain only Starman Supers instead of both. You can tell because
Starman Supers give 7,400 experience points as opposed to 5,000
experience points. When you are at a high enough level, you will
autoutmatically win single battles of Starman Supers. Note: Do
not kill Starman DX or you cannot get the Sword of Kings.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: T-Rex Bat: Use the following trick to get the T-Rex Bat in Winters
(first encounter). This can be a bit of work, however it is worth
it. When you first play as Jeff and leave the school, make sure
you have picked up every item possible. Immediately outside of
the store as you are moving toward your location (Tessie), you
should encounter either a Dog, Crow, or Goat. The Goats are best
for experience, however the Dogs are what you want to kill most.
They often drop Bread Rolls for $6. The Crows will drop Cookies
most of the time for $3. Go to the Tessie watchers cook tent (not
the first tent you encounter), and repair the Broken Spray Can
to receive the Defense Spray. This will be the bulk of your money.
Continue to do this and sell them repeatedly to get the T-Rex
Bat very early in the game. Note: If you want a challenge, you
could try for the Non-stick Fry Pan. However this takes a lot
more time to accomplish.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Never obtaining the Sound Stone:
At the very start of the game, make sure to continuously
kill the Crows before first encountering the Bee at the meteorite,
gaining a lot of Cookies. Completely fill your inventory before
talking with Pokey's Mom. When she kills the Bee and you go to
talk to him, listen to his story. At the end he will try to give
you the Sound Stone. You will get to see rare text and he "magically"
gives the Sound Stone to Ness' sister. This frees up an extremely
important inventory slot at the very beginning of the game. Note:
Do not talk to Ness' sister in person, as she will try to give
the Sound Stone back to you. You can call her via Escargo Express;
just not in person. You still record the melodies in the game
without the Sound Stone for nice glitch.
Information in this section was contributed by Gage Evans.
Hint: Fast pizza: To get your pizza within seconds instead of waiting
ten to twenty minutes, make sure you have enough money in hand
for however many pizzas you want. Make the call to the Mach pizza
and place your order. Then, give Dad a call and save the game.
Turn the SNES off, then back on. Load your game and the pizza
man should come running up within a few seconds. This can be done
as many time as needed, and is helpful before exploring a dungeon.
Information in this section was contributed by ReVeLaTeD.
Hint: Defeating Belch: After you get to the swamp, you will see an army man
who will sell you multi-bottle rockets. Buy some, as they are
very useful. When fighting Master Belch in this area, have Jeff
use the multi-bottle rockets to kill Belch in one turn.
Information in this section was contributed by Garycb52.
Hint: Defeating Giygas: At all costs, you must keep Paula alive. After you
fight him the second time, keep having Paula Pray. Keep doing
this the entire time and Giygas will be destroyed.
Information in this section was contributed by thperki.
Hint: Defeating Pokey: Fire two or three multi-bottle rockets. He will go
down very quickly. Also, have Paula cast her Psychic Shield on
everyone (not Psychic Power Shield) to make all of Giygas's spells
disappear instead of reflecting them back at him, thus making
it reflect back to you.
Information in this section was contributed by blackmage5072.
Hint: Defeating Bosses: When going against a Boss, use Paralysis on him, then
attack him normally until he dies.
Information in this section was contributed by Coolcat912.
Hint: Avoid enemies: When you first see an enemy/enemies, stand still. If
it/they do not chase after you, walk until the enemy is about
two or three inches off screen, then return to the same location.
They enemies could be gone, multiply, or still be there. Repeat
this trick until you get the desired amount of enemies. Note:
This does not work on Bosses.
Information in this section was contributed by Threefiddy350.
Hint: Free hints from the hint men: Call your dad on the phone and save the game. Go to
the hint man and pay the fee for your hint. After you have the
hint, turn off the game. When you resume, you will be at the save
before you paid for the hint, thus saving your money.
